Great beer and food selection. Good covered outdoor seating. Good spot for random music in the summer with large outdoor area.Service can range from spectacular to surly but is generally speedy.Prices for groceries are high, but if you are on the island and need something thats on you not them.Worth a stop for locals and day trippers alike.

More a restaurant and bakery than a store, although there are some groceries available. No produce, which I was looking for, but found some nice apples on a stand by the road and called it good. The prepared food was amazing. The king salmon, cabbage patch salad, and green beans were all perfect and very inexpensive for the quality. The cookies are the size of your head and incredibly delicious. I ate three.

Its the only option on the island, so its definitely a place youll visit. The grocery selection was small but surprisingly diverse. There were some interesting souvenir goods. The restaurant food was fine although the service a bit slow during a weekday lunch. Overall, its probably more of a three star place, but the giant cookies are so delicious that they deserve an extra star just for that.

This place has so much potential and not much happening. Food is good, especially the fish & chips and the beer list includes some wonderful rotating taps. Staff that I encountered (except for one man) was not friendly and almost to the point of being rude. Young girls at the register are horrible. I guess they dont care and dont feel that they need to be welcoming since theyre the only option on the island.

Very nice rustic looking building with modern flair. Small selection of food and drinks with a small tax added on due to the remoteness. Nice Cafe inside adds to the feel but the food leaves a little to be desired.

Accidentally stumbled across a live show with the band Funk Bot. It was a very welcome surprise. Awesome little venue and store and restaurant!

Love the island and this is an awesome place for a beer. Food is good and most of the offerings are local! Sadly, the last four times I’ve swung in the girl working the counter/bar was rude and unwelcoming.

I lived there as a child and my mother was raised there on the island, my grandparents and her are at peace and I try to visit them at least once a year. Guemes island will always have a huge place in my heart.

Pack a lunch and skip this place.Way over priced..If you enjoy paying 25.00 for a plain jane chicken salad then rhis is rhe place for you.Eat in Anacortes for 10.00 less per plate or pack a lunch.

Not a bad place but very very expensive. For the price you would think the food would be a little bit better. The burger was good but dry chatter was okay not much flavor. Love the island though

Friendly and fairly well stocked store and deli. Good quality prepped food. Expect to wait a while since the store operates strictly from a walk up window, first come first served. No matter if you want a bottle of wine, picking up called ahead orders or waiting behind a family of 10 ordering ice cream and not knowing what they want. Just be patient. The staff is doing what they can given the circumstances. Also expect to pay Island prices.

Guemes Island General Store is more bar and restaurant than store. I ate a fresh salad that was acceptable. I enjoyed live music on the outdoor dining deck while I ate. Charming to dine to live entertainment while looking out over the Guemes Channel. Salad plus great service and ambiance means I will probably return. Guemes Island is not highly accessible from an ADA standpoint. However, the GIGS is an accessible facility.

Way to expensive. If you come to to island brung what you need with you. Gas was over $1.00 more per gallon than Anacortes. I hear they have good food though. Didnt try it. To expensive. $16.00 for a hamburger. Come on really!!!

Spent 10 minutes waiting to order with only 1 person ahead of me. Ordered 2 scoops of ice cream and after waiting another 15 minutes to get it, I had to leave before it came so I didnt miss the boat... 25 minutes seems like ample time for ice cream but clearly not here.

Terrible service, the signs say they open at 10am and online it says 9am. The man who sold to us was rude when he opened the window, angry when we asked if they only make pizzas on Fridays. Everything is over priced. We asked for 3 mountain dews and he gave us 1. Do not buy from this store.

Opens at noon with full lunch menu. Store window open on the back side selling chips, cookies and soda. Nice patio and big grassy picnic area closed to public.

A very pleasant destination right on the coastline. The food was very good, the service excellent, and the foodstocks most interesting. It appears there is live music on the weekends. If you are on the island you should definitely visit!

Definitely the place for island locals, the store/bar/restaurant combination is still very welcoming and friendly to mainland visitors. The interior is warm and inviting. A guitar and conga are clearly permanent residents and indicate that local music jams happen with some frequency.The food was pretty good. While the fish and chips were fine, the ancient grains vegetarian burger was incredible.I cant praise the staff highly enough. They were all friendly, professional, efficient and struck the perfect balance between checking in and leaving us be. Our water/cook went above and beyond, making us an off-menu item just for fun.The store is tiny, bit will have any forgotten necessities and a few fun finds as well. Definitely worth a visit.

They have their inventory listed on their front door. Think about what you want, then go to the side window and order whatever you want! Great kind service.

Terrible customer service and bad beer. The bartender was extremely rude. He probably knew I was from out of town as this seemed to be a locals only bar and tourists are not welcome. When I ordered one of the specialty beers the bartender poured 3/4 worth of foam from what seemed like an overly old keg. When I asked him if I could get more beer in my pour he accused me of not knowing what a proper beer pour looked like. Im accustomed to having about 2 inches of foam in a regular pour, not half a foot. On top of that, the beer seemed stale and old and appeared to be from a different tap then what the locals were getting. When I went again to order another beer from the local tap he then refused me service and demanded I leave. He then insisted that if I have a problem with the service that I write a review, so here I am. I would not visit this bar if you are not from this island as they will not take kind to you being from out of town. More so,the beer is expensive and did not taste very good.

Seems like a well put together place. Folks there seem happy to see me. As I fill the propane tanks.Window of time is short, hazmat related.But if a chance is given.I will try there fare and give a different report. Peace out.

Fun place for open mics and getting to know the locals. Beer wine bar real low key, characterized by island living, insular. Nice to get away and be cozy. Pretty good eats.

This is a secret because I want to go back and still get the BEST COOKIES ever! I took out an order on my way home and they were fresh out of the oven! I froze most and took them out one at a time and they were still the BEST COOKIES EVER!

Love taking the short ferry ride over to Guemes for some live music and good food at the store. But so much more than a store! This is a store with a bar, and a patio, and stages inside and out for live music. The restaurant serves up the basics (burgers) as well as fancier things like pasta with scallops or grilled salmon. I love the brussel sprout appetizer... Everyone there is super friendly, staff and customers alike. You might make some new friends, like I did!

Today I went for dinner and was pleasantly impressed for the second time. My Cod sandwich was perfect. The seafood pasta dish I had on my first visit was also outstanding.

This store has always been a favorite spot of mine and I have been going here regularly since it opened, the original owner Winn made it a great place that everyone liked to support. It still has lots of potential, but unfortunately the new owners are... blowing it.

Just stood there for over 10 minutes trying to buy a water and soda. While they let everyone walk in front of me and buy their ice cream. Pay for their meals. Completely ignored regardless of the fact I was there first. Put my drinks back and left. I will make sure I buy my things before coming to this island again

My family love doing a day trip over to Guemes and we love the place. Dont go at a busy time if possible, but i cant think of a better way to spend a sunny sunday munching on their delicious burgers downing a beer and watching the channel from the 2nd floor. Thumbs up has been our experience.
