Convenient location with an astounding selection of wine, beer and spirits. Super knowledgeable and helpful staff that will set you up with everything you need for a special dinner, gift for a friend, or the right amount of beverages for your outdoor (socially distanced) gathering. I’ve been impressed with how they shifted to curbside pickup and kept up with the volume now that most of us are having adult beverages at home. Ive been getting wine recommendations from Andrea at Andover Classic Wines for more than 15 years. Shes the best in the business! No better place to find boutique wines from small producers and uncommon grape varietals. Great craft beer selection as well! Staff is helpful every time I visit.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I dont drink, so I rely on recommendations. Everything they have recommended to myself and my spouse has worked well. Especially when it comes to wine, the variety can be overwhelming, but they are quite helpful. I also purchased liquor and mixers, not knowing any cocktail recipes myself, they gave good, affordable, suggestions for various items I wanted to make.

Went in looking for some different beers to try and walked out with a nice variety of Largers, Single IPAs, Double, IPAs, and refreshing day drinking selections, lol! If youre looking for a good wine for any occasion then ask for Andrea and for anything beer related look for Jared. They both spent time helping me stock up for the summer! While not exactly in my backgyard, Andover Classic Wines is worth the 20 minute drive (and really is pretty close to the highway.) Since March of 2020 I have been using the curbside pick-up, while still getting the expertise of the wine manager via email. Now, theres a new app for even more convenient ordering.I love ACW for their wines, but I also want to note that several times Ive comparison shopped the spirits at that big NH store and ACW is always in the ballpark. I had assumed smaller meant more expensive and I just havent found that to be so!

Amazing customer service! Andrea at Andover Classic Wines is my go to for recommendations. She never disappoints. She recently provided amazing Italian wine recommendations for a virtual wine tasting and Andrea Bocelli concert. Bravo to their entire team!

Great little gem in Shawsheen Plaza with terrific service and a selection of carefully chosen wines. Andrea and Steve are helpful and knowledgeable. Online ordering and delivery made holiday celebrations easy and safe.

This review is based on a single visit during a brief stay at Andover. The wine seems to be the focus so the craft beer selection is beyond expectation. I was happy to find some fruited sour and hazy IPA. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for microbreweries.

Just moved in the area and this is easily becoming my go to, Steve is super friendly and always has a smile on his face, very easy to talk to never mind the wonderful selection of craft beers, whiskeys and wine.

Andrea mixed us up some of our favorite wines (and some great new ones to try!) and then we used the new curbside service - it was quick, easy and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and responsible as they loaded it into our car (they were even wearing masks). Very disappointed with my last visit and I will not be coming back here. They requested that I remove my face mask while they checked my ID (in addition to running it through the scanner). Given the current situation, I did not feel comfortable removing my mask in public at. He put all of his customers at risk for making such an ignorant request. I will not support this type of business.

The store has a sign outside and on their site that says “curbside pickup” to protect customers against covid19 and gives you a phone number to call to order. Well, we decide we want curbside pickup cause we didn’t have our masks with us as we were not expecting to grab anything until we drove by. We called and a woman answered and said that she has no time to do that and that we need to come in the store. We mentioned the sign and she said, well I have a line of people. I don’t understand this. You guys are advertising curbside and then pretend like you have no idea what we’re talking about when we try to do so. Super annoyed by this customer service - should definitely improve this as we are people who want to protect others and ourselves during this scary time.

Ive shopped at the store several times in the year since we moved to Andover. Its an OK experience with a decent selection. My only gripe is my last experience which happened two weeks ago.I went in looking for Francis Ford Coppolas wine (our favorite). Walked up to an employee and asked where did they keep his selection. The employee corrected me saying I was pronouncing the name wrong. I know how to say Coppola, thank you.Ignoring the rude comment, I asked another employee at the counter if they had a certain wine from Coppola, his response Im a beer guy, I dont drink wine. Oh OK, I thought since you worked here youd at least have an idea. Good to know you take pride in your job.Needless to say Ill avoid this place if I can. Theres another store with friendlier staff, and a better selection, in the same shopping center as Market Basket. I forget the name but give them a try.

I just tried online ordering and curbside pickup. It was my best liquor store experience yet. I went on their website and placed my order and paid for it. I got an email within 5 mins saying that the order is ready for pickup. I drove down to their store, called them when i reached the store. Someone came out with my box of the order, i showed them my drivers licence from inside my vehicle (didnt have to roll down my window). They placed my order in the trunk after verification. Thats it! i was on my way home, seamless order and pickup experience in this COVID world! great job guys!

Great local store with local flavor. Andrea and team have made a real focus on wine over the last couple of years, with frequent tastings and a good mix of both big brand and also some small, organic/biodynamic producers brought by local distributors. In the spirit of keeping it local, they have kept room open for many of the independent brewers in the area with regular beer tastings, and also promote some wine-themed dinners with restaurants in town.

Got denied buying a bottle of wine at the age of 30 because the kid behind the counter couldn’t figure out how to scan an ID. Absolutely ridiculous.

The high price complaints in other reviews are nonsense. There are scores of reasonably priced wines that are carefully selected for quality and value. In fact, their strength is in finding hidden gems that deliver the sensory experience of high-end wines - all in the $11 to $20 range.Equally important is the customer service. Andrea knows us and our preferences. She infallibly recommends great wine-food pairings, so if you like to cook, get to know her. She even buys wines specifically because she knows we will like them! Many times I come to the store and hear, I got something that I know you will like. We always do.So how valuable is buying only wine with a trusted evaluation, versus picking by label? How much time would you have to spend searching for reviews by strangers to find a recommendation - only to be disappointed?I suppose you could save a few dollars by going to a volume store like NH. If it is worth it to you to drive 15 miles, consume an hour of your time, and be on your own to chance selection - all to save $5 - go for it. Over the years we have surely saved hundreds of dollars by getting to know our local merchant while enjoying great wines.One more thing: six- and 12- bottle discounts reduce the price by up to 20% on wines.

I have been to this store several times over the last two years. On the good side, they have a good selection of craft beers, wine, and liquors. However, I will only come back if there is not a single other store within 30 miles that sells the same drinks. The reason being that they are usually the most expensive store and will probably cost less to drive anywhere else and waste the gas money. A 6 pack anywhere else can be $7-8 they are $10-11 and a bottle of liquor has about the same difference in price. I will only buy something from them again if I cant find it ANYWHERE else!

A locally owned Andover liquor store with a vast selection of wines from Europe as well as the US and Australia. For those of you who like beer, they have a large selection of local microbrews and they even a selection of hard liquor as well. The staff is friendly, eager to help, offer suggestions for that perfect wine pairing or gift. They also have a center area of the shop that often has wine or beer tastings on Friday or Saturday nights. Its possible to miss since the shop is set back between Stop & Shop and Citizens Bank and Work Out World in the Shawsheen Plaza.
