I thought this place only sold sod but they also sell zoysia plugs at their centreville location. I called asking all sorts of questions and they were extremely knowledgeable. I drove out to pick up the plugs and I was pleasantly surprised at how healthy and robust the plugs are. I’m glad I didn’t do mail order I don’t think they would be in such excellent condition. Super helpful staff when I called and when I picked up my small order.

Recently ordered Leaf-gro. Delivered in one their huge Terra-Tote bags, 2,000 pounds I was told, in excellent time considering their free delivery. Excellent - not too much woody material. Would use again - no, will definitely order again next year.

Everything was perfect from ordering to delivery. I ordered 2 pallets for a major lawn renovation at our residence. The sod was fresh, lush and moist. It laid down smoothly. I was notified by the driver when they were near by. He was courteous, friendly and placed the pallets exactly where I asked. I would not consider ordering from anyone else.

Ordered a terra tote of garden soil for some raise beds we put in our backyard. It was miles better and cheaper than getting bagged soil from a big box store and it made far less of a mess than just getting a pile of soil delivered on our driveway. The deliver process was painless too. Id use them again!

I was totally pleased by everything involved with our sod order. The price was great, and we were so happy that the sod could be delivered to our home. The delivery was right on time, and the sod was freshly cut and was excellent quality. We had worked hard to prepare the soil before installation, and we have been watering the sod regularly, and so far the lawn looks fantastic.

The sods are healthy from the start. They are all thriving and growing in lush green since the 2nd week of planting. We regraded the soil in our backyard after the above ground pool installation. The excavator got so “carried-away” that they have excavated soil 3 times the size of our pool. These sods are of higher quality than what we used to get from a local plant nursery. They did not struggle in growing at all. We just applied the sod fertilizer on garden soil and watered 2 times a day and the sods grew healthy! Central sods is highly recommended! Thank you!

Ordered 2 pallets of top soil. Delivered early and top quality stuff. Patching some lumps and bumps in the yard. Seed grows very quickly in this stuff. Ill be back for more!

The sod is amazingly fresh literally cut moments before I arrive to pick up and have meshed so easily into my yard. I recently purchased 600sq ft of the fescue sod. I followed their instructions for preparation and two weeks later the sod looks great. Following a watering and fertilizing regiment the sod is green, growing and has rooted. I purchased online, selected delivery and was given texts to update the status on my order the day of the delivery. This was significantly cheaper than larger companies and I would absolutely recommend Central Sod Farms Annapolis.

Friendly, knowledgeable personnel and sod/soil at very competitive prices. We purchased our first batch of sod from them (doing a yard renovation project) and the end product exceeded our expectations.I give them four stars only because of their soil delivery service. They promise sod deliveries on a certain date, but soil seems to be at the convenience of the company (aka, we expected a Friday delivery to work on the weekend and instead got a Monday delivery). They also failed to deliver the soil to the back yard as requested on both the online order form and in person when signing the delivery receipt - I understand there may have been obstacles in executing the order as requested, but this was never clearly explained and that was a bit disappointing.Overall though very impressed with the high quality of the products.

Great service and superior product. Install was a breeze. Sod super exceeded my expectation. Ordered 16 rolls only used thirteen. I always rather have more than not enough. I didnt know my neighbor was going to install sod the same day from another company. His rolls were half the size of mine and the quality wasnt even close. He ran out and I gave him my leftover three rolls. He was really happy. He kept complimenting me on what a professional job I did. It wasnt me, it was the quality of the sod.

Terrible clay delivered in bulk. Their terra tote garden soil is just junk clay they dug up under a house apparently. Avoid this, your garden wont grow and youll end up buying real soil elsewhere .

The staff was very friendly and answered our questions since it was our first time installing sod. The process was really quick and they even loaded our sod into the vechiles for us! In all it took less than five minutes and they let us know that the sod was cut 2 minutes before we got there. Thats how fresh it was! A much better option price and quality wise compared to other graden centers and nurseries. Definitely recommend!

I chose to go with Central Sod to re-sod my town home backyard over the offering from Home Depot or Lowes for a few reasons: (1) to get a better overall product, (2) the big box stores didnt sell and deliver sod in the quantity I needed, (3) when possible, I prefer to buy local, (4) flexibility for shipping options, and (5) excellent price (added with the perceived higher quality, made for a great value). The total area of sod purchased covered 300 sq ft.Pre Purchase Experience:Prior to laying down the sod (I purchased the Durablend Tall Fescue), they have a fairly comprehensive Q&A on their website, and when I called their direct line with clarifying questions, they were very helpful and patient. The option for home delivery was also a big deciding factor in choosing Central Sod.Post Purchase Experience:The purchase process was easy (I ordered online and indicated when I wanted the product shipped), and the delivery came exactly on time as promised. The delivery guy was helpful in giving some final tips to laying down the sod mats, and worked with me on a good place to drop the half pallet of sod. Three weeks after laying down the sod, I can attest that the product is great; the grass looks good, and has grown in nicely.Final Thoughts:I gave my experience 4 out of 5 stars. Im very happy with my purchase and experience, but will ding Central Sod one star because: (1) I ordered 300 sq ft., but only received 290 (each of their rolls are 10 sq ft rolls, and I ultimately received 29 and not 30 sod mats; part of this is my fault, as I didnt count it before the delivery guy left, but still, I paid for product that wasnt delivered, and (2) towards the bottom of the pallet, two of the mats had large holes in them, as if something about the size of a fist had punctured the sod mats. Ultimately, I had some areas of my lawn that required cutting up sod to fit a customized space, and I used these two defective mats for that purpose, so it worked out. But still, net-net, 10% of the order was either missing or defective (1 missing mat + 2 defective mats, out of 30 total ordered).Despite those two issues, Id order again, and am overall pleased with the purchase.
