Anna at Pure Bridal was an excellent stylist. She paid close attention to details, referred to my guests by name, and made an effort to get to know me throughout my appointment. She kept the appointment moving, helped me make decisions based on observations of my body language, picked out gorgeous dresses in my budget, and really understood the dress vision. Since there was a $30 appointment fee, I made sure I was ready to say yes to a dress before making my Pure Bridal appointment, and they did not disappoint. They had loads of dresses in the style I wanted, many more than the other stores I visited. I was surprised by the $50 shipping fee at checkout, but other than that, it was a fantastic experience filled with little touches that helped the day feel special.

Super beautiful store and helpful staff! I had already purchased a wedding dress elsewhere (a few years ago, wedding postponed because of covid) but I hadnt purchased a vail yet. They were super accommodating even though we had just popped in and they were busy! Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a wide variety and kind staff!

I had Isabelle as my personal stylist and she was the absolute best! She made me feel so comfortable and helped me navigate in looking for a style that best fit me. I was not expecting to even find a dress but Isabelle picked out amazing options and I came home with a dress! 10/10 would recommend this place.

They have so many differnt and beautiful dresses and very accommodating to plus size brides like myself. my consultant Anna was absolutely amazing and patient!! I’m late to the game on this rating, but felt Pure Bridal and Lakin, my stylist, needed the praise they deserve! In April, I came in for my first (and what I knew would also be my last) dress shopping experience! I brought my mom, future mother in law, my maid of honor, and one of my bridesmaids! We’re a pretty loud bunch that loves to laugh. Lakin pulled all of the right dresses and made sure to accessorize them appropriately! She helped keep my rankings in order and then helped to ensure I had enough time to go back and try on my favorites again! I found my dress with absolutely no hesitation. Lakin willingly took our group photos, glammed me up, and was the best hype lady I could ask for! The best part….. my dress arrived in store in July and Lakin was there to help with my try-on before picking it up! Seriously… I’m sure they are all amazing… but ask for Lakin!!!

Crystal at Pure bridal was amazing, I had an awesome experience at Pure bridal and she welcomed my family and friends and I with open arms and was more than willing to help me find my dress. While I did not find my wedding dress there, my experience was top notch!

My appointment with Anna was AMAZING!!! The entire appointment was focused on me, and I was so impressed with how much she remembered from my responses to the pre-appointment questionnaire! I purchased my dress at Pure Bridal, and the experience was perfect. A lovely store and large selection. But what really mattered was Lakin! She was beyond helpful, incredibly sweet, and the appointment went so fast with such great company. I loved how low pressure and helpful she was in helping me find the right dress. I could sing her praises forever, but Ill just say, go here and ask for Lakin- youll get a wonderful dress and a great experience.

Amazing store! Felt like a true bride when I walked in. I love all their attention to detail, and putting me in dresses that complimented my body shape. Wish I could go dress shopping again with them ;)Other than my alterations (which was not through Pure Bridal) this dress absolutely stunned me and everyone at my wedding.

I had a wonderful experience at Pure Bridal, what set this place apart was that their staff are not paid commissions, so they truly want you to get the dress that is best for you rather than what costs the most. The dresses are all reasonably priced and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable about what would look best on me- as I was clueless.They also helped me choose a first dance dress and called me as soon as it arrived.

I was not very happy with the way our appointment went. My daughter had sent in on line her wish list along with our budget expectations prior to the appointment. They apparently don’t even look at that because they had not pulled any of the dresses she picked. Instead they had her go with the consultant to pick a few choices. I , the mother of the bride, was seated out in a mirrored area. The consultant did not ask about a budget and just had my daughter try some dresses on. All the while I was assuming they had picked dresses that were priced in our range. On the third dress, she had found “the dress” bringing tears to my eyes. Bells were rung and everyone with us was excited to have found this dress. It was beautiful. They had me go into the dressing room area to discuss the purchasing arrangements. Without even asking me or telling me the price, the girl just wanted to know if I wanted to make financial arrangements for payment. I asked how much the dress was and it was over $3000. That’s double what I had planned on spending. My heart stopped for a minute and shock came over me. The first words out of my mouth were “you’ve got to be &@$(ing me”. The girl helping us then started to apologize for not asking us about our budget. I was quickly trying to figure out what I was going to do. Do you go through the humiliation of telling your daughter and the other family and future in-laws that you don’t want to wipe out your savings? I ended up having to make out two checks for the dress because my hand was shaking so bad trying to write it out. I was just sick about it but also angry that pure bridal handled us in that manner. How many other brides have they done this too. I am also not happy that they did not store the gown or have the final pressing/steaming of it included. Just take the money and shove us out the door. I will never recommend them to anyone.

