Easy to deal with, zero pressure sales. They sell top-of-the-line products at a good price. Many compliments on the final product. The deck is great for sitting outside and contemplating life, past Decisions and future. You can also sit on the deck and eat food, very nice. And have a cocktail if you choose it is very good for that.Highly recommend the low-voltage lights. Having them with a key fob dimmer and photocell is slick. Perfect amount of light for nighttime deck use.

This is a five start review for a 5 star company.You don’t need to be afraid to purchase anything from the deck store online folks.IMO, in order for a review to be meaningful it has to include all aspects of the purchasing and support experience. This review is no exception.First and foremost, anyone will gladly take your money then make you wait, and wait, and wait some more to receive your order, but not these folks. My order was shipped and received within 5 days of placing it.Secondly, while you hope you never need to experience “after the sale support”, it is good to know that the folks at the deck store stand behind everything they sell.For me, that meant dealing with a faulty Trex Hub/Splitter. After calling the support number and being told to also email a request to their support team asking to have the failed splitter replaced, I received an email in less than 30 minutes letting me know that a new splitter was being shipped out the same day!While it may not sound like replacing a $6.50 part is a big deal, it’s important to note how that “little $6.50 part” can hold up a $13,000.00 project.Yeah, you read that right. If the lights don’t work then the project isn’t done until they do. These folks helped me keep the project on schedule.

Great company, great products, at a great price. I called in several times and was able to speak to someone to answer all my questions. Shipping was fast and the products they carry are great.

I would stay away from this place. I ordered railing parts and they sent me two different colors. As the installers came the next day the package arrived, I had to go out and buy the parts at a local home deopt which required me to get parts that were not as nice as the ones I wanted. To add insult to injury, they refused to send me a return label, which cost me $50 AND they charged me a 10% restocking fee to take back the incorrect shipment. Thankfully I charged it on my AMEX card, who will take care of it for me.

Bob designed the perfect deck for us in less than an hour using his pencil, paper, his creative talent, and listening skills. The build crew, Cory and Troy, perfectly translated Bobs design into a great deck! The build crew were so easy to work with and just plain good guys. It was our pleasure to get to know them. Years after the build, a deck lighting issue occured that could not have been foreseen and the build team took care of everything free of charge! You cant go wrong getting your deck from the Deck Store.

They have a very nice website and excellent price and selection. However, if the product you buy does not meet the description, dont expect much help. I bought a post cap light that was advertised as confirmed to fit the TimberTech Radiance post. It did not and their solution was to file it down to make it fit.

READ THE REVIEWS!!! I’d give zero stars but there’s no option. I ordered top rail for a deck. Was THE biggest mistake, that I used this company, from day one. I’ve truly never had to deal with a company like this place. The worst ever. From their website saying it was a “in-stock” item, but having to wait 3 months to the incompetent customer service reps. I really can’t comprehend how this place is still doing business. Do yourself a favor, don’t waste your time. Shop elsewhere.

Excellent Customer Service! I ordered over $1300 worth of decking materials that arrived promptly. When I received my order, I noticed that one of the TREX 4x4 post sleeves had a crack at one of the corners. I noticed this on the weekend and I sent The Deck Store an email and pictures showing the damaged item. First thing Monday morning, The Deck Store reached out to me, apologized and informed me that they would immediately ship out a replacement post sleeve. I immediately received a tracking number and promptly received the replacement. I received the replacement on Saturday due to weather issues. I opened the box of the new sleeve and the corners of the new sleeve were smashed. This damage obviously occurred during shipping and handling. I again emailed The Deck Store and first thing Monday they responded and again apologized. I told them that I did not blame them for the damaged sealed TREX item and they immediately sent out another replacement. No questions asked. I received the replacement in perfect condition on Friday. Their customer service was excellent, and their prices were reasonable compared to their competitors.

I placed my fascia board order online late on a Wednesday and Thursday afternoon I got a call that my order was ready for pickup. Everyone I dealt with was polite. I will definitely recommend The Deck Store to my family and friends.

