I needed a shower set urgently when an order I had placed with a competitor was WAY late. The salesman (Kevin) was nice and told me they could have it at the parts counter for me the next day. Great!Next day I arrived at the counter. No urgency to assist me at all. Some old guy was lumbering around and finally acknowledged me and began looking for my order in an invoice book. I was a cash customer and didnt have an account so he had a hard time finding my order. He solicited help from another counter person and two sales people. Finally we figured out Kevin was my sales person and he came right out and found the slip. The old guy that pulled the part told me theres a system for these (cash customer orders) but everybody does it differently. Well thats not good now is it?Anyway, I got my part for slightly less than what I was paying at a competitor but it was looking hairy for several minutes. My sales guy was great. The cashier was great. The counter staff not so much.

Employee was incredibly rude, didnt want to take the time to answer questions because I didnt have an appointment. Will go to Fergusons

Cant say enough good things about this store. Richard was AMAZING. I was completely overwhelmed with my bathroom remodel. It has been a 13 year wait to finally gut and overhaul our master bathroom. Richard was fantastic. He talked with us about various options and things to consider. He never made us feel rushed. Everyone in the store was incredibly friendly. We visited several times and have experienced great follow through.We are planning another bathroom remodel in the coming months. We will without a doubt return to Thomas Somerville for that project as well. Before we started our bathroom project we visited a Ferguson showroom. No one in that store would speak to us. I will never consider Ferguson and would not hesitate to recommend Thomas Somerville. Everyone there as been so helpful but we will definitely seek out Richard for the next reno. Cant thank him enough for his time, insight, guidance, and support.

Poor service. There was little explanation about a product and when I asked for prices on two comparable ones she acted annoyed and replied she was already working late. Your products are fine; your service is not, and you have competition. You better clean up your act if you want to remain competitive. Were talking big bucks here, not a coffee at McDs.

While the staff are knowledgeable, I never cease to be amazed at how rude and unfriendly they are (with a few exceptions). With other local options, its not clear why I still come here but this is a public note to self to take my business elsewhere.

Great place they have everything know everything

My husband called to make sure that our order was ready for pick up. Erin told him all but 2 pieces were ready for pick. He told her we would be over to pick it up today. Once we arrived and waited for a hour they still did not have everything together for us. We left and told them we would be back in a hour. When we returned it took another half hour just to get someone to go get the bathtub.

Gone there twice. Neither time did anyone get up from their desks. They do have a nice selection though.

If I could give this pace negative stars I would. There was no customer service. Everyone I dealt with was rude and was unwilling to help. And they jacked up the prices where if I were to go to another plumbing supply store, like Ferguson, the prices would be half what they are here. Why should I be paying more and treated poorly?

We bought a Moen Motionsense kitchen faucet from this business at a price much greater than listed at Home Depot. Got it home, installed it correctly, and it does not work. Apparently this is a common problem with this faucet, our bad for not reading reviews as we were in a hurry. However- Somerville refuses to let us return the faulty unit, has offered no replacement, and has offered no customer support in terms of communication with Moen. So, why did we pay extra to buy from them? Were eating the extra cost of buying from this high-end retailer and dealing directly with Moen, who at least stands by their product. After working through installation and troubleshooting with Moen, it seems they will replace the faucet. Pity that Somerville wont do the same since I would clearly be writing a different review at the moment and would have a functional faucet today. This company lacks integrity, dont buy from them.

We have bought lots of supplies from thus location. I have always had excellent service with personnel both in sales and parts.

Their customer service was non-existent. I waited my turn to see the one sales women and after she took her time with everyone else she pushed me out of the door. Customer service is not emphasized at this business, in my experience.
