Technicians did a great job in the installation, keeping me updated on the progress as I was working at home. I recently bought a house in North Hampton NH with an outdated and failing oil burner furnace. I needed a new heating system fast before winter set in and I also wanted to covert the hot water heater oil burner furnace to a single combination high efficiency Propane boiler/water heater. MSM was efficient from the first phone call and continued to impress! Eric came out on a Friday morning to give us an estimate for our heating and central AC replacement. The estimate arrived Saturday morning and come Monday morning our hot water tank was all over our basement floor. I called as soon as they opened and Brenda rearranged their fill in work to accommodate us, we were up and running by 3:30 that afternoon. We needed to take a wall down in order to have the furnace replaced and they worked around our schedule for setting the date. Brenda was great about staying in touch through the whole process and they delivered on everything that they promised. Their installers were very timely and courteous. A service technician came the next day, performed maintenance on the furnace (including removing a bees nest from the duct work!), and told us what to look for over the next day to help diagnose the problem. I have had Main Stream Mechanical for 10 years. I converted from oil to gas, so I needed a through house inspection. They came to my house explained the process; showed me all my needs for conversion; showed me all highly rated burners ( l requested) with complete pricing including National Grid discounts.I had the price for all services needed , including electrical work. I had the whole package as a draft.Since I was 76 years old at that time, I asked if they would return to explain all the details outlined to my brother. New questions were raised and explained thoroughly. My brother, on his owned, researched this major expense and felt this was the best deal I could make. IT WAS!Whenever I experienced problems with my heat, they sent a crew either that day or the next. They have certainly addressed problems immediately.I also, on my own decision, extending my insurance contract. I have had to have three mother boards replaced with no cost. Boards that would have cost me over $1,000 a piece. Each board was ordered, expressed overnight and was installed the next day.I am on “borrowed time” now. When it fails, I shall certainly return to Main Stream Mechanical for a replacement .Another wonderful service from this company, you speak with the owners directly.

We had a good experience with Main Stream Mechanical this year when we had trouble with our furnace. We have used MSM for our regular service needs for the past few years, so when our furnace was not heating properly we reached out for service. The technician arrived the next day to investigate. By the time he arrived the heat was working, so he told us what to look for the next time it cut out and asked that we call back. So, later that day we called back with the problem code. It was determined after further investigation that we needed a new furnace due to corrosion. We only had to wait one day for the new furnace to arrive and be installed. Main Stream completed a heat conversion for our home - from oil to gas. They were very responsive and informative and covered all the bases, including oil tank removal and help with the mass save rebates. I had a lot of questions that they quickly responded to. There was one issue with the outside venting a week or so after, in which they promptly resolved.

I had MSM install a new high efficiency boiler and super store water heater last December and I was absolutely blown away from start to finish! Eric came out to check out the job and had the estimate back to me in less than 48 hours. Brenda had us on the schedule and the guys arrived right on time (10 minutes early, actually). Scheduled a gas boiler service and the technician was very knowledgeable about the system. He answered all of the questions I had regarding the boiler and how to get the most efficient heat from my system.Luckily my boiler didn’t need any repairs and he was honest in telling me I didn’t need to purchase anything extra.

I noticed the house cooling down on Sunday afternoon, tried cranking up the thermostat, but the boiler stopped responding. Called MSM and got the answering service. Left them my number and got a call-back within 5 minutes from Eric - the owner of the company. He had me read off the boiler status from the information touchscreen on the front of the boiler and was able to diagnose the problem over the phone. Unfortunately, he didnt have anyone available late on Sunday afternoon to fix it. Didnt have the necessary part either. But he drove over himself, and with a little ingenuity was able to get the boiler working again using a salvaged piece of shielded wire. A true MacGyver move! His guys followed up the next morning with a permanent fix. Eric definitely went above and beyond in the responsiveness (and creativity) category!

Just had heating boiler maintenance. Was able to get a next day appointment . Main Stream showed up on time , completed service without a problem. They cleaned up too! Great service.

After not calling me back for days, then canceling an appointment, and ignoring me again, they finally showed up after 3 weeks to replace my garbage disposal.2 guys came, not sure why it takes 2, except to bill me more, and they broke my piping, cut a hole in my wall, replaced it, and charged me for it. Over $500 for a new garbage disposal installed that costs less that $100? Yeah.Oh, I forgot to mention one of the two walked into my bathroom 5-10 minutes in and peed in my toilet with the door open. And they left the old pipes the cut out in my parking lot.I wish I was kidding or exaggerating. I really do.

I once had them come and service my boiler and all was well. However, when my water heater sprung leak and I was looking to find the issue, they charged me $145 (a minimum service fee) for the 5 minutes they spent looking it over. I was told if I did the replacement with them, they would deduct the $145 for the total install.I had other businesses come later that day for free and ended up going with someone else. I didnt like the feeling of being taken advantage of in a bad situation and forced into a business deal.
