I was calling to find out if there is a service available, within their store, to send packages.Calling the store, it took several minutes for someone to answer the phone. Once they answered, I attempted to explain to them what I wanted to know, the associate continually interrupted me. It took me great effort to clarify what I was asking, because of her interruptions, and once I realized I got the answer I needed, the associate hung up on me not realizing I had another question.

Wal-Mart sucks. I will not check myself out while employees and cameras watch to see if I steal. Store shelves not stocked and disorganized. Employees too busy filling online and pick up orders too get out of a customers way.

Walmart itself has great low prices and easy to shop atmosphere but the smell upon walking in hits you in the face everytime whether it smell like vomit or a something rotting. The cleanliness of the bathrooms isnt something to be super proud of under this business I know this is more of a store to store basis as traveling north for 3 hours would leave me with a much better shopping experience from the employees to the products stocked to the smell upon walking in.

The greeter didnt even look at me today. Aside from that, employees were courteous but did not engage unless engaged with. Definitely could feel a bit more welcoming, but its Walmart 🤷‍♂️

South Duff location has really become ghetto. The scooters are non functioning or they only have 1 available. Carts are all outside at any given time of day. Deli food looks like its been there for days.

Their services are consistently accountable and fair. Employees are always helpful and mature.

If you can not find it at this New Modern Walmart, it is impossible to find. I was asked 4 times by staff working in the store if they could help me find a product. Great refreshing service. Incredibly easy checkout. Helps to take my purchases to my car. Great Service!

Originally went to Target for a kids bike and they were sold out. This Walmart had exactly what we didnt know we needed: a second bike and a rack! Very happy with the selection and polite service! (Kid and dog not included!)

Its Walmart. Cant complain about it, easy shopping, but nothing to make you go wow that was a tremendous experience. Four or five stars I guess since I didnt have any problems.

Hardly Any checkouts other than self checkouts open. If you gotta check out yourself maybe better Roll back prices some more? Obviously not spending as much on labor costs..

Seems like this place is going down hill. Its really sad. Workers dont seem to want to help you. Im a senior citizen and hard it get around the store is really to big to shop without a scooter, worker says most of the scooter are broke down. Please help.

We did online grocery pickup. Staff that loaded car was friendly and helpful.

The walmart center is really cool with diverse set of items available in the area. I would recommend people to get their lifestyle products over here which are available at a super cheaper price.

Well stocked but with the typical Walmart employee attitude its just a basic store.

Its about the same as before the covid19 Pandemic started in town. The only difference is that it is not opened all night as it was B4 Pandemic. So I have to take a look around the place B4 they close @11:00pm...Which means now that I havent anymore middle of the night 4hour get-away vacation time 2 spend shopping 😟

Always go here for our food and miscellaneous items we need. The staff are kind and always helpful to help us.

All walmarts are pretty much the same. Great prices & clean & big variety.

Very clean store in Ames.Organized, some shelves were empty and low on staff , checkers.

The tire center people are rude and take advantage of people by lying about facts just to get you to spend more money.

All groceries are available at reasonable price. Vegetables, flowers, house hold appliances kitchen/bathroom are available.

Friendly employees When I asked a question the employee was quick to answer correctly.

For some reason everytime I come to this walmart, they seem to always think im stealing something. Asset Protection seems to always have problems with the transactions of people of color and watch us carefully. I think Id have to be at a really low point in my life to get up at 9 in the morning and come to walmart to steal mints, as they tried to accuse me of stealing today.

They did not let us in when it was 10:52 PM. They claimed to close at 11PM. We needed ONE BOLT to fix our restroom. I guess we will not be able to flush the toilet tonight. Great, I love this store always as it is my one stop shop. You can get just about anything your heart desires there & therefore I call it my one stop shop.

Went here the day after Halloween to get some cheap chocolate...looked like a bomb went off in the Halloween section

Just waited 20 min. On phone to talk to some one in produce, that is way to long to leave a customer on the phone to answer a simply question. Finally just hung up guess Ill shop somewhere else .

Its impossible to find anything anymore. Including employees.

Very disappointed with my visit today. As we were walking around the store there were multiple pallets lying in the middle of the isles of the store. They had nothing on them and there were no employees by them. The woman that check our items out didn’t have a very good attitude and was throwing our items into the bags that could’ve been broken. We had some card malfunctions and she started making snarky comments implying it was my boyfriend’s fault for the malfunction.

We found everything we needed, HOWEVER, When we went to check out, none of my credit cards or none of my wifes credit cards worked. The employee stated it was a problem with their readers that always happens.I asked him what I could do to purchase my $400 worth of items. He told me to keep swiping my cards until it worked. Finally, he brought me to a management register (???) and after several.more tries, it worked.

