Our new favorite breakfast spot!! We were seated in an adjoining room that had a selection of arcade games that you can play for free and a large screen TV on the back wall. The food is incredible and we even ordered a few items to go. The service was great, nice atmosphere and they served the food in good time. We took more time looking at the menu trying to decide what to eat. An A++, you must try, you wont be disappointed!
This is a great little diner, the food is good, coffee is decent and price is fair. Everything that was ordered had flavor and cooked to order. Me and some friends from the east coast all enjoyed the good food and good service. The inside is clean and colorful to give that old diner feel. I wish we had more good diners in Anchorage but Im glad this one exists.

A local recommended this hole in the wall breakfast/lunch spot to me, and it *IS* a great treat. The food is great, everyone I talked to had a different recommendation, and my Little Dipper Burger was served with gravy and onion rings - YUM. The service was excellent, and if you like Coca-cola memorabilia, you will totally enjoy all the careful collecting and display of large and small, old and new, items. I totally recommend this restaurant for the food and the service - total win.
We were looking for a great breakfast place nearby and noticed this little diner. A very welcoming and clean place. Super friendly staffs. We were seated and drinks served in a couple of minutes.The menu covers all classic diner dishes with a few twists such as reindeer sausage. As usual I ordered chicken fried steak as my go to in order to gauge the quality of the diner food. I elected for country potatoes and substitute the toast with their pancake. My partner ordered the unique reindeer sausage.Foods came within 10 minutes. They were hot and the portions were quite substantial.The chicken fried steak had a thin crunchy crust, thick and well seasoned juicy cubed steak. Gravy was creamy and perfectly seasoned. Eggs well cooked.Reindeer sausage tasted great but cant differentiate it from regular sausage.I am very particular with the pancakes. Theirs were perfect. Fluffy and chewy.Would come back for sure.

My son and I had lunch here today for the first time. Food was great, service was excellent and the place was jumping. Menu selections are breakfast and lunch, we had lunch and I highly recommend the onion rings they are fantastic.

Always amazing food , Ive been coming here for a couple years now on the weekends and I have to say their Omletes are so filling and flavorful. The French toast sandwich is also one of my favorite. And if you love Coca-Cola then this is the place to go.

Food was good and had a good variety. Service was good as well. But I probably will not be back. I noticed after other patrons left, the salt, pepper, ketchup, etc. thats left on the table, didnt look like they were sanitised or cleaned in anyway. The staff werent always wearing their masks in the back, but servers were in front customers. Also, every table was full when I left, leaving customers within 6 ft of each other without masks.

The food was good, as far as diner food goes. I had the Reuben, could have used a bit more thousand island (but I think that about practically every Reuben lol) at the time I was visiting though, the 50% capacity, social distancing clauses were still in effect, it did not look like they were socially distancing people at all, almost all of the tables were full, so Im glad I choose pick-up service. Id eat here again.

My second time at Little Dipper today! Wow, they did not disappoint - in service or quality of food! My husband was super impressed! We had originally gone to Cafe Amsterdam and honestly we were treated so rudely when we walked in that we walked right out and went out of our way to drive across town to Little Dipper. So very glad we did!My first time at Little Dipper Diner today - wow!!! What an awesome place! Eggs benedict was awesome! Everyone in our group loved their meal! Service was great, very friendly and welcoming! Would highly recommend!

Great little diner with really cool decor. There is a ton of vintage Coca-Cola memorabilia and a juke box. Not a ton of seating for larger parties.... definitely more of a cozy place. Staff was really friendly and very attentive. Coffee and water were never empty. The crab benedict (pictured with home fries) and original benedict were really good and the home fries were awesome! Generous serving of snow crab on the benedict. Very reasonable prices for Anchorage, too. Two people with coffees and walked out for $30.This place is a bit of a drive from home, but we will definitely be back! Definitely seems like they cater more towards breakfast, but they have a good looking lunch menu as well.
I had the turkey melt and my husband had a burger. Great lunch spot. Very clean and good service! Coca-cola nostalgia.

I had a sandwich and fries for lunch. Best service ever. She was so incredibly helpful and responsive. The turkey avocado sandwich was very yummy and the fries were perfectly cooked. I really love the atmosphere of this little diner and highly recommend it.

Ive been to the Little Dipper Diner numerous times, although only within the last year, and the food and service has always been good/great (not a single bad experience). Im sorry to admit to only recently becoming aware of the diner, for two reasons: I grew up in Anchorage (since 61/62); and I even lived in the relative vicinity several times over the years.I had also recently learned that the diner was in the same situation as Kriners during the recent C-19 lockdowns, but with much less public notice or press. I, personally, give great credit to the diner for standing up for their constitutional rights.
Home cooked breakfast is the best. Nice atmosphere clean and good service friendly.
If you cant bother to at least say Ill be right with you when someone is standing at the hostess stand for 5 minutes, who cares how the food is?
Only tried this once and service was super nice and fast. I got the breakfast bowl and it was yummy and highly recommend with bacon cuz theres already sausage in the gravy. Bacon had a good crunch to it while eating. Id come back!
A solid 5/5. The service is phenomenal, literally the second time I went there they remembered my order and asked if i wanted the same thing again. I always get the veggie skillet (its called scramble on the menu but i dont like scrambled eggs) and i highly recommend it. My friend had chicken fried steak when i brought him and he really liked that as well. Ive also had the veggie omelette which was killer as well.The atmosphere is very old school, coca cola vintage decor everywhere. If you dont like oldies music (50s-70s pop) bring earphones because thats all they play.Plus breakfast all day is always awesome. You wont be disappointed with this place. Also they have hot sauces but you gotta ask for them.

