For a location that only serves ice cream, they are incredibly slow! When I did finally get to the window, the man working there opened the window and shoved the napkin and spoon out without saying one word and did the same when handing me my card back and ice cream! Just incredibly rude! The only redeeming thing about this visit was that the ice cream was good. But Ill drive further down the road next time to a different place just for faster and not rude service.

I only ordered a Pecan Pie Blizzard and the pecans tasted burned plus I didnt receive a receipt. Id like to know why its 58 cents more in Apache Junction than in Mesa? Next time Ill drive a little farther and go to one in Mesa, where its cheaper and not burned!

Was told when I pulled into the drive through that they close at 9:30 and I couldnt order. Still a little confused why I couldnt order at it was 9:26 but I just said ok and went to Culvers and got better ice cream anyways it was just a little bit more of a drive. Maybe next time I will skip trying dairy queen and go directly to Culvers.

I bought a small blizzard which was 4.89 and it tasted like it was oldest ice creme. It was gritty and tasted terrible. I ate 5 bites to try and convince myself that it was me. But I was wrong. I took it home and through it in the trash.

Fast and easy blast of the past. Love that it still has the same wonderful flavor of ice cream that I had as a child. Brings back those awesome summer memories.

Over the year a banana split that was a big desert that was great. But over the year less and less was served . Now I got one just about 2hours ago. And the whip cream had no taste and was lumpy. Worst banana split Ive ever had. Not going here ever again.

Theyve started really skimping on the blizzard fillings. Our past few visits weve had oreo blizzards with a single oreo cookie and poorly blended brownie bite blizzards with 3 or 4 brownie pieces in the whole cup. Its a bit of a bummer

Sour attitude just like the ice cream used to make my blizzard! When getting to the window to pay the lady (And I use that term loosely) was VERY unprofessional, kept rolling her eyes as she was taking orders and walking around with her chest out. If you dont want to work, stay home. If you choose this location I suggest you visit during the day... the night shifts customer service and quality of the finished products were less than lackluster. Not to mention the iceberg I had in my smoothie. Not very hard to blend/pulse a smoothie in a blender. If you want to chew your smoothie this is the place for you!

You get four stars for not serving food but thats not the employees fault. But I will say is that I was made the most delicious blizzard of my life it was also not melted not over nor under stuffed but perfect. Do not know who made it just know it was done with love. And I love you back

Havent been to this DQ location in 3 years even though so close to home, reading the reviews tells me it hasnt improved any. One star because I had too for review submit. Needs new owner. I now go to Power Road location. Dont waste your money or time at this pit!

Walked up to the door to see if the dining area was open..the door opened. No sign about the dining area being closed. Went back to my car to get my children out and they locked the door on me. Super rude. Decided to go to Sonic instead.. 👎

The medium cone is the same size as the small cone, but you get charged more. Thats a rip off. The other Dairy Queens Ive been to do not operate that way. Disappointed. 😏😖

I am editing my past review. If I’m judging by what I buy (the Dilly Bar) always the Dilly Bar because it’s my favorite by far I can raise the stars. Even though the bar is noticeably smaller than when I was a kid that’s not the store’s fault but corporate I’m sure. My thing is the store looks a little run down and not shiny and bright and appealing. I think a weekend of scrubbing it clean could do the trick. By the way other restaurants seem to have this same problem in that area. But I do love the ice cream that’s the important part

Very expensive but large portions. usually only the owner and one employee working there so sometimes you have to wait in line a little longer to place your order or to get your order made. The ice cream and Sundays are delicious I plan on going there again.

We were a little worried, this DQ is dated. Theres also a sign saying no hot food and outdoor light was broken lying on the ground. We figured no hot food was ok since we were there for ice cream. They also sell their mistakes blizzards. Our Dilly bars were good.

I dont understand why there is a hand written sign saying Sorry No Food. That has been up for weeks. Equipment failure? Health Code issues? Ill say this though. Who ever makes their blizzards is a rock star. Ive had several there and they are perfection. Hopefully they get their food issues sorted soon since Im sure its hitting their bottom line hard just being an ice cream stand.

I ordered a banana split, I requested if they can split the order in half on extra little container, cashier said they don’t do that at that location and if he do it he will charge me double amount just for the container almost $6 dollars for one almost $12 if charged me double , then manager/owner said they don’t have time for that , I said other locations are friendly and they never said nothing to me, manager told me to go the other locations and never come back O_o, then I guess realized and at the end he change me and extra dollar and gave me two containers half n half ice cream and extra banana. But his reaction not acceptable.

