Their own take on some classic bakery fare. I tried a variety, nothing was bad. Some delicious. The location is akin to a food truck/trailer. You dont go in, u you order off of a menu and then your selections are boxed and brought to a window. The tiramisu was a different take on traditional. It was good, but I gotta say I prefer mine the old fashioned way. Dry by design isnt what I expected.

I went here after reading the reviews, prepared for good food, but being skeptical of the degree to which people are raving.My fiance is crying into her creampuff over how good it is.The tiramisu is of a quality that elicited an unintentional moan.Compared to the rest of their food, the coffee is pretty terrible. Compared to the real world, their coffee is good.Their portions are large. Their prices are modest. I would pay twice what they ask for the bread roll without batting an eye. Really neat location and mostly polite staff. I got the Pepperoni Stuffed Bread Roll, and its honestly one of the best things Ive ever eaten. I can only imagine what they would be like fresh and hot, I had to drive home before I ate mine. Their cannolis are good too. Definitely worth a visit!!!

The pastries are amazing!!! As a NY transplant, I can definitely attest that these are authentic NY Italian bakery cannolis and cream puffs! I cant wait to try some other desserts, although self-control is essential. If I could, I would try one of each 😁! Worth the drive for sure!!!Get there early. I arrived late Sunday afternoon and most of the items were gone, but I can absolutely understand why. The young woman who waited on us even gave us an extra cream puff for free! Cream puff at a perfect level of sweetness, creamy and savory on the inside, while crispy and crunchy in the outside. Highly recommend!

Sooooooo delicious! The stuffed rolls were perfectly seasoned and generous enough to share. It was hard not to try all of the pastries. My favorite was hands-down the chocolate hazelnut puffs. Smaller versions of the cream puff with the lightest, melt-in-your-mouth hazelnut pastry cream and a drizzle of dark chocolate. Perfection!

I ordered a mini hazelnut cream puff and it was heavenly! It is one of the best things I’ve tasted!! They also gave me a free half moon with my purchase! Excellent customer service and pastries!

Ive visited once so far, based on my initial inpressions this place is fairly good. I tried the Cream Puff (whipped cream), Eclair (chocolate hazelnut cream), and Cheesecake. They were all really good, but all VERY heavy and VERY sweet, better suited for small after-dinner dessert portions rather than a breakfast. The price was also a bit high. I think I will still come back to try other items though.

Tried as much as we could when we came and still went back for more. Friendly, helpful, warm, and smiling staff greeted us. Everyone was great! Love the window that faces everyone showing off all the tasty treats available.Cannot wait to go back, but much earlier next time. When it gets late they do run out of stuff.On our visit an accident apparently happened in the kitchen making their cannoli cream. Making it lemon rather than orange and it was delicious 👌 do it again on purpose! Everything we had we delicious 😋Also!They were very clean and made a point of making sure staff was as well, changing gloves frequently and disinfecting cards for each transaction. Insanely amazing desserts!! My mom said they were the best cannolis in 50 years that she has had! Everything is freshly made and the man was so nice he even threw in a couple cookies for free!!

My husband and I are from NYC, Utica Bakery has been a slice of home for us. Hands down the best tiramisu I have ever had! We love visiting the shop, the crew is so friendly and treat you like family. We enjoy visiting and picking up some desserts for the weekend.

I started visiting a few years ago to get my fix of sfogliatelle. I grew up with lots of amazing Italian bakeries in NYC but had never experienced a fresh warm out of the oven sfogliatelle like on my first visit to Utica bakery. I was instantly hooked. I can’t recommend them enough. Everything is always better then I expect it will be. The lemon bars and stuffed breads are my new obsession. And don’t even get me started on cookies and croissants….

I am visiting Apex from western NY and this was a great find. The authenticity of the Italian desserts is wonderful. Dont tell my mom that the meatball cookies are as good as hers are.

