I called ahead to verify that they were accepting the clothing size I have right now (boys 18 month). Yes, they are. I even verified the limit is 2 containers. This was shortly before close on Saturday. Sunday, I came in with a box of clothes and was told due to others ahead of me that I could return in 45 minutes. Thats totally normal, so Im cool so far. Ran a quick errand, came back and did some shopping and was ready to check out and get paid. I was told I would get nothing today because my clothes werent paired in outfits! Yep, outfits!Now I dont know about most of you, but pretty much every single OUAC Ive been into has very few things set up as outfits! Each size is set up as a rainbow of shirts, and a section of bottoms with very few outfits. And anything that was an actual outfit in my box was paired as such.Needles to say between the experience and how rudely I was treated by the staff that were working, I will never return to the Anoka location.
This is my absolute favorite store for buying and selling my childrens things! Im always able to find name brand stuff here! Just bought a brand new under armor backpack and Adidas cleats for my son! Staff are always so nice and friendly!

If I could give zero stars that would more appropriate! The staff (Red Hair lady) is completely RUDE and should not be working with customers or in a place with children. This establishment has there front door open when this should be a safety concern with children in the store and located on a busy highway. I WOULD NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHER PLACES THAT OFFER GREAT SERVICE AND SAFETY FOR THERE CUSTOMERS!
Love this location! I mostly just shop and love their deals and amazing prices! My kids have so much because of this place and I couldn’t be more thankful! I also love their rewards program! If you sign up for text messages you receive weekend deals so you can wait until what you need is on sale and then go. I sold there once and it was a smooth process we waited in the car and I felt like everything I sold was priced fairly considering it would have just gone in the garbage🤷♀️ Staff is always helpful and friendly!
Anoka location is my favorite! I noticed how rude some of the customers can be to the staff and I am beyond impressed how cool tempered and respectful they continue to be regardless. They have a loyal shopper out of me, I always find what I need and more! Don’t understand the less than 5 stars reviews here. I would give them a 10 if I could! Keep up the good job Anoka! I appreciate the good deals and all that you offer.

I definitely do not recommend this store! My first experience at this store I thought maybe the girls that work there were having a bad day, but then the second visit... same thing! The people that work there are completely rude and definitely need more practice in customer service! Especially the manager, Hispanic lady. Very rude! I typically go to the one in Maple Grove, Ill be taking my business there again from now on. Looks like Im not the only one that complains about the rudeness at this location, maybe higher up needs to take a look at that.
I visited again today and this place has amazing service! I went here with my child and they were super nice. I see a lot of people giving poor reviews for service but I believe you may have been the problem. If you are repsectful and teach your childeren proper manners there should be no problems.The staff is very kind and polite, I have personally witnessed very difficult shoppers who have given the staff Unnecessary grief and have refused to wear masks. I am glad I am able to buy such a nice products for low prices. Will be back soon!

