I’ve never been more appreciative in my life! I overnighted a package that really needed to get there asap forgetting to put the apartment number. Eric was so great in helping me get my package there on time. Some of the best costumer service I have ever experienced. Thank you so much, Eric!

This ship center is a rip-off artist. I called & checked online to validate the shipping cost on my package of 24x24x16 at about 68 pounds and got a rate both times of about $250 including declared value. had to send my brother for me, but he goes into the place and they want to charge $750 for the same box, citing that it was oversized and had to ship freight even though it was in their recommendations for ground shipping. And their customer service line decided to not be helpful at all after I called to compain. Avoid!

Terrible service! I received a message on my phone that said my package was delivered. But it wasnt @ my door and I could not find it. Turns out it was left @ the bottom of the stairs with 2 damaged areas to the box. Label specifically said New item. Do not damage or cut box. The other box for this piece of furniture is supposed to be delivered 08/08/2020(tomorrow). I have had a knee replacement and several other surgeries. Someone with Fed Ex has.been paid to deliver any packages to my door so I expect them to be there.

I am not blaming this facility. Its the deliver! Can anyone tell me what does this mean? Room number? Recipient? FedEx is so irresponsible!!! Finally I figured that they want to pick up after 3PM Saturday, but the facility is closed the whole weekend! Get rid of FedEx and save your life.

After telling them I have thief across hallway that takes packages of doorways, and asking that my delivery have signature required and not just leave a 1000 dollar product at my doorway. They seriously told me they cant and its not their fault if it gets stolen after they leave it. Im just WOW. All you have to do is hit the button that say signature required, not that I am asking much. Will have to find a safer alternative to FedEx.

I went to pick up a package for a coworker. He lives out of town, so it was more convenient for me to grab it for him. He had asked if he could have someone else pick it up, and they said that was fine. I gave the employee his last name, she went and retrieved the package, came back out and said his first name and I said Yes, thats it. She asked for my ID, and I explained that I do have my ID, but the package isnt for me. She proceeded to search their system for anything about him leaving a comment, but couldnt find anything. A second employee came out, and in a hostile tone, asked Why did you say yes when she said his first name if you arent him?!. I explained that I was merely confirming his first name, not saying thats me. I asked if he could contact them now, and fax over his ID. They treated me as if I was just trying to con them out of something and said no, and that he shouldve contacted them before I came in, and it wont work now that I was already there. I understand that they couldnt give me the package, and I am fully alright with that. What wasnt alright was that they immediately treated me as if I was a criminal attempting to rob them. A simple and polite, Were sorry, but he should have notified us beforehand that you were picking it up, would have been acceptable. Not a hostile attitude that made me feel like they were about to call the police on me, all for trying to help a buddy out! Very poor customer service.

I was supposed to get my delivery today and when I looked at the tracking info it said they made an attempt at 11:45 to deliver it. They didnt ring the doorbell or make any attempt to get our attention. Now Ill be sitting in front of our door all day tomorrow to make sure I get my package. Would not recommend this service where apparently it doesnt matter if the customer gets their package.

So Thursday the guy left a door tag and no time on the tag so I went to the store and the package wasn’t there so guy apologized and said it will be back out Friday morning just sign the tag and he will leave it so I waited all day Friday and no show man I had took the day off to this so had to wait to Monday only for the lady to say it’s at there store ready for pick up so I told her and she’s like sorry nothing she can do about it so I’m like it’s supposed to be dropped off at house why would I have to waste my time again to go see if it’s at the store smh

After FedEx tried to deliver a package during the *middle of the work day* twice. The package required a signature, so I understand that we needed to meet the driver. Accordingly, I called the national number to arrange for a Saturday delivery after the second delivery attempt. We got our third and last delivery notice the next week day. The Saturday delivery request was either not received or ignored by the local office.Response from national customer service: too bad, so sad.Truly poor home service for anything other than extremely routine stuff.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place has less than a two-star rating with 66 reviews and that should tell you something. A few years ago, my BF got something with expedited shipping and it had arrived at this location on time, the day before it was supposed to be delivered. The next day, we received no package because I guess they just didnt feel like delivering it that day? They had NO reason available as to why it wasnt delivered and it had been at their facility for over a day, so plenty of time to process. We went in and spoke to a woman, whose name was Jade I believe, and she was so horribly rude to us for no reason off the bat, in front of what I assume was her boss, and he didnt even care. We were appalled. After that, we threatened to call corporate if they didnt give us our package (that we paid $30 to have shipped before the weekend) then and there. They finally gave in and we got it after 30 minutes of sitting around. Now, whenever my Amazon prime packages are late...I have to wonder. Absolutely horrible.

