John the technician was 5 star. He was very smart, but also polite and friendly. I’d definitely request him for the next service call. I took off a star because of the difficulty in connecting on the phone. There doesn’t seem to be email or webmail either. Also they didn’t call the day before to provide the service time as they said they would.

We have had service 5 times! And still we are left with a non-working refrigerator. The fridge cost $3k brand new and isnt even an year old. Whirlpool will not replace the unit until master tech reports to them that its not repairable. Master tech will not report this to Whirlpool leaving us with a non-working fridge that leaks water all over the kitchen. Not to mention ruining the kitchen floors behind repair! When ever we mention our concerns with the problems of the fridge we are told thats just how these units are, how is that an acceptable solution. Buy a brand new fridge and deal with the problems just because thats how they are.....

Rude technician. Took 5 weeks for tech to come out for warranty on new washer.Intermittent problem which the tech was aware of. He ran 1 cycle and it worked fine. He said it was most likely the board that needed to be replaced and he would order one. 2 cycles after tech left, the washer was full of water with the lid locked with an error code. Called the office a week later to follow up and they said I must have misunderstood, there was no board ordered, the service call was closed and they said to call Maytag and start the warranty process again. Would not recommend. Tech was rude and lied about ordering the board.

Was referred by a friend as I was trying to troubleshoot a dryer problem (not heading up to dry clothes). Visited several times and Bill walked me through different things that it could be. Of course, they could have pressured me into a service call or a specialist visit, which would have been much more profitable for them. Instead, Bill continued to provide guidance on parts and how to fix it myself. Eventually, I was able to repair the dryer on my own with the help of the staff. Overall, an incredible helpful and supportive experience from the Master tech team.

I had a really amazing repair person. His communication was fantastic and he did a great job, when he arrived. Thank you for turning this around. The worst customer service that Ive ever received, Bill, the manager proceeded to tell me that he couldnt give me a time frame on how long it would take to repair the broken fridge. This is after I waited three weeks to have the refrigerator fixed, the call center person let me know that their repair person would be running late. I let the call center person know that I would not be home, but the repair person could enter to complete the repairs. Three days later the fridge is having the same issues. I call Master Tech and was told the repair person did not enter for the repair.I am a type one diabetic, my insulin is getting so cold that its loosing its potency, the food in my freezer is freezer burnt so my two year old twins will not eat it. I let Bill the manager know all of this and he only wanted to argue with me. I asked to speak with his manager and he said he did not have one, then proceeded to say that he doesnt involve them in day to day issues. This is worst company in terms of communication and the manager Bill has awful customer service skills. Also, Bill I rerecorded our conversation so I have you yelling at me as I was voicing my concerns with you.The first tech that came to fix my dryer was incredibly pleasant. Its sad that the manager Bill had to ruin something that could have been a good experience.

Tried supporting a local business instead of using Amazon for a simple dryer part and kept getting told the part will be here on Tuesday coming from Montana, and then it was Thursday coming from Nebraska, and then I just gave up and ordered it from Amazon and got it delivered to my door in two days for half the price. This business needs to sign up for Amazon business where they can get discounted prices and still mark it up to retail.

Technician showed up at my cottage on time to determine why my stove and oven unit would not come on all all including over clock. He determined there had been a power outage (which there had) and when power turned came back on there was a power surge that “fried” the control board. He ordered another to the tune of 274.00. I told him I may not want it because I was considering replacing the stove (it was a decade old).He said I could refuse it if it came in. I went about a month not replacing stove. When I did replace it I needed to check to see if the socket took 3 or 4 prong plug. When I pulled the stove out to check I unplugged the cord saw it was 4 prong and without thinking automatically plugged it back in. Much to my surprise the clock lit up, the burners all worked and so did the oven. When I called Master Tech for a refund of my 69 dollar service charge they said “no”.They said that often happened. When I asked why the tech wasn’t able to make the same thing happen during service call I was told “this just sometimes happened and couldn’t be explained” - therefore no apology, no refund, no nothing. Will not use them again. Luckily I could return the 400 stove I had just purchased the day before. Very disappointing , low quality, unprofessional response as far as I am concerned. Would NOT recommend.

