Very happy. I purchased a chain from ebay (yeah, I know) and the chain that came with it was way too weak. I went to a few jewelry stores and got quotes of $600 for a new chain and $100 to solder the necklace. Honestly, I found those quotes unreasonable and decided to find an affordable chain from Walmart (yeah, I know). Jeff charged less than half of what those jewelers quoted and the piece was ready sooner than I expected. One of them told me it would take a month to get back.In 2021, with how the world is going, we should all treat ourselves to something nice while maintaining a reasonable budget. Jeff really helped me out and Im so thankful. Next time that I need jewelry assistance, this is the first place that I will contact.Thank you so very much for charging reasonable prices in a world full of greedy sharks.

Richard did a phenomenal job with my rings! Id recently had my engagement ring serviced by a jeweler in Nashua, but that didnt last two months before the stone popped out. A recommendation from a friend sent me to J. August, and Im forever thankful! Richard helped me select a setting of the appropriate size and design for my center stone. The setting is gorgeous and solid!I must add that Richard waited patiently while I selected a new wedding band to go with my new ring setting. He listened to my ideas and concerns, and made a band thats a perfect fit with my ring.In addition, Richard resized my great-grandmothers ring. Im so happy to finally be able to wear it!J. It’s been a couple of years, but I had to come back and rate this jeweler. I’ve been incredibly satisfied with the repairs I’ve had done, including necklaces, watch batteries, and my antique diamond engagement ring. All service has been excellent, but they truly won my business the day that my 5 year old daughter slipped a tiny baby ring on her finger and didn’t mention it to me for several hours. When she finally did, her finger was blue and swollen and I loaded my kids all into the car to drive to the closest ER. On the way I decided that a jeweler might be better equipped to handle the ring situation, and called over. I was told to bring her right in, and once we got there, the ring was cut off within a minute. Cost? “No charge,” I was told. J. August has more than won over our business (and I refer friends all the time)!

I’m a budding silversmith and know how much work goes into making a piece of jewelry. I’ve been going to this jewelry store for about three years now and I have found them to be kind, knowledgeable and very fair on their prices. They have done repairs that many other jewelers told me could not be done and they’ve done them beautifully, restoring multiple items to like new condition, regardless of the damage incurred through years of wear. I’m about to get my 20th anniversary wedding gift from my husband; we picked it out together and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. It’s not just the owner who is wonderful, but his entire staff. Thank you so much for all your help, especially restoring family heirlooms and helping us create new ones!

Very friendly staff here and knowledgeable. Theyve repaired a small gold necklace and shortened the length of a bracelet for me in the past with excellent results.

Had used this jeweler for years and until recently it had been fine, good prices prompt service but recently whenever we have work done prices are astronomical, when sizing 2 rings it cost $100 and they keep the gold which normally would be fine but the ring we had sized reduced size by almost double so they definitely made their money off of us in weight of gold and then charged us too. One of the rings we had sized they also cracked the ring and the stone in it and didn’t mention it hoping we wouldn’t notice. We also had a ring under warranty that we had them put our daughters birthstone in, it didn’t sit flush like we expected it to and then it got very loose and we dropped it off for repair under warranty to have it set flush and tightened. THEY DID NOTHING. Also we were told everything would be ready in a week. Not the case, needless to say these guys will rip you off. 100% dissatisfied customer . We will not be returning.

They were very rude to me and when I asked for a rough estimate of a price they simply said that it would be a few hundred dollars to replace the common size glass on my watch and just put the second hand back on after it fell off. and that was a crazy price so I said I couldnt afford it and he quote on quote said thats what I thought in a very rude voice. please dont go here they have unreasonable high prices and are very rude to customers find somewhere else to go.

I had the best experience at this store. They were courteous,knowledgeable and most importantly honest and fair. All their repairs are done in the store. They can do platinum repair, which is an especially hard metal and hard to do.They have a large variety of gemstone jewelry, gold, silver, watches and costume jewelry. All at estate values. I will return again.Call to check their hours.

This is the best jewelry store around. I had a custom engagement ring made here and it was about half the price I was quoted at other jewelry stores in the area. I wouldnt go anywhere else.