I went to this store to find outfits for my grandson. The staff were super friendly and helpful. A lady came into this store with her 3 children. I want to say, it is CLEARLY posted that when you are in the store that you should keep your children with you. Anyway, this lady is in there hanging out looking at all the onesies in the front of the store, and her kids go from playing with the toys in the back to running through the isles. One of her kids actually rode a toy right out the door. One of the women that worked there (red headed woman), actually had to ask where is this childs mom? I know the woman working was worried for this childs safety, and she should have NEVER been put in this situation, but the lady who was looking for her onesies made it uncomfortable for everyone with her absolute disregard for the other customers in the store as well as the women working there.
They have a lot of good stuff but the workers act annoyed or rude every time I go there. Me and my mom go there a lot and it’s been every single time. They make us feel like we’re bothering them or they don’t want to be there. Really like the deals and stuff we find though!!
Ive been to a couple of OUAC around the twin cities and this store has excellent organization for their clothes (which is usually what Im shopping for) and as a first time mom Im greatful these stores exist!
I was there a couple days ago and was happy to see their summer clearance going on now. 70% Super savings on already discounted items! I have been there before many times, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice the store looks. Super organized and so easy to shop, seriously. Thank you for all the good work. Ive only ever purchased items from this store, and not until this past week have I sold items. I am going through the process of selling all my girl clothes since we no longer have a girl in certain sizes. My first experience selling was last weekend and it was GREAT! I followed their directions on their website about how to sell. I only brought in two tote bins at a time to not overwhelm the staff (Ive seen their piles of clothes they are sorting through while shopping previously, yikes!), I sorted through all the clothes first and discarded any stained items, over worn, or brands they dont accept. Everything was washed, folded, and organized according to item (pants, shirts, shorts, etc. in a single pile), sets were folded together in a separate tote and I made the staff aware. The staff was so appreciative of how well I organized my totes! My first sell they purchased about 90% of the items I brought it and I was given a very fair price, more than I anticipated! Ive since brought in more totes to sell and have had the same great experience selling each time. Reading through some other reviews about selling I just have to shake my head. If they dont want to purchase your item, big deal. They should not be expected to give you a detailed report on every single item they reject. Its their business and they know what they want to resell and make a profit on, remember this is a business.FIVE STARS!
I brought in 3 boxes of like new brand name clothes to sell they where not busey bye any means. Yet they dident evan go through the boxes. All the clothes were still folded neatlyI and untuched when they where done. They told me it would be about a half hour what. Yet they where done in 5 minnets. I will find somwhere els to bring my close from now on.
I was the only customer in the store with my daughter and I was told to leave because I was unable to wear a mask. I have a medical exemption and I cannot wear a mask but they didn’t care and made me leave. My medical exemption is 100% in compliance with the governor’s mask mandate order but they apparently haven’t actually read the order. They offered curbside pickup - but how does that work for a used clothing store??..... Take your business elsewhere.
Super place to shop. I was impressed with the look of the store. Clearance is going on now and I found a lot for all my kids sizes 6y 10y 12y. Good selections, great brands great prices. Everyone working was pleasantly helpful and help me find just what we needed. I will definitely make this store my first stop for my kids needs.
Every staff who works here is so rude! Worst store to shop at! They barely take any of my new clothing items but when I walk around and look, I find all kinds of stained clothing and worn out clothes. I will NEVER come to this location again. Get some new staff that are friendly!

I was there yesterday and was going to purchase many items, but they had a staff who was working who was coughing and sneezing...masks are mandated in the store but what’s the point when you have sick workers touching all of your items and card at the checkout not impressed. I was able to purchase a lot of new outfits for my kids and I didn’t pay a thing! I actually got pay to shop! I recommend you call first to know how busy they are. They are always super busy on the weekends. The staff is amazing! they are super organized, helpful and no matter how busy they are always display a friendly attitude.
I’ve been to several Once Upon a Child stores around the cities and this one is HANDS DOWN the best of them all. They have anything and everything but it’s organized in a way that’s as least overwhelming as possible. The staff is always super helpful to point me in the direction of what I’m looking for. Prices are great and I can SO appreciate that they have high standards on what items they’ll buy. Plenty of options in the sizes I need. 5 stars, no doubt.

WOW, I totally agree with the 5 stars review! Aaaamazing to shop at the Anoka location. I wish I could give Them 10 stars! I have been to many of the once upon in the twin cities and Duluth , and Anoka wins everytime. Don’t bring dirty items and expect them to be happy with you. Clean your stuff! Bring them clean! Wash them if you haven’t in a while. Us shoppers don’t want smelly clothes, sure we wash them after buying them but bring them to sell clean! If I work there I would not want to go through dirty bins ! and specially clean your dirty crusty equipment ! Yuck! You are the rude customer! Be kind to others and kindness you will receive.
Not my first negative experience with this place. Arrived at 4:30 this afternoon with one medium box of mostly brand new name brand clothing. They said they were not taking any more clothes for the day. I said seriously, I have one box. They said you can set it down and we will see if we can get to it. Looked around for 20 minutes. Went back up to the desk where 4-5 girls were working and they hadn’t even touched the box. Never again. I would rather donate to hope 4 youth.