The driver doesnt even knock on the door. He slaps a tag on the door and doesnt even knock. I paid for overnight service to have the present here and now i have to go without the gift. We have packages delivered 3 - 5 times a week and this is the way they treat me.

Worst customer service EVER! I received an email that I would receive my package today and I needed to sign for it. Guess what. I sat here until 8PM, called them and then found out they changed their delivery to tomorrow without notifying me. Lost a day of work in my studio, and I have to take off another day of work as I have to sign for the package. I called them about it, was routed to Central America to someone who cannot speak English well. Asked for someone in the Ames office and they were closed. They dont open until 9AM, so how do you get packages with problems like this fixed? You cant because they close at 6:30PM.I then told a supervisor I was going to leave a review about this, and rather than try to fix the problem they decided to call media relations because they were concerned about me leaving a poor review as I told them I would be leaving one. I spent close to two hours on the phone and I am no closer to having my package than I was at 8AM this morning. The only thing I DO know is that tomorrow morning, I get to go through all this all over again. I cannot work in my studio as I will not be able to stop working to sign paperwork as all my work is timed and has to be done accurately.I ship a lot of customer orders weekly and I wont be using Fed Ex for my customers. I cannot afford to have my customers as angry as I am with them right now. I VALUE my customers - obviously, Fed Ex doesnt.

Was supposed to have a very important package come on friday and it was over nighted and never received it on friday or saturday. It is now Monday and still have not received it. Called the customer service and they said that it is still at the ames facility and it still has not been sorted. They must understand what it means to be shipped overnight. This is ridiculous!!!!

If I could give no stars I would. I work pretty close to FedEx and am in there a couple times a month. Every time I enter this facility, I have to wait at the desk for about 3 mins (sounds stupid to complain about) while I listen to the conversation that theyre having in the back and then be greeted by a highly rude gal that works there. No one here at the office has ever had pleasant visits to this one in particular, but holy cow, be more considerate, especially when Im telling you please and thank you. Just the worst customer service I have ever seen.

After reading all the other very negative reviews I was a little concerned about using this place however I had no issues. The lady at the counter that everyone had been complaining about was fairly abrupt and not very good at customer service but then again, maybe she was just having a bad day. She did her job quickly and efficiently and I really dont need someone to tell me to have a nice day every ten minutes. Im OK with the place.

FedEx has the worst costumer service ever. The costumer service in the office is so mean. I went there several times and she never act nice. I hate it when I need to go there.Moreover the carrier is really bad!! I LOST $70 today for my one day shipping and I did NOT get my package because nobody at home (I checked the website). I guess the carrier did not knock the door at all and did not even give any note in front of my door.I am really disappointed with FedEx.

Ridiculous that I cant get a package left at Ames center... I have to drive 90 miles round trip to fetch a package that is currently on a truck in my own town, a town WITH a FedEx center! They only deliver during the day when people are working apparently. UPS next time!

This (July 17, 2015) was my first and only time at this (Ames, IA) FedEx office, but I ship from various FedEx offices all over the US. Today, the young woman who helped me was attentive, smart, accommodating and efficient. I dont think I could have asked for a better experience.

I have been home all day. I go to let my dog out and and had a slip on my door saying a package was delivered but no one was there for the signature so I could pick it up at five or sign the slip for when they come back tomorrow. I didnt even hear a knock. The package was supposed to be a two day delivery, it has now been four going on five. When I called to see if my roommate could pick up the package with the slip that had my signed signature since I would be at work at five they said no, even if I gave her my photo ID. Slow shipping and terrible customer service. When shipping in Ames USPS is the way to go.

The service is terrible. I talked to this very nice Indian women. I was supposed to get my package 2 days ago but, the FedEx delivery system said they were not delivering it today. I dont care if you/do not want to deliver it. I paid for 2 day shipping it has now been 4 days. You do not get to just decide when to deliver my package. Do Not Ever Ship through FedEx Ames.

Drove to pick up a package scheduled foe delivery tomorrow but it was there today. First was attempted to be told it was out for delivery until i brought up there was no departure scan. Then someone else came up and tried to say since it was a phone it couldnt be given (this is not whats in the package) and once i informed the less than professional enployee of this she just said well its in a can of 1500 boxes so youre not getting it until tomorrow. Very rude, disrespecrful and now i have to hope they come before i work instead of making it convenient for the customer

I saw my package was delivered online. I get home and I dont see the package. I call FedEx and Im told it was delivered. So, I go to the local branch and they tell me it is in FedEx security and that I should wait. I go back online and now there are duplicate numbers. One says delivered and the other says it is at the local FedEx. I call customer support again, again Im told it has been delivered. I again tell them I have not received the package. Their response was I dont know what to tell you sir. I ask how we can escalated this and Im put on hold for 10 minutes. The lady gets back on and says someone will call me in the next 48 hours. What?! Guess Im out $60.

