We were extremely fortunate to find R&J. We own and operate a mobile catering business so we need to be on the road. Our muffler brackets became detached which caused other issues in the exhaust system.I took it to the shop where Andy and team were able to get me out in a day.Not only was it quick they made some additional modifications at no extra charge. Their pricing is beyond fair.I could tell they were professionals form the moment I entered the shop.I need some additional welding done and without a doubt I am going to R&J.If you need mechanical work, small engine repairs, exhaust or welding these are your guys!!!!!!!

I removed my exhaust from my bike and brought to these guys to weld up a 1 inch long crack. I dropped it off Monday morning and was told it would be done same day. At the end of the day I was told the welder had an emergency and would do mine first thing in the morning. At the end of the second day I was told the same thing and that it would be done Wednesday. I didn’t appreciate being lied to so I took my pipe to J&j fabrication in pittsboro nc and they did a fantastic job right on the spot and for a great price! Don’t go to R&J welding unless you don’t need your vehicle back for a week.

Andy and his team are great to work with. They are very knowledgeable, accommodating and they perform work at a very fair price. I came for a leak in my car’s exhaust pipe and they fixed it well. I am so glad there are car shops that are not open to just rip you. Will highly recommend.

I had my exhaust for my 68 Mustang done here. They did an amazing job on a really difficult exhaust with side tips that go through a side skirt. Even when it took longer than they anticipated they only charged me the quoted amount. This is an old school exhaust place that you just cant find anymore. As pretty of a job they did I think it somehow sounds better than it looks. I will only use them for exhaust work in the future and will highly recommend anyone else to do the same.

I had a leaky flex pipe on my 2.2 S10 and the guys were able to get the old one out and the new on I provided with the gasket installed for a fair price. They did good work and now I have no more exhaust leak! Also while they were working on my truck they went ahead and secured my catalytic converter that was held on by zip ties for me at no charge. Highly recommended great guys.

This shop did an awesome job fabricating and repairing my restoration BMW exhaust.Job done well, reasonably priced and quick turn around. Wish I had been aware of this shop earlier!Welds were well done, painted to prevent rust, all fabrication work was phenomenal. Will definitely be using these guys again.

My parents company used to do lots of business with this shop. Was best in town until the previous owner passed away. Since then my friend was ripped off of $500 of improperly installed exhaust which they then charged him again to fix.For our issue they replaced a front axle for our Jeep. We picked one up that they sourced for us and put in. They delivered the car without checking that the 4wd worked and now the gear ratios between the axles are different. I called to see what we could do to correct this and they told me to pound rocks they have no responsibility to it. Also obviously didnt even check their work since I was the one who found the issue. Will never do business with them again after my experience and other horror stories Ive heard from people around here.Attached is the ring gear that was so shredded I couldnt count the teeth to make sure the gearing I was putting in was right.

Thought I need a new muffler and spoke to Andy about what my options were, over the phone. Dropped off the car as planned and picked it up right on schedule, when he said it would be ready. The bill......1/2 what I expected. Said there was a hole in the pipe between the CAT and the muffler that I had missed.Honest guy running a professional shop. What more can ya ask for? I had a quote from a place with a commercial and got a quote for nearly 1500$ and they had to order parts, called r & j and they had parts in stock and did the same job at a 1/3 of the quote and had my truck back the same day I dropped it off! Genuinely awesome guys as well, Andys a Kool kat.

I know I’m not the last to know this but if you have a classic car and need some help this is the place. I needed a new rear axle bearing presses on and they took care of of it quickly and at a reasonable price. They were fixing the taillights on a 66 Mustang when I pulled up and had a 69 Buick on the rack.

I took my 1991 Foxbody to R&J because my old mufflers were rusting out. I found this shop after getting a ridiculous quote from another muffler shop. R&J’s staff were quick and efficient, not to mention very friendly and explained to me the work that was needed. I found the price of the work to be very fair so it was a great experience in every aspect. When I went to pick up my car, the man brought it around and I heard the sound of my new mufflers and felt like a teenager again!! Thanks R&J!