I was highly disappointed at Pure Bridal this afternoon. We had an appointment for my daughter. We paid the $30 non-refundable fee that cannot be put towards anything in their store other than a gown. We have not found a single other bridal salon that is charging a fee to literally just walk in the door. We began by getting assigned to an area of the salon, getting settled then being asked to pack up and move because a bride with a larger party (and budget) needed the space. After a quick consultation about what my daughter was looking for and budget, they were able to scrounge up 4 dresses to try on. The owner Rita made a snarky comment towards my daughter that with her budget there was no way they would be able to find anything at that rate, yet ironically they advertise on their website they have tons of dresses starting at a much lower rate than what our budget was. She spent no time or effort even trying to look for a dress but she made sure to be very, very attentive to the party next to us with a larger budget. Overall a very cold, rude, and disappointing experience for what is suppose to be a fun and exciting time. Would not recommend unless you have a hefty budget and dont care about customer service. Horrible experience!!!

Wonderful, personalized experience here! Our consultant was fabulous and listened to exactly what the bride was looking for. The bride walked away with a dress and myself and another bridesmaid found our bridesmaid dresses, all in an hour and a half. We will be back for a bridesmaid dress trip with the rest of the bridal party!10/10 would recommend Pure Bridal.

I had the best time shopping here for my dress! Not only was the staff super respectful and fun to work with, but they also knew exactly what they were doing and made me feel very comfortable. I went to quite a few other places and no other place compares to how great this place was. All I can say it trust the employees. The dresses I picked out, I didn’t end up liking but then when I let them pick out a couple dresses for me, that’s when I found my dream dress. Forever grateful to everyone there, especially Isabelle who found me my perfect dress.

It was wonderful! They fit us in even though it was a very last minute appointment and everything was great. We went to two bridal shops before and Pure Bridal had a better selection and better consultants by far! Highly recommend!

Such a fantastic experience shopping for wedding dresses! It was my first time trying on wedding dresses, and I recommend all brides start at Pure Bridal! They kept my budget and dress preferences in mind the entire time. What could have been an overwhelming experience was very fun and helpful because of the Pure Bridal team. Isabelle and Ashley were knowledgeable, professional, were great at listening to what I liked/didnt like, and never pushy. Highly recommend making an appointment here!

As a mother of the bride I have worked customer service for 35 years. At Pure Bridal there was no customer service or professional service. I paid for a New gown and shipping and came home with a Sample dress that had been there for a year or more. Rita would not work with me on price issues. As I tried to reach out to her she said she is done with me and hung up on me twice. Just saying Buyers be Wear. If this helps any new brides shopping please be aware of Pure Bridal and Rita.

After we made the appointment, you called us back and said you didnt have it in stock. Scummy and unethical. Thanks for lying publicly in your review - I hope it makes you feel better for robbing us. We wouldnt have made the appointment if you were honest with your customers up front. A good business would make up for their mistakes - you just keep the money at the expense of your potential customers.

Wedding Dress shopping at Pure Bridal was an absolute dream come true! Rita was extremely helpful and had amazing guidance when it came to looking at specific styles, and challenged me to try on items I wouldnt necessarily pick out myself. My Pure Bridal experience was excellent!  Natasha was such a great bridal assistant and even picked out my top contender dress.  They explained the ordering process/timeline and were super friendly throughout the entire appointment.  Great selection as well!  Highly recommend!

