Don’t walk away, run away from this guy. Does not stand behind his work. By the way he will go on the attack and say you are looking for free work when you ask him to repair his faults so be prepared for that, I notice he threatened to take someone who complained about him to court well I got people looking into him now he may have a little surprise with the state and better business bureau

Nate, the owner of NC Home Improvement, is one of, if not the most competent, multi-talented, dedicated, and extraordinarily hard working home improvement contractors I have ever had the privilege to hire. I have owned several properties through the years and am therefore always needing plumbing, carpentry, roofing, siding, and drywall installation and repairs. Not only has Nate recently handled each of these projects for me but additionally installed kitchen cabinets, a complete bathroom, vinyl plank flooring, windows, and wood trim, as well as painting and light electrical work too. I am convinced there is nothing that Nate cannot do because he will tackle any problem and one way or another will get the job done because he is crafty and clever and unlike many knows how to think outside of the box. Plus his prices are fair and competitive. My only regret is that I didn’t find him years ago. The icing on the cake is beautiful custom cross-buck barn doors he crafted for my Fairfield, CT Carriage House. The doors are truly head-turners and the complements just keep coming! I am so impressed by his work and work ethic and so proud of him. My next jobs for him will be installing a privacy fence and repairing my wood deck. Needless to say, I highly recommend Nate and his company.

Nate did a great job with our deck. He is very patient with his clients; he works fast and works well and gives reasonable quote. We would definitely recommend Nate and we are looking forward to working with him again on our other home projects.

Initially Nate was very pleasant and completed the work in a quick and timely process. However, the deck came apart slightly where Nate said it was due to swelling of the wood.I was not able to walk on my deck as it had cane completely out of the screw I.e the planks. He had me purchase way more material than I needed. I contacted Nate several times and nothing! I had to pay someone else to fix the deck.This literally happened about 1 month after the deck was built.I do NOT recommend this company. If you don’t mind not being able to count on him to fix something that was his work then go for it.

Update: Nate bid on my job tried to increase his price during the job and quit half way through after demanding I pay more money. HIs claims below are false. the deck he did for me has issues he would not fix unless I paid him more$$. Planks are rising up, misaligned rails...I have pictures of his work if anyone is interested. Beware not an honest person making false claims against people, see his response to the truth. The only one giving him a bad name is himself. Bless his dark heart.Nate bid on another job for me, took my money and left me hanging. He put me off for several weeks, not answering calls or messages claimed the check had to clear. He tried to get me to pay more than we agreed on because he mis-measured the door, said he would come back in 2-3 days to finish the job, he insisted he needed half the remaining balance for ‘materials’, Though I already had the flooring. He didn’t show... Now he will not return my messages. I suspect he is quitting the job because I refused to pay more. However, Another contractor told me I already paid more than the job was worth. Should have gone elsewhere...
