Parking is a nightmare, too many truck drives not parking well to create space for other.Otherwise the flying j staff are very friendly and showers always clean.

Need to clean the shower rooms! Fan caked in something and the calcium and lime build up in the shower is getting out of hand! See pictures. Pilot you can do better!

Stopped in here the other day to get fuel, and boy has it gone downhill! Hadnt been in here in a while wont be stopping again! Filthy dirty disgusting fuel pumps and the store was filthy! theres weeds growing through all the cracks and garbage piled everywhere just an absolutely filthy disgusting place. But what do you expect when flying j takes over a truck stop dont take them long to ruin it

Women’s bathroom left something to be desired

This establishment is awesome!! This center is vast in size- if you get lost like I did navigating, pull out your compass!! Staff is wonderful and they dont emphasize on wearing mask!! Other truck stops do and its against our constitutional rights. Only issue I found, they dont have a variety of hot foods available. Otherwise, I highly recommend this stop. You wont be disappointed.

Entire facility could use a deep clean and disinfect. Otherwise, good selection and stellar staff. Staff was super helpful, & professional.

We stopped here on the way through town for gas and to use the restroom. It is a well kept facility, but the bathrooms need a good cleaning. The dirt is climbing up the walls from a mop slapping the walls and then the walls not being cleaned after words.I am impressed with the little game center that is set up. It gives a place you can take a 30 minute break, relax, have some fun, and recharge a bit before going and getting behind the wheel for another 8 hours.

I stopped here last night. I had an early morning delivery. I paid for a parking spot to ensure I had a place to park. This morning I went in to use the restroom and grab a breakfast sandwich. The restrooms are totally gross and out of toilet paper. I know they havent been cleaned in a very long time because the toilet seat covers was empty in two stalls. The maintenance guy was sitting on a golf cart in the parking lot smoking a cig. This was at 6 am on July 26 2021. Come on pilot, loves is really showing you guys up here.

Do not pay for Prime Parking!They don’t enforce it. You show up at midnight with prepaid Prime Parking just to find out all 50 spots are taken by people who don’t pay and there is no one to take care! And you have to leave!And this is a second time in a month!The other such location is Tulsa, OK!Pilot rips off their clients and does nothing to provide the service they were paid for!At the moment this is the worst of all the big truck stop chains!

The bathrooms were pretty dirty got here about 8pm, stayed until 7am and never were cleaned. Shower room was pretty bad also. You could tell the shower stall had not been cleaned from the last person. Thumbs down 👎for this place. But I love Flying Js.

This was a nice place with reasonably clean facilities. They have a diner, arcade, large store, restrooms and other amenities that come in handy while traveling. The parking lot was spacious with a separate section for trucks. The store manager didnt seem to pleased about me taking photos though. I dont know why though, there is nothing to hide.

Overall experience was good. But something wrong with the shower water system. I set up my shower water temperature to cold but it was changing frequently sometime hot 🥵 something cold 🥶. It can give you some burn marks be careful

I am a younger female. I had to go inside to use the restroom and get gas. As I was walking up to the door, there was a man walking out who stopped in his tracks to watch me go inside. As I predicted, he was waiting outside by the door when I was finished. This particular male worker was outstanding and made me feel safe. I asked him to watch me walk to my car to make sure I got there safely.. without hesitation he stood guard. If the owner reads this, he needs a raise.

As an african american woman it is always important to have someplace safe and friendly for my family to pull over at on trips. This place was clean, the workers were extremely pleasant and so helpful without cause! Great experience! Thank you for providing a safe and friendly environment for my family to stop!

Would Be a great place to build a truck stop. Neither apps for scale or fuel would work at this location. Had to change pumps as button for both tractor and reefer was worn through and would not work. Fuel island and parking lot are full of trash and doesnt look like they ever wipe anything down.Half the stalls in the ladies where locked with no one in them. Paper towels were out.Only saving grace is they have lots of parking.

I stop here frequently. Normally its not too bad, but the bathrooms are in need of cleaning most of the time. Tonight, no toilet paper...seat covers do the trick I guess.Big store, just not as clean as youd expect. Multiple truck pumps are usually open and they all pump fast.

Toilet paper out, need more attention on restroom.

Restaurant and showers and gas and coffee and everything youd want in a good pit stop. Open 24 hours and a great place to stop for a short break from a long trip.

