The go to place if you need anything marine related. Staff here is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices can be high on some things as is typical of West Marine but, they always have quality stuff.

Will is the best. He knows what I need even before I do. Its nice having such knowledgeable people around the store.

This is a good sized store with plenty of clothing, as well as regular marine gear you usually find at West Marine. The shelves were well stocked and neat. Good selection, polite staff Extremely High Prices on Everything.

Go to Fawcetts. Just down the street. Local business. Much more knowledgeable. Actually customer service oriented. Associates will actually speak to you rather than avoid you like they do at West Marine. I was literally bumped into today by an associate who walked around me to help someone else that had walked up to the service counter after me. Then skipped by another employee after that to lead someone else up to the counter and put them in front of me in line. From now on, Ill go to Fawcetts. Even if I have to order something from them that may take a couple of days or pay a couple of dollars more.

Best West Marine around. Came from Virginia to get sailboat electronics. The staff here is knowledgeable and very helpful!

Customer service via telephone was terrible. I was left on hold for 30 minutes. I decided to drive to the store to find my item.

This Annapolis location is horrible. Let’s start off after the greeting from the cashier when I entered. I asked for the location for gas caps - mind you, I’m a new boater so I didn’t know to ask for “deck caps” BUT no big deal. Once I noticed I was in the wrong area, I walked around and found an associate (young guy) and asked for the right aisle. I also asked for assistance since I didn’t know what I was really looking for and was told “They want me in back” ... wow, ok, didn’t know customers came second. However, he did offer to “send” someone over so I walked back over to the wrong gas cap isle to wait for someone. After several minutes passed, I walked up from to ask the cashier who greeted me if she could provide assistance for gas caps. She spoke with another associate who accompanied me to the correct isle. I told the associate I was new to boating and didn’t know what I was looking for ... this associate seemed put off by the many questions I was asking and didn’t really provide any guidance nor real assistance and kept trying to walk off. So, once he walked off, I walked over to another associate near the batteries and asked for assistance again and if he could look up the correct size that I needed. Although he did lookup the information, it seemed like it’s a bothersome process for employees to really assist customers.After purchasing and leaving with what I found out later to be the wrong part/size I didn’t bother going back to this store and urge other “newbies” to stay away as well. A training day is definitely in order for this location.

Covid has hit them good. Had a list of things to purchase came home with 1 item.

Very clean and nicely laid out store. The staff was friendly and greeted me when I walked in. The reason for the 3 star is no one in the store was very knowledgeable about boating. I was looking for a switch made by a well known vendor but they had no idea about it and didnt even try to look it up. When I asked about who may have it they said they didnt really know. Well when i went outside i asked a customer who was walking in if he knew where i would be about to get it , he told me 3 places. I deal with west marine every week as Im a marine mechanic but this was my first time in this location. Most of the location I deal with are very helpful even when they dont have an item . Customer service is my number one expectation

You can usually find what you are looking for at West Marine and the crew at the Annapolis store is knowledgeable and will be able to advise on gear and parts. The store also does rigging and splicing. Look for specials on bottom paint and cleaners. This particular store has a large selection of sailboat gear.

This is the big West Marine store in the Annapolis Chesapeake area. It has all the maintenance items you need plus a huge selection of clothing, life jackets, kayaks, SUPs, etc. If youre close to another store store (like edgewater) its worth a check for those things, but know you might have to make a trip up here to find it.

They have most of what I need for my Marine business just hope you have Deep Pockets

Horrible costumer service, there where 3 employees working during my visit. Two employees at the front desk and one working in the rigging shop. I originally came to look for electronics for a new to me boat had many questions and planned on leaving with two fishfinders/gps units and possibly a vhf radio. From the moment I walked in the door to when I left 35mins later not one of the three employees working asked if they could assist me. I walked around the store looked a few more items still no one asking if I could use some help. Finally I walked out, I am now unlikely to return and I am heading to Bass Pro shops to purchase my electronics and fulfill my other boating needs.

Check out the clearance sales for some good quality merchandise at great prices.

Bought a new fishing rod and reel from here without any issues. Tons of gear for water related activities.