A place where you can usually find wat your looking for!

I thought WalMart had everything. Didnt have McCormick Cajun Seasoning. LolJoking aside I found everything easily enough and got help from associates who were happy to do it.

Of course you know this place has everything you can think of. But its also a clean location. Tons of self service registers so checkout is a breeze.

What do you say? Walmart is Walmart. They did have some awesome sales!

Like every Walmart Ive been to, it had about everything, things are kept clean, staff is helpful if you ask, its a bright store... Makes you want to shop 🙂. It was a very nice Walmart

Great to overnight with your RV when youre traveling through this area. Have overnighted here several times. Well lighted parking area. Reasonably quiet. Walking distance, less than 2 blocks, to approximately 8 to 10 eating establishments. Had good dinner tonight at HuHot Mongolian Grill just across the street. Plus Walmart is 24/7 and they have anything that your heart desires to eat in your own RV.

Was able to find everything I was looking for.

Very clean and organized store with friendly staff.

I much prefer this store to the north location. They have much better book, dvd and magazine selection. Their seasonal candy and decor is much better. They usually have the dome container of the Pepsi products that are always out of stock at the north location. I also prefer this area of town. My big complaints would be that the people they have counting customers come in and out of the store are the rudest people Ive ever encountered. They dont SPEAK. I know they are not technically greeters but a hello and goodbye would be nice. They act like its a burden to be at the job they are getting a wage for. Thats a lot of young kids for you. Ill manners. But its basically an okay store. Oh. The other complaints I almost forgot to mention though is that they never have the whipped strawberry rockstar in stock. Not cool.

It was ok. As normal, holiday markdowns didnt ring up right. Food from hot case should be fresher.

We did our shopping here in Ames today, I needed to use the restroom! OMG, it was filthy... rims under the rim of toilet are filthy.. caked on stool... floors walls gum on floor tramped on and left to turn black. One sink does not work.. the floors and up the walls are dirty.. just filthy...??? WHY is not anyone looking?

I shop at Walmart for alot of my things. Like that its inexpensive.

This location is close and easy to navigate. Everything we need is at this store.

This was the worst service I have ever gotten with pickup service. After I arrived I called immediately. No answer and I was told to leave my number. I left my number as well as name and pickup lane. I then waited for 40 minutes even when I called again. At least 6 cars that arrived after me received their groceries. It was early in the day and there were very few workers. This was just unacceptable.

Under no circumstances should you EVER order anything for delivery. I bought 2 electronics for $250 that never arrived. Ive checked the delivery address numerous times and it is correct. Theyre sending out replacements, but how does this happen with 2 separate packages.Also buy your produce here if you like rotten super low quality stuff.

It is a Wal-Mart like all the other Wal-Marts.

Its Wal Mart. You find what you need and go on with your day. You even scan your own purchases and bag them. Not alot of interaction with employees.

I purchased a six pack of non alcohol beer from Walmart at North Grand, Ames. When I went to retun the empties, i was told if machine wont accept them neither would customer service. Walmart lost a loyal customer over 30 cents, thank goodness there is a Hy-Vee and Fairway in Ames for purchasing my groceries.

Horrible! I drive far out of my way this walmart I normally do not go to check out different things my regulars dont have only to be told extremly rude that I cant shop in a certain isle. They were restocking and I was just walking by glancing at what was there. If customers were not allowed they should have closed it off not rudely tell me I cant shop there.

Went to the auto phone service there gentleman help me find everything I need it even put the cover on my phone thank you

Walmart is the same as ever. If I need help, the associates are always Iowa friendly, but I typically dont approach them unless I really need to as most everyone is very busy with their duties due to Covid. Store is clean and stocked and only occasionally has issues with keeping things stocked like during college move in day. Otherwise, very pleasant.

Worst walmart EVER. The staff members are extremely rude. The manager, Ryan, was the most unprofessional employee Ive ever dealt with.Online their store shows a specific hoverboard in stock. Says there is 1 left. I couldnt find it anywhere. I asked them to price match another hoverboard that was the same brand. He told me he wouldnt do it. When I asked why he said I just wont. I said, I know for a fact that someone came in a few days ago and you price matched 3 of the exact same board for the price Im asking you to match. He refused and said they wouldnt have done that. I asked my friend who the manager was that helped her. She described this same guy to a T. Instead of being helpful in any way, shape or form, he acted like he didnt have the time of day to be bothered helping someone.I will NEVER shop at this location again. Everything else was fine. The people ruined it.
