All of the one star ratings are completely deserved. Apparently this is the same owner of champions liquor too, same overpriced items and over-tipping by the owner/cashier. Bottle of smirnoff here was over $20 compared to being $13 everywhere else. My recommendation is a hard skip on this place.

To be completely honest, the prices here are inflated by a large amount. I can see the motivation since its the closest liquor store to the diag, but there are plenty of better priced liquor stores out there such as Campus Corner and The Beer Depot. As mentioned by others, their stock is quite often passed the freshness date. Their glassware also has a tendency to collect dust. The picture attached is an example: this 2L was bought on February 13th, 2020. Not much of a difference but this shows their tendency to not keep fresher products.I advise not using a credit card if you must buy something there since the owners will state one price and charge your card for another, usually higher amount. There are a couple employees who are kind and will not upcharge you, but the two older gentlemen, who I assume are the owners, tend to overcharge.

Went in to buy two single shooters of vodka, which I know go for around one or two dollars everywhere else. 8 dollars and change! Insane prices. Walked right out with the lady telling me everything is so expensive because they are in downtown Ann Arbor. You don’t even pay that much for a shooter in downtown Manhattan.

Would definetly not recommend going here, the staff was nice enough, but holy Jesus its an upcharge. Walk across the street to Walgreens or go down the street to campus corner, both are significantly cheaper. Jesus Christ it is never worth it to go here.Edit: after reading some other reviews people tend to have a similar experience. What I am more concerned about is the owner acting like a 12 year old in their responses to customers. I havent read such a rude interaction online since, well honestly ever.

I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. We went in yesterday and my boyfriend didnt even get a beverage because he saw expired drinks in the cooler. I purchased a Coca-Cola and after trying it, and the taste was off, I thought it was just me. I tried it a second time and then looked at the bottle and it was expired by 20 days. I took the product back and the cashier tried to tell me that it didnt expire until September 31st, I had to show his that it said September 3rd of 18! The cashier ADMITTED that it was expired and now that he had the returned bottle wants to claim it wasnt. If it wasnt expired then why would he have returned my money. $2 for a 16oz coke is ridiculous in the first place. He tried to say that I was trying to rob him and that I was the thief! Yea right, this place is so cheap that they are trying to still make profits off of expired products! So not only is the staff rude and unprofessional, but the place is disgusting(they have cockroaches). Be careful if you shop here. There is a reason why this review isnt the only bad one, they all are.

I’d avoid this place at all costs! I was in there today, and purchased a coke and a sunny d. When I left the store I took a drink of my coke and it tasted awful, that’s when I noticed that it was expired! So I went back in to report that it was expired and get my money back. The owner did refund my money, after he called me a thief! He should not be selling expired products, sounds to me like he doesn’t want to take the loss of discarding expired products! Sounds like he’s the thief! And from the reviews and low stars he has on this site, seems like I’m not the only one who had issues with this place! I will NEVER purchase from here ever again!

This place should be closed! Ignorant employees and owner(s).. Extremely high prices, and, get this, if u use a card, youll not realize youve been ripped off until later! If you must go here, pay CASH so you can see just how ridiculous their prices are! Thieves!! Just do yourself a favor and just pass this place up entirely!

You can get the same bottles of wine at CVS for 13 dollars cheaper. And the alcohol cheaper at Ride Aid on Plymouth. So this place is a little irrelevant. But great for late night walking distance to downtown peoples. But should consider to plan ahead to advoid these high prices.

1st off my girlfriend just wanted a pop that was not expired and for the price we paid I really dont blame her. Also by looking at the other reviews we are not the only people that have had issues with your store. For someone that has worked retail in the past Im kind of shocked on the way you treat your customers. Instead of trying to bully honest reviews of your store you should get off your a** and clean the place up a bit.

Despite previous bad experiences I went to this store last Wednesday.I was on the way home and I didnt feel like walking any further on the strange, icy sidewalks of that peculiar evening. I bought a 24 oz Icehouse an a 24 oz Bud Ice. I thought the sales clerk mumbled a high price but it was so high I thought I misheard. I looked at my bank statement yesterday--$7.95. Dont go to this store ever. Theres no prices on anything and this practice is intentional. If you do want to go there bring your phone (for filming) and the twenty-five dollars day in returnables that state law requires the store personal to accept from each customer. The fines for not accepting them may someday add up to the amount of money theyve screwed people out of.

Went in looking to buy some liquor, compared their prices against an item I happened to know state minimum price for, a 750ml bottle of chivas regal 12 year. State minimum price is $29.99, their price is $55. I know that sometimes stores will add a markup, but an 80% increase over competitors because youre selling to college students who dont know any better is pretty messed up.Edit: turns out the owner responds to criticism like a middle schooler by calling me a weirdo, and isnt very good at shopping for prices, claiming the best he found was 49.99, considering I have purchased that bottle for 29.99 at Buschs in Ann Arbor (see attached image of the price tag)