Called one more time and got through. No ownership by the service manager for following the manufacturers recommended diagnosis process. No need to get the codes. The motor was seized up First the motor was not seized up, it worked temporarily when it was put back in. The new motor never worked. I did the research and found out how to get the codes. The code says insufficient water supply or blocked water supply. Looking for another service, sadly. We have used them for 6 years without issue. This time they were unresponsive, bad mouthed the manufacturers representatives and chose not to step up and follow through.

Problem washer 1-1/2 years old, bought from big box store with 5 year warranty. Warranty co. dispatched Master Tech, took a week. Showed up, took a look, need to order parts, took a week. Showed up with 3 boxes of parts, was here for only 15 min. and then informed me the machine is not repairable. I get the impression he just doesnt want to do the job. They are to report this to the warranty co and warranty co will contact me. Its been another week and this report has not been made. Here I sit for 3 weeks now with a broken washer and stuck in limbo with the warranty because Master Tech doesnt do their job. Thank you very little. If Google would let me post this with a 0 star or even negative star, I would.

Could not be more disappointed. I was born and raised in Ann Arbor. I like to try to stick to local businesses when I can, which is why I called Master Tech when my freezer stopped making ice. The tech came out multiple times, never here for more than 5 minutes. Each time he would either hit one button to confirm there was no ice, or replace the ice maker. With the new ice maker, it would not make ice. He told me this was common and he had a defective one and would order a new one. Come out, replace it, then a week later come out and confirm yet again, no ice. This happened multiple times. Finally, he called the manufacturer. They told him to check the internal temperature. Turns out the unit was bad. I wasted almost $300 and a couple of months when he could have checked the temp on day one and told me I needed a new compressor. He said they wont work on LG compressors. He said I had to call the manufacturer. When I called Master Tech to complain, they told me they did exactly what I asked them to, repair my ice maker. I told them my original complaint was that it did not make ice. That is why I called a professional service to diagnose the problem. They said they would talk with the owner and get back to me. Never heard from them again. I called another tech service, and as soon as I told him it did not make ice and the brand, his response was It is a common problem for the compressors to go bad. Did you check the internal temperature? I would advise you use a technician that knows what they are doing, and can admit when they made a mistake. A refund of some of my money would have helped me feel a little bit better.

I am ECSTATIC! The Master Tech technician showed up as promised and took one look at my washing machine with the lid up and said, Yup, I can fix this. The switch is broken. Not even worthy of one star...a tech was sent out as part of a warranty repair...he showed up extremely pissed because he had to take a detour (about an extra 5 minutes) that he was unaware of. When he got to my house he tried to figure out the problem but was unable to so then got even more frustrated and told me he was just going to try to order a bunch of new parts and the warranty company would deny it anyway. He pulled into my driveway with this attitude. When we questioned his plan, he literally said “I’ve already wasted enough time on this because of the detour, you’ll just have to wait and see how the warranty company responds,” and then he just left!! He reported to the company that we had neglected and abused our washer and that the basement was flooded! There was absolutely no truth to any of his claims! And all because he had to drive an extra 5 minutes!! His supervisor “apologized” (for what that was worth) for his behavior but also made us feel like we were at fault for not warning of a detour! How are we supposed to know which way they’re coming from?!? Needless to say coverage was denied and now we are left to try to clean up this guys mess. Don’t do business with these people! Between the lack of knowledge and skill in diagnosis and the bad attitudes, they are sure to disappoint. Dissatisfaction guaranteed!

