I was traveling in Iowa from out of state when my car battery died in Boone on an incredibly hot day! The jump from roadside assistance didnt work and a new battery was recommended. I called the manager, Nick who quickly checked to ensure they had the correct battery in stock. I called for a tow but was told it would be at least 2-3 hours before they could reach me and tow me to AutoZone for the battery. Upon hearing this, Nick offered to bring the battery to the parking lot where I was stranded and install it himself! I will be eternally grateful for the exceptional service I received!! Saying he went above and beyond is an understatement!! I highly recommend this AutoZone!! Thank you Nick!!

When I had gone in today I was looking for a new headlight for my car and I had mentioned I didn’t know anything about it to the lady at the front. She explained the bulbs to me but when I had asked how to install it she kind of blew me off and referred me to other stores to install it. The overall experience wasn’t the best and I had gone to this location because of the reviews saying how helpful the employees were and how they would assist in installation. This was a disappointing experience especially being the first time buying headlights.

Went in with a dead battery/alternator issue. They hooked it up and checked and recharged the battery for me and found it was an alternator issue. I was going to install it before going home cause my truck died in the parking lot and wouldn’t start. The guy that helped us (bad with names but was from Illinois) jumped right on helping us with it and even did most of the work to install it. Super helpful and super awesome service would totally recommend.

When I walked in I was greeted at the door and asked what I needed help with. I was escorted to what I asked for I then said I had other browsing to do. After that it was akward the manager was being rude to the girl that worked there. All in all very unprofessional they have lost my business

We live out of state and my daughter attends Iowa state. She was having problems with her car not starting. Called your store and employees went above and beyond to help me help her! Got a jump to get the car there. Employees tested her battery, not good, recommend a what one to but and installed it for her. Also due to the jump start, apparently her car is known to blow the power steering fuse! Luckily her fuse box was under the hood and they were able to locate the blown fuse and replace that for her as well!! I can’t thank your employees enough for all their help!Sincerely,A very thankful and relieved mom!!!

I went to autozone today with a headlight out in my car. I dont have much knowledge with cars and I knew it would be simple but I definitely didnt know how to change it. Two of the gentlemen working today were extremely quick to help me and not only helped me pick the correct lightbulb, but installed it for me as well! I was in and out within 10 minutes! Very friendly and knowledgeable as well. :)

My sister bought tail light bulbs here. She asked if the person could install it, he said, no..but you can watch a YouTube video and figure out how to do it yourself. We drove across the street to OReilly Auto Parts, a gentleman who worked here installed the light right away for her at no charge. I will definitely take my business to OReilly from now on!!

My first time there was last night. I thought I knew what I was doing but had a question, the man that helped me was so great; told me of a less costly solution and then volunteered to show me how to actually install it so I could learn. When I told him it was not for my car but my sons he said to send him back and hed teach him. So refreshing to receive such a high level of service, especially considering there is little upside for the business, I spent ten bucks!

The customer service at AutoZone was impeccable! I had never visited that location before and was casually given a suggestion to visit there to purchase a car battery for a good price. Add an employee who is on break asked me what I was looking for and I told him and he got off of his break and went back in to look something up for me. He came back with a battery that was 30 to $40 less expensive then two other competitors prices. I was on bicycle and after a long journey to find a battery at my first stop it was going to be either riding the bicycle with a car battery or taking the bus with the car battery. An employee suggested that he could give me a ride home after he got off work in 20 minutes. I called a few of other businesses to find out their lowest price on a car battery and decided to go with the low price at AutoZone. An employee was going on another delivery an offer to not only take me home with my battery but to also put my bicycle in the back of the work vehicle. I cannot say how impressed I am that everyone went above and beyond their jobs and no one was acting selfishly or two me a bottom line for commissions. I truly think that the employees at AutoZone on South Duff have my business for the duration of my stay.

I came to replace a bad battery in a very cold and windy day. It took the mechanic (I wish I had asked for his name) about one and a half hours, because the battery was located in a place that was hard to reach. I wanted to observe the process to learn how this was done, but had to flee into the store after watching 30 minutes, because I was frozen. I grew up in a cold area and still could not stand the cold, but the mechanic patiently and carefully finished the job, all in the open air! I really appreciate the professionalism.

Guy was helpful and friendly. He did a bunch of tests on my battery for a couple hours and told me it was fine. My car still wouldnt hold a charge so we went to a different autozone and they told me the battery was terrible and needed replaced. Got a free replacement under warranty!

I came in trying to get a few parts for my 2001 Rav4, I understand it is older and finding parts is a little harder but the only had half the stuff I need in stock. The were fast about ordering the other stuff but turns out most of the parts I got from them were wrong and didnt fit my vehicle. I left disappointed and crossed the street to Advanced Auto, not only did they have my parts but had them installed for free before I was even done paying.

Our church bus wouldnt start after having a meal at Panera and getting ready to head back to Waterloo. Dave and Sarah went above and beyond in doing what they could to help us. This happened on June 26, 2019. They were part of the team of people God pulled together to get our people and our vehicle back home, and we appreciate them!

Not only does she treat minorities disrespectfully but treats her employees like crap right in front of customers. Be aware of this please. Great Place. You can ignore the negative review below, because that is far from the truth. The workers here were extremely helpful and very dedicated to properly implementing everything into your car. My man Bart at Autozone helped me for almost two hours in zero degree weather to get my battery properly replaced and the bracket fastened down. It was a 2005 Honda Pilot, and not only was the layout odd, but some of the bolts were rusted over. He never complained once, and didnt try and upsell me on things that I didnt need like some other places would. Not only does Bart deserve a fat raise, but you arent going to find better service in the area than you will at Autozone.

“Looked up” a part and it didn’t even come close to fitting. They then said they couldn’t take it on a return even though it was unused. They sent me back here 3 times to speak with “‘managers” and each person said it had to go to a different manager. This is why I go to oreillys
