I took my Mom to Audiology Associates a week ago and we had an amazing experience! Viola was very informative and explained the whole process on how she was going to test Moms ears and then explain what they could do to help her. My moms hearing was progressively getting worse over the last few years. I wasnt able to have a conversation with her on the phone and I was repeating myself 3 to 4 times each time we spoke to each other. At the first appointment, my Mom was able to try on her new hearing aids and take them home! We have had such great success so far this first week we cannot believe we didnt do this sooner! We will be seeing Viola weekly for a few weeks to fine tune the hearing aids! What a blessing! She can hear us all now when we talk to her, talk on the phone without it being on speaker, and also hear the lawn mower going across the street! After finding out that dementia and hearing loss are very related, I am so pleased that we found Audiology Associates when we did! Thank you so much!

The audiologist who did my assessment was very caring and compassionate, explained all of the issues I was having and helped me understand myOptions with my health insurance. I would highly recommend them!

I am a dental hygiene student who also has suffered from tinnitus as a result of hearing damage for over a decade and I made an appointment. Even before covid, hearing damage was a topic of recognition for dental professionals. Now, with additional evacuation systems used to mitigate aerosols, it is even more relevant. I found the exam to be thorough and utilizing different technologies. Dr. McCarthy is friendly and Cassidy at the front desk is very personable. They dealt with my insurance and I had a device fitted today so that I can hear my patients over the noise and also treat my tinnitus! The device is practically invisible and it connects to my phones bluetooth with an app that lets you customize everything. I recommend this office. Their hours are flexible as well which is always a plus.

These people are so caring. When I first got hearing aids I got them from Costco thinking it would be cheaper. Cheaper is what I got I still couldn’t hear. Then one day a gentleman came into our office talking to us about hearing aids and I was hooked. He gave me the information as to whom to call and told me they had a payment plan. I called and spoke to Viola about getting an appointment. I got an appointment pretty fast to see Ms. Elizabeth, what a sweet heart. She set me up with a pair of new ears and I’ve seen her probably 5 times. She’s always very nice and caring. We update my hearing aids - they even gave me a speaker that hooks up to my Bluetooth so I can turn up the TV on my hearing aids without turning up the volume on the TV. That way I don’t blow my husband out of the house. I still have a few problems with my hearing but I can definitely say it’s well worth going to Audiology Associates. If you can’t hear or having problem with your memory please take the time to go see these great people you won’t regret it.

I stopped in to Audiology Associates last Friday at noon. They were prompt from the get-go. Both the assistant and The doctor were exceptional. They took whatever time I needed to explain to me the process and were very thorough in their evaluation. I have had pretty severe tinnitus since 2005. They fitted me with a set of hearing devices that have changed things for me dramatically, already. Yes, they were expensive. Yes! They are absolutely worth it! YES!! My insurance paid 100%. For the first time in many years I could actually clearly understand what people were saying to me, even in public areas with background noise. The cost is for a four year plan. Well worth it in my book.The previous review was written a couple months ago. I’m am ecstatic about my new ears. Every time I go into their office for adjustments it is clear that they respect my time. You don’t sit in the lobby for 30 or 45 minutes and then sit in a room in back for another 30. Normally when I come into the lobby it’s about two or three minutes before I am ushered to the back where a doctor is waiting and it’s about a 2 to 5 minute process. In the beginning it took a little longer but now it is very short and I am out and back to my life.Thank you so much Audiology Associates.So here we are probably about six months from my initial fitting. I have been into the office several times to have adjustments made and make sure everything is working right. It always amazes me at how quickly I am taken to the back and immediately attended to once in the back exam room. Elizabeth is fantastic with her attentiveness and it is obvious she gets great pleasure with making sure that my life is better because of these hearing devices.I am a shooter and so having hearing devices that I can use on the range is extremely valuable. She did a custom set of molds that work through my hearing aids to make it where I can still hear people on the range but it closes down loud noises to where it doesn’t damage my ears or hurt. They are also useful on my Harley. As I am out on my job I am continually promoting Audiology Associates to my customers and anyone else who will “hear” it. Pun intended! 😎Worth every penny!

Had an 8am appt. Was asked to come in at 7:45 but doors were not open til 8. Other than that staff was nice and knowledgeable. They resolved my issue.

