I brought my motorcycle riding suit in to get ready for cold weather. They did some technical zipper repairs and sewed up some damaged areas good as new. Friendly prompt service and the price you as very reasonable. I highly recommend!

YES, YES, YES!!! This IS the place to go! They made me a very happy girl! Im getting married in several months and bought a secondhand, designer wedding gown a couple of weeks ago. Soon after, I became very worried that my hasty decision to buy a used dress was a poor one... The girl who wore it before me got married 6 months ago and had never cleaned it. The dress was very dirty - I mean nearly black on the bottom 6 inches of the dress. I took it to several local dry cleaners and they told me that the material of the dress is silk and they wouldnt be able to get it out, especially since the stains had been there for a while. These other cleaners almost convinced me to have them alter the bottom and then clean it for me, which was going to be very pricey and just didnt feel reassuring. I really didnt want to have to alter the gown. My friend then referred me to the place she uses regularly, Urban Cleaners. She said that 3 of her friends have taken their gowns there and were super happy with them. I hadnt even heard of the place, so I thought Id pop over there and check it out. As soon as I walked in and saw the kind faces there and the number of gowns ready for pickup, I felt confident leaving my dress with them and knew that they know EXACTLY what they are doing. So, I picked up my dress last Thursday and was filled with so much joy when I saw it! They had cleaned it SO beautifully that I didnt recognize it at first! The dress was sparkling white and the silk looks & feels so nice. I no longer feel any hesitation, because my gown looks like BRAND NEW!!! This place and the people there are TRUE GEMS! THANK YOU URBAN CLEANERS! I cannot wait to wear this gorgeous gown on my wedding day!!!!

Brides Beware!!!! Do NOT take your wedding dress here...chances are you will NEVER see it again!! I took my dress here before my wedding to have it cleaned and steamed and they charged 85 dollars which I thought was expensive to clean something that was brand new! So after the wedding I took it back to be cleaned and boxed. (The old senile man who works there asked me to leave my jewelery, purse, gloves, garter, etc along with my dress and two veils so they could all stay together...I was hesitant, but figured they were trustworthy). When I went to pick it up, they said it was 300 for the cleaning and 600 for it to be boxed! I was outraged! I asked them if I could take my personal belongings back and come back to pay for the dress at a later time when I could come up with the money which is stupid because all they did was clean it and they even said it was barely dirty along the ends! They said I couldnt have anything back because it was their property now and that if I couldnt pay they would sell it on ebay! These people will rip you off! They are heartless and greedy! Do not give them your business. People like them deserve to lose their business and go under! And that is my wish on them. Hopefully this post will deter any other poor unfortunate bride from having this same thing happen to them! Heed my warning! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!

I work across the street from Urban Cleaners and found out that this place does pick ups at my work place for $1.10 per white shirt and $1.45 per colored shirt. I thought to myself: reasonable prices and I get to save some time, why not? Boy o boy did I make a big mistake. For the record, I had 6 white shirts and 2 colored shirts, so I was expecting to pay $9.50 plus taxes. However, when the shirts came back, I got hit with a bill for $24! I called Urban Cleaners and Mo, the owner, answers. The reason he charged me extra, he explains, was that they had to do extra work to clean the stains. What stains, I ask him; the stains on the inside of sleeves where they had to spray some solution on. Mind you, its not like I work at a dirty building, I work in an office environment and the inside of sleeves may be dirty from leaning on the keyboard, but thats about it. On a scale of 1-5, 5 being complete stained, the inside of my sleeve was at most at a 1.5.Even though this is the first time I have ever heard from a cleaners that they charge extra to spray OxyClean because it should be normal procedure, I keep my cool. I then ask him whether he thought about calling me first and letting me know that the price was going to be 150% higher? Mo then said, fine, and proceed to drop the price down to $16. Him dropping the price was nice, but it almost seemed like he knew he was trying to rip customers off and hope that they dont catch it. Moreover, I didnt quite understand the logic why its still higher than the $9.50, but I told myself just to learn from this mistake and not return. This morning when I uncovered the plastic bag to wear my white shirt, I found out that the sleeves were still stained. Worse, it was actually more dirty than it was. It seems that whatever he had sprayed made the stain spread from the lining into the rest of the sleeve. And now, on a scale of 1-5, its easily a 3.5 to 4. I checked all the white shirts, and realized that he had ruined 2. I was not happy.I took the shirts back to Urban Cleaners, and showed Mo the stains. In one glance, it seems that he quickly understood that the sleeves were actually worse than before. And instead of taking it back to re-clean, he proceeds to tell me that my shirt wasnt as clean because it couldnt go through the new machine he just bought for $42,000. And the reason that it couldnt be processed for the new machine? It was because my shirts were too small. He holds up an XL shirt and tells me thats the normal size. The conversation turns more ridiculous since Mo was blaming me for wearing a Medium, and that I should be fatter and wear bigger shirts so that he can fit it through his new $42,000 machine. It was a scene out of Seinfeld. Before I walked out, I asked him whether he would take the shirts back to re-clean, since they messed it up in the first place. And the answer? NO. Mo said that in order to clean the stain, he would need to charge me $8 per shirt because he has to do it by hand. This was when I told him I would review him on Yelp. That seemed to hit a hot button because he got really angry all of a sudden, and told me to get out. Maybe he had similar experiences with fellow Yelpers? Come to think of it, this was probably the best business idea... mess up customers shirts, so they can charge the customers more for re-cleaning.In short, quality here is extremely disappointing, and with the F minus customer service and overcharging, I will never return, and I will tell all of my coworkers about my terrible experience.

I went to Urban Cleaners for the first time and dropped off my cleaning. When I go to the cleaners I normally take a lot, my old cleaners would cost me around $60-$80 depending on how much was brought in, I took a small amount to Urban and they charged me $140. The guy working there was saying thing to my 7 yr daughter which made her very uncomfortable. I will not return.