Big old FJ. Its a monster, but a friendly one. Beacon next door, truck service, and big lot. The diner closed in December and the Burger King across the street is closed, but it still is a decent place for a stop.

Im an OTR driver. Place kind of has a rundown feel to it on the outside. Lot of folks come through here so bathrooms need constant attention...They werent bad today.Has a big truck parking lot which is why I come here. This is one of the few places to park near Des Moines.Im only 15 minutes to my delivery in Des Moines from here.The trucking entrance is not well designed and congested. The line up to the truck wash just adds more chaos. You will have to allow 5 to 10 minutes to get off the expressway ramp, then down around to the truck entrance.

Very disgusting ladies washroom for 2 days. I had to stay on truckstop for 2 days and they were same for 2 days including overnight and no one cleaned any one out of 5 of them.

Nice people. Showers upstairs, clean facilities. A few slot machines downstairs, you win store credit. Casino is about a 10 minute walk.

2 hours for an oil change and still counting the time. I will never stop here again!!!

Workers doesn’t wear masks properly (covered only mouth).Most of visitors without masks.I have been drive to truck stop to refuel diesel. The pump #21 did not work and did not respond. I asked the workers to reset(restart) the system and check the fuel pump, they answered to do it on the pump myself. When I told them that there was a problem with other pumps, they answered me very rudely that I was trying to pester them with a non-existent problem and others drivers were refueling without problems. The problem was with certain pumps.Needs to improve customer service at this location.

They have the best coffee (in my opinion). We visit flying j/pilot more than any other truck stop as we pickup and drop loads all over the continental US. The bathrooms and showers are always clean, the customer service is always top notch, friendly and helpful. They are pretty consistent from location to location with the service and products and with the app we can see the sales and offers and reserve our showers with ease. Thanks to all the employees of flying j & pilot truck centers for you courteous service and friendly demeanors! Thats is what keeps us loyal to you.

Its old . the parking lot is filthy smells are random as you walk. They dont clean outside much .. Maybe the weather.. There are a lot of showers sitting area upstairs driver only spot . arcade. No dennys nothing .. Gas station food....has shop walk the whole perimeter twice its 2 miles. No gym.. Looks like it was something else before. Staff seems okay. Drivers act like chieftains 👀 at each other barely talk

Have everything a fuel stop usually has ,employees are helpful and courteous, easy to navigate fuel islands, and there is a truck wash ,hand wash with well trained employees who know drivers are on schedules

Pilot and Flying J Showers have gone down the drain!! Floors are never swept. Showers clogged. Just hope and pray I get a pilot with hot water. Disgrace

A continuation of a sad story highlighting how Pilot / Flying J has once again run a once good truck stop into the ground. The restaurant is permanently closed. The only food available is the same nasty, greasy, fried food they grill nation wide. The salads looked old and withered. The soup bar looked the same. The staff could less if youre there or not. The upstairs was filthy and in disrepair.

This Flying J rocks its huge and has everything you could need. Need big Flying J in the West

You have cars that take up space and are in the way.Would not doubt at night theyll knock on your truck asking if you want company. They need to patrol the area even during the day. Nasty is an understatement.

Place is a pig pen, showers are nasty. My towel was stinky. Floors are filthy. Walls are filthy. Loves just beats Flying J all to pieces anymore.

I can’t believe how dirty this place is. I’m a truck driver and depend on the truck stops to be clean. I told the cashier that the place was a mess and needed cleaned she told me to have a nice day! It’s Like in my opinion they don’t care how dirty the place is. And this isn’t the first time I’ve stopped here.

Went in to get my cat scale ticket and the lady at the cinnabon counter offered to ring me up. She was super sweet and I talked to her for longer than I usually talk to people. Sometimes we miss good human interaction out here on the road. Sylvia was very refreshing to talk to. Hope she gets some recognition for being so sweet.

Due to COVID-19 this location as opted to close the fuel island store permanently. Absolutely not caring about the truckers that stop to spend 100s in fuel. Pumps are old and semi functional.

Bathrooms were disgusting. No food prepared and available at 11 PM do yourself a favor go to another gas station management and employees not on top of it at this location.

The showers are nice and clean. Shower maintenance tried to enter my shower with out knocking. Thankfully I had the door Latch on. As soon as the door shut I could hear laughing, so Im not sure if someone put someone up to opening my door but its not appreciated. Thankfully my company lets me fuel where I like to fuel. I dont think ill stop here again

This flying j is not RV friendly do not stop here if you are pulling a car theres actually no room at the pumps flying j should remove this from their list as RV friendly.