I went this magical fairyland of a food truck. It is located in a corner of a forest. They have baked goods, pastry’s, bread, dough balls, etc. the bread was decent and had tasty herbs on the top. The lobster tail was DELICIOUS and was well worth the cost. You get to have the pastry’s with your choice of filling. They sell dough balls so you may make stuff at home. They rotate the pastry’s / savory choices daily. Very awesome place and have to visit if you can!!

After moving to Apex, I did a lot of searching for the perfect bakery and I’ve finally found it in Utica Bakery! On my first visit, I got a few of my favorite pastry’s to really test them out and I’m pleased to say that they all exceeded my expectations! The cannoli, cream puff (pastry cream filling) and lobster tail (whipped cream filling) were all delicious. Even my very picky husband loved them- Utica is picky husband approved! 😉 With my most recent visit today, unfortunately I had to stop by a little late and they were sold out of every pastry, but they did have one left- A little chocolate eclair with whipped cream filling, and it was truly phenomenal. I didn’t think an eclair could ever be that good! I couldn’t recommend this bakery enough, and I can’t wait to bring my friends and family here! Not to mention the staff is so polite! This will continue to be a weekend trip for me.

I forgot how much I missed tomato pie, good Italian pastries until my sister told me about Utica Bakery in Apex. On a chance, we stopped one day just to see what they had. We were very fortunate they had some tomato pie and pastries available.Wow !! Vinny did not disappoint... My wife and I are tomato pie for dinner and pasticcioti ( we called chocolate pusties as kids), cannoli for dessert. They were every bit as good as I remember growing up in Utica in the 70’s and 80’s.Definitely a treat you shouldn’t miss. We will be back.... again and again and again.

The real deal for Italian pastries like lobster tails, cannoli, cookies. Lobster tails were stuffed with pastry cream and had a crispy shell. Cannollis with pistachio shavings on the ends. Wow!17 years in NC from NY and Utica is tops! Check it out, you will not be sorry. Great job, Utica Bakery!

This was my first visit and Ill be back! It was the end of the day so they were out of several items but I was able to get an almond cookie, chocolate crinkles & mini lobster tail pastries, which were new to me. The latter could be filled with the filling of your choice. They had a delightful crunchy exterior which contrasted nicely with the smooth filling. This bakery is in a food truck at this location.

The bakery items are phenomenal! Like the best you will ever have. Serious. But here is the thing, they are not open all the time and when they are the line is 30 to 40 mins long. Kind of ruins the experience when you have to wait in an outdoor line for almost an hour.

This bakery is legit!!! I visited for the first time on Christmas Eve. The line was loooooong and I waited just over an hour. I almost left because I had to be elsewhere when the person behind me ensured me Utica was worth the wait. Oh my god I’m so happy I waited! The cream puff- was pure heaven. The cookies out of this world. My son is addicted to the tomato pie(something I’ve never had before) and their twist on tiramisu is UNGODLY!!! If you haven’t tried them yet you’re seriously missing out on a sublime experience. I can’t wait to go back and try some other things. Everything looks so yummy it’s hard to decide.

Especially the cannolis which are filled to order with some of the best cannoli cream Ive ever tasted. The staff is always very pleasant too which is the cherry on top of this very legit bakery.

We live in Durham 30 minutes away and this was totally worth the drive. We tried the lobster claw, eclair, cannolis, bread, and pizza dough. Everything was AMAZING!!! They really take pride in their food and the quality and it shows. Next time we go (which will be soon) we are going to try to cookies and cheesecake. Overall, I was extremely impressed and will definitely make this bakery a staple while we live in the area. Highly recommend!

Really good little bakery with a nice selection of assorted pastries. Chocolate, hazelnut puff is really good. Little chocolate and blueberry pies are nice kids size servings also. A couple of unique filled pastries that I couldnt even spell or pronounce but sort of a semi sweet cheese filling also. Cake size box full of pastries for under $20. Definitely worth the stop.

