Pharmacy staff is excellent! Everyone so kind and helpful. Aaron took extra time to explain and answer all my questions. The photo print kiosk staff was amazing as well. Dug out a cord for me as I didn’t have one on me and, again, listened attentively to make sure I was completely satisfied with my experience. The store carries everything as well, and they have a great rewards program. I’ve shopped at most of the Walgreens locations in Anchorage/Eagle River and I find that this review could really apply across the board. It is nice to know that a large chain can provide such a high level of customer service across the board.They are also currently running a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network, a worthy cause that I am happy to know they support!

Called this pharmacy to correct a phone number they have for a Justin M. (Wrong number) the number now belongs to Jason P. I was on hold waiting to speak with someone for about 40 minutes! When I finally got a person! I asked her to write down to phone number so they could change it! She asked for Justin M’s date of birth! I don’t know Justin, therefore I do no know his date of birth! Was doing them a favor and her response was, «I don’t know what you are talking about!” And then she hung up! Oh well keep calling the wrong number, I guess! Have a nice day!

I was just discharged from the E.R. and was filling a prescription. The worker who took my Rx courteously and efficiently took my information (I live far away and am not a regular shopper there), and gave me a 25 minute wait time. There are chairs there for those who are waiting, but my friend who was driving and I decided to go get supper first and then return through the drive-through. With my insurance covering most of the bill, my unexpected cost was minimal. They were open until midnight! Excellent store for household shopping or for a few groceries or snacks, as well as Rx services.

The Rudest place in town. Unbelievable. This has been the absolute WORST experience ever.

It’s a decent location, and I believe it’s the only one open 24 hours or at least it was before the Covid. The staff are friendly and usually fast. The only reason why I didn’t give it five stars is because its not the cleanest parking lot, i have had to park farther away to avoid broken glass and vomit too.

Amazing! I called ahead, the pharmacy staff was hustling to get prescriptions filled before closing. This was the only pharmacy open. They squeezed my prescription in too. The PharmD was headed out to his car and came back into work to help me. His two more minutes of service kept my loved one from going back to the emergency room. Thank you!!!

THIS PHARMACY IS WITHOUT QUESTION THE VERY FINEST IN THE ENTIRE STATE OF ALASKA. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A GROUP OF MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS THAT ARE MORE CARING, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND WORK SEEMINGLY WITHOUT BREAK. I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT HERE, HAVING BEEN A HOSPITAL CONTROLLER AND IN THE HEALTH CARE FIELD FOR OVER 20 YEARS. As for ANY negative comments, most people going to a pharmacy just finished at a Doctors office and often feel bad/ill. All of the store associates seem to hate there job. Its not the customers fault that you make minimum wage. Have some professionalism.

This pharmacy is the best at wasting people’s time and overcharging copays. Every three months I go in and there is an issue with my prescription- they blame the computer, Premera, and other staff for the continued issues. My recent supply should have been $30 but has cost me nearly $50 in copays because of they way they’ve distributed them. If anyone knows an effective pharmacy in Anchorage, please advise.

Ive been sitting at the drive up window for over half an hour and no one has come to the window at all. Has happened on many occasions here. Its like theyve all got lead in their pants. They should work at McDonalds, they might learn to be faster.

This pharmacy has been the WORST!! They tell me my prescription is ready to pick up, then I show up and they say its not filled and that I need to call my doctor. They I did and care back cuz they said it was ready again.... and AGAIN, not filled. No one talks to each other, the staff was so rude, and it was so frustrating! I’m moving pharmacies as soon as I can. This has happened so many times. Not a fan of this Walgreens pharmacy

I was able to go shopping at fredmeyers across the street, walk into Walgreens pharmacy and do what I needed to do, then continue to wait for another 15 min being on hold for a total of 35min with one person ahead of me before I finally hung up the phone with no answer. Garbage ass service, but only place I could get my prescription filled and still be able to pick it up with what I do for work. Just go in. They will probably not answer their phone. The clerk once I was there was very helpful though. Service definitely needs improvement though.

Observed 2 employees escort a customer to the door and then ask him to take his hands out of his pockets before he exited through the metal detectors and, what do you know, nothing went off. Then after he left they announced loudly to customers in the line, thank you for not stealing, folks! When I asked them if the wanted to check my pockets, they were nowhere to be found. I am incredibly disturbed by the clear discrimination and disgusting public shaming enacted by these employees- I expect customer service to be offered to ALL customers.