Parking is mainly reserved dirty bathrooms and parking lot and typical flying j pre packaged food restaurant has been closed for over a year

Place needs remodeling like TLC. The defunct Maxs Roadside Diner looks like Abandoned Business. In the hallway b4 the restrooms and Maxs Diner, the tables need to be CLEANED and saw overflowing garbage at trash can. Will MR PILOT and MS. JAY bring a restaurant in soon??

15 shower , 3 guest in front to me , i waited 1 hour 30 min. Bad service

Showers are as usual, a little luke-warm during peak hours. Wifi is great, as long as you are in the perfect spot (back of the lot, facing the pole with the white box). Feels a little run down, but the older building IMO is a nice change from the usual cookie cutter layouts.

Edited past review.Showers were nice and clean with solid water pressure.Just watch out as the temp can swing to burning hot for a sec or two.

Billion dollar company won’t fix keypads on the pumps

Stood in line to get food, the cashier stood my pizza up vertical in the bag so I asked if she would reposition them so the toppings wouldnt fall off. She got offended saying Im not a professional bagger. While minding my own buisness interacting with this cashier, a customer was trying to get me outside to fight him, because of his distaste for my complaint with this cashier. The manager stood by the entire time and did nothing to stop what was going on, neither the threats from the other patrons or to her employees. Great job Flying J.

I like this fuel stop. Could be a little cleaner but it is better than a lot of the others.

Good selection in the store and friendly customer service, however the floor and bathroom was very dirty and the shower was by far the worst one iv experianced. The temperature fluctuated wildly from cold to scalding hot and the water pressure was so bad it was difficult to rinse.

Big parking lot, during the week completely full around 10 p.m.

The store is great! The place is clean and employees were friendly and professional. My experience in the shop wasn’t as pleasant. I Checked in approximately 1530, was told it’d be a couple hrs. I returned a few hrs later and was told that yes company gave authorization. I waited on the young lady and man behind the counter to type up the paperwork. They printed it out and continued with their personal conversation. I asked what they wanted me to do and after a few minutes they told me to back up to a shop bay and so I did. After sitting there for 4hrs and no word or work from anybody I decided it was time to call my company and call it a night. I waited 7 hrs and not 1 employee helped to fix my problem. Had I not come back inside after the first 3 hrs I would have finished my 10 with no call. My issue was never addressed or diagnosed. The two employees working the counter should be retrained, and I think a few more technicians could be added to the shop staff.

I hate giving a bad report but the shower maintenance guy here absolutely hates cleaning the showers. It took me about 6 visits to this location to figure it out but thats my conclusion. He hates it and wont do it until hes forced to do it. Everything else here seems to be fine. My low star rating is based specifically on my last 6 times here and singling out the showers.

The worst customer service available. I will never forget how I was treated here. No team shower charges 24.00. Thank God for kind people fellow truck driver helped us out. Both of the ladys working 06/26/200 at 12am have poor customer service skills. The heavy set lady just rolled her eyes. She was still talking trash when we left the counter. We spend money at various locations wont come back here ever. Bathroom is nasty Im glad I have my own lysol spray

As a driver I like waking up to a nice hot shower to start my day. But I guess here they ranit if showers because no one there to clean them.

Bathrooms havent been cleaned right in a long time! Disgusting! I spend thousands every month on fuel at flying J and pilots. But waiting for showers for way to long just for them to be dirty with no hot water might change tho. These pictures are from every stall in the mens room. Whoevers job it was to clean them should be fired along with their supervisor.. Js. I will delete this when my unpleasant experiences have been rectified.

Typical flying j, fuel is overpriced by 30 cents per gallon, scuttle any sign of a decent cafe, we cant have drivers eating decent food out here, grab one of those day old dogs a slice of greasy pizza leave your 500 dollars for fuel and get out!!

Huge truck stop! Multiple driver lounge areas. Plenty of pumps bathrooms looked renovated. Not sure about showers. They have hot food and pizza not sure about any restaurants looks like they had one and it was closed. They even have a video game room. Overall really nice place!