I LOVE this location! I do t live on that side of town but go out of my way to go there. Its organized and I always find amazing deals for my 14 year son old and my 2 year old daughter. Brand new clothes too! Staff is always sweet and helpful. I highly recommend this location!
I love being able to shop for my baby on a budget, onesies or pants are usually $1.50 a piece and matching outfit sets are around $4.50.The only problem is that the store is not big enough to handle the truckloads of stuff that comes in daily. If upper management expanded the store or put more effort into shelving and organizing then it would be easier to find what you need. Instead you have to dig through tubs and look on shelves that are stacked two high with bouncers/etc.

Review for buying as Ive never sold here. I typically can always find good clothes for my kids. They have a lot of inventory which is good but also causes things to be a bit tight and cluttered sometimes. We always go back though and will continue to do so!
Do not do “easy curb side shopping”. They don’t know how to follow directions. Had to tell them 3 different times what I needed for my daughter. Ended up leaving soo annoyed and frustrated still without everything I needed and asked them. The world is going through a pandemic right now and all having to stay in our houses was really needing next sizes to cloth my daughter. Wanted 10 for 10 6-9m and 10 for 10 9m. Ended up leaving Frustrated with 20 for 20 6-9. For anyone who doesn’t have a baby or for some reason don’t know, 6m, 6-9m and 9m are 3 different sizes and all fit differently.

If the staff doesn’t want to buy your stuff is because is not good enough period. Deal with it, I’d not take it personal and don’t get why you all take it so personal. Wondering why my clothes were just thrown in a heap in the box after it was gone through? Once upon a child asks for the clothes to be folded neatly. It would be respectful to return them in same order? I also saw dollar tree items in store that were priced way over a dollar.
The staff was rude and complained loudly about their shifts while I was there. They rudely insisted that I be there promptly at 3 to pick up my buy. I stayed in the store so that I wouldn’t be late, but they were the late ones. I have waited a long time for buys before and don’t mind it, but the staff was even more unfriendly than usual. It’s not worth the hassle anymore, and I won’t be back to buy or sell.

Lots of items, good prices-- look for sales as thats why its really worth it to buy. But VERY overcrowded with items. They need a bigger space, or to limit the items they take in. There is often barely space to walk, and if there are a few people in the store, I tend to give up even looking at things as the space is so cramped.
Terrible customer service. Absolutely disgraceful. Abby is the name of the manager. She was rude and unaccommodating. I will not be returning. Store is over crowded. Kids Rack in Champlin is a much better place. Clean, organized and friendly.

Disappointed. Stopped in to find something for my 9 year old daughter school project. My two toddlers were sleeping in truck so I asked them to help her find something (gave description). Didnt even come out from behind desk and attempt to help her.Store was not busy. Just lack of caring to offer assistance.
My favorite place for used kid clothing. They have high quality used clothing and shoes. You can even get used dance costumes and shoes, ice skates, toys, strollers, etc. They also have a place for your kids to play while you shop!

I guess I was spoiled by the store I shopped at in another state. This store has been nothing but a disappointment. Its very small and extremely crowded with merchandise. Even the aisles always have stuff in them, making it hard to maneuver. Many of the clothes are substandard (stained, torn) and selection is poor. To make it worse, they are way overpriced. Sales associates arent very friendly (at least, the ones I have dealt with in the 3-4 times Ive shopped there). Last, but not least, someone should tell them to turn the blaring music down. Totally unpleasant shopping experience. Glad I discovered other places to do discount shopping for kids clothing.
I walked past 3 employees - not one word of greeting. Brought my purchases to the counter and the lady says oh - this is a Christmas outfit, its not supposed to be out yet. She just stood there and looked at it. Then she said Well, I guess Ill let you buy it since it was out. Gee thanks for allowing me to buy your merchandise. I asked for a gift receipt, they dont have them. Their return policy is 7 DAYS. My granddaughter wont even get it until then (its going in the mail)

Surprisingly organized. However, staff could be more courteous. I was selling items and was asked to stay in the store, instead of calling my name when she was finished....she went out for a smoke break while I stood there twiddling my thumbs. I had to ask if they were finished.