Eat here often! Very nice family owned business. Just ice cream not full menu but always good! Never had anything bad. Great price for portions. Great care in making ice cream cakes for any special day!

I’m genuinely surprised it hasn’t been shut down yet. It looks very outdated and sketchy on the outside, with what looks like a tarp covering one part of the building that lacks proper material. I was really craving ice cream and decided to give it a shot with my mom - she got a vanilla cone and I got an Oreo brownie ice cream. I’m not even kidding, it tasted like straight up chemicals. We were so caught off guard by how bad the vanilla tasted and requested a refund right away. Luckily they gave it to us, but not before letting us know that weren’t any other complaints from their previous customers, which I found hard to believe.I adore Dairy Queen but this location needs undergo a renovation and have inspectors go in to make sure everything is proper and clean. If not, then I definitely think it should be shut down.

Does not accept Apple Pay. I left my wallet behind and tried using Apple Pay. The girl at the window said “We don’t accept Apple Pay, I’ll go ahead and cancel the order. Have a good day.” I let her know I was going to look to see if I had cash and I even would have gone down the street and come back with my wallet had she not automatically assumed to “cancel the order.” She didn’t try to think of any other options or even ask if I wanted to come back later with payment. Very poorly handled and I’m very upset at how I was treated.

Dirty and the owner is horrible. I am currently dealing with corporate regarding this location. My family and I went here and the ice cream tasted like cleaning chemicals amd motor oil. When I called I spoke to the owner to request a refund. The owners response, I do not do refunds but I will remake your ice cream. Why on earth would I want cleaning chemicals/motor oil tasting ice cream? I do not trust this location and I hope corporate makes things right. If I could give zero stars, I would.

When we come to Apache Junction my wife and family always have to go to DQ they all love the different flavors of shakes, I myself am a plain person, a dipped vanilla cone for me, but thats just the way I roll☺, for icecream Dairy Queen is the place to go.

Every time Ive gotten an ice cream blizzard or banana split its watery like its been sitting out. They never flip the cup for the blizzard. Horrible treats! Never going back again.

Hate to give bad reviews, but you should know this DQ does NOT uphold the DQ standards. They water down the chocolate syrup, the strawberries on my banana split were very very gray very old! The pineapple sauce was missing( probably a good thing). My 5yr old said her cone tasted rotten and it was stale. We spent about $15 on 3 items NOTHING WAS EDIBLE. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Quality is nonexistent at this location! This has been our experience every time we have tried them over the last 6 yrs.....we go to the DQ on crismon now. Its about 6 miles further but its worth the it!....

Stopped in last night for a ice cream cake. The customer service was ok. But the store was extremely dirty. And I asked if they could write happy birthday on the cake. It looked like a 3yr old wrote on it.

This is the second time that we have tried to go there we thought since the place was still open that they were doing good,wrong, they only do one thing sell ice cream ordered a chocolate chocolate dip cone ,no pre Frozen ,set aside hard as a rock and it was vanilla , the wrong icecream. Will not return. Couldnt even make a simple fresh soft serve dip cone, a Dairy Queen staple.

I wanted to get a box of the dilly bars to bring and take home. I did get charge for the box. But ended up getting them in bags and most of them were smashed

Please update the hours on google. Google says they close at 10, they close at 9 according to the make shift sign at the drive thru. If I knew that I would of had time to go to the other location.

Most horrible place do not go here!!! Theres a reason why there ate NO cars in the parking lot ever! States right on the menu multiple places blizzards are served upside down or its free!! Not only was mine not I asked why it was already melted when he gave it to me ...he had no answer of course and no answer when I asked ..though it was supposed to be thick enough to turn upside down. Nope just walked to the back! Ice cream tastes discusting! Worst customer service ever as well just go anywhere else to get ice cream I swear u will not be satisfied here!!! We have been trying very hard to patronize some local establishments who hire local employees, while at the same time social distancing and doing face masks and gloves ourselves. So imagine my shock tonight when we went to the Window at DQ in Apache Junction, and the window server was not wearing a mask and obviously breathing right down in the car as we conducted business!! We have been to many restaurants for take out and window service in the last 7 weeks, and this is the only one where we have had this experience. It was extremely disappointing and we will never go back, even when all of this hopefully gets settled. And especially in Apache Junction where the population is so overwhelmingly senior citizens! Pathetic behavior.....