The inside of this location is absolutely disgusting. The food in the deli case looks like its been sitting there all day. The restrooms were sickening and more than one stall out of paper. The efficiency of the check out process is awful and the parking lot... the parking lot is horrendous.I wont ever be back and I will go hungry tonight because I refuse to attempt to eat the disgusting garbage they pass for food. I wouldnt even park here if I had a choice.

Horrible cashier EVER!!!I asked to buy a chicken tenders and that young lady with blinking label hello on her, told me back: Chicken tenders WHAT?!? I just refused to buy a food from her and this location generally. After me some family asked her for something, i didnt hear what exactly, and she again: WHAT!?!?So please, do your training well, because that crew is a joke. No one normal guy who have some dignity cant deal with attitude like this.

Ton of parking truck and trailer wash in same lot, ton of showers. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Staff are pleasant. Food there is always well stocked and fresh. The lot does smell like a toilet and could use more trash receptacles.

This is unbelievable!! If the diner is closed you guys should not have on google! We have been driving for so long , and soon as you search for food....that’s the dinner that shows up. Then you finally think you will get some good food, find parking for your truck , get ready to shower....and soon as you done.....they tell you the restaurant is closed. So now , you screwed!!! Shelly unfriendly unhygienic didnt wear a mask and was caught WIPING HER NOSE without glovws on and did not clean her hands either. Would highly advise to stay away from her.

This gas station was amazing. It has a seating area with tv. Tire repair area. Tons of showers on the second floor. Very clean bathrooms. Also its a very huge place with places to eat. Very nice and I loved it. The people who work their are also polite and helpful. Although the seating area is closed off right now because of Covid-19. The showers are still open

Staff is very rude. Place was a complete mess, and looks very run down. Cant even do laundry because the machines only accept quarters, and they refuse to give out change because of this lie that theres a change shortage. They tell you to use the change machine, which by the way is out of service. Worst experience ever, and will never stop at this place again.

I am traveling with my son and the Flying J was clean, friendly, and provided some small entertainment for him some we forgot to bring toys. He won a handful of toys from the arcade games. Were very happy with our experience. Its a one stop place that provided a lot, and made the most sense for time efficiency.

Big store, lots of parking. But we went in at 4 AM to get a shower and the area was a disaster. Looks like no one bothered to clean showers overnight. There are 18 showers and they were ALL dirty, no one around. Waited 40 minutes to get a shower. In this business we dont have that kind of time.

This is a large and very nice truck stop. The bathrooms were well above average for such an establishment. Although they have the usual gas station fare as far as eating, the on site restaurant appears to be closed for some reason. They have a fun arcade if you need something for the kids to do while you take a break from driving.

It was very pleasant, good service very friendly staff there. Nice drivers lounge with three TVs, lots of parking available. Theres a McDonalds across the way, blue beacon truck wash, Boss Shop, and a motel six if you dont want to stay in your truck to sleep.

The showers are cold there is no where to way besides the normal soup chicken and pizza that all flying j offer but dont have everything that flying j offer cause they dont have mashed potatoes or Mac and cheese. I went to get biscuits and gravy and no biscuits I let them know they where out and they still didnt even offer to put any out let alone just go put some out for people then you have different price on the same thing. Coffee was all old (besides the freshly ground selects you can choose) the shower had someones soap from before left in there and they said it was clean. I wont be back to this place

Employees are very rude & do not want to work I assume. The restroom hasnt been cleaned in at least 3 days. The upstairs womens longer. Dont try a shower here its warm then scalding back & forth. They have great gas at a great price however doesnt make up for the lack of hot food offered. Used to be a nice place with a movie theater & Grandma Maxes was great restaurant now a rest area is better! Employees need behavior training as they deal with lots of diverse people

If you are concerned about Covid DO NOT go here. None of the employees have masks covering there face, just around there neck. If you arent concerned about it then this is your spot.

Nice place to stretch your legs after a long drive. I love the restaurant attached it has the best food! The travel center even has rented showers for truckers, I dont know if thats just a trucker thing or not but still a feature I havent seen elsewhere.

Friendly staff even with the virus bs. Big parking lot. The shower had bursts of scalding hot water but grateful to get one. Restaurants nearby, even BBQ. Burger King is gone though :( . Definitely not a bad experience

Showers run at the temperature you set ... for about three minutes. Then, it goes to scalding hot, freezing cold, hot, cold, warm, then back to what you had set. This recurs fairly regularly. The restaurant is shuttered. This place has really gone downhill. Used to be one of the best truckstops around.