Terrible customer service, went there once and told me my baby chair I had just bought and only used once had an “odor” to it so I brought it to a different once upon a child location and they bought it from me and said it didn’t have any odor at all. So I gave the store another try and still highly disappointed customer service was terrible and store is so cluttered and dirty merchandise. The worst once upon a child I’ve ever been to and I never had a bad experience or thought on a once upon a child store til i went to this location.

Items in this store are overpriced, $10 for a pair of used jeans? I went to Kmart and got whole NEW outfits for under $10.Even if those pants are Gap they’re USED. For $10 I’d rather go to Walmart or target and get them NEW.
I have been here several times. The selection is not great and the store is very cluttered. The staff at this location is very rude. I can imagine people always think their stuff is worth more than the store is allowed to give but the staff here treat you like they dont have time to deal with your crap. I brought in some baby gear, 2 diaper boxes of clothes, 2 Rubbermaid bins of clothes, 1 Sterilite bin of winter boots, a few pairs of dress boots, 2 costumes, and some other various baby things. The extremely well taken care of/barely used gear was taken as well as about 3/4 of a laundry basket full of clothes. That was all I was shown. (Most of the clothes were rejected for various reasons. However, when I looked through the bins later you could tell that the clothes werent really gone through at all.)I was told they dont take hats. One of the hats I brought in seems to be gone now. I was told they dont take snowsuits with feet because the kiddos cant walk in them. Umm ... Most 3-6 month olds (the size of the suit) CANNOT walk yet.My main concern is that I think perhaps things were taken without me being compensated for them. I never saw the 2 pairs of expensive winter boots (in boxes) or the costumes and a few other items in the accepted pile, but those items were never sent back with me either. Next time I sell to a place like this I will demand an itemized list of accepted items with a price quote.*** UPDATE AFTER OWNER RESPONSE ***NONE of the many clothes I brought in were stained or torn. ALL were listed on the website as Brands We Love. I was told that Circo wasnt accepted, yet it is still listed in the website. Most of what I brought in was Carters, Gap, Gymboree, etc. Yet, I was told that it wasnt acceptable because of stains or looking worn. Considering I purchased 90% of everything in those boxes/bins brand NEW, I dont think they would look very worn. (All items were 3-12 months in size; therefore, they werent worn very long, if at all.) If I had been told that the store had an abundance of a certain sizes or that they were out if season or something, then it would have make a lot more sense.Id like to see the itemized list, since they kept track of the order. Again, I was never told that the store accepted/paid me for some things that were NOT returned to me. I did ask what they wanted after the employees were through looking and before accepting the offer that was made. It was only after I was home that I saw what was gone.As an aside, I understand that not everyone needs a snowsuit. We used ours in THE SNOW and at cold hockey arenas, football stadiums, in the stroller, and similar (NOT in a carseat) so baby could watch/be involved. However, the reason given was only that the store doesnt accept snowsuits with feet.