Deck store online is the best! Our projects have involved multiple hardware and decking needs. They always have what we need and because we’re close, when we go to pick up our order everything is ready. We took on a massive DIY multi-level deck with hot tub, multiple stairs, Trex decking, LED post lighting and could not have done it without their product knowledge and availability!

The staff was incredibly helpful. I went there for my daughters deck railing and then later went back when I replaced my deck and railing. Delivery was prompt and everything came in one shipment.

We ordered solar caps for our deck posts and we were very happy with the product, packaging and delivery time. The customer service team were very helpful to help us get the correct measurements!!

I need color matched deck screws. I called the company and asked for samples before I ordered. They quickly obliged. I then placed a large order of 3500 screws. I received them promptly and they are exactly what needed. The quality seems to be good. The torx heads fit my driver bit well. All in all these are good screws from what appears to be a good company.

Dont order from them. It is taking weeks to get what I should have had in days. I ordered the same items from Home Depot, same price, but I received them three times faster than from The Deck Store. Customer service didnt seem to care about delays and incomplete orders.

I purchased materials online to build a new deck. It took a couple weeks for all my materials to arrive. It further took me a couple weeks to complete my deck. Realizing the railing products I bought would not work with my deck, I tried to return the railing material. I was told there are no returns after 30 days, even on unopened materials.Highly do not recommend! 30 day return policy doesn’t take into account the amount of time it takes for the materials the get shipped, nor the fact that it takes more than a day for a normal homeowner to build a complete deck from start to finish.Don’t order extra because you can’t return it!

Customer service was friendly and knowledgeable as they answered questions I had while trying to place my order for deck boards and railings. They were also able to provide updates on my order availability because Covid-19 had production and vendors shut down which led to products being placed on back order. Also, the delivery company had damaged some of my boards during the delivery process and The Deck Store promptly got the replacement boards shipped out.

I was buying Trex Transcend materials to build a set of steps for a back door. Before I sent in my order, I asked the Deck Store to review my order versus the detailed plans that I created and sent them. I was told that the order looked good.The materials arrived rather slowly, but this was likely due to the transportation mode (UPS) rather than the Deck Store. Two of the trim rings around the post columns were damaged and it took multiple weeks to receive the replacement ones after I contacted the Deck Store and sent pictures of the damaged rings. To their credit, they did not charge me ($7.95 each) for the replacements or the shipping.My HUGE frustration was when I tried to install the black 3/4 TREX balusters (approved by the Deck Store as part of my original order) that I bought with the Trex Transcend Baluster Trim kit. The Transcend Baluster Trim kit was built to interface exclusively to the more expensive Trex Composite Balusters, not the Trex Aluminum Balusters. Now I have to box up the Aluminum Balusters and send them back and order new Composite Balusters to replace the aluminum ones. This is something that The Deck Store experts should have noted in the review of my original order and could have saved me from cutting the Baluster Trim kits to size, essentially forcing me to now use the more expensive composite balusters. To add insult to injury, they appear to still be selling the Trex Round Aluminum Balusters without specific warning that there is a different trim kit required than the current Transcend Baluster trim kit (along with a reference for where to find it on their website). This allows other DIYers not familiar with the Trex Transcend materials to make the same mistake. I am going to solicit them to not charge me for shipping the composite balusters and send me a shipping authorization to ship the aluminum balusters back to them for free - a more damning review to come if they do not agree.Feb 8 Update - Received an email response from TDS (over the weekend when they are closed) saying that they wanted to work it out. About noon (two days after I wrote the review) , I received a call from their customer service asking what I needed to make it right. I asked them to ship the correct balusters free of charge (obviously, I paid the difference in price) and to send a Return Authorization for free shipping to return the wrong balusters. They agreed to both issues and asked for an update to my review - Review completed and very happy with the Deck Store for making it right - now I just hope that they credit my returned balusters and make an entry into their website warning that the small aluminum balusters will not work with the standard Trex Transcend Infill kits to prevent other DIYers from the same annoying problem. I recently purchased my deck building materials from the Deck Store and highly recommend this shop. You will get no-nonsense advice and better price from here compared to the big name home improvement stores. In addition, you will get to see the materials that you are considering purchasing in person and sometime in the deck models being displayed at the store. The shop will also let you return unused/unopened materials without any restocking fee. It is definitely a good first place to visit to get some ideas on your new decks design, materials, and cost.