WORST Customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life!!!!! Would put Zero stars if I could. Rita, the owner was very rude. Raising her voice at us as we tried to point out the very noticeable flaws of a very expensive wedding gown. She made the situation way harder than it needed to be, not to mention embarrassing and disappointing the bride to be on what was suppose to be a very memorable day.

Shop is impeccably clean and well-organized. We had excellent personalized service from the woman working with us. You can tell these ladies love their jobs and are committed to helping you find what you need for your wedding. Easy to find from the main roads in Ames.Wouldnt recommend taking small children along to appointments, plenty of breakable decorations for little fingers to latch onto and no food/drink allowed in the fitting areas.Overall a great shop with attentive employees. Would recommend to anyone we know!

Had a wonderful experience at their sample sale. The staff only pulled dresses within my budget which was greatly appreciated. I found a dress that I loved (and happened to be 50% off) and ended up saying yes to the dress! They were also very helpful when 3 more people showed up to see me try on than I had initially told them was coming with me. They swapped rooms so my family was comfortable. Id just suggest to look over the accessories very closely- they belt I was interested in was missing 1/4 of the crystals.

This place is great! I am never a picky person but coming here and looking at all these dresses has me torn in my decision making. They accommodated me and made sure I was happy. Pure Bridal made a stressful moment seem like a party. The first girl Morgan, was so knowledgeable that I felt like she had been working there for years! Andrea was also amazing. She had me try on a dress that I would have never agreed to in the past, and of course it made my decision harder. These ladies know exactly what theyre doing, so give them free reign! I was surprised at what looked amazing on myself. You know the owners are doing something right when every employee is so passionate about finding the right dress for each bride. The moment you walk in you definitely know this is family owned and nothing like Davids Bridal or any other big corporation that just wants your money. These ladies are fun, personable and professional.

Lovely experience with Pure Bridal. I tried going to other places, but the warm and helpful environment at Pure Bridal brought me back. I am so glad Meghan could help me find my dress. She was aggressive in making sure I knew what I wanted and picked out various dresses for me to try. She was so sweet and kind. Additionally, Kayse and Rita sized me, gave me advice on my best options and knew so much information about all the gowns. I had such a bad experience at a different place, so when I came back here, I could breathe again and smiled and felt like this was my place to get my dress. I was right and now, I couldnt be happier with my one-of-a-kind gown. Fantastic customer service as well.This was the ONLY place that offered a variety of gown sizes. I am tiny and I was amazed they offered size 4 and 6 dresses as well, instead of the standard size 20 dress. I respect bridal salons that offer a whole variety from size 2 to 30. Everyone has a different body type and trying on gowns more in my size made it much easier for me to realistically see how I would look in a gown.

This place was THE BEST!!! I had been to 3 places prior to trying dresses here. I was looking for a specific dress and Rita found me one that was even better than what I had in mind. She listened to everything I had to say and made everything that I asked happen. She was so incredible helpful and wonderful to work with. The selection of dresses is by far the best I have come across and the process of trying on and accessorizing them was just perfect. I would recommend Pure Bridal to every bride no matter what you are looking for , they are the best!!!

I went to Pure Bridal because I adored the trendy dresses and knew I would have lots of options. My husband and I decided to elope and that left me with one month to find my dream dress! Needless to say, the dress I fell in love with fit perfect but would of never been ordered in time. One of the shop owners worked with me and let me take the sample dress that day and I was so thrilled to have my dream dress! They even followed back up with me to see photos of our day. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Pure Bridal! I only needed to purchase a shape wear and shoes, but even with that they went above and beyond with me to make sure I was getting the right size and everything! I know when it comes to my time to need a wedding dress, I will be purchasing with them because they have such a beautiful selection of dresses. My daughters and I had a not so fun experience from the beginning to the end at Pure Bridal. We were all greeted warmly and it is a very nice bridal store with great displays and dresses. We had just been to another bridal store and had a great time and expected the same. So just like the other store my other daughter and I immediately went to inspect possibilities for the bride my other daughter. We started picking a few out and the sales clerk helping our bride/my daughter and says we really prefer the bride to pick out the first few dresses and then looks at my other daughter and says miss please dont pick up the dresses you really need to just sit on the sofa and wait. We both thought that was slightly rude but blew it off, hoping it would get better so we waited also starting to feel quarantined, so we started joking around trying to have our own fun talking about my other daughter and what she would do if she got stuck on the sofa. This lead to more discussion and the sales lady coming over and warning us that no blood shed would be allowed in the store and that we would need to take it out to the parking lot. WE both said what?? And joked about it some more, basically deciding to ignore her. Then our bride came out and it got a bit better seeing her in some dresses and then other sales clerks got involved and it got even better. A relief, but still not a comfortable situation. By the end we all felt like it was all about the designers and the dresses and had very little to do with the bride our her family and friends. Pure Bridal in fact asked what and where we saw other dresses and informed us they could order the same, but they charge a shipping fee and the other store did not, and our sales clerk was rude. Overall we were all highly dissatisfied and it was a bad experience and not a fun ending for what was supposed to be a wonderful and fun day!

