Larisa did such an amazing job with my wedding gown! It only took one appointment for measurements and one appointment to pick up. The dress fit PERFECTLY!! My mother sent her a patch of her wedding dress with my name embroidered on it and Larisa sewed it to the inside of my dress with no issues. My bustle was amazing as well! I would recommend her to ANYONE needing any sort of alteration!! 10/10 recommend!!

Larisa did an excellent job on altering my wedding dress. I told her I didnt want a traditional bustle that was noticeable (bottom half of dress is large, multiple tiered tule). She created a discreet bustle that was very straight forward to pin up and made the dress look incredible. The dress fit like a glove in all the right areas. Two buttons fell off my over jacket on the way out of the store and she quickly sewed them on and offered me a free pair of earrings. The shop is quiet and cozy, as its just her working there, and feels very intimate. The alterations cost about a third of my dress price so be prepared for a larger bill but Im telling you, you get what you pay for. She has decades of experience and knows what shes doing! So happy with my experience.As a side note- I was originally supposed to have my wedding last May during the shut down and had to get my dress shipped in from out of state last minute and she was the only tailor I could find that would do alterations on short notice. Shes willing to work through the night for her clients and that shows her true dedication to her craft.

Larisa did an amazing job altering my wedding dress! I was nervous to have to add in an extra piece of lace to the front of my dress- but Larisa added the piece and made it look seamless. You cant even tell the extra lace was added in! I love how my wedding dress fits. I definitely recommend Larisa.

I came to Larisa Style on a last ditch effort to find my dream dress while staying within my budget. When I arrived at the shop, I told Larisa my budget and she was able to pick out 15-20 dresses for me to try on. I tried on each and she gave honest feedback. When I tried on my wedding dress, I cried and felt like a beauty queen. Larisa was so helpful through the whole process and gave me her devoted attention. It took about 2 months or so to get my dress back and about 2 months for the alterations (I only had to get fitted once!). My dress is absolutely gorgeous, within my budget, and it was such a wonderful experience to be the only bride in the store. If you are looking for a place to buy a wedding dress, not wanting to go to a chain store, and stay within budget, this is the one for you!

I had a great experience with Larisa! I was a bit nervous because I brought dress in about 2 months before my wedding and couldnt imagine getting everything done in time. She had my dress PERFECTLY altered after one fitting. It felt like it was made for me. Larisa is truly talented and took the time to get all the little details just right. I had my dress altered for my wedding here. While it was short notice (about a month) the price she gave was jaw dropping and actually cost more then purchasing the designer dress. When I went for the fitting I had several requests and without asking or consulting she did something different than requested, while not a big deal I did not like how the changes made the dress look. Furthermore despite her reassuring that she was the best and it would fit perfectly the dress did NOT fit well and was not fitted nor flattering. She was a nice lady but I feel very disappointed and unfortunately not worth the small fortune she charges. I almost never leave reviews but I dont want another bride to be disappointed like I was.

She recommended a beautiful way to do my bustle so it would hold up the entire time of the wedding since I have a heavy dress..I am a bride planning a wedding during Covid, so my wedding date has been postponed multiple times, and Larisa has been extremely flexible and understanding. I am not getting married until a year from now, but I will come back to see her again a month before.She also added jewels to my dress for a little sparkle, and scheduled a mid-point check in so I could approve of the design before going forward with the rest of the dress which was great.Overall, I would recommend Larisa with your dress!

Larisa did an amazing job altering my dress. She took it in perfectly at just the right places to create a dress that was custom fit beyond my imagination. The hem barely needed to come up and I was somewhat nervous that hem work would make it look too short, but she executed with such precision that the subtle change met my desired length exactly. I was also unsure about what type of bustle would most compliment the dress. We explored a couple of options and ultimately chose the French bustle style that she had originally recommended. It was so well done and allowed the dress to look and feel beautiful whether bustled or not. I am so grateful to have had such a talented seamstress to work with. We had a great time together throughout our appointments and I appreciate her attention to detail while keeping our appointments comfortable and fun. Larisa did a fantastic job altering my wedding dress! She is very sweet, timely, and does incredible work. She not only fixed the hem of my dress to my height (which was work in and of itself due to the many layers my dress has), she also had to redo my lace sleeves because they were too tight. She found a lace that matched perfectly, and hand sewn back together the sleeves. I would definitely trust her with any style of wedding dress!

I found Larissa through Google. She was amazing. I came in three times total.My first visit was about 45min long. I tried on my dress with shoes. We talked about what I wanted and options. My timeline is very long so timing wasn’t really a factor for me, as my body hasn’t changed in 10years. So I dropped my dress off at the initial fitting in mid feb and came for second fitting mid May as scheduled. There were a few minor things we changed at the second fitting, and I picked up a week later.She is professional, reasonably priced, can do custom work as well. I can not say enough about how amazing Larisa is and how happy I am that I trusted her with alterations for my McDuggal gown!! My dress is embellished in beads and sequins from top to bottom. It was far too long for me and needed hemmed, and a bustle needed for my train to make it easier to walk in. It also has a plunging neckline that was far too much for the conservative wedding I’m going to, so I asked Larisa if she could do something for it to make it less reveling, but still be able to have it as an option to open up in the future should I ware it again. Larissa HAND STITCHED the entire bottom of my dress to the perfect length, while keeping all the details of the scallop pattern and embellishment. She gave me the cutest bustle on the back to help with the train, and she put in a hidden clip to perfectly close up the front that I can easily open in the future. Larisa went above and beyond my expectations of everything I wanted and my dress is absolutely perfect. Other alteration shops didn’t even want to touch my dress because of the beading alone. Larisa’s expert experience in alterations clearly shows in the amazing job she has done on my gown and I appreciate her so much for it. She is a lovely lady and has a beautiful shop as well. I really wish I had known of her when I got married!I will always go to her in the future and will recommend her any chance I get. You will NOT regret it. Thank you so so so much Larisa!

