Great discovery! This was my first visit and I love finding places with a variety of teas and coffees that is not just an overwhelming combination of flavors but well thought drinks for their costumers. The place also features miscellaneous items and crafts from local artists , coffees teas and spices to take home, beautiful decor and more! I love the environment this place sets with its windows displaying the different mugs, there is also out door sitting and a gender neutral bathroom.

Day date with hubby involved the need for cinnamon rolls and a frappuccino. .. resulting in us ending up here.This was a lovely little place and our tastebuds were satisfied. This was an awesome space that allowed for conversation and limited distractions around us. We look forward to returning when we visit the area again.

Ive been visiting the one and only original Common Grounds Coffee shop for over a decade. Thats why I was surprised to find a few copycat shops using the same name have popped up inside three area churches! Shame on them for using the name of this beloved and well established coffee shop.Id suggest spending your hard earned coffee money at the real Common Grounds rather than at those fake ones inside the churches. Besides, as a non-profit, why is a church operating coffee shops inside them? BTW, Im a Believer and ask that question based on a recent reading of the Book of Acts. Perhaps they should read it as well.Anyway, I love the coffee at the REAL Common Grounds, and their Monster Cookies as well. And the owner, Mark, is a classic great guy, who treats all of his customers with care and respect. His staff, especially those who serve me weekday mornings, are great as well. Plus, the decor is so inviting and the ambiance off the charts.So grab a large mocha with dark chocolate and rasberry, and relax a spell. Give it a try this weekend!

I tried Common Grounds Coffee House & Desserts today for the first time. This is by far the best coffee I have ever had! I got the white chocolate frappe and a common roll. The frappe was the perfect balance of sweetness and coffee. I love they put expresso in the frappe. The cinnamon roll was delicious. This is my new favorite place to get coffee. I highly recommend to try this place.

A beautiful blend of whole milk foams graces the top of the silky smooth espresso like a high altitude coating of fresh snow on the Rocky Mountains.The staff are nice and greet you with a perfect smile.You are greeted with a large selection of bakery options to fill your gullet.Come here and be amazed by the deliciousness provided.

Red Velvet cheesecake is delicious! My friend & I bought each other mugs too (big selection in sizes & designs). All around cozy atmosphere and nice location in town.

This coffee shop has creamy, sweet ice cream and amazing coffee! It’s conveniently located facing the street, with the sun streaming in. The coffee is on the more expensive side, but the massive selection of goodies makes up for it. I will say that it is not always sensory friendly. There are many loud noises, people, flashy objects/decorations, etc. It was overstimulating to enter the store for the first time, and I had to take a minute to get my bearings. Once you adjust, order, and plug in earbuds though, it isn’t bad. The noise definitely dies down after 1 PM. The best ice cream, in my humble opinion, is the Orange Creamsicle, pictured below. Edit: I ran out of money and had wanted to get a frozen apple cider, later in the day, they brought me one for free!

These guys open up 30 minutes early for my F3 workout group on Tuesday mornings. They deserve 5 stars just for that, but their coffee is fantastic, and their selection of gourmet cheesecakes are the best I’ve ever tasted!

The service was great, the atmosphere was cozy, but the cold brew I bought tasted like a cup of water with a splash of coffee in it. Went for my birthday, because Ive heard amazing things about this place, but I ended up watering my plants with the cold brew because it honestly had zero coffee flavor. Bummed out sums up my visit. They have great gift ideas here, but I dont know if Ill go back for actual coffee.

Nice cafe in apex. The ham and cheese croissant was delicious. The deserts looked extra good. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie. It was very good. Service was quick and friendly. The decor was quirky and had a lot of mugs and pictures for sale. It was busy. A mix of friends chatting, people having meetings, people.workng on computers. Super clean bathroom. I would come again.

My review was deleted. here is the original - usually like this place but i just had the strangest encounter with the two people working. the girl kept laughing as if she was high as a kite and when i said i didn’t hear him (the barista) because i drowned everyone out while browsing the mugs, he says “oh wow i’m gonna drown you.” very unprofessional and disappointing.

Coffee was really good. The ambiance of this place makes you feel welcome and service was really nice. We bought Oak City coffee grounds from here and we really like it, thanks to the Barista for recommending it. They have cute coffee mugs and other items to pick up buy as well. Definitely worth it to stop by and get a drink.

A great spot for great coffee, a pastry or snack, and some wifi on Main Street in Apex! The service is warm, friendly, and fast while the atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. Feel free to browse the dozens of mugs and coffee cups they have for sale, as well as the local art. Lastly, and this is important, the wifi is nice and fast!

Great atmosphere and staff. Fresh delicious desserts for adults and children. Good selection of coffee. Cmon Mark try to carry a honey processed or natural processed bean from time to time and Ill find a way to give you 6 stars. Can I get a pour over?

If youre looking for a spectacular local coffee shop, you cant get much better than Common Grounds. Mark, Josh, Liz, Lillian, Anna, Sonia and Molly (and Im sure anyone else I havent yet met or am somehow forgetting) all go above and beyond every chance they get; if youve been in here more than once, chances are they know your name and your order and are already making it when you walk through the door. Theres no substitute for these guys anywhere in the triangle.

I really wanted to try the iced lavender latte, so I called a few places in Cary, but no one seemed to have it. Finally, the barista at Coffee Grounds said she could make it since she had the lavender syrup, though it was not a typical menu item! I drove there and got it! The customer service was great. Thank you for going above and beyond to make the drink for me! Ya’ll are awesome at what you do.For me personally, the lavender was too flowery/bitter, but I would have never known if I did not try it! In the future, I will stick to the iced coconut caramel latte.