Pure Bridal was my 4th shop and after going there, I didnt want to go anywhere else. I tried on more dresses here than any other place, simply because they had so many in my size that I liked. Megan helped me and was SO great! I found my dress here and LOVE it!!! I highly recommend this place! :)

I had the best experience for my wedding gown. I had one fluke of the designer (not Pure Bridal) tagging the incorrect size and I had the wrong order, but the staff at Pure Bridal sent the dress back and I received my correct size in just a month! Awesome experience and awesome ladies.

My first appointment at Pure Bridal was okay. The associate was very new but still very helpful. I ended up pulling a dress by chance that I ended up loving, but since I had some other appointments at other salons I didnt say Yes that day. I went back later in January knowing it was my dress... I put it back on and said lets do it! The associates were always very helpful when I stopped in and had my accessories appointment... and even just going in to check out veils they helped me into my dress to see the full look. Thanks

Went to a couple different bridal boutiques in the area and this one is by FAR the best! The staff is knowledgeable, engaged and energetic. Their love and passion for their dresses is contagious. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a special dress for any occasion!

I used Pure Bridal when it came to my wedding dress. However, my belt did not get sewn in as promised and I didnt know my dress didnt have a bustle until I took it home.Bridesmaid dresses experience have been awful. I used them for my bridesmaids and recently had to wear one as a bridesmaid myself. Their measurements are WAY OFF. I had to have 9 inches taken off the bottom of my bridesmaid dress and other girls (including my bridesmaids) had issues with their dresses, such as being 2 sizes to big or not fitting properly. I love their selection and designers, but will not be going back in the future.

What a wonderful shop! Bought my dress there, and it came in 2 months earlier than expected. The shop they recommend for alterations is super nice to work with, very knowledgeable, and worth the drive from the Des Moines area. I just picked up my bridesmaid dresses from them, and they are fantastic as well. So excited for my big day! Everyone is super friendly and helpful, even when I have crazy indecisive bride moments :)

What a wonderful store! If you want to feel like youre on Say Yes to the Dress, this is your store! They give you so much individual attention and are very helpful. Im from Omaha and searched all over Omaha for bridesmaid dresses, then I went to Pure Bridal in Ames and the selection was SO much better than anything I saw in Omaha. Rather than having a large selection of average dresses, Pure Bridal has a smaller selection of high quality, unique dresses. I would absolutely recommend Pure Bridal to anyone youll love the service and their selection!

My first time in the boutique was amazing. The lady who helped me really knew her stuff and I love the dress I purchased there. The first time was very warm and welcoming and I loved it. When my dress came in the dynamic really changed at the boutique. When I went in to try on my dress we got there 2 minutes before it opened and waited outside of the door. A lady popped her head out and said to my group and another group sorry ladies, we dont open for a few more minutes so you will have to wait out here. So we stood out in the cold and waited until exactly 9:00 AM until they opened the doors. Then once I got the dress on we were asking the lady helping us some questions about the dress and she couldnt really answer our questions and didnt seem very knowledgable. Had I written this review off of my first experience I would have given them 5 stars. After my second time there I give them a 3 because the atmosphere seemed so unwelcoming and cold.