The 2 ladies I interacted with at the drive thru were friendly but I had previously looked at the reviews months ago and decided I would not even give this location a try due to the bad reviews. Since this was the closest location to me at the time, I thought ok I’ll try it. BIG MISTAKE. I ordered a small strawberry shake and can’t even finish it. It tastes spoiled! YUCK 🤮 Dairy Queen is too expensive to taste this bad! I want my money back! Needless to say, I will not be coming back!

Service was friendly, but place seems half open and kinda run down. Asked if they were remodeling or if they are under new management, got a smile and no answer. As expected ice cream was consistently the same as per dairy queen product but still wondering whats going on here. No hot food here currently and only 2 people working the store.

My Mom and I just went to this Dairy Queen in Apache Junction on the Trail and we used a buy one get one free coupon but today ( 5/4/2020) they said we could not use the coupon and they said they (the owner) told us in March that we could not use it and he did not show his face. They also werent using any PPE (no face masks, gloves or anything like that and from looking inside the store was FILTHY I will never go there again and you shouldnt either.

This owner has had great difficulty in finding good, dependable employees to help him at his store. The ice cream is very good but there isnt much of a selection of current treats; again, because of employees who are not well trained and willing to work. But it is still a good place to go for ice cream.

The ice cream was great, so perhaps thats all that matters. The building was very old, and I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom.Ona side note, I arrived later in the day and was hungry and was again disappointed because they only serve ice cream and no other food.

The blizzards cant be out upside down since they melt by the second. I love 3 miles from this location. By the time I got home the blizzard and banana split were soup. The only reason the milkshake and ice cream cone were okay was because they ate them quickly while driving. Dont waste your time just spend your money at Sonic or Jack In the box.

Havent had a worse experience in a dairy queen in my life until tonight. I ordered the triple truffle blizzard and once I got it the taste was awful. I ate two or three bites before i walked up to the counter to ask for something else. I used to be a waitress and I dont generally complain about anything and will just deal with it. Not tonight the ice cream tasted like plastic it was bad. When I asked the woman to exchange it for something different she out right told me no. That simply because I didnt like it they wouldnt do that. I told her to just throw it away and walked back to my table. May I add she was incredibly rude along with the other man behind the counter. My daughter went to get her ice cream and as she walked up the same woman who told me no told me was making further rude remarks about how I was rude for asking for something else. One thing I can promise is that my family wont ever be returning to this Dairy Queen. Ever.

My wife bought a 10 inch ice cream cake for my sons birthday last Friday 2/24. (purchased Thurs 2/23) I got halfway thru cutting and serving the cake when my son mentioned it seemed weird on his tongue so I tried a piece. It was completely freezer burnt all of the way through! We couldnt eat any of it. I saved the other half of the $30 cake so I could go back the next day. My wife spoke with a girl who claimed to be the assistant manager and explained what had happened. She told me complaints like that had to be dealt with by the general manager. She took down my contact info and said she would get a call Monday. It is now Wed. and I have still not heard back so I called once again this evening. I spoke with a man who said he was the owner. In a heavy broken accent I was told to just cut the frost bitten parts off and that we need to learn how to prepare it ahead of time. EXCUSE ME?!?! My wife a full time restaurant manager and I was a chef for a very long time. We both know how to properly handle food and guest complaints! This is ridiculous! We buy these for every holiday since my kids do not like cake. I know how to let them rest before serving and I know what freezer burnt product tastes like. Clearly the owner of this location needs a lesson on proper food storage, product rotation, use by dates, and customer service skills! DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION!

Constantly a great place to go for some little snacks and treats. Love going here on a hot day during the summer or a cold night during the winter for some desserts.! Place could use a little retouch but still the quality and service is what really matters.

This location is my favorite because their food is always good and their cashiers always friendly. In addition, they will be changing out their registers to be able to provide rewards program points - Yeah!

Pulling in to the parking lot you are greeted by a sign stating that they no longer serve food. Walking in you immediately find a fountain soda machine that is broken and only serves warm water. As I wait while the owner hastily makes my blizzard with the minimal possible ingredients, he tells at his staff to charge a drive up order more for their whipped cream.Steer clear for this location, dont promote bad behavior.

