Both music teachers are absolutely wonderful. They have a clam manner, supportive teaching style and a fantastic rapport with individual who I support. The young man who I support has a developmental disability and both teachers have gone above and beyond to make sure his needs are met. His progress has been amazing.

This place is fantastic; the instructors and instruction are second to none, they really seem to care how much I take away from the lesson.As such, Ive been able to gain serious, meaningful insight into music theory and practice on multiple types of instruments.The price is fair,, and I would recommend to anyone looking to get more familiar with music.

My daughter loves her violin lessons with Rachel! Rachel is so good with my 7 year old. She is patient and moves at a pace that works for my child. She has a positive attitude and is always encouraging. I can not say enough good things about our experience here.

My son started at NY Academy of Music about a year ago, never picked up a guitar before. We got a gift card and decided to give it a try. He hasnt stopped since. He loves it! The staff is great,school is clean, and everyone is always happy and helpful. I would definitely recommend this school for anyone who is interested in learning more about playing an instrument.

I have been coming here since November 4th 2014. I have been learning with my teacher Anthony. He is one of the best Guitar teachers I have ever had. He has taught me so much. I have even wanted to become a guitar teacher. As for the environment? It very friendly. Jared is such a nice and great guy. All the teachers here are so nice. If you are looking to learn an instrument I would 100% Recommend you come here. The best teachers, the nicest people, the friendliest environment. The perfect music school!

Staff is kind, helpful and accommodating. My 11 yr old son started DJ lessons 7 months ago, is learning a lot and loving it! Instructors have never rescheduled and lessons always start on time. Very grateful there is a school on LI providing instruction in this area of music. Kenyan and Danny are both excellent!

I tried learning DJing from a number of places but all turned to be unprofessional and uncooperative. Spin DJ Academy is very professional in terms of scheduling. There are no last minute cancellations from their side. The teachers are the best, they understood my goals and helped me on each step of the journey. My children have been students of NYAM for years, my son since the school opened in Amityville. Everyone is courteous, respectful, and I always feel both of my children are safe during lessons. Also, they are both awesome musicians due to the training at NYAM!!. Thanks Staff and teachers.

My 12 year old daughter has been coming to NYAOM for over 3 years now and we could be any more pleased with both the skills and professionalism of the entire staff - through these lessons my daughter has exceled @ NYSMA and has recently been accepted into the school districts Tri-M musical honor society. Rachelle is a fantastic teacher with great musical talent and of course Jarod is always reachable for any questions and/or concerns.

My son Tommy has been attending for over 6 years, his drumming has progressed immensely. The staff is super friendly an awesome family environment!!! I highly recommend the New York Academy of music ,, two thumbs up !!!!!

I think its exactly what Im lookin for ~ the staff r great, the class instruction is very helpful, and it also helps me learn and acquire new skills and talents, so I would definitely recommend this to anyone whos lookin to enhance their creativity in music talent 🥰

Im guessing the people who gave this place positive reviews are friends of the owners. The staff here was rude and insensitive. I would never, ever bring a child back here and they are not very personable to adults either. Avoid at all costs, there are far better music schools in Suffolk.

My teacher would show up late or not at all and then the school kept changing the times they wanted me to come in for my lesson constantly. To make it worse they charged me for a month I didnt even go which if they think Im paying they have another thing coming.

Ive been coming here for almost 2 years! Fun place, nice people and I love my drum teacher Matt!