I was VERY disappointed by Pure Bridal when I went to find my wedding dress. The two people who helped me were incredibly pushy, trying to get me to buy a dress I wasn’t in love with and that was way out of my budget. One consultant even told me to LOSE WEIGHT to fit into a dress. This was extremely unprofessional and insulting. The stress of the appointment almost pushed me to the point of tears. I expected much more from such a highly rated store.

I drove from Des Moines to shop this highly rated bridal shop. I walked in, asked if I could browse bridesmaids dresses and they told me no. They said they only do bridesmaid dresses for their brides. I dont even have my dress yet, it could have been them! How on earth do you turn brides away from your shop?! This was very disappointing.

Even though I didnt end up getting my dress here, Pure Bridal had a great selection of dresses, were respectful, and worked to get dresses within my budget!!! I worked with Bre and she was absolutely wonderful. She was very polite, and listened to what I liked and didnt like about dresses and picked out perfect ones that matched my style and venue.The questionnaire that I filled out prior to coming to my appointment was great-you can even send pictures in of ideas you have. This allowed Bre to have a heads up about my taste and to have dresses pulled before we arrived.I had a large group (9 including myself), and they found a place for all of us! I had to call to cancel one week because the pipes at our house froze, and I easily rescheduled to the following week at the same time.There was a mirror in the room which allowed me to look at the dress before wasting time getting the dress clamped, buttoned and zipped and go out in front of family and friends. I didnt realize how important this was until I was at a bridal store without mirrors in the dressing rooms.Overall, my dress shopping experience was wonderful! Id definitely recommend Pure Bridal!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Pure Bridal. My teenage sisters dress came in way too small. We went in to figure out what had happened. It took two of their employees to squeeze her into it. When my sister came out of the room she had tears in her eyes and literally could barely breath in the dress. The supervisor showed me the measurements that their seamstress had wrote down and how they decide on the size when she was initially measured. She explained to me and my teenage sister that she had gone up three sizes since she was measured. Which was completely unbelievable beings she has lost a lot of weight since being measured. I tried explaining to the supervisor there was no possible way that my sister had gone up three sizes in that short amount of time and that the seamstress simply had to have not measured her correctly. She explained that the seamstress had been with them for two years and she trusted her. Which was completely irrelevant! She spoke to one of the managers over the phone who pretty much didnt care and another one was supposed to get back to me when she could get ahold of her. I did not feel like they cared about the issue or wanted to help in anyway their only concern was making it seem as if they were not at fault. My wedding is in three weeks and I feel like the the shop that I got my wedding dress and raved about could care less about a mistake that they made. I hate to give anyone a bad review but I do not recommend Pure Bridal after our terrible experience!!!

Choosing the perfect at Pure Bridal made it my one stop shop. It was the first time looking at dresses and Megan couldnt have made it a better experience. Prices are broken down highest to lowest by a color categorized breakdown, staff there are very kind, the setup is a neat rustic, vintagey feel. I had a fabulous day!

These people are amazing! I had been to a handful of other stores trying to find my perfect wedding dress without success. I started expanding my search outside of the Des Moines area and found this place. A listing I found online had the owners cell phone listed accidentally and when I called around 6:30pm one night to inquire about the type of dress I was looking for she instantly made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I let her know that am a larger woman and I had encountered a small selection at some previous stores and trying to save everyone time I just wanted to make sure there was a decent selection I would be able to try on. Kasey was amazing and explained to me their view on each woman (no matter size) being able to have the perfect dress with the same wonderful experience so they carry all sizes with multiple dresses in each size. I knew this was the place I needed to go to by speaking with her. Ashlyn was a kind and caring woman who helped me for 2.5 hours straight on the search for my perfect dress. She listened to me and actually found my perfect wedding dress for me! I never would have tried it on if she had not suggested for me to do so. Thank you ladies so much!

There are not enough words for how incredible Pure Bridal is. Every time I have gone in, I have had nothing but spectacular customer service. The girls remember me, they are detail oriented, and have made me feel like family each time I have gone in. When looking for my wedding gown, and even bridesmaid dresses, they stuck to my budget, brought me dresses in my size (which is VERY nice-size 16 and top heavy) and even listened to my bridesmaids budgets and ideas. When picking out my jewelry, Rita and Kayse were so helpful. They helped me pick out custom pieces for me, and my bridesmaids. I tell literally everyone I know to go there because the team at Pure Bridal is the best-you will laugh, crack jokes, cry happy tears, and walk out of Pure Bridal knowing you have made the best life choice while looking for bridal attire.