Was that this store in August with my dad who has trouble walking he 79. Walgreens now closes their restroom said 8:00 p.m. for maintenance and under no circumstance are customers allowed to use the restrooms. We had to drive across the street to Fred Myers to use their restroom.When I asked an assistant store manager if my dad could please use the restroom because it was an emergency. She very loudly stated THEY ARE CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE then she Gave me a look like I was a total idiot. If the store needs 4 hours A-day to clean the restrooms while the stores open for business its not me whos the idiot.

We had one hour between flights and had to get a prescription for dad. They got it processed super fast and were friendly in the process. All on a busy holiday when the other pharmacies were closed.Way to go!!!

Ive tried getting medications from Walgreens a couple times now. The last time I used Walgreens for my medicine, I called to get a timeframe on when theyd be able to dispense it. I arrived at the time they specified, but it took over half an hour to actually get it once I arrived because they didnt actually put the order through. That was about a couple years ago, so I thought Id give them another chance.This time, the person entering my information messed up and that apparently locked them from being able to dispense my medication. Now this is all conjecture, because when I asked what went wrong, they didnt tell me and just said to wait for a text message. When I asked for a timeframe, they just told me to wait for a text message.Do not ever use them for a pharmacy unless you absolutely have to. Ive never had an issue-free time when Ive tried to get a prescription filled with them.

We just tried to return some items after we seen that we were overcharged a few times at a different store. This being the 24 hour location, we came here. Mel, told my friend no, she needed to go back to that store. I looked up the store return policy and it says any Walgreens will accept returns. I walked in and relayed the store policy. She said she didnt want to do it. This lady is flat out lazy. We then went to the photo desk, Mel insinuated I didnt put in the order for this store. She complained the whole time. I grabbed someone else, and that employee found all the items IMMEDIATELY. This lady has no business working here.

CAUTION: Do not buy gift cards from Walgreens. I bought two $25 iTune gift cards and the cashier gave me a receipt for both cards. Unable to redeem one gift card because cashier did not activate the card. Walgreens refused to honor purchase (I have receipt). Walgreens pocketed my $25. Very poor customer service. Beware!!! Getting receipt not proof of activation.

Historically speaking, I have loved this pharmacy (here at Walgreens). For the most part the staff have been courteous, kind and helpful. However, recently I have left feeling like I have been beaten up by the school bully and slandered upon . If you have symptoms that are stress induced I would try this pharmacy out with a script before making it permanent.

HORRENDOUSLY SLOW SERVICE at the pharmacy. Long story short: Just send your prescription to any other pharmacy besides this one because I waited 45 minutes to be serviced and they still didnt have my prescription ready when it was sent to them 6 hours ago. If you want to hear about the entirety of my ordeal, continue reading: Arrived at the drive-thru with 2 cars in front of me and it took 20 minutes to service them, which I didnt mind because Im actually pretty patient. But when it finally got to me, I sat there and watched the employee service a customer at the counter, and then another customer... which is fine, I figured shed definitely come to me next. But then she served ANOTHER customer at the counter (Ive been waiting about 30 minutes by this time), so I pressed the call button outside. I figured maybe none of the three employees that I can see through the window cant see me... which they definitely can but I was just trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. NO ONE ANSWERED FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES. I can hear their phone ringing behind the window, and watched them ignore it as I sat there. Then someone finally answered and said theyd be with me shortly. I said okay. But of course, it took another 10 minutes before anyone came to the window. And when someone finally did, they looked up my name and said they didnt have anything for me yet and to check back in an hour. I asked politely for them to check again because my doctor sent them the prescription 6 hours ago, and her response was that theres a lot of stuff in their inbox. The Lake Otis/Tudor Walgreens had my prescription ready within 30 minutes of my doctor sending it to them ON RUSH HOUR ON A MONDAY (which is one of busiest times for a pharmacy). World of a difference.

In town visiting family - the pharmacy was able to help me when I had forgotten my meds at home - they did great.

When Walgreens first came to Anchorage, I anticipated a decently run drug store. I mean, like a real drug store. Like Longs Drugs used to be, only on a smaller scale of course. I was actually somewhat excited about it! Well, imagine my disappointment having shopped only about 3 or 4 of these stores. Honestly, the employees here, and at every other Walgreens store in general, look as if they are gearing up to audition for a part in The Walking Dead. I have just one question: Why do we have these messy, poorly run stores practically on every flippin corner??? Just wondering!! Oh, I gave one extra star for offering a few items that I buy on a regular basis that no one else in town has.

