I find this place so peaceful. The variety of books is so large and varied that one could get lost. I also like the coffee shop and the pastry selection is delightful.

In-depth selection of books, magazines, music. Fine childrens area (and activities), and a good coffee/ pastry area. Much more immersive experience than just buying online. and helps our community...

Great selection of books, collectibles, DVDs, and more! Unless an item is on sale, do not expect great prices. A Blu-ray that sells for $19.99 elsewhere is $39.99 here. Aside from this downside, if youre looking for obscure titles, they have a decent selection and can order if the title is unavailable in store. The prices can vary widely, and some are more reasonable than others. Unfortunately, they do not price match, so what you see is what you pay (but as a member you will save 10 percent). Despite these annoyances, it is a fun little trip to take if you want to escape and check out things you may not see at other stores.

08/21/21 The male cashier was very rude Didn’t even bother to offer me a bag when I was paying.. I bought like 6 books.. yet he saw me struggle to carry them.. lol

Everything you never knew you needed! Wasnt even looking for anything and I walked out with a DVD I have been looking for for 2 weeks and a new book in the series I love, Mercy Thompson. I had no idea she has written so many new ones! Always entertaining, clean, and not too crowded.

This store has changed but not for the better. The music section has shrunk to a shadow of its former self. The book sections are mostly arranged in U-shaped configurations, forcing you to circle around to where you came in. This makes it much harder to browse from section to section.The childrens and religious offerings have expanded while science and history have been reduced. Do we really need to see an Ayn Rand poster to know what happened here?After the effort to get here, they didnt have what I came for. We need better than this in our community.

My purse (that sometimes triggers sensors) went off and upon that an employee told me I needed to desensitize it which isn’t possible. nothing is in it. Then I was told I can’t shop here because when I leave it will go off ? I have to exit the building anyways. Never shopping here again.

So i edit my review because i found some wrong things in the book in the picture so for me as an ignorant in the human body i may take any info as the right ones but after checking other references i got sure these are wrong things also wrong pointings to the wrong muscles i thought its accurate for a study ! but i got the book i was looking for , nice staff and helpful. Only two copies of Grishams A Time for Mercy in the store and neither one where they should be. Staff, as always, did everything possible and successfully handed me the book to purchase. Always a pleasure visiting.

Great Place to stop by when your Door Dashing or GrubHub. You can hangout look at book till an order comes in. Also they have a bathroom.

As always this bookstore is amazing.

Busy, crowded, no social distancing enforced. If you order ahead for in store pick up you still have to stand in a 20 min line like all the other shoppers. That totally defeats the purpose of the order ahead pick up and does NOTHING to help with avoiding crowds during this pandemic. Every other store has a separate desk or kiosk that will accommodate in store pick ups and help reduce crowds in store. Even smaller businesses than this. Shame!

They have a lot of selections I wish they would get more Christian CD music and CD on the Bible

Beautifully set up from front to back! Did you know Barnes and Nobel had childrens games, craft sets, stuffed animals, and more? I didnt and I felt like I was back in time in a mini Toys R Us!

This place looks like it is going out of business. The childrens box set books are taped up, torn on the sides... the children section looks extremely disorganized and thrown together. I could not purchase any box set books because they all looked USED. I complained to a store clerk. Its the only store aside from bed bath and beyond, target and carters still standing. But if it continues like this? Gone by March.

Im an avid reader and love the fact that there are still physical locations for this chain of bookstores. However, I had to update my review from last year by going from 4 stars to 2 stars because of a verbally aggressive middle-aged Caucasian worker (Ive failed to get her name, so Im describing her) that Ive had the unfortunate experience of dealing with more than once and I really believe that this issue needs to be brought to customers and the stores managements attention. The 1st time, I encountered this woman, she shouted at me while I was walking to the aisle of books I was there to purchase. I hadnt even notice her rearranging an end cap behind me so she startled me when she frustratingly yelled at me some customer service jargon. Due to her aggressive attitude, I barely managed to let her know I knew my way around the store (since I had shopped here often enough) and proceeded to ignore her. The 2nd time was a couple weeks ago when I was purchasing books for my daughter. I had a list of books that I was there to buy but couldnt locate one of them since Im not really familiar with the kids book section. I reluctantly headed to the help desk where an elderly Caucasian couple had just been served and were kindly being sent off. So, I happily asked her if she could help me locate a book. Immediately, her demeanor changed, she looked at me with so much disdain and turned to another young associate and barked at her to help me instead ( I believe she also startled her because of the dazed look she had from her co-workers response). By the way, the young lady who helped me was so kind and helpful to me which is the kind of service I usually get here. By the time I got to the register, I was so shaken up by my 2nd encounter with the mean associate that I complained out loud to my husband about her attitude. The cashier identified her by pointing at and describing her to me and explainedm that she has the habit of taking out her anger towards difficult customers on other customers and coworkers! I dont believe that Barnes and Noble trains their employees to treat repeat paying customers this way. I do not know this woman and she doesnt know me either. So her animosity towards me is confusing to me. Anyways, her behavior shouldnt be excused. Im all for shopping locally but at this point Id rather drive to another store or exclusively shop online then deal with someone who causes me to shop under duress! Its really unfortunate because there are so many friendly and professional employees at this location but the fact that shes being allowed to behave this way towards others is so unprofessional and distasteful. So, buyer beware!

