#KeatonRocks #DetourSalon is the best I have ever been to in my entire life in 33 years I have been trying to find the perfect stylist ,That Stylist that you could just go in an you can show a picture to or just throw out a couple words of what you want and then hope to build a relationship with them to wear you can keep going back and then eventually you just sit in the chair and tell them to do whatever they want because they know you so well and I believe I finally have found that with my new stylist Keaton she is amazing and beautiful and has the best hair ever to boot she is amazing if I could rate this girl a I would there was a 50 stars I would give it to her she fix a crazy botched job where my hair was platinum in the back and unnatural blond on the side where the stylist at Studio 32 and Chesterfield Indiana bleached my hair two times in a row to the point where my hair was so damaged she couldnt even add bleach to it again because it would have destroyed it but she didnt even need to she was so intelligent when it comes to the scale that she holds with cosmetology and hair she was able to make my hair exactly what I wanted without even breaking a sweat and in a very timely Manor too I think I finally found my forever salon actually I know I have so if you ever thought about going here dont think run girl run because they will get you all the way right do even get me started on the clothes they are cheap prices but the best quality material and they are amazing I got me a few accessories and I saw a beautiful shirt a beautiful handbag I love this place and I cant wait to see you in six weeks Keaton

Called to ask about walk ins, was td they had several openings at the time is grt there. When I walked in, oh, im sorry.. all our times have been booked yet theres no one in the waiting area.

This place is great! I recently went in for a cut and color with Mady and I couldnt be happier! Everyone was super friendly and down to earth. I went in with a picture of what color I wanted to achieve and they talked me through what could be done and the different options I had. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. My hair is ridiculously thick and it ended up taking longer to color than expected, I felt really bad because they closed at 9 and they had to stay after. Most salons would rush through to get it done and close up, but Mady took her time and made sure it was done right! It was well after 10 before we finished up and the results were awesome! I really appreciated that they stayed after close that long! They went out of their way to make sure my experience was a good one and that goes a long way! I liked everything about Detour and will most definitely be back! I recommend this place to anyone, it is hands down the best salon around and you wont regret it! I appreciate everything they are doing especially in tough times like these!Thanks Detour for doing what you do!

Went in with dark hair that half of was bleached, wanting platinum blonde hair with dark roots. I was scheduled with Delanie Gephart (the shop referred to her as the blonde queen!) and she got my hair SO LIGHT on the first visit!! My hair still feels great and healthy after the bleach and I cant wait to go back for my next visit!

My first impression was that the salon was very clean and uniquely designed. Their retail area has a lot of different styles to choose from and lots of items were made by local artist . The staff was very polite and engaging. I was ready for something completely different but didnt have a clue as to what type of hairstyle I wanted. JB Shelton gave me suggestions on the type of style that would look good on me and tips on how to maintain it. She was right on point! have had compliments daily! I have already booked my next appointment and look forward to going back!

We had a great experience yesterday! Sean did an amazing cut and color on my 14 year old daughter. He was kind, professional, creative and he totally understood her as well as the look she was going for!!

I have to say before I go further with my review is that my wife does work here and before I sound Biased that my opinion is based on a 2 parts.First opinion (Before my wife worked for the salon)I’d been here a few times with my wife so that she could get her hair cut, colored and styled and she always left Ecstatic about the results. The owner JB was actually there a few of those times that I was and always made me feel comfortable and welcome and even convinced me to have a haircut myself and like my wife I left happy with the end results. The small company has given back to the community in more ways than one and it was hard to appreciate it at that time.Second opinion (my wife currently working)It’s hard to put into words the amount of time effort and studies that I continue to watch my wife utilize that this company offers JB ensures that every time there is an opportunity for further knowledge but not only my wife but all individuals that work for the salon have the opportunity to be involved.Now I can Recognize that mistakes are going to happen I can only give my personal opinion from my own experiences with that said I try to look at it with an understanding that everyone has a bad day not everybody is going to have the perfect customer and that can be difficult for all parties involved. There are so many factors that need to be looked at from how an individual on both the associate side and client side start and end a session. From a consult where final results are figured out to the payment of service. I’ve seen people of all attitudes while inside where they’re happy about what they got bragging and taking pictures before even leaving to people unsatisfied and paying for only the product that was used and nothing else. Again stuff happens and when you focus on the bad just know that it happens but what measures are taken to attempt the fix is what makes a company great. That is this company!So yes I recommend Detour Salon & Style and hope all will go and enjoy not only the excellent services offered to them but also the fun friendly atmosphere!