Ordered a new motor put it in same problem. Called the company asked for them to provide the fault codes, they apparently did not pull them when they were here. The service manager offered to get back to me the next day with how to proceed. He has yet to call back. Leaving yet another message today. Suggest you find someone else to work with who actually understands customer service. Very negative experience with the service manager

Technician hasnt even arrived to our home yet, however the attitude that I just received from the scheduler was quite rude. I was told when I telephoned in to have the tech come out last week that evening appointments were available, as I cant make it home prior to 5pm to meet a technician. So again, the man on the phone reassured me that this would not be a problem. I spoke with the scheduler in the office at 2:15pm, informing me that the tech was on his way to my home now. I said there has to be a mistake, as I specifically requested a late afternoon/evening appointment. The scheduler then tells me, NO.No one would say that.Me: Excuse me?? Im sorry maam, however, YES your co-worker did IN FACT say this. She then states well I dont know what else to tell you. I said what you can do is not tell me that I am lying and that I wasnt told this! Poor customer service at its finest.

I was charged $69 to diagnosis the problem which was that my washer was recalled by the manufacturer. The technician made this assessment as soon as he walked into my laundry room - and after waiting 2 weeks for him to come out. He was there for 5-minutes all of which was writing up the invoice and never looking at the washer.UPDATE: Thank you for your reply Master Tech. What the technician told me was that it was unfortunate the office did not ask for the serial number because they could have informed me that Samsung washers like mine were having issues - something the technician assessed before even looking at the serial number. I did provide the model and brand of the washer when I called.

Arrogant and dishonest when it came to admitting mistakes - several mistakes - that resulted in a long delay getting the appliance fixed. Then they covered those mistakes instead of stepping up. The tech wasn’t given the correct info about what to check on which appliance, so it was a wasted trip, then I was told it would be another wait because their techs had other jobs. No apology. No sending the tech back to the home he’d just left to do the correct repair. I’ve used this business for over 25 years, but now it’s very poorly managed. They don’t care about customer service because there are more jobs out there than can be handled by local repair shops. I’ll never hire them again.

I have been a parts customer of theirs for years, sorry I can not speak for the service side of things. They are always priced similar and sometimes lower than net pricing and generally have popular replacement parts in stock. On the rare occasion I needed a part asap, they gave me the part number and told me the name of a competitor that may have the item in stock if I didnt mind the drive. Giving out little nuggets of info to help me out and suggesting other possible fixed when the net & my knowledge are exhausted, Ill keep coming back. After a few rocky months of back and forth with this company, we came to realize why companies like this one, will have a hard time succeeding in the near future: rudeness, 0 customer service experience, 0 timely follow ups, and a lot more rudeness; then again, verifying their BBB status, really confirmed our experience; I really wish the idea of not giving a * by definition was already allowed when rating these companies. I do not believe it stands for any, and when it comes to respect, their employees should seriously consider revisiting Kindergarten & First grade moral focus. My sincere advice to those considering, and offered to work with this company, is to walk away! Your business as a customer is NOT VALUED with this company.

This was the worst company to deal with. They ordered some parts for our Wolf range and forgot others. It took FIVE visits before the service man got the problem partially fixed. And he was one of the worst, most obnoxious individuals to deal with. He talked to himself, loudly, the entire time he was in the house, making numerous trips out to his van for tiny parts he could have carried in at once. He dragged in dirt from outside, not wiping his feet. He charged for parts he didnt order, and never finished the job. He was rude to me, but not to my husband. This is quite possibly the worst business in professionalism and courtesy to its customers. If customers are the meat and potatoes of a company, this business should be starving! I originally had an appointment for a couple days out only to have, and at the last minute, the appointment canceled. I was rescheduled only to be canceled AGAIN. When I finally got an appointment the technician never came!! I was given a window of 12-5pm someone called me at 5 from the office saying the tech was on the way.. Im writing this now 30 minutes past my appointment window time. My advice to any future customers. .. keep looking for a company that realizes that the customer is an integral part of their very existence. Master Tech does not care about their customers at all.
