This place was off the chain!!! So so many fabrics and notions... A true one stop shop. Perfect just to browse and feel everything when youre new to sewing and fabrics. Helpful staff although its hard to pick them out, lol. Regular clothes and no name tags... I was afraid to be that person that asks a regular non employee hi do you work here?! So I let my feelers do the work and figured who was buzzing about and shed for help 🤣🤣🤣Its so big. Big. And theres an entire backroom of more knits and stretchy and specialty fabric... Its TIGHT back there. Physically. You can barely maneuver around with the cart. I saw people going in and out of there but it wasnt until I asked that I realized it was additional floor space and fabrics to choose from.All worth it!!! I loved it. Went on my lunch break.. definitely need more time.If you shop online youll find these fabrics generally beat say, fabric.com prices. But not in the sport teams the fabrics.Overall most fabrics were under $6 a yard. With a bargain wall of deeply discounted ones.

This is by far my favorite decorative store in Orange County! I literally searched every store in the County for decorative cords and found this spot to have the largest variety in size and color. Additionally the sewing utensil selection blows others out of the water. If it were not enough to have a variety this store also likely is the biggest fabric selection available in the area! I was blown away with the options and for a warehouse of so much stuff they are ALWAYS clean, orderly and the customer service is on point. I would think that would be enough but then they pleasantly surprise you with the most cost efficient prices around and the quality is reliable! Now I dont shop anywhere else for my textile needs.

My wife says almost every day. We made a trip to Anaheim to visit m&l and she spent several hours just fine fabric. The variety is good and they have plenty of help. The prices are very competitive. Worth to stop.

They have large selection of fabrics like a warehouse. However, most of the things I purchased are more expensive than other places I had been. For the same spandex fabric, I bought it in San Jose for $8 per yard. Here, its $11.95 per yard. The big thread rolls in San Jose was $2/roll, the chiffon was $4/yard. Here, they are all higher. Living cost in Southern CA is less than in San Jose. I expect they are cheaper. However, they are not.

Plenty of parking with handicap spaces, observing social distancing👍 employees very polite and helpful. I was disappointed the website showed prices much much lower😲!! Yes there were fabrics priced @ $3.99 off to the left & at the back of the shop but not the new beautiful prints. The beautiful fabrics I liked were $10 to $13 a yard, with a minimum 1 yd buy. all cuts must be an increments of 1 yd !! If visiting California I would definitely pop in again 👍👍

Wow. Like real wow. Amazing selection. Both off and name brand fabrics. Super variety. Prepare to spend a lot of time looking at everything. Workers can be a tiny bit gruff but they are friendly and helpful.

I wish they were open a littler later. At least 6pm. I got out of work from 3:30pm from downtown L.A. to try to make it before 5:00pm. Unfortunately traffic is back to normal now in L.A. I get there at 5:02pm people are still being rung up and I’m not let in. It sucked- I even told the lady I already knew why I was coming for. She said come back tomorrow before 5pm. Well I guess I’ll stick to other fabrics stores that are more flexible with their hours.

Great fabric, great prices especially on cotton. The have a flat fold section for $3.98 a yard. A large print section from $5.98 to $16.98 depending on width, and popularity. I love it there!

Visited today for the first time. I was excited to such a huge selection of fabrics and prices seemed to be reasonable for what I needed. Guest capacity was being limited for social distancing however if you are leaving a cutting or pay line be prepared to double back through the people waiting in line in a tight space. So hurry and do not linger to avoid bumping into someone. Three star rating is for the Staff wearing a peach blouse with a matching color mask. Not being familiar with how things are logistically in the store I came upon stacked fabrics and found one I liked. I was showing it to my daughter when this lady grabbed the roll of fabric from my hands and rudely said to me this is our work area. Apparently she was returning the stacked fabrics to where they originally came from. It didnt make sense to me for someone to grab it from me since I can take it to the counter myself. And I really felt as if my sense of space was null. She came too close, so much for Social distancing. Have to mention though that at the pay line, the gentleman on the other side of the counter was very cheerful and knew how to treat customers. Word to the owner, please educate your staff. With or without a pandemic its never right and absolutelyrude to grab something from a paying customer.

So many choices! Flat folds from2.98 a yard to designer yard at 10.98 and up, you should be able to find anything your hearts desire as far as fabrics!

Great material, fabulous selection. Best batiks anywhere, flat folds are a terrific bargain, and the Asian fabric is beautiful. Great selection of white fabric....I could go on and on. I wish it was closer to where I live, but on second thought, maybe not. You can usually find what you’re looking for. Oh, and did I mention the great selection of 108” fabric for quilt backings? My happy place for sure. 😊

I have to say if it wasn’t for the fabric and only the fabric M and L would be closed. The staff is horrible!! A group of people that hate there job. The only reason people continue shopping there is for the reasonable prices and variety. As long as you don’t have to interact with staff your ok! Once in a blue moon a staff member has a good day and will be nice. (Don’t hold your breath) if the staff would just pretend to be happy and nice for the 5 hours open it would be a wonderful place.