Today I decided to Google this store to check the hours. I noted that there were a lot of negative reviews from people and decided that I would take a moment to provide an honest review that isnt written during a fit of rage. That seems to be a theme in these reviews. I visit this store regularly, at least twice a month and sometimes its as high as 8 times a month.Appearance of the Store:I would start by saying this is a used clothing store. They have a lot of clothing but that is what allows you the opportunity to pick and choose what you want. It does not look like the shelves at Target so if you are expecting that then go to Target.There seem to be a lot of comparisons to the Maple Grove location. I have visited both and I personally feel this location beats Maple Grove hands down. You want to see a crowded store then you should go to Maple Grove for sure. I also find that Maple Grove accepts lower end brands that Anoka doesnt so that makes the selection at Anoka much better to me.Quality of Clothing:Its used. Let me repeat that its used. Not every single item in the store is going to be absolutely flawless. The store is busy none stop and their employees are expected to look through 3 tubs of clothing in 7 minutes because the people writing these reviews expect them too. And then you complain if they missed something on an item when they were looking through them? Doesnt seem fair to me to criticize them for it. If it has a stain then dont buy it. They also have a return policy. I have had times I got home and found a stain on something. It has been returned every time without question or any problems.Staff:I have interacted with what I assume is most of the employees in the store. I personally think they are all great and I honestly enjoy chatting with them while I am there. Im a little surprised to see the things that some people report because I have never been treated even close to that and I always see them friendly with everyone. I cant say they are never rude to anyone but I struggle to believe its as often as most people here say it is and I have never seen it. Maybe the problem is that you are expecting them to search your 3 tubs of clothing while you are yelling at them about how you think the store is terrible? Im not sure but it could be the problem.Overall, its awesome here and I will continue to shop here! You cant beat the prices. Today I found a pair of Under Armour pants for my child that retail for $44.99. I paid $10. I also found 2 Under Armour 1/4 zips for $8.50 each and they retail for $34.99. There are 2 reasons that I only gave one star. First the website has nothing on it about what they will and will not take(and there seems to be a pretty specific list about what they will take). And the second reason is that the employees were rude. After telling us what they accept and dont accept, we asked them why it was not on the website they looked at us like we were stupid and told us they thought it was common sense. Also told us not to bother bringing in the rest of our stuff unless we went through it first. After that comment I will not bother going there ever.
I shopped at this store w my sister who was from it of town we were looking for some baby items were pleasantly surprised to find a good choice of items available we found two bassinettes sent a picture of each to the expect mother she chose one and we paid put it in our vehicle were very pleased with our purchases unfortunately we did not find a stroller this time when we were there we were looking for a specific type of stroller however our shopping turned out with a good experience lots of choices in sizes and types of childrens clothing I found some for my greatgrandaughter excellent quality as well as convienent to find the sizes I was looking for, I would recommend this store for others who might find good clothing at s reduced cost to new with good quality, I have recommended this store to others as a great place to try to find those unexpected finds.
Havent shopped there in a few years, but they keep telling me to review them now after all this time, so here it is! I found many brand name, barely used items for a fraction of the cost to buy new and am still using some of them daily (summer infant baby gates)!

Upon arriving, it was my second to stop for the day to sell clothes, I placed my basket on the counter. I reached for a piece of paper to write my name down and it was snatched away from me by a staff member. I said Oh, sorry.. That is what I did at the last place She said huh & mumbled something.. She said it would be just a few minutes I was never called up. As I went up to pay for few items I had found, I had to let the person ringing me up that I had not been called up about the clothes I had brought in. EVERYtime I have come to this location I am treated this rudely. I really am not sure why I keep coming back. Awful.

If I could give less than one star I would. Went to sell clothing and a bike. Automatically declined the bike because the tires were low. I had no air pump but supplied with 2 never opened boxes of bike tubes for the bike. Still declined because theg have no way of knowing it would work. Bike was used mabye a handful of times and had been in storage. I went outside and checked out 2 bikes they had for sale. One of the bikes had low air tires, hmmm... Then they said my clothing check would take 45 minutes. Hardly people in the store. As I browswd around, employees were in to their chatter. 25 min or so later. I get Were sorry. None of the clothing works due to stains. Stains my eye. If there were stains, Id never bring them in. And here I was, ready to buy a costume. Nope. I said well, I wont buy this costume due to stains then. Then I get a response, Well, thats a costume, we take those differently. Excuse me, its still an article of clothing. I would steer clear of this store. Very cluttered, blocked ilses and not so friendly staff with excuses. I will keep my business at a much cleaner and friendlier location. Major 2 thumbs down at Coon Rapids.

Horrible customer service, the place is cluttered wall to wall, which makes it hard to walk and find sizes, has a weird smell to it as well (could be the nasty carpet). Ill never go back thanks to the rudeness of the staff.

Clothes are overpriced.You can find cheaper prices at a clearance or sale in a brand name store. Toys could be a little cheaper.
One of the better once upon children store buys alot of clothes & toys & keep a huge selection of kids clothing & toys not that busy compared to other stores great associates very helpful & quick

Done with this store. The staff was super rude and acted above anyone there. Tons of kids in the store and they had a Bush album playing loud with the lyrics over and over THERES NO SEX IN YOUR VIOLENCE hahaha. That would never play in any store, let alone a kids place.