Absolutely the most terrible customer service Ive ever had in my life! I was waiting for a prescription, and my friend had given me a list of things to price out for her while I was there because she is elderly and cannot get around well. I get accused of stealing by the manager, who promptly met me at the door asking for my receipt. she looked in my bag and I even volunteered to show her my purse contents. She didnt apologize or anything for her rude behavior at all. Every time I come to this location she is very rude, stares me down if I even move from the pharmacy area, and is just nasty to people in general. I do not recommended this pharmacy to anyone at this time.

My husband was in surgery so I ran over to get his prescription filled. Was told 15 to 20 minutes, it took over an hour. I was the first person in line and saw lots of folks come and go. Would not recommend them.

Pharmacist is a complete jerk. He is ridiculously rude and oversteps his boundaries. The medications I take, I have taken since I was a child. The pharmacist here seems to think hes a doctor and that can diagnose me in telling me that he is going too report me and my doctor to the DA. He first gave me a wrong name when I asked for his and he proceeded to hang up the phone on me. Not to mention I called the corporate office to report him and had a very wonderful lady on a three way call. We called the store to find out who the pharmacist was that was working because there was no John in the system for pharmacists at that location. The girl who answered the phone had no idea that I had corporate on the phone so she was absolutely no help. I asked who the pharmacist was and she blatantly sayI dont know I dont work in the pharmacy. The HR rep spoke up and said do you think you can go back and find out. Boy did she change her tone. Found out the pharmacists name is Joseph btw. Worst experience Ive EVER had with Walgreens. Im from Charlotte, NC and we have great Walgreens there. What a shame!!

Worst pharmacy ever!! Took an hour for the tech to tell me my prescription wasnt ready yet. And then I was supposed to get only one medication but ended up getting an extra prescription which I didnt take with me. Avoid this pharmacy. Its terrible.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy I have had the misfortune of dealing with. They told me they transferred my prescription to Fairbanks (they had no idea why) and my every time I go there is an issue with my insurance. The only issue is that they waste your time making you give them the same info they should already have.

If you wants to do a return of a merchandise, I wouldnt prefer this place. Even the managers are very smart (cough cough sarcasm).

Jeff in the pharmacy was so rude to my elderly mother on the phone, he had her in tears and then hung up on her! I spoke to his manager but I doubt anything will be done. Hey Jeff, if you cant handle an elderly person thats hard of hearing and yells then youre in the wrong profession buddy! What do you do with other impaired customers? Do you treat your grandmother that way? Your mother?

Worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. They will leave you on hols for hours- literally-HOURS and then hang up on you. Even when you show up in person they are slow and shockingly incompetent. We stopped by this location to purchase a few items totaling over 100 dollars. A Friend that was with me ask to use the restroom and was told all restrooms are closed for Covid. The staff was a little rude.

The cashier was rude. Then I went to the photo booth (she was very kind) and was told I had to download the app to print my documents, the whole process took 25 minutes then she apologized and said they didnt print documents. I felt they dont know what they were doing and I dont want to ever go there again.

As most have said Ive been sitting in this pharmacy line for over 30 mins now. With only having two cars in front of me. No greeting where they say hey how are you. Or this might take a few. They need to be retrained. So they can be a better advocate to there community. Espically since there the only 24 hr pharmacy left in mat-su valley and anchorage.

Wish I could give zero stars to. This pharmacy is probably Alaskas worse pharmacy. I have had multiple mess ups of my medication. I was even given the wrong type of medicine and it took me by surprise when I took the meds. All I got was an apology and a hey your medicine is on the house. This pharmacy always has a wait and the employees lack any true customer service skills. Get your act together Walgreens cause this is unacceptable.

Fast, got my stuff when they said it was available. Short line. Pharmacy is understaffed and theyre all very clearly trying to get your prescriptions to you as fast as they can. Answered basic medicine questions without hesitation and accurately.Previously, I was pissed off that their 24 hours pharmacy was closed and I had to go to ER for meds, but learned that the staff for that night was involved in a car accident and fully understand how that can clearly impact someones work shift.

Dont bring the kids here. Bathroom locked at night due to drug addicts getting needles from the pharmacy at all hours of the night.