This is the most professional shop I have ever been too in my life. Great people, welcoming environment and they are highly skilled. I called them up because my car was making a terrible sound I thought it was coming from the muffler. They squeezed me in for a same day appt. I arrived early for the appt and they took my car right away. Come to find out it was the fan and not the muffler. They fixed it in ten minutes and when I went to pay they told me dont worry about it! I was shocked and amazed to say the least. Fast service! Great customer service!! nice friendly staff!! I would give it no star if I could. We brought in our Escalade in here for a EVAP system issues, at first we thought they fixed it and was charged for $98.60 for the diagnostic. After a week, the check engine light came back on so I called and returned it for the same issue, this time the reading said theres a leak, so the man at the desk told us they needed to do a smoke test which is a $150 to see where it is and get it fixed and MAYBE it will solve the problem. We were charged for $304.98 for the services on January 8, after ONLY 4 DAYS, Jan 12, it came back again so I called them and told them, and was charged for $44.40 for THE SAME ISSUE. After a several days, check engine light came back AGAIN. Jan 22, I dropped it off and they said hopefully the repair that they did will keep it off, so we paid $360.74 for THE SAME ISSUE, only after a week, it came back AGAIN! This time, I spoke with the mechanic and they were so sorry about it and told me he has a friend coming down to help resolve the issue. This time I was not charged but only AFTER a week, the light came on. I was wrong for being so nice but yesterday just threw my whole mood off, when I was not offered to bring it back in and theyll try to fix it again. I will file a claim against this company if I dont get my money back for something that was not fixed. I understand that they tried, but in a business, you wouldve found out what the problem was in the first place and not just say, that if the light comes back on again its probably just aggravating you this what the man in the desk told us the last time we took the car back. Wouldnt go here if I were you.

R&J rerouted my exhaust above the frame rail on my Landcruiser. The work was excellent and exactly what I wanted. They even added heat shields on the piping that comes closest to the body. I dropped off the truck and fully expected it to take 2 days as originally promised. R&J had it done by 10am the day I dropped it off. I cannot recommend these guys enough.

Ive been using this shop for over ten years. Had everything from new pipes put on to getting bearings pressed on PRECISELY for hobby applications. They even replaced a ruined stud for free when I brought it to them! Great people...great service...great prices.

I have been doing business with Robert for 18 years, I Love Modern Day Hot Rods, but hate the wimpy sound they make. Robert makes these car COME ALIVE. His ability to bend the perfect pipe, make complete welds, and precision placement of the chrome exhaust tip are second to none. Heres a sample of the cars he has done for me: 1998 Mustang GT, 2010 Challenger RT, 2013 Challenger RT, 2007 Chevy Corvette, 2005 GMC Sierra, 1998 Doge RAM, 1969 Chevy Corvette with Chrome Hooker headers and Chrome side-pipes. These guys fit me in the same day I called. They welded up a bracket and attached my downpipe to my subframe, all in an hour.

I went in here looking for a different business. The guy was completely rude. He did nothing but talk very rudely about the business and how he was a lot better than them. I will never do business with someone who talks so rude about a fellow business. I did not use them and I do not suggest doing business with them. Also, just to let you know... The other business did an amazing job. For cheaper as well.

I was in here with a friend. We were looking for the local scooter shop. The guy was very rude about the other business. Claiming all the work was horrible and he could do it better.He owns a welding/exhaust shop and doesnt specialize in bike so we told him we were looking for the scooter shop. He would not tell us or help us and it was only a few doors down.I do not suggest using this guy. He is very rude and does not deserve to own a business.We did find the scooter shop and they were excellent people!

I couldn’t be happier with R&J Welding. I’ve had them address my exhaust issues for a few years now and I’ll never go anywhere else.I was told by someone else that I needed the exhaust replaced from the CAT back. I called and got a price over the phone that was hundreds less than everywhere else I called.I dropped off my car and within 15 minutes they called me and said whoever told me I needed it replaced from the CAT back was mistaken and that the fix would actually cost me less than half of their original quote.When does that ever happen!!!???

Quoted a price for new exhaust for my son. We opted for the muffler to be cut off and not install glasspack at this time with tip because they recommended it. Well the noise is way louder in car now and We opted to install glasspack but they are charging more even though they said it would be same price if we opted to do later. Well now I need to add it but the extra price is double than what it would have been. Be sure to get any offers or promises in writing.

Went in for a crack in the EVAP canister. Came here because my guy said he might break the frame getting to it and they couldnt weld there but r&j could. Spent over 600 dollars after waiting over 2 months because the part was on national backorder (California emissions). Fixed nothing. Went back, told me to get a new gas cap from the dealership. Fixed nothing. Finally, I gave up. Still have the problem and this is year two so I had to get the waiver again which means paying for two two inspections knowing it would fail, then a third (albeit $5) after getting the waiver from the dmv (which is such a fun place to go). Twice. I always felt like I was a bother when I was there, like they didnt care about customers. I feel bad for what happened internally with them while I was there but, man, never again.