I went to two bridal appointments at Pure Bridal. The first was for a trunk show and the second just to explore the entire stock. Both times, I experienced the team atmosphere at the store. While I had a consultant assigned to me, other consultants offered advice and expertise in pulling additional dresses to try, head pieces, belts, etc.

Beautiful place but I didnt like how packed together we were, I felt like just another bride and they wouldnt let me dress myself which let to horrible self conscious feeling I couldnt get over. Also my rep was always watching the time which made me feel rushed.

This place gave me a dress that was 8 sizes too big and 16 inches too long. When I called and verified they had the right measurements they told me that since I requested a tall size that they had to add that huge amount fabric to the bottom and that as far as the size goes, well, that was just a designer decision and there was nothing that they could do. Now they want me to take the dress in and get it altered and give them even more money. Do yourself a favor and go somwhere else.

Amazing selection of wedding dresses in many silhouettes. So many stores try to carry bridal, bridesmaid, mother of the bride/groom and tuxes and therefore only hace a couple of dresses of any shape. This store just does bridal and carries an imlressive selection. They arent pushy and allow you to find what you love.

I was lucky enough to travel to New York City to shop for a wedding dress for my September wedding. After deciding travel for alterations would be difficult, I decided to come back to Iowa and hope for the best. I made my appointment at Pure Bridal and realized shortly after they had my dream dress in stock. Although the dress was an 8, and Im not... We were able to tell what I would look like in the trumpet style dress and skype my mom in from Puerto Rico. Easy is an understatement. Pure Bridal made the process a breeze and rivals the New York boutiques as far as style and inventory.

Two of my friends have ordered bridesmaid dresses from this store and both times this store measured me wrong and ordered the wrong size dress for me!The second bridesmaid dress, Pure Bridal lost my measurements. They ordered my dress based on measurements two years ago instead of my measurements from 5 months ago!They finally agreed to give me half of my money back for the bridesmaid dress. They also offered me 1/2 off my next bridesmaid dress or 20% off a wedding dress.I do appreciate that they FINALLY stepped up and took care of this situation, because it was a hassle living multiple hours away and the time I took to talk with them over the phone several times.Im thankful they finally stepped up their customer service during the process of getting my money back, but I still have hesitations ordering dresses from them based on the experiences I had.

I had a great experience getting my wedding dress from Pure Bridal. My only complaint is that they should NOT recommend K N Custom Sewing - she was AWFUL!!!!!! Please save future brides from a bad exposition her.

I cannot say enough good things about this place and these people. From the moment I contacted them about scheduling an appointment, every person I talked to was incredibly kind and helpful. The day of my appointment, I felt like a princess and was treated very well. Bre listened to me and helped me find the perfect dress for me. A few days later I had a panic moment over something that had come up, but Megan reassured me and got me in the next day to come get the situation figured out. They do everything to make the whole process easy and worry-free. I cannot wait until I get to wear the dress when I walk down the aisle in a few months :)

I went to pure bridal to order my flower girl dress after several unsuccessful and frustrating attempts with another store. I felt like my concerns were understood and addressed respectfully.

Horrible Horrible experiance.. Went in to try on Bridesmaid dresses for my sisters wedding they basically told me they didnt have my size. I am not huge but im also not tiny. I was the only girl out of the group who didnt enjoy myself due to this. I cried my eyes out all the way home. I really wanted to enjoy the experiance and this is the only bridal store i have been to who has treated me like this and who doesnt have bigger dress sizes.. And when we made the appointment we told them we wanted to do Two Piece dresses. Instead of telling us over the phone they told us when we showed up that they are discontinuing two pieces. Just so disappointing i am not happy at all!!

Anyone shopping for a wedding dress should make an appointment and shop here! I cant say enough good things about my experience with them thus far.