This store has never disappoints me. Went in to buy books for my 9 year old grandson. He loves to read chapter books and Barnes &Noble had a big variety of books for his age. I was doing my Xmas shopping and I was also able to pick up some drawing kits for him as well as some educational toys and games. My grandson loves to go to this store as much as I. We go there when we have free time and spend hours browsing books and having a drink at Starbucks. The staff has always been very kind and helpful by helping u look for specific books. Great place to hang out and be surrounded by so much knowledge at your fingertips.

Anything remotely off Democratic agenda put on bottom or lower shelf..Book stores should remain a bastion of unbiased placement of books..Offended and disappointed.Thought that would be a safe place to relax from politics ..Even sports is now stressful

The line can be long at times but moves briskly.Fourth Star: Is the product/service satisfactory? Yes. The selection is always great.Fifth star: Is the price acceptable? There are always deals and promotions available.

The have a great variety of books. They also sell toys. The prices were a little high, but its a nice store.

Great selection. They now carry tons of toys, the back has lots of games and action figures. A whole wall of pop vinyl if thats your thing. Definitely a good place to find some gifts. Barns & Noble is a great bookstore. You can get more than books there. They have educational games, puppets, a childrens area that is really nice and has a stage area for children to play act on or sit quietly and listen to a story be read to them. Or a different presentation. You can pick up a schedule while you are there or they probably have a schedule on their website. Barnes & Noble has every book youd ever want. But if for some chance they dont, they can order it for you. Its a great store. It wont disappoint. There is also a coffee shop in the store . I highly recommend you stop in.

They have almost any book you want. They have people to help you there too. They also have a Starbucks inside. They even have movies and albums too. So if you like to read or watch movies or drink Starbucks then you should go here.

Found what I was looking for easily. About 15 minutes tops..

They didnt have 2 different books that I wanted to purchase. They did say that they could order them. I ordered both books from Amazon and received them next day and they cost less than they would have cost at Barnes and Noble. I was willing to spend more there if they had them in stock but why would I pay more if I had to order them.

Barnes and Nobles , Antioch , CA Store is open and mandatory mask is required during uptick of the covid. Not many people hanging out only can hang 30 minutes at most. I saw someone with starbuck drink, not sure if the starbuck counter was being tended to, when i glanced over no one was at counter. The person might have been in the back. This store , I seem to think that if you have a hard time finding something, some one who works there will help you find it, if you ask. I was looking for a particular book for the new cell phone I bought, and just wanted the how to book for a specific phone, but phone is too new I guess , and they did not have it. Its Anyways, they usually just carry the top brand Galaxy manuals, and iPhone or iPad manuals , but for older models. All in all , Im glad the store is open. So sad to see alot of the stores surrounding B&N book store Closed and Gone. I hope B&N hangs in there through these trying times.

I just walked around the store enjoying the books and magazines. One of the employees asked if I needed help. I politely declined, but enjoyed the brief attention. It was nice being in a bookstore with people who enjoy books (not just browsing some app on a tablet).

The Graphic novle section was full but its fine

Bigger and with a better selection than many local libraries but also full of new book and cafe aromas, this Barnes and Noble isnt just a great place to buy a book. Its a space where books and readers alike come alive. Whether its a thrill-seeker or a hopeless romantic who walks through the old-timey wooden double doors, all book-lovers can get lost in this stores ample aisles. Itll be such a shame when Amazon finally puts them out of business.

Please never close this store. Its one of the very few bookstores in existence anymore, and we need it in our community. Amazon is fine, but there is nothing quite like going to a bookstore, browsing the shelves, and buying a book to bring home right on the spot. I love Barnes and Noble. Please stay open!

I absolutely love this bookstore, the location of this one in particular is fabulous. I highly recommend it, for the the sheer size of location alone to begin with. The selection inside is equally fabulous, there is a lot to choose from and the prices are reasonable too! Always a grand time.

I love Barnes and noble. The atmosphere is great, the Starbucks cafe inside is amazing and always smells yummy. Theyve expanded their board games and toys which is now a huge section in the back. We were at the store for over an hour. The kid section is amazing and they have a great reading area with the cutest background

Love this place. Kids Favorite has a nice toy and book section. All the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.

There arent too many of these around any more, and I feel almost lucky I found this one (Lone Tree Way in Antioch). I like their selection of media, mostly books. Like other B&N stores, they have an in-house (Starbucks) coffee bar, so its easy to pick up a few books and sit at a table to read through and decide whether its worth the purchase.

The employee was extremely helpful in finding the books I needed. She also was able to get me a good discount on them. I will definitely be shopping there again.

Barnes & Noble has a wide variety of books such as, Bibles, chapter book, childrens books, and other things. Such as lego sets and toys for kids. They also have food at Barnes & Noble and kindle tablets which are tablets made for reading. Overall Barnes & Nobles is a great place for books and more

We love Barnes and Noble. The people are nice and helpful and the selection is fabulous. As our daughter says it is our heaven. Everything we could possibly want, plus treats and coffee.

Great place to park & read, sip a green tea. Good sales on kindle productd last week. I miss the old style bookstores like this one. Enjoyed our time and staff is helpful.

Glad to see Barnes and Noble still around. They have a great selection of Thomas and friends wooden trains. A great train table setup for my son as well.

A great selection of stuff and a nice store. Some of the worst coustomer service I have ever encountered in a book store. For what you are charged you should have an easy time shopping but that is not the case.