The crew arrived at 7:30 this morning and by the time I got home from work the job was done. My new fence looks fantastic and my garden is spotless. They did an excellent job and I couldnt be happier.

They, along with their sister store, Jennys, in Huntington Beach, are the only place to shop for high end - Moda, Hoffman - fabrics. Plenty of discount flat folds. Beautiful fancy and wedding fabrics and trims. Killer sales twice a year.

Have shopped here off and on for years. Its a drive from El Cajon but you can find a lot here. Do not take guys with you if they are not shoppers, it tends to rush you and you need a lot of time to see everything.

This is one of the fabric stores that did not take advantage of people. Thier rices basically stood the same with few exceptions. Being a costume maker i was very pleased that they did not raise thier prices falsely like all the other fabric and craft stores. I am still able to stay in business because of M & L. Otherwise i would have had to shut my doors. Fabric stores raised thier prices at least 110% others more. To make a simple costume that i charged $45 for i would have to charge at least $100. In order to make a $15 profit. That is hardly acceptable. I am disgusted with how the fabric and craft stores have done this. But not M & L they are one of the good establishments Who are honest hard working people. Thank you M & L i will always buy from you.

I love this place. I like the variety of fabric, the customer service, and the sales. Only, there is to much people at the same time inside the store. To crowded for the pandemia we are going through right now. I would shop more often if it wasnt that crowded. People doesnt go in and out that fast. They take their time mostly shopping inside.

M&L Fabrics is a great place to shop. The first time I visited, I said, Wow, I hit the Jackpot! Its like a marvelous Fabric Candy Store! Huge variety, quality merchandise, top designers, very reasonable competitive prices. Staff is friendly, helping and knowledgeable.

Extensive selection. A little overwhelming in some senses. Im not sure the thought process on how they group the fabrics by color, theme, format etc. I think I prefer their Fountain Valley location for my needs. Not a prolific seamstress.

Prices arent super cheap, but this place is HUGE, like a warehouse of tons of fabrics and you can find all kinds you need. They have many rolls of same patterns. Its a good place to find solid colors, old style patterns, etc. Wrird hours though, Mon - Sat 10-3 only.

A huge variety of fabrics and notions in a huge store! Their quilting cotton collection is extraordinary, and I doubt theres a type of fabric you cant find here. They have great prices, and twice a year they do a big sale where the entire store is 20% off! Go when you have plenty of time to browse - theres a lot to see! Have fun!! Highly recommended.

Rude staff. Older building. Great variety of fabrics. Prices on popular fabrics are hardly discounted by $1.00.Most discounted fabrics are discontinued fabrics priced at 2.99 yd and up. I came for popular fabrics left without any. They wont sell on line or ship you fabrics. Their sister store Jennys is a scaled down version of M&l. Not worth me going back.

Love the selections especially the trims. Its my first go to place. Prices are great on the pre cut fabrics... stuff on bolts not so much.

Be ready for a major stash enhancing experience. Definitely check out the flat folds because some of the yardage thats out in the store on bolts can also be found for cheaper as a flat fold.

Yesterday, I went to M&L Fabrics specifically to get 2 yards of a fabric that was needed to complete a quilt. I couldnt find it however, a sales lady was able to find exactly the fabric I needed. Every time I go there the help has been awesome. I love this place.. excellent prices...high quality fabrics.

The back area had a small selection of holiday fabrics. The lines were outrageous! The prices of the regular items is higher than JoAnnes with sales. Not what I remember from years past.

We have to drive over 2 hrs to run errands in Orange County. We made the drive and one of our stops was M&L Fabrics. I was very excited as I had read and heard of their prices and selection. SELECTION: is FANTASTIC! They have everything in the world you can think of for a sewer. Fabric (all types and colors), lace, cording, buttons, thread, etc. You name it, they have it! PRICES: NO true deals, the prices were ok, the section with the precut fabric was closed. CUSTOMER SERVICE: They do not know what that is! the lady I got at the cutting counter was not friendly and acted as if she was doing me a favor cutting my fabric. Another lady came up and needed addition help so the ladies cutting fabric switched, the lady cutting her fabric started helping me and the lady cutting my fabric started helping her. WELL this new lady was worse! when they switched back she just threw down the pen and said something and they had to sort was they did. As they were speaking in Romanian, I just stood there hoping they charged me correctly. Will I go back, maybe, if I cant find another place with that selection because the prices are just ok. I rather pay a more and feel they are happy to have me there as a customer and I am not intruding. This was my experience there yesterday.