I love their chicken fry steak. I have been a regular since the business first started across the street from Koots many years ago. Then after three months of shelter in place, I finally got enough courage to venture out and ate my breakfast in the restaurant today. I loved the potato fry side dish; even the potato skin was so delicious. I also had a side pancake; it came with butter and syrup. I loved the texture of the pancake; chewy on the outside and fluffy soft on the inside. Chicken fry steak is a real deal; not from a pre- made frozen variety that is served in other local places. I thought that I must have gone to breakfast heaven today. This is the best breakfast one could possibly hope for, especially after the three long months of shelter in place.
The food was Verry good!!We had the Scramble made with Homestyle biscuits/gravy!! Yummy!!! The service was friendly and we truly enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere! We will be going again!!
Our experience was fantastic. I couldnt remember what our waiters name was but he had great customer service. We had thought we only had a party of 4 but ended up moving to 7, and they were quick to accommodate the suddenness. We all enjoyed, had a great time and will continue to be their customers.
I’ve had better service and food. It wasn’t even that busy when we came in however I don’t know how many employees passed us before someone sat us down. Another five minutes to get our menus and the wait for the food was a bit. Let alone our waitress took forever to get us our bill. It wasn’t until another employee noticed us finishing up that he came by and got it for us. Overall impression, meh.
I love diners, and Little Dipper diner is as good as they come. The food was fantastic. I love their burgers. Theyre super fresh and taste like a homemade burger from the grill. Weve made it a tradition that every time we travel to Alaska we stop here once we leave the airport. I would definitely recommend eating at the Little Dipper diner
Not a very long wait. Very nice atmosphere. Good prices for large portions. The food was very good. Its been years since Ive had a country fried steak that good. Its been 8 years since Ive had good grits. This place amazes me at every turn. Excellent service. Im definitely coming back for more.

Good food. Very clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Very much focused on a breakfast menu however their salads and sandwiches do hold up. Great place for a quick breakfast or lunch. Its hard to see in the strip mall and their sign doesnt stand out very well but worth the effort
How cute is this retro coca cola themed diner! It was meticulously clean and the food was great. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Our coffee cups were kept warm and filled. My only issue was that they serve home fries instead of hash brown.
The service was horrible and then they just came and put the check down without us asking that’s really rude to do especially since no one asked if we were done eating

A breakfasts and lunch dinner that closed at three daily. I had the Western cheeseburger, my wife the cheeseburger and the kids had breakfast for lunch with the 1x1, condition of an egg, s pancake and a piece of bacon. The sweet potato fries with my burger were crunchy and good. The burger was well prepared with onion straws. The BBQ sauce tasted out of a bottle but was not bad. Overall the meal was good and the price was right. Well hit it again when we are in Anchorage during the hours it is open.

Thank goodness that we asked the owner of where we were staying where to go for some really good pancakes for breakfast. Small little diner with lots of character, enjoyed our visit immensely. Portions are enormous. food is awesome. coffee is great. diner is 50s theme. waiters are friendly, and service is fast. was our first stop in alaska, and was great.
Best place for breakfast close by. Neighborly and friendly staff. Great menu and prices. This was a very nice experience. Except one thing. The bathroom smells real musty.
Sunday breakfast was great. Boutique type of restaurant. Small, quaint and wholesome food. Only complaint would be the toast was cold when it came out.
I saw this place on tv and had to try. Its now my sons favorite place to eat. He even took his cousin there. Large portions and great selection and service.
Pretty good. They are getting better and more organized since they were new. Not my favorite breakfast in town but it’s good. Not many options in SW anchorage but this place does the job. Hopefully they keep getting better.
This is an informal place that works hard to please their guest. The cooks take pride in serving food they they themselves would sit down to eat. My spouse and go 16 miles out our way to have breakfast here. My wife works nights so she has dinner there at breakfast time,they never mind it. Portion sizes are nice here. They have a senior menu and theres a nice priced special going on. Worth checking out!

Everything we ordered was good. Biscuits and gravy, reindeer sausage, French toast, eggs and home fries were all cooked perfectly and the hot chocolate was just the right serving temperature. The service was impeccable and the entire building immaculate. Were very glad we picked this place for our last breakfast in Alaska.
I took my husband here to try some place new for a change. I’m glad we did. Place was nice inside and clean. Food was delicious. Service was great. I’d rate a 5 out of 5 for a good breakfast place. You need to try it. Yum! Thank you.

I tried the senior meal, 1 pancake, 1 egg, 1 piece bacon. I figured Id leave hungry but the price was right. Out came a plate with a big fluffy pancake, a mound of scrambled eggs and a healthy piece of bacon. It was great!! I had a hard time finishing it all. As usual the service was great! And I still highy recommend the Little Dipper Diner!!
This is a beautiful tiny restaurant. Very cozy and well designed. The food was awesome. Nice variety and they have a couple of reindeer dish options. Great portions and taste. Will definitely come again and taste other choices.
Loved it good to table fast
Not sure why this place is so highly rated. We ordered some coffee and scrambled eggs.The coffee was terrible and the scramble was equally disappointing.If there were a reason for high marks, it would certainly be the quantity of food. It was a mountain of scramble. But then again, if it is not tasty, the mountain will be a difficult climb and reaching the summit will be next to impossible.If you want bad coffee and a truck load of food that you can devour, and ignore the taste buds, head here. Else, find some other place.
Service great clean place will go again
Ate here for brunch last Sunday with my fam & cousins. The atmosphere was very relaxed. A good place to bring little kids. The portions of food were good and everything was fresh. The home fries were amazing! There was a 5-10 minute wait, but most places have a wait during the time we went anyways. There was only 1 large table (which we occupied). So keep that in mind if you decide to go here. Their large table seats 8. Overall, a great place. Id definitely come here again.