I have been to multiple audiologist’s practices in Alaska and have never had the quality of care and level of expertise that I experienced until visiting their office. Taking advantage of Audiology Associates free hearing examination was a first step to improving my hearing. Their in depth education of my problem and technical solution really spiked my interest. Doctor McCarthy does a great job for getting youre hearing aids even when they have to fight for for me. With that being said I think he is great. I went into this appointment hoping for help with my tinnitus, based on previous visits with other offices, I wasn’t optimistic. Several tests were done, very reassuring, everyone was very understanding and had better info and I left with a plan, a smile and future visits. Hands down the best Audiology Clinic, I was in desperate need of hearing aids and went to almost all of the office in Anchorage. I wish I saved myself the time and called Audiology Associates first. The front staff was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came time to book the appointment, I knew exactly what was going to happen before I even stepped foot in the office. The icing on the cake was the wonderful technology I was fit with, I am no longer isolated and Im finally myself again. I will forever be grateful for the staff at Audiology Associates!!!

Never fail to have the best service at audiology associates. Dr. McCarty and his daughter provide excellent ear care and it was nice to see a friendly face at local marathons. Also no one has noticed my aids behind my ears which was a big worry.

Great presentation by a credited and credible expert. A lot of vital information about how important it is to make sure our hearing is taken care of and the dangers of just letting it go. Fairly shocking statistics on the relationship between hearing loss and the increased probability of getting dementia in one of its many forms. My experience is positive and grateful I went to get my ears checked; I was very loud/ super sonic. I got my earring aids and what a difference. I can HEAR, first thing I grab when I get out of bed. Now I speak calmly and walk much better. Thanks Dr.

Information was great. Appreciated that speaker stayed around to answer questions. the room was difficult to see the slide show from round tables . It was a bit tight between tables. Perhaps speaker could have been located in the center on the side of the room. Food was delicious -- a nice addition to the symposium.

The office staff is cool. But they scheduled me for a 430 appointment and I’ve been sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes now. They last guy walked out of the back probly 10 minutes ago. And the doctor really didn’t say anything to me during my first visit getting my hearing tested even after I tried to strike up a conversation... all in all I should have gone somewhere else. Lesson learned.

Spouse saw Dr McCarty-he recommended $4000 hearing aids that spouse was expected to pay out of pocket. He pushed hard for these, even phoning me because I was really leery of purchasing them.Spouse eventually found out he could get hearing aids provided without co pay from VA. Pretty sure the docs are aware of this and anybody with a shred of integrity would have notified us of this even though they might lose a sale.

I received excellent care with the utmost professionalism. The office was very nice and the staff very welcoming s d made you feel at home. Not like a typical doctors office.

The people were fine. The price tag is unfortunate. It feels like extortion when a part that probably costs not more the a couple of hundred dollars to make costs over thirteen thousand dollars over the life of the product. That would amount to 10% of my social security benefit.

If not extortion, our experience felt pretty slimy. My spouse and I had concurrent appointments for hearing loss and tinnitis, hoping to find devices to help each of us. We both took the visual Cognivue test, and scored pretty low, much lower than we function in life. That felt odd. After chatting with the doctor and taking hearing tests, we learned that the practice sells a program for which clients pay $263 a month for 4 years for devices, parts, batteries, and office appointments. Apparently clients take the Cognivue test upon each appointment to show improvement with the program. This is from the FDAs description of the Cognivue:The Computerized Cognitive Assessment Aid is used only as an assessment aid to determine level of cognitive functioning for which there exists other valid methods of cognitive assessment and does notidentify the presence or absence of clinical diagnoses. The Computerized Cognitive Assessment Aid is not intended as a stand-alone or adjunctive diagnostic device.We left the office after a lengthy, unsettling, and quite disappointing experience.

Have been seeing Dr. McCarty, since 2008 year. He was very helpful in helping me with extreme tinnitus and hearing lost in both ears.From the hearing loss I couldnt go back to my employment. Dr. McCarty help me thru really difficult times. There was certain tests that could not be done in anchorage. I was flown out of state for additional testing. In the end, I received my medical retirement. Thanks to Dr. McCarty help,Im living a productive life. The staff there was very kind, helpful with my needs in getting the right testing done and hearing aids. Thanks again

Went in for complimentary hearing test. Never did meet or even see Dr. McCarty. Suspect he may be retired. His daughter did the testing and did acknowledge that she is not an audiologist. The large sound booth used at the start of the appointment was very old and the equipment didn’t work well. Have since learned that Dr. McCarty has NO Board Certifications, which is a concern. Curious as to why Audiology Associates spends so much on advertising—mail flyers, whole page spreads in ADN, etc., instead of upgrading some of their equipment?

I received a letter in the return mail addressed from a family member. imagine my surprise thinking i was the end of a family line only to have a letter arrive from another with my unique last name. i excitedly open the letter to find it is and advertisement from you. my hopes crushed i write this review. using people last name as a return address is a heartless thing to do. you ruined my day.