What a great store. My small order of 2 composite boards showed up super fast and the staff was even nice enough to cut the boards so they would fit in my vehicle.

I stopped by The Deck Store with measurements of my deck to get ideas for replacement. Bob was able to quickly assess what I needed, offered design ideas to make it more appealing and put together a beautiful plan. He then showed me the material options in his store with suggestions as we went along. It was a very fun learning experience and I look forward to enjoying my new deck.

It was hard to decide how to write this review because it doesnt matter what I say the owner, Bob, will twist my words around and try to make everything sound like the customers (me) fault. I can honestly say I would not recommend using The Deck store based on how poorly the owner treated me in the end and how he negatively talked about other customers whom Im sure had the same experience as I did. Bob knows the products and is talented at design but very difficult to work with. I ended up using a different company and had such a wonderful experience. I have a beautiful deck and the people were so nice to work with, not what you will get with The Deck Store

Whether you are looking to have your deck built for you or if you would like to tackle it yourself, you need to check out this store. The showroom has all the decking and accessories imaginable. Bob and Cory helped my wife and me with our deck which we built with the help of a friend. They had excellent advice from design tips to how to handle some of the tricky stuff. For example, Bob urged me to go diagonal on my deck with a picture frame on the perimeter. That sounded very intimidating, but he assured us that it would be easier with less waste. He was right and it looks amazing, left to my own I would have settled for a much more pedestrian look. Thanks guys!

Beware... if you are not satisfied with your purchase, you will be charged a hefty “processing fee” on top of the return shipping cost. A very expense mistake to order from The Deck Store unless you are absolutely sure that you are purchasing exactly what you want.

The Deck Store is incredible. I work for a small nonprofit, that serves the seven county metro area, called Rebuilding Together Twin Cities, and the people at The Deck Store have been a huge supporter of ours. Over the last 9 months, we have received donations that have allowed us to build two full accessibility ramps for low-income older adults that wouldnt otherwise have been able to get in and out of their homes safely. We just finished redoing our front porch. We had a great experience at The Deck Store! Comparable prices to larger home stores and great individualized service. We walked in with some pictures and a rough sketch of what we were doing and were given great service. They gave us suggestions for what we could do, offered advice on how to get started and even offered advice as we were working. Supplies were ordered from our sketch and we didnt end up with too much or too little of anything! Even when I went into the store and told them I had a minor mis-cut, they offered me a replacement piece at no charge. I know I would never receive that service from one of the larger home improvement stores. I highly recommend the deck store and will use them again in the future!

Never in my life have I encountered such horrible service!! After the initial pick up of my $1800 worth of materials I had to make two more trips back to get things that were missed, I was told it was my fault for not looking at the invoice! Never offered an apology or compensate in any way! Today I went back to return $20 worth of unused wire and was told he didnt want me in his store taking advantage of him! He then said for me and all my troll friends to stay away!! Who calls their customers a TROLL???? Do NOT spend a little extra to help the small family store - this one is NOT worth it! He was an angry elf!!

The location says they open at 8am and Ive been waiting since 7:55 am it is now 8:11 am and their worker walked past me to unlock their front door to then shut it behind her with out saying a word. Horrible customer service from their female employees.

Read this before you order! If I had to do it over I would have ordered from Decks Direct. Called Deckstoreonline to make sure I had gotten everything necessary to install Vertacable by Westbury the answer was yes. The posts did not come with the assembly. Even though the picture on there website show the posts come with it. Next if you order the 8’ piece know that the top piece is at least two inches longer than the bottom so if your are doing wall mount or post mount (not crossover) you have to cut the top rail to length. Lastly the post skirt/flairs come assembled and there is no directions to open them! I called Deckstoreonline and they had no clue as how to open the post skirt/flairs!!!

I built my deck by myself, but needed guidance which was definitely provided. Their woods are better than others. USE CAMO FASTENERS!!!! CAMO FASTENERS TURN AN OK DECK INTO A AMAZING DECK!!!