M and L is a fantastic fabric store! It’s well worth the drive to get great fabrics for a great price. You can find all types of fabrics here from quilting cottons to knits to lace, terry cloth, fabric for specialty items like prom dresses, lots of great organza, poplin, I even found some beautiful velour fabric that I hadn’t found any place else, even online. The notions are plentiful, the staff is very helpful and the wait for cutting and paying takes no time at all! Whenever I can’t find exactly what I’m looking for I head to M &L and can almost always find what I need! The sister store, Jenny’s has great selections as well, they just aren’t quite as large as M&L but still have great staff, who are very knowledgeable and helpful!

Prices are good, just customer service is not too good.Employees are not friendly always too serious or in a bad mood, thats not welcoming.We like this store is just that, that bothers us when we go.

Ive always seen this place in passing and finally gathered the courage to check it out. The store is amazing!Its huge with all the types of discounted fabrics and prints you can possibly think of. (Except Harry Potter. I didnt find any Harry Potter unless I missed it.)They also sell sewing notions, zippers, etc. at great discounts as well.Definitely returning for future projects.HOWEVER, I noticed that while the prices were discounted, with the right coupons I could get the same or better deals at Joann or Michaels. You just have to time it right and compare.

This place is AMAZING. Ive been going here for years. Best place for bulk materials . Everything you need . I travel from temecula to L&M . Its about 1 hr to 2 hrs depending on traffic. I used to live 15 minutes from L&M but i still travel to the best place !

I brought a bag of miscellaneous items in with me to color match and shop for a project I was designing for my granddaughters birthdayIt had the Birthday invite, a vintage Minnie Mouse and a work in progress doll that I had designed. After shopping I brought my fabric and trims and buttons to be measured, the staff sent me to cashier to pay and held my items she had measured. Weird system. Thru this craziness I left my project bag in the cart at her counter and headed to cashier. Paid the cashier where my bag of purchases was handed to me. The distraction caused me to leave my precious art project behind. When I returned home is when I realized what had happenedI called and was hung up on 3 times. I drove back to the store hoping to find my property.The staff was no help, said nothing was turned in and did not even try to assist in a search.I realize it was my mistake but I believe they could have at least tried to make an effortI’d rather drive to the garment district in LA than ever do business with these people again.

I like organizing my stuff and this place was really great they have all nice fabrics and everything about clothing materials.. I love doing new dress code and styles.

Lots and loads of fabric for your crafting needs, batting by the rolls, not a lot of ruler though. Its easy to coordinate pieces for your quilts and such. Prices reasonable but its easy to spend way too much.

Usually can find good deals, but the employees are always rude.

If youre looking for it youll probably find it here. Theres so much! Know what you want before you go there or youll up buying stuff you dont need! Be prepared to wait for the cut table and for check out. Saturdays are high traffic days.

This is my favorite store! I basically live at this store. I have been going there for 30+ years when it was owned by Jennys father. If you want Jenny to order a line of fabric she will. If you cant find a particular fabric, her employees know where everything is. Jenny says she is not a quilt store but she carries high-end manufacturers. Her prices are comparable to other quilt stores. In southern California, several quilt stores have closed. She has an excellent line of Batik fabrics. You would have to visit this because you wont believe how overwhelming this store really is.Jenny also carries lower-priced fabrics that are just as great.By the way, this store is dog-friend, I bring my little Ginger in with me every time. She is an ESA animal so she goes just about everywhere with me that she is allowed. Jenny is an animal-lover as well and owns a King Charles. I still like my quilt stores just as much. When I cant find what I am looking for in her store then I try my quilt stores. They all have something different.

The employees here ar very helpful and kind. Very interested in the projects Im doing. I lost my phone here right at closing time, and they were super compassionate and helpful in helping me find it.

I have been here a couple of time over the past years, and I love it. I hot motivated by some beautiful Frida Kahlo fabric. Now I see bags and aprons that are very original.

Huge selection of mostly quilt weight woven - some at SUPER DISCOUNT. But they do have sections of other wovens - canvas, household, satins - as well... Theres a small section of knits in the front room and a large section in the back room. Dont miss the back room - a little perserverance and some digging can yield some great inexpensive finds. Be prepared for a wait at the cutting tables. Love this place always look fwd to returning.

Love this place its perfect for all my sewing projects the staff has a whater kinda attitude but I guess they just assume if your in there store you know what they sell and where its at 🙄 other then the workers its a dream store for anyone looking for good quality fabrics at a cheap price .

Beautiful, quality fabric located in Anaheim, CA Fashion District. A bit on the pricey side for some patterns and a wait to getting your fabric cut but nothing too bad. Clean and organized with employees who are easy to spot.
