Better than the local Wal-Mart for groceries and virtually the only alternative. Store could use some updates for sure. Be sure to check expiry dates on things. Seems to be short staffed the majority of the time.

I was in Altus today and decided to go into United to pick up a few things. I bought a package of meat to cook for tonight. Got home and it was spoiled, I called and the manager told me he would talk to the store in Mangum first and guess what, I didnt have to drive back to Altus. I just wanted to let everyone know the customer service in Altus and Mangum is great. Thank you so much

This store has real slow service, they have the staff, but cashiers move slow and have no sense of urgency. They only have 2 lanes open and 3 employees standing around but dont bother to open other lanes. And also , they dont have a a long counter like Walmart to place your groceries onto. You have to stand there and hold your items if you dont have a basket. They are higher priced than Walmart, comparable same brand is almost minimum 1 dollar higher to 2.00$ more. The one thing they do have is better brand of meat or variety, but you pay more. ..

I dont shop alot at this store cause of the high prices. Only thing I really buy is the eggs cuz they go on sale

The staff is always extremely friendly and always available for assistance. The produce section has fresh fruit and veggies at the most reasonable prices in town. The meat department has some nice looking selections, if you go on the right day they discount a lot of items.

Full sized market with a country store feel. Not a fancy place, in fact its a little setup worn, but the help are courteous, helpful, and the store is well stocked. The produce guy went to the back and got fresh jalapenos! Discounts for military on Mondays, seniors on Tuesdays, and theyll take your groceries to the car as a service.

Staff is friendly and helpful, you can always find someone to help if you have a question. The meat and produce are always good and fresh.

With all the recalls of beef going out on right now and United supermarket leaves raw beef in a basket for over 25 minutes that I was there. Not sure how long before I got there or after I left. All I can say is Wow

Mangum is small but this store is bigger than my store in a bigger town?

Lots of bargains for the food that you really want to eat. I prefer shopping there.

Thoroughly unimpressed with this store. Compared to other locations, they dont meet the Big Blue U standard. Ive never been greeted or asked if I had found everything I needed when beginning checkout. Most management seems more worried about their physical appearance and closing up than addressing customers needs, concerns, or issues. You hardly ever receive an accurate printout of your receipt because they dont train their younger employees how to feed the printer properly. Gone are the days where young men would carry out your groceries and return your basket. They cant leave their register, because they are the cashier, bagger, and still carry out upon request I assume. Produce isnt what it used to be. Like a snowball, headed for who knows where. Your better off driving to Hollis or Hobart for a hometown experience. If in Altus, walmart is your only worthwhile option.

Decent supermarket with all the staples you’re looking for. The produce department lacks variety so don’t expect multiple varieties of lettuce and such. The staff here is welcoming, friendly, and with a helpful attitude. The store is kept clean and items are generally easy to find. Depending on the time of day, the checkout queue can get quite long (time wise).

Honestly I think the prices are way to high and they carry limited merchandise. But they do have a very friendly staff, clean bathrooms, and a clean store. Also, there deli is very nice.

United is my place to go here in Altus for groceries and household supplies. With United and some Walgreens trips, Ive managed to not go to Wal-Mart since 2016!!! Being a single guy, Im able to get all the groceries i need with 1 stop. Good place to shop.

As soon as you walk in there has been an awful mildew smell for the past two months and it seems to disappear when you finally make it past the checkout registers. They usually have better deals than what Walmart in town offers and even if they dont, they will price match. I was sad when I found out the other one in town closed down.

Please disregard my name. I was shopping at this store earlier today and to my surprise my little brother was in the store as well. I spoke with him for a brief moment before a manager came to us and started disrespecting us. She told us to get our stuff and get out. To let everyone know this was in the middle of the day so the store was no were close to closing. I did respond with some volger words after she made a few extremely rude comments. I have never been disrespected like this ever before.

They had my frozen rhubarb so I can make my rhubarb banana jam and no one else has any in town. I am Happy.

It breaks my heart. I have been going to this grocery store for as long as I can remember and thats a long time being that I am in my early 50s. My family has been family friends with the Snells which established the United Supermarkets and I promise you that they would be ashamed of what this store has become. I have had one disappointing visit after another recently. There are probably 3 employees that care at all about customer service and satisfaction. I have been driving past Walmart for years to do business at United, but I think Im done.

I have shops the United Supermarket for over 31 years of my life in my hometown of Altus,Oklahoma always a great place to shop, people friendly.

Very friendly workers, always some kind of good sale going on, and the meat dept is fantastic!

Its an alternative to Wal-Mart if youre willing to trade prices for convenience.

There is an uncanny odor in the store which I have yet to figure out what that smell is nor where it comes from. Tonight on my visit to get 1 item I was met with two checkout clerks, one (apparent supervisor?) clerk that was buzzing around. One man 3 customers ahead of me said he timed his wait time at 45 minutes just to buy a loaf of bread. I waited at least 15 minutes. Right after the customer in front of me was being finished up, the one that had been buzzing around finally decided to start checking.😡 I mean seriously its like this just about every time I go in there. I only shop there as a convenience because Walmart is to far to drive for one item but I swear I rather drive further than spend a long time in lines waiting to check out.

Tired of paying United prices and the last four times carried my groceries out myself. Have to shop fast cause it smells so bad. Wish Altus United was as nice as the one in Vernon.

I have been here several times, and it is a very pro con place. meaning if you hate the crowds in larger establishments, (like Walmart) then this may be the place for you. however I have found it is a sort of gamble on meats and produce. You may get done of the best meats in altus here or they could end up rotting the day after you purchase it and its the same with the producePS. This hase happened only once but I thought it may be note worthy. I have purchased Jalapenos here for a very long time how ever that all changed when I purchased a lb of peppers here and after I cleaned them up with very hot water (which I suggest with all the produce purchased here) I had a allergic reaction to something on these peppers and it was one of the top 10 worst experiences I have had in my life

Never a great deal even the sales arent great . Produce , namely apples look old and wrinkled. Save a Lot being in Altus now may improve this United location since there is now more competition. I guess it is worth 3 stars

They have lots of Best Choice stuff, like Country Mart. The store want really new, but it is clean. It felt a bit small, the clerks and stockers were cool, but it seems to be located in a riff-raff area of sorts. I dunno, Im not familiar with Altus. Prices were so-so.