I am so so SO happy with Larisa! She is the sweetest woman and she did an amazing job on both of my wedding dresses and made an athletic tom-boy look like a princess with a figure! She did wonderfully with the tricky fabric and made it look like it was made just for me. She makes you feel so special during fittings. :) The only reason I cannot give her 5 stars is because she asks for full payment before alterations are done which made me uneasy. Otherwise my experience with her was fabulous!

Larisa is absolutely amazing!I had my wedding dress altered elsewhere, and the other tailor had made a mistake that made the dress truly unwearable. After many tears, I called the bridal shop where I originally bought the dress, and they told me, if any anyone can fix it, its Larisa. Man, were they right! When I came out of the dressing room to show her the dress, she sighed, gave me a big hug, and told me shed do what she could. Two weeks later, she handed my dress back to me, and it was as good as new! Shed managed to take the problematic boning out and stitch the lace back together in such a way that the seams were invisible. Throughout the process, she was so warm and communicative. Especially for tricky jobs, I cant recommend her highly enough.

I purchased a Maggie Sottero sample dress that not only needed to be altered for fit, but also needed extensive repairs. The dress has an illusion back and the delicate tulle was torn in multiple places. Larisa made the dress look like new! I was amazed at her ability to match the lace so perfectly. The fit is also perfect and I felt Larisa only recommended alterations that were truly needed. I would highly recommend her service to others!

I recently purchased my wedding gown here. Larisa does not have a huge selection, but she has a beautiful variety and I was able to find a gown immediately. I purchased my gown for about $1,500 and she did all alterations for me. The alterations were more costly than I expected but I feel that it was worth it! I picked the dress up today and it fit me like a glove! I have read reviews about others not being happy with their service, and I cannot imagine this. Larisa was very kind and helpful. She listened to my concerns and even gave me a lovely pair of earrings to match my gown and custom belt. Great experience, great gown options, timely service and talent. I am also happy to say I supported a local shop rather than a one-size-fits-all experience such as the one I had at Davids Bridal prior to visiting Larisa.

After hopping from shop to shop, I successfully found my wedding dress at Larisas for around $500. Two years later, my sister found hers at Larisas too. Its not a huge selection, but it is quality dresses and reasonable prices. The individualized experience and quiet environment were also very pleasant after a few Davids Bridal adventures. She even cried with us when we found the dress. I was able to buy my dress from her stock with no alterations other than a bustle, but it is true that Larisa does charge more for alterations than perhaps you could be quoted elsewhere. However, Larisa is an experienced seamstress, which can definitely be worth the extra cost.

Larisa is an expert at her craft. I went to 4 huge bridal stores and hated everything I tried on even though they have huge inventory. Larisa doesnt have a ton of dresses but the ones she does have are very in style and at a great price and quality.My mom had Larisa make her a custom dress as well and it came out perfectly.My only recommendation is to make sure that you dont get a dress that is too big. I think we ordered mine a size bigger to make sure that it would fit and it was so big that we had to do about $500 in alterations to make it fit correctly. Larisas alterations were perfect and I cant wait to wear my dress and custom veil that she created.

Larisa was the most amazing find during the wedding planning process. To understand where I am coming from.... I was dreading dress shopping. I didnt have a huge budget for the dress and so I couldnt afford to go to the high end bridal boutiques where all dresses start at $2K. I also have never had a positive Davids Bridal experience and didnt want to go there again. Larisa was willing to work within my budget and has a lot of different options-- from inexpensive bridal gowns to designer bridesmaid dresses in white & high quality fabric -- to incredible gowns well out of my budget, but maybe in yours :) She also designs and sews her own gowns... and is known as the BEST in the Triangle for gown alterations. Hint: If you get your dress at Davids, go to Larisa for your alterations... She knew immediately what would work for me and I only tried on 3 dresses. I could have tried on dozens more, but that wasnt what I wanted. The second dress I tried on was IT. The Third dress I tried on would have been it if I had gotten married in a different setting. The entire thing was so relaxing in her quiet boutique... and just a wonderful experience. She added some elements to make the dress more me by my request... and was so quick with working on it. We met up 2 more times... once after the alterations and then again a few days before the wedding. She was always so sweet, supportive, & excited for me... and happy to do what she could to make me feel beautiful. Larisa is kind of like a fairy godmother when it comes to wedding dresses. I loved the entire process... stayed within my budget -- and got to support a woman who is running her own local business. Definitely check out her store!

I went hear to have alterations for my wedding dress done. After giving me an estimate that was more than I could afford I thanked her for her time and admitted I would need to pursue other options. She then made a series of very condescending remarks, and told me she would still be here when someone messed up my dress. The shop is beautiful, but I will not be back after being treated so poorly.

DO NOT GO HERE! I went to have my wedding dress altered and after being insulted and brought to tears, I couldnt get out of my dress fast enough. She has terrible suggestions for bustles and OVERCHARGES for alterations. She wanted $860 for the straps to be taken up and 1 inch to be cut off the bottom. No bride should have to go through what I went through.

Very disappointed. Drove 25 minutes and they only open the door if you have an appointment!!! Seriously...!!!