I absolutely LOVE Detour!! Not only is it an awesome salon but also a CUTE boutique! The vibe is so positive and kind! I went in for my first color service about a month ago and my stylist Keaton was able to ease my nerves and provide me with exactly what I wanted! I will definitely be returning in the near future!!

This is a team of people that JB has hired, committed to developing, supports personally and professionally to be their best professional selves. It’s an amazing atmosphere that is contagious. I always leave in a better mood. My services are always consistent. Regardless of how many times I’ve sat in the chair, I’m always asked about how I think and feel about my style and cut, do I want changes, etc. The service industry is hard, especially hair styling because there are many factors involved but The DeTour staff is certainly committed to client satisfaction.

My experience at Detour has been nothing short of incredible. The salons interior is amazing and clean and has so much to offer with product placement (with apparel and merchandise from local vendors from around the Anderson area). The owner and staff makes each of their guests feel welcomed and pleased. My highest regard and best experience is with Sean ONeal. My hair has never been treated with such care until I went to him. I’d always cut my hair at home or gone to sports clips. My girlfriend made me an appointment with a barber at DeTour before a formal event. I always thought my hair would look the same after any haircut but I was wrong. The barber went over different techniques with me and recommended Bosley products. Ever since then my girlfriend keeps bringing Bosley products home and we will always continue going back to DeTour! I even refer some buddies there.

I was a new customer so they assigned me a stylist (Courtney). Everyone was very kind and friendly. Courtney did a GREAT job! I loved the atmosphere and that the stylists were only working on ONE person at a time so I actually felt like I mattered as a customer. I will definitely be going back!

I took my boys on a whim because we had to get haircuts and they did get us right in. The customer service there is fantastic. Now the boys’ haircuts not so much. I kept saying I wanted a fade which she never did, as well as go shorter which she went a little shorter. We get home and my husband had to trim around the ears on both boys. On the top of 1 if my boys hair cuts half is shorter the the other and it’s right in the middle. For 18$ I would expect a superb haircut. Not a great clips haircut which I feel is what we got. A little disappointed because I have heard good things. I will continue to go to a barber for my boys.

Second visit was just as fantastic as the first! My color is fantastic(Sean), and the staff are amazingly friendly. Picked up a few fun graduation gifts as well! UPDATE: Sean has taken care of my hair for over a year now! It just keeps getting better!

It was my first time ever going to a salon and getting my hair done. After using box hair dye for a year... I got the grand idea of stripping it all out myself. #fail I absolutely botched my hair trying to do that. The two ladies that helped strip the dye from my hair and color correct it were so amazing and made me feel at home. The process was long and tiering, but they took their time and did such a wonderful job on my hair! I highly recommend Detour Hair Salon! 💇🏽‍♀️

Very nice lounge area with hospitality! But while getting my hair done we were interrupted by the desk girl to hurry up! NOT GOOD!!!! Hair dressers should never be rushed! Also the manager was walking by whispering to the hairdresser to use certain products on my hair in a secret manner...they seem to only want to sell me their products! The hairdresser was good but they acted like she was a beginner again not good for the customer!! I was disappointed, not by my hair but by the other staff!! I think this should be addressed for further reference

Sean O’Neal is amazing! I’ve been with him since he cut my hair in my kitchen. I stayed with him through beauty school and am still with him. I don’t see myself ever going to anyone else ever again.
