Writing again if there is anyone who can help us with info. It is sept 8 2020. Scott has alot of our flutes ..Michael hand made.. Scott was great to work with...once.. no where to be found now..And had alot of our property. We consigned with him.. We trusted him once.. we want our flutes back.. all of them.. and sales that have happened . If anyone bought a Michaelongrider flute from Scott in the last year ............ we never heard. You cant call the store either...the number a private line. Any help out there.eaze up up michaellongrider on face face book and share. Be safe you all.

Outstanding local music store - Scott, the owner, is very knowledgeable about instruments. You can rent instruments for lessons or school bands. He has instructors in different instruments and voice and also shares the space with others so there are art and exercise classes you can take there. My favorite thing there is the concerts!!! He has local bands and musicians come in for shows - all different genres of music.This store is so much more than a store - its a gathering place. I highly recommend it.

According to my friends, in the past this store has had issues, but for the past few years I have never had any trouble or dissatisfaction with this music shop. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, and the owner (Scott) is doing a great job with this business. I’ve bought mouthpieces, reeds, music books, and other small things from here and am always happy with not only price, but service as well.

I admit that in the past this store hasnt been run very well. However, there is a new owner who is really trying to turn the reputation around. He has expanded the showroom and put a lot more instruments on display. He has been trying to get more lessons for lesser played instruments such as bassoon and oboe and is very happy to order things for you if you cant find what you need on the shelf. Dont let these other reviews deter you. Its a good shop

Went in today to get my daughter a Ukulele. Great service and good selection. Was very happy with the informative owner. I will be renting my daughters school trumpet for Timberlane there in the fall!! Way better prices and great service!! LOCAL IS BETTER!!

I must say that this location opened their arms to my family. I have 4 boys and 3 of them are currently taking lessons here. They love it! They love their teacher and they love the store. Thank you guys for making us feel like family!

This is under new management, and Scott is great! He is very friendly, and helpful about all instruments, and interested in helping the Derry/Londonderry community. Jeff Prescott teaches piano lessons to my daughter here, and he is great with her. I highly recommend him! They offer lessons in all of the most popular instruments. I also bought my daughters digital piano from them and it was a great price and an easy transaction.

Always a pleasure to stop here. My daughter does music lessons and those are great, but the store itself, from the owner to all of the staff, have always made it a place I enjoy spending time in, with an excellent selection of instruments and accessories to boot.

I brought in a used clarinet we picked up elsewhere for my girlfriends daughter. Not only did Scott (owner/manager) only sell me what I asked for, he offered to play through the clarinet to see if it had leaks or other issues. He gave it a thumbs up, told me what might be needed in time and rang me up for the basic items Id requested. He even went into a clearance bin to save me money for an item I asked for.Scott is an experienced musician, which was obvious by how well he played the clarinet I brought in. He seems to love music and really be interested in helping others interested in it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. To say I was impressed would be a serious understatement.Ill definitely be back.Jason H

My step daughter takes piano lessons here. The owner Scott is a great guy. very knowledgeable with a very wide rage of instruments. I highly recommend visiting if you have an interest in learning how to play.

I have been going there for years and I was so happy when I found out there was going to be a new owner with bright ideas and great talent. Scott is a wonderful man. I brought my guitars in for adjustments. Scott and the staff at Smash Music were very helpful in keeping me updated on their progress, letting me know about potential complications. I was very satisfied with their work, and Ill definitely be doing business with them again.

Under the new ownership the store has a much better selection and very helpful staff. I am a musician and play in a local concert band. I highly recommend them.

I was waiting at the counter for several minutes trying to get some service, but the employees were too busy talking among themselves . They have good stuff but its a little pricey.

Great staff and selection in a great location!

This place is no better than with the previous owners. Ive tried several times to do business there without success. If you are an entry level musician, its mediocre at best. If you need something of quality - forget about it. The staff is extremely un-knowledgeable. Yesterday, I needed a speaker cable - I called and they said sure they have them. I swing in and they only have instrument cable. I could tell the guy had no clue what the difference was...thats it for me, never again. I really needed it yesterday and could easily have headed over to Nashua for GC. So, Ill pass by it every day twice a day and never will go back - not even for a set of picks!

I live in Los Angeles now but I made a mistake buying a Washburn from them and the Washburn company replaced it with a dynamite Augusta model...The people from Washburn advised me not to buy from them again...I lucked out despite the fact I left Cow Hampshire. I was living in Maryland and each year the neck would go out so after a few years each winter of dry times Washburn replaced the guitar now 11 years later I still used this the Buzz Feiton tuning pegs and all...Remember Washburn advised dont buy from them ha ha-I wont plus I live in LA.

We were not happy with the level of instruction, communication is poor, and some of the staff/management are rude/dismissive.
