They dont deserve any stars but in order to give my review I had to give them something. Before they changed owners. I loved this place! They were always so kind and explained everything and made you feel at home. My daughter and I have went here for 7 years. The new owners.............THEIVES! I have good insurance and for 7 years me and my daughter were always able to get our exam, glasses and contacts with out ever paying out of pocket. Recently I went down to the office because I kept getting a call that I had contacts to picked up? I had not been there for 9 months and still had contacts there? When I went in there was 1 box for 1 eye? Why would I order 1 box for 1 eye? and why have they been sitting there for 9 months and I just now I get a call? They really could not tell me why, but what they did tell me is that we had a girl working here for 3 months and she screwed up a lot of records then they proceeded to tell me I owed $275 dollars? What? So I have had a bill for 9 months and I never received a call or received a bill in the mail? So why all of the sudden are there contacts for 1 eye and a bill for $275 dollars? They could not explain it. It took 45 mins of 2 woman trying to figure it out and they came to the conclusion that I had ordered contacts 3 x in the last year. No I did not, I never go over my limit of my insurance and I have never called and ordered contacts. I order what I need after my exam and pick those up and if I need more (which I didnt, I still had 3 boxes for each eye). I would order online or call and see how much insurance I had left to use. My husband reminded me that when he went to pick up my contacts after my exam that they said they ordered the wrong contacts and are ordering the correct ones and would call when those came in. They came in, He picked up my contacts and all has been fine for 9 months, and then all of a sudden I have a bill and a box of contacts. This is insurance fraud and stealing from patients. They used every cent of my insurance which is $700 dollars and then decide 9 months later I owe $275?! I had a eye exam, a fitting for my contacts and contacts and your telling me it came to $975?! Why? I have before had that and a pair of glasses and still did not go over my insurance limit. I will never go there again, I was going to send my other daughter there but not now. So me and my daughters will be finding a new eye doctor that doesnt steal or fraud insurance companies. Select Eyecare should be ashamed of themselves. I really wish it was still Marsh Optical, I never ever had a problem and then the new owners come in and admit the records have been messed up and still want to charge me 275.00 out of the blue? Disgusted!!!!

Fantastic experience! They took such great care and time with me. The entire time they made sure I understood what was happening and why. New to contact lenses they invested in me making sure I understood what to do when to do it and how. Got new glasses as well and they took the time to make sure I got the perfect glasses. Excellent experience!

Jackie is so awesome she really is so patient with me with dealing with my new colored contacts and really knows my style I love her and the owners and my eye doctor is wonderful ❤️😍❤️

The Optometrist was😊 AWESOME AND VERY HELPFUL!:The ladies were very nice and they were quicker than I had expected🤩...However,🤯 I am SEVERELY DISAPPOINTED that theyre not open on Saturdays.... or at least have a pick up service/person to be there in case eyewear comes in and the person waiting for them needs to wait til Monday 😕

I really enjoyed classy look of this place! The waiting area was very clean and so comfortable. The staff and Doctor were so friendly and made sure that everyone was well taken care of in a very efficient manner! Very nice! The Doctor was very thorough and knowledgeable! I’m impressed after my experience with 3 other optometrists through the years and 3 different states. I would recommend Marsh optical to any inquiries immediately! The only thing that I didn’t appreciate, was that I was not made aware of the fact that my pupil dilation would cause my vision to be so blurry that I couldn’t read! And next time I’m going to ask my husband to drive me home. That drive home was pretty scary. Anyways, with just one misinformed incident, I’ll still be going back

My experience with Dr. Emerson was very unfavorable. I had been to Select Eyecare (Marsh Optical) previously and needed a prism put in both lenses because of botched cataract surgeries in 2013. Glasses worked well that Dr. Laymen prescribed. Then I had PRK surgeries in both eyes, eliminating the need for the prism. I received a new prescription from the clinic where I had the surgery and had it filled at Target.When I went in for an eye exam on April 22, 2020, Dr. Emerson did the normal testing but did NOT test for a prism. When I got the glasses, I put them on and took them off immediately. I could not see out of them. I was seeing double, due to the prism, and my right eye was not clear. I came in for another exam, again she didnt test for a prism. She showed me what my prescription would be, 1 eye at a time. The right eye was blurry and I told her that. She said I could be getting cataracts!! I told her Ive already had cataract surgery. She said I could be getting them again! Could she not tell from the exam?? Two days later I called Select Eyecare and told them I was concerned about the prescription in the right eye. They said they would have the glasses made and I should get used to them. I picked them up, tried to wear them, but could see better without glasses. If I tried too wear them for an hour, I would have a headache for 2 hours afterward. They offered to make new glasses with my old prescription. Why would I do that?? I still had my old glasses.I would never see Dr. Emerson again, in fact Select Eyecare is off my list of providers. I was treated like I was the problem when the doctor could not create a correct prescription for me. NOT RECOMMENDED!!

Our entire family of four have yearly eye exams & purchase all of our glasses & sunglasses through Marsh Optical for several years now & we highly recommend them!Excellent customer service from both Jane and Dr. Layman through the years. If a mistake was made we were compensated with a discount & made sure that the situation was corrected and that we were satisfied. Very knowledgeable & personalized attention from Jane with help picking out frames is always welcomed & much appreciated!If we ever felt there was not enough choices in frames at the Anoka store, we were referred to their Coon Rapids location for more variety.We enjoy supporting small businesses that offer excellent customer service and great products, so5 stars from our family goes to Marsh Optical of Anoka for providing this!

An outstanding experience all around. Consice friendly doctor and Jane has an excellent variety of frames to choose from. Very helpful and kind, and also a real pro at fitting and adjusting glasses. We are lucky to have such a great place in our own backyard.

Dr. Emerson was fast, efficient and polite. The whole staff was the same way and my experience was great for my first time there.

Ruined my experience before I even had my appointment! Called a week ago to set up an appointment and went in to my appointment with my 2 month old baby today to find out the guy who answered the phone never even put me in the schedule! Not only that but they have no openings for 2 more weeks and wanted me to just sit and wait to see if they could possibly squeeze me in. I made a pointless drive to the office with a baby to be sent right back home. Absolutely disgusted! Would not recommend

Been a member for 6 years, really nice place and the people are nice too. But i gave them a 4 star rating because they need to get more glasses option.