We paid for a three day service so the package would get to us by Monday so my daughter would have it for a school project, but Monday came and went and no package so we called FedEx and they said The package isnt due to be delivered to you till Tuesday by 8pm and that we couldnt pick it up any sooner if we came to the FedEx ship center. FedEx Sucks and Ill never use them again because Im FedUp with them!

Customer service is terrible. I could barley understand the foreigner on the other end of line when I called their 800 number which is the only number they have... To ask a quick question I ended up having to physically go into the store. Why they dont have a local number is beyond me. The lady at the store acted like my questions were stupid and was extremely rude. I returned the next evening to drop my package off and I simply asked if it would be shipping out that evening since it was overnight express and once again she acted as if I were the dumbest person ever and was snooty and rude with her response. The only reason we shipped fedex was because the company pre paid it. Never going back by choice.

By far the rudest lady I have ever encountered. They didnt open the door until 905. When I walked up, the automatic door didnt open so I waved my hands by the sensor and the lady inside rudely mouthed for me to hold on. Once i got inside she asked me a question very quitely, I said maam? She snapped back, DO YOU NEED A RECIEPT!? I respectfully answered, No maam. She proccesed my order and put the receipt on the counter and walked off. Absolutly no customer service whatsoever. I have had great luck with fedex in the past but i will do everything in my power to avoid this hell hole.

Fedex claimed to have delivered our package Wednesday morning at 10:49 am. We never received it. We called the local station and they insisted that the package had been delivered and suggested we contact Amazon about the shipment. According to Amazon, Fedex claimed to have already delivered our package. We contacted the local Fedex office again and were told that the driver reported that he had left the package inside the door of our enclosed porch. We do not have an enclosed porch. We called corporate and they called the local station. The driver then changed his story and claimed that he had been met by someone at the door. I was home at the time and never spoke to anyone. When we called corporate again, they had difficulty reaching anyone at the local station and when they did the worker was rude and unhelpful. Finally, on Friday the package (a 12 piece dinnerware set we had ordered for a friends birthday arrived. The driver was unapologetic and when we opened the box we found that one of the bowls was broken! NEVER EVER use Fedex in Ames, Iowa!!!

I was sending in my laptop to the manufacturer to be fixed. The customer support for my laptop told me that it would ship for free but never explained that there would be a barcode in my email that I should print out.When I went to the ship center in Ames, I had to wait 5 minutes just for someone to notice I was there. I explain my situation. She asked I had a prepaid thing from the company. I said I didnt, but that it was supposed to be free, but I couldnt do anything about it. I said Id pay it to be shipped myself. She walked into the back to do who knows what. I checked my email on my phone just in case I missed something, and I found a pdf in one of the numerous emails sent to me by the manufacturer(no wonder I didnt see it before since I had do many emails from them, but thats another story).She comes back, and I say I found the prepaid thing she needed. She said, did you print it out? In a bit of an annoyed tone of voice when I showed her my phone. With her attitude I wanted to say, yes, I happen to have one of those new phones that prints out the back. Instead, I stayed polite and apologized for not finding it sooner and for the inconvenience of it being on my phone. She tried to scan the barcode on my phone to make it easy for her to do. It didnt work, and as she started typing the barcode number, I asked a question, and she answered with a comment on how its easier to do if its printed out. I also had to pay for the box because the package was only free if I went to Clive or des Moines because of the manufacturer.I eventually did get it sent out, but the whole time I was there before I even inconvenienced her, I felt like she saw me as the biggest waste of her time that day. She acted like typing in one barcode number was literally going to make her hand fall off from exhaustion. Also, she acted like I was an idiot because I didnt have everything I needed already printed out. I would have been more willing to do the job myself just to avoid her attitude.

I ordered overnight shipping on a package. The package ended up getting misrouted TWICE. Instead of arriving Wednesday I got the package the next Monday. In addition, the package arrived at the distribution center Saturday morning, and they refused to deliver to me that day, even though FedEx does Saturday shipping.

FedEx seems to be the only delivery company that is incapable of putting a package at my doorstep. Im in a secured condo building, but have given them the code to enter many times. They must not have a system to keep the info, as everyone else always delivers, and they dont. Now I get to go to the service center, which has rarely been a treat.