Common Grounds Coffee House is the perfect place to grab a quick coffee or to meet and sit with friends while drinking tea. My daughter loves their kids temp hot chocolate. My husbands is not a coffee or tea person but he loves their Hot Chocolate also. I love it all! The fruit smoothies are great on hot summer days. The coffee and lattes are awesome all year round. The employees have always been friendly to me. You will not be disappointed.

Very friendly staff, good atmosphere, and nice place in general with lots of options (a few gluten free options). Ultimately, Im coming here for the coffee. I give it a 2-star rating because the coffee is not good. It tastes watery and almost stale, and if youre looking for good tasting coffee or quality syrups (they use monin brand syrups) this isnt the place to go.

Their cheesecake is the best. Better than cheesecake factory. Fresh and good flavor selection. They also have excellent coffee. I always stop here when I go to Raleigh.

One of my favorites! Ill often find excuses to go to downtown Apex just so I could visit this coffee shop. Its really lovely and relaxing to bring the kids here to get a pastry and have a cup of coffee. They have a great selection of treats and drinks, all of which have always hit the spot.

I always like to support local and we needed a meeting spot that was convenient last minute for a change in venue. Worked perfect for me to meet with clients! While I am not a coffee drinker I cant comment on that but did enjoy their tea selection. Cool building too, public parking in the rear or if you are lucky some street parking. Right in the heart of downtown Apex. Had a quaint feel but also had a buzz so to speak with people. Would go back again!

My daughter very much enjoyed her chocolate banana coffee drink from Common Grounds. So often, there is not enough room to sit in a coffee house, but there were plenty of tables to sit in the side room. We all had a great time there!

The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because they cant wash mugs (due to brick dust in the building) so all of their cups are paper! Not very sustainable. BUT BRING IN YOUR OWN RESUSABLE MUG! OR BUY ON THERE!That being said, I had a wonderful oat milk cappuccino. Very pleasant staff that explained the lack of mugs to use.Will come back again if I pass through! This time with my own mug. :)

Today we had the brewed coffee of the day, which was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The barista was ideal, great smile, inviting personality, but not over the top and he remembers the regulars drinks of choice. The shop is clean and neat.

I love this place! Its sort of where you meet new friends all the while enjoying the best coffee drinks anywhere served by friendly and engaging staff.

This was my first time here and I told the fellow at the counter I wanted something, but coffee and asked what he recommended. He gave me a sample of cold brew. It was delicious so I got that and a vegan puff which was also delicious (and filling)

I enjoy working at this coffee shop when I am in town. Friendly staff, laid back vibe, and great drinks. There usually is no line, but I will say there is always a decent amount of foot traffic coming through. Grab a drink to sit with friends, work, take back home, or carry while shopping!

One of the few coffee shops I have found that can actually brew a good mocha. No settling at the bottom, good coffee, well brewed and good down to the last drop! Cute little space as well!

I was just visiting the area and stopped in for a bite to eat and a coffee. They have a wonderful selection of coffees, smoothies, and treats. I was hoping to find something slightly healthier to eat so I didn’t end up buying any food. I got an iced coffee with almond milk and I was not disappointed. Very nice atmosphere as well.

I shall drop this into my coffee chest...To start with, they have a definitely thought through the decor. The walls are filled with cups which are up for sale. I would refrain from saying anymore and let you experience it. Speciality Mocha was good and tasted close to the filter coffee I have had in India. I enjoyed it. My wife wanted a tea instead. They had a separate menu for teas which gave me a higher expectation for the tea that we were going to order. The tea turned out to be Mighty leaf tea :-|.We couldnt help but delve into their desserts. We ordered Death by Chocolate Cheesecake. It was delicious. Very rich and creamy.Good coffee and desserts and nice ambience for book worms and coffee lovers.

A popular coffee spot on the downtown strip. Cute mugs line the wall. The coffee was good and a lot of selection as well as multiple milk alternatives. Much appreciated!

1st cup of coffee was burnt and of course tasted bad. They replaced it and that one was so so. Kind of weak.Picked up a scone from Common Grounds in Apex North Carolina. It was a blueberry scone. I was Disgusted to find Wooden slivers inside this scone. When I showed the clerk behind the coffee bar, His comment was “What do you want me to do about it?”Wow.Even if the wooden slivers we’re not in the scone, it was a crummy scone Which tasted more like bland baked cake batter than scone batter.The cranberry scone I ordered before with them Tasted stale and it had only one cranberry in it. Amazing and skimpy Cheap baker.I asked the sales person what bakery the scones came from. And he said from the Manhattan Bakery nearby.

Going to the big name coffee shops started to feel like a trip to the post office: I found myself just wanting to get in, get what I needed and get out. No excitement or energy. Gratefully, thats not the case with Common Grounds – my favorite new coffee house. This coffee-lovers gem, in the heart of Apex, does an outstanding job of blending old school with new cool. Its a charming spot with a lot of character, awesome coffee and friendly, smiling faces. Be careful of the scrumptious peanut butter bars – theyre addictive!

Best coffee place in Apex and top 5 in the RTP area!

It can get really crowded at peak times, but I think that speaks to how good the coffee is. I havent tried any, but they have a selection of delicious looking cakes, one of which is gluten free. The only thing I wish they had were some options for lunch or more substantial snacking, like maybe be a couple different sandwiches. I have tried the ham croissant, but its not the most tasty. Again, their coffee is great.

Great coffee and atmosphere. The staff is friendly and courteous. The drinks and pastries selection is wide and freshly made from a local bakery. It can get busy and loud at times when it’s cold outside. Parking is a breeze in this area and there are many shops close by to make your trip here even more worthwhile.