Wonderful pastries. This was our first time here (accidentally saw the sign on Williams/Rt 55 - so glad we did). Got a few pastries and cookies, all were amazing. High calorie, but worth it as a treat. We look forward to trying their bread and pizza. Suggestion: maybe some crunchy biscotti, less sweet than your cookies? As an Italian, we tend to like things a bit less sweet, to go with our strong coffee.

I am so excited to find a bakery with authentic pastries from Utica. Stopped in today for my first time and had a hard time not buying every pastry they had to offer! When I got a chance to try a cookie, I was brought back to my childhood. Cant wait to try their fresh breads and tomato pie! I only wish youll eventually open in a bigger location. I ordered a lobster tail pastry filled with pastry cream, and was truly blown away!! It wasn’t overly sweet and the pastry was flaky and crisp. Absolutely delicious, and the price was only $4 or $5 (my wife ordered a different item, and the two items totaled $8). I will be back to sample all of their delicious food!

We had a cream puff with real whip cream! There were other choices to pick from to fill the cream puff. I have to say this was the BEST cream puff I’ve ever had! I wish I lived closer to enjoy this treat more often!!

Very impressed with the quality and attention to detail. I grew up in Staten Island and Brooklyn NYC, and this type of bakery was a staple in Italian American culture. These dear folks are doing it right with no compromise. I have not had Italian Pastries any better in the Triangle area since moving in early 95. My daughter and I drove from Granite Falls to Apex,NC, 3hr trip to buy pastries. It was well worth the trip. We spent over $130. Came back with 6 boxes of goodies. Half moons, cannolis, pusties, tomato pies and eclairs. Plus what we ate there. LolBut if your from the UticanNY area this is a must trip. Just like home. Oh the Italian bread is worth the trip. The Sfogliatelle was amazing, I would have taken a picture but it was half gone before I left the parking lot. I only wish I had visited earlier in the day as they were out of a few things when I visited so late in the day, which makes sense if everything is as delicious as the pastries I had. Everything is made fresh daily and the guys running the bakery are so friendly. I cant wait to visit again and try some of their other items.

Im originally from Utica, New York and have lived in NC for about 16 years... and my only complaint about the area was I couldnt find the goodies I grew up with... and Utica Bakery has solved that problem! Magnificent pastries and killer tomato pie! Im getting hungry just typing about it.

Fun bakery truck 🚚 parked near a strip mall. They have an wide selection of perfectly crafted pastries. But they go quickly. Lots of relocated yankees lining up for their fix. The staff were really nice.

Great pastries just like from Upstate NY! I grew up in Utica, NY and now live in Apex and just visited Utica Bakery. Even though theyre just starting and getting everything set up, the pastries we got were delicious and I had a great time talking with the owner about Utica. If youve never had authentic Italian and Polish pastries before you really need to go. Theres no other bakery like it in the entire Apex-Cary-Raleigh area.

Utica Bakery has the most delicious Italian pastries Ive ever had. I am fortunate they are so close to me, as I am able to visit them a few times a week when they are open on Friday - Sunday. They always carry their stand-bys: Lobster Tails (which your choice of filling, piped in fresh when you order), Cream Puffs (also filled when you order), cookies, bread, quiche. They also offer new treats here and there - for example a Blueberry Pusty (hand-pie), breads with greens (something popular in Utica). The best part is chatting with Phil and his crew while waiting for your order. They are super nice and genuinely interested in whats going on with you, they feel like family.

Easy to pass right by, its in the house right next to 540. Everything weve gotten from here has been amazing. Definitely worth a visit.

First time visit to their current mobile unit store. They’re extremely friendly. We bought a bunch of different baked goods- Cannoli, eclairs, cheesecake, Italian bread, cookies, Sfogliatella etc. we enjoyed that their baked goods are very fresh and not so sweet as well. They’re very rich in flavor though! Definitely will come back again!