If I could give negative stars I would! I pulled up to the drive through at 9:53 pm and they close at at 10. Three other cars pulled up behind me while I sat at the box waiting for my order to be taken. At 9:59 the manager walks out and tells everybody to go home, and that theyre closed. What CRAP! I work in food service and I would NEVER turn away loyal customers no matter how close to closing time it was! Your sign says 10 so your open until 10 dang it! Im never going to this ghetto, nasty Dairy Queen ever again! I hope you go out of business, get shut down, or bought out by someone with some sort of business sense because you obviously have none! Went here today for a free veterans day blizzard & was informed they do not participate in that offer! Very disappointed that your business cannot take one day out of the year to thank a veteran with an ice cream treat.

Old Chinese guy ignored me when I asked for a different shake, even looked at me and kept on making it as Im knocking on the drive thru window trying to get his attention. When he was done I gave him $20 and asked for a different shake instead of the one he made. He said I cant make a different shake cause he already made one and then said I wasnt gonna get my $20 back and I needed to pull into a parking spot so he can call the cops. The place looks run down. I visited a week ago and the employees werent welcoming. I didnt order anything specifically. I bought from the mistakes pile which is suprisingly full. Why are there so many mistakes? My cup was fine but the other had mixed cheescake, m&ms , and an aftertaste of mayonnaise? I would come here for the discount ice creams and have fun discovering whats in the mix, but I do worry about how hygienic these mistakes are.

This place is not worth going to. Staff is rude. They mess up your order and then pretty much tell you that is how you get it and there are no refunds. I will be calling the corporate office about this place in the morning. I hope they pull the franchise name from you. You give the Dairy Queen brand a BAD NAME.

Both times Ive been to this DQ I have had problems. So I tried it again today I ordered a mixed berry blizzard with Reeses which was a $1 add-on and a peanut butter parfait with extra hot fudge which was a $2 add on. Theyre slightly busy I placed my order multiple people place orders behind me two people that ordered after I did got there stuff first so I said something to them they didnt even know where my ticket was they finally found it tell me they would make it in a few minutes told him I want my money back they said they would make it now so they proceeded to make it did not give me a lid for the parfait I had to ask for it I got back to my house realized all the was in the blizzard was raspberries no strawberries or blueberries and they did not put the Reeses in it so I proceeded back two DQ to make them fix it he tried to put berries and Reeses into my melted ice cream that I had brought back until I informed him that he was going to make me a new one and from that second on he didnt even look me in the face or say another word to me just made it set it on the counter pretty rude old man.

I live nearby and wont go back....usually a 20 minute wait in the drive through with 3 or 4 cars. Last nite no one bothered to come to the window and I had already been in line for 18 minutes....looked inside and 4 workers were just doing nothing....other than yakking to each other. I drove off after 4 minutes at the window with none of them paying attention. The windows look like they havent been cleaned for a year. They stopped selling regular food a few months ago which is fine since I dont eat that crap anyway but seriously how long does it take to make a parfait?

Funnel cake was rock hard. You look inside the window and it looks like a dump! I have never seen one look so horrible!

Went in to this dairy queen all excited to get ice cream only to be ignored. 3 employees and not a single one acknowledged us. My sister and I waited 10-15 minutes before finally just walking out. After reading all these reviews I guess I should be happy we were ignored. This dairy queen is awful.

Service with a smile! With a good majority of DQs all changing over to “treat only”, I’m sure a lot of employees are getting very frustrated with customers. This was not the case here, the gal that helped me was very friendly and helpful and actually carried on a conversation. Went inside and order at counter, very clean and very quiet.

I had a dairy queen e gift card on my phone. You put in the number manually like any other gift card. At the drive in they refused to honor it as all coupons should be printed out when I said it was a gift card they still refused it. As I had no cash I left and called corporate who said that should have never happened. The staff is untrained and rude rather than accommodating.

Worst Dairy Queen I have ever been in. The burger tasted like it was Microwaved, Not Charbroiled like it is supposed to. Service was slow and the interior was the worst I have ever seen in a Dairy Queen. Obviously the owner is interested in how much he/she makes rather then customer service. My wife said the bathroom was poor and no soap in the dispenser. If you want the world famous Dairy Queen food and service Do Not Go Here.
