My friends recommended the place because they got two new rugs and pad for a great price. I went to Mill direct because I wanted a new rug and carpet. At the store I looked at some carpet and rugs. I picked a rug and set up an measurements for my house. They told me they would never add a pad with the rug. Calling my friends liars. When I picked up the rug, I asked if they had a military rate, and Joe said “yep, we are veteran owned, we can hook you up”. I thought the rug was good quality, I was wrong. The edges fell apart in less than 3 weeks and I had to take it back on my own time and money. It wasn’t like this was a 5 year old rug, it was 3 weeks old. I asked them how they would compensate me for my time an effort. First, Joe had no answer and mike didnt do anything. They didn’t compensate any time a money and continued to lie about provided my friends with a rug and pad. Their customer service is no existent. I will gladly take any business else to another companyDuring the whole rug ordeal, I had them measure my house for carpet. The individual that measured my house was great. He worked quick and did a good job. Following the measurement, I went back in to get an estimate. Joe, I don’t recommend working with him, lost my measurements. I picked out two brands of carpet to get estimates. I was written up for an estimate. I picked the one that looked the best at my home. I called the nest day and again Joe lost the estimate. I had to spell out everything again for the carpet I wanted and he gladly took my deposit without hesitation. Once the carpet was in Joe called to set up a time to install the new carpet. I called back, (I am on shift work and missed the call) Joe again lost my estimate and didn’t know who I was. I set the time for install.The workers that installed the carpet were great again. They were quick, clean, and preformed high quality.After the install I had to ask about the military rate Joe said they would give. He didn’t give me a good explanation of were the discount was and it was how it was displayed. I don’t care if they have a mil discount, but I do care if they say it to attract customers. I don’t know if there was a mil rate but it wasn’t evident and Joe definitely mentioned having one. Considering, Joe couldn’t remember me at any point I doubt there was a rate. It seems that he was just using a sales pitch.I don’t recommend using them. I hope the quality of carpet is better than their rug. If you use them, have anybody but Joe work you order. He will give you any pitch to sell anything.

If you want a company is childish, petty, unprofessional, rude, lacks customer satisfaction, lacks safety standards, etc. Then this is the company for you. If you want to be valued as a customer and receive the best quality service then look elsewhere.I am highly disappointed in Mill Direct Carpet. We went into the store recently and picked out carpet we wanted. We were planning to get our entire home carpeted. We were fully prepared to spend good money on this, and very excited for the process. We called to schedule and of course as this pandemic rages on we double checked to make sure everyone would be wearing a mask. We would of course also be wearing a mask to protect others as well as ourselves. We were told the guy that comes to measure would wear a mask if we did but that the guys that actually lay the carpet will NOT wear masks. When we asked why this is, we were told they do not have to wear masks because they have underlying health conditions. This makes ZERO sense. According to the CDC:People with certain underlying medical conditionsMost people with underlying medical conditions can and should wear masks.If you have respiratory conditions and are concerned about wearing a mask safely, discuss with your healthcare provider the benefits and potential risks of wearing a mask.If you have asthma, you can wear a mask. Discuss with your healthcare provider if you have any concerns about wearing a mask.The fact they refuse to wear a mask right now in this time is highly unprofessional as it is risky. This, in my opinion, shows ZERO care or compassion for any of their customers. If the workers that lay the carpet have health risks that prevent them from wearing masks then apparently they are not well enough to be laying carpet in the first place. However, we all know that is not the case. They just want to flat out refuse to wear a face covering and hide behind this as an EXCUSE. Makes zero sense that every person they have that can lay carpet cannot wear a mask. If an asthmatic person can wear a mask then they should be just fine. We have members in my household at risk of being around those that DO NOT wear a mask. So wearing a mask in my home when it comes to strangers coming in is top priority. Especially as this pandemic continues to rage on. I realize it isnt ideal. Nobody really wants to wear a mask, but we do what we have to do to keep ourselves and others safe. The response we were given to this statement was we could always choose to leave for the day. Im sorry but I do not feel the need to leave my home with others inside whom I have never met before and just take off for the day. Not only that but we are doing our best not to really get out and go anywhere right now. As I stated before we have a couple individuals in our home that is high risk so we must take every measure possible. My family has went through Mill Direct for years for flooring needs. We were excited to have them put carpet in our home. I will say, however, this is not the place for your flooring needs. I would highly suggest you look elsewhere. If you are searching for a company to install flooring that values you as a customer and a company that values your health I suggest looking elsewhere. This is not the place for you if you are seeking those qualities. Due to their unprofessional attitudes, lack of care, and the way they treat their customers we will be looking elsewhere for our flooring needs.UPDATE: Since I posted my review on here as well as facebook one of the workers has literally tried arguing with me back and forth. She basically ended up mentioning how business was thriving anyway at Mill Direct, basically meaning they dont need my business. After I posted a negative review, Mill Direct got so upset they had many of their employees and friends go on there to write positive reviews in hopes that it would overshadow my negative one. If this doesnt show you the level of childishness of this place I certainly do not know what will.
