Had a great time in a long line for Record Store Day. First time to an event like this and all of the gentlemen were pleasantly interactive. Theres only one payment area which was a downside and parking is a challenge around The States Capital per usual. They reserved 3 spots and I think that was a nice gesture. Thankfully it was a good weather day as the decent size shopping area would have been stuffy otherwise. PS - they have oodles of stickers, trinkets and other music oddities for sale as well as store related merchandise.

The best. I love visiting this place when Im downtown! Weve purchased most of our record collection from here and our record player and speakers as well! Great atmosphere and absolutely addicting!

Stopped here on vacation a few years back and when I entered their store- it felt very nostalgic! This store offered a lot of classic albums on vinyl by a lot of classic rock groups but also some contemporary ones by current musicians. Very talkative staff and down to earth employees. Check them out the next time you are in the Annapolis/Maryland area.

I always find an amazing selection at Ka-Chunk. New, used, old, classic - they have it all! The staff is always friendly and helpful. They’re willing to make special orders of available on their catalog, so be sure to ask if you’re looking for something specific. Prices are reasonable and compare closely with online marketplaces. Parking out front is metered during the week and free on the weekend. They’re situated on a one way street so I advise parking a couple blocks over and walking. It’s just a few short steps away from the Maryland State Capital building. Also, it’s the only record store in old downtown Annapolis, so you must visit if you’re a vinyl enthusiast. In addition to LPs, they have other accessories for collectors such as sleeves and storage boxes, etc.

Awesome record store with a great selection. The owner was a super nice guy and really helpful. Cool screen prints, vintage video game consoles, and other interesting items for sale. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

This is such a great record store. Our whole family, teens to (ahem) older ones, love to pop in and enjoy the incredible variety of records. There’s never any pressure to buy (although we do) — and the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. This shop is a real gem of Downtown Annapolis. We love eating and shopping on Maryland Avenue, and Ka-Chunk is a must-stop when we go downtown. Rock On!!

I come to this store regularly since moving to Annapolis about 6 years ago. Every time I get three things: something old, something new, and great hospitality. I love when I cant find what Im looking for, the folks that work there are incredibly helpful. Theyve been excellent with covid protocols, especially on Record Store Day.

Awesome place to find great records at any price point youre looking for :-) I bought a bunch of records for my friends granddaughter who just recently asked for a turntable! I went diving in the $1 and $5 boxes and found some real Classics. They also have collectible records. Dont miss this wonderful magical place in Annapolis Maryland!

I thoroughly enjoy visiting this record shop. The dude behind the counter is very chill and the whole shop has a cool aesthetic. There are some great deals tucked into the 1-6$ discount bin. The scratches there are usually minimal and fine. They also have a great stock of new records.

Was truly a world class experience from start to finish. (And my wife LOVES the Dolly album I grabbed—you should’ve seen her face when I brought it home!)

This is a pretty cool little record store.

Best place outside of DC to get records. Shop owner is pretty helpful, very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about turntables and setups. Alternate employees are just as good, and they usually play dope music here. Parking outside is usually a little bit of a hassle, but its worth it for the only record store in the area that isnt judgmental or even slightly pretentious. Just people who like music and can appreciate your tastes too.

Great store with one of Marylands biggest selection of NEW vinyl. I love this store because it isnt bogged down in thousands of Budget LPs. Too many record stores are filled with a bunch of junk LPs because owners have bought up every album someone slams on the counter for cash. This store is a little geared more towards alternative, which I love, but something to know. Hard not to walk out with half a dozen albums.

I absolutely love this record store! Even when I walk in just to browse, I still end up finding something I didn’t know I needed to buy. They have a good variety of old standards, new artists, and bargain bins that really are a bargain. I am so glad that places like KA-CHUNK!! still exist and feel fortunate to have it in my own town.

They have the best overall selection of new records. Found a couple bands that Ive not been able to find elsewhere. Highly recommend!!

One of the more unique and fun spots in Annapolis, Kachunk has a good selection of current music plus a lot of old punk and rock albums.

Spoke with owner thru text several times regarding types of albums I was selling. He stated he wod be interested in buying some. When I drove the 40 minutes to his store he barely bothered to look at the albums and quickly said he was not interested. Waste of my time and gas.

Great little shop! Only one within about 45 minutes of my home town. The guy in there is always mega helpful and seriously knowledgeable about the music they are selling.

Ive been to record stores all over the country, and Ka-Chunk is by far one of my favorites. The selection is fantastic and I can always find something Ive been looking for. If youre into punk, indie, garage rock, classic rock, funk, soul, jazz, and everything in between, I recommend you stop by Ka-Chunk. The owner, Matt, is very knowledgeable about the music he carries and is always very helpful.
