What a unique comic store. Didnt even buy anything this time around, but a fun atmosphere, helpful staff, and many unique items and comic collections

Doesnt focus on old comics like the name would make you think. Have mainly marvel and dc comics.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. And if you call ahead, they can let you in the side door (along 12th Street), if you need wheelchair access.

Very friendly. I was in town from Ohio and thought I would stop by and check it out. Its worth checking out. Ill be stopping in again when Im in Altoona.

You will never find a friendlier lgs or a more respectable owner theres not alot worth seeing in altoona but this is worth a look

I got three comic books for a nice price. The store is really clean and set up for easy browsing. I would definitely buy from this place again.

I was in there a couple days ago, the shop is gorgeous. Like youre stepping in a mini comic-con. The owner is friendly, informative but not the least bit pushy. They had everything I needed and more. Thank you for helping me complete my collection.

This is an actual historic bank complete with a heavy old bank vault. There is a great assortment of comics, memorabilia, and a thriving gaming community. I want to move to Altoona now. 💜

Stopped by this store randomly on my way through town. Very cool setup inside of an old bank. Seems like they have a focus on MTG. They had lots of cgc graded comics. I was lucky enough to grab a couple signed copies of the new TMNT story line.

Great selection of comics and figures, also a ton of signed slabs, on top of everything, Neil is very helpful and all around great guy.

Felt like a museum rather than an actual store. If I could give lower than 1 star I would. The R/C cola of comic book stores

Been going to this fine establishment ever since it opened. Neil, the owner, provides a great environment and community for many popular card games and comics. Has a wide variety of comic books, collectible figurines, cards, and even graded comic books. Highly recommend The Comics Vault to anyone, young or old. Amazing place overall.

Neil is one of the most humble, yet amazing shop owners in downtown. You wont be disappointed if you shop here. Hes knowledgeable, friendly and creates an amazing playing atmosphere for locals.

This place always has what Im looking for, but on the off chance he doesnt, hes happy to try and get it for you. He hosts trading card game nights and tournaments. He is always having a drawing for awesome loot. The atmosphere is so nerdy and inviting. I love it! I go multiple times a week.

The owner is a superb host with a warm personality and the store has a friendly air to it with many happy customers myself included.

Great place..Lots of good stuff. If you a comic lover and you in Altoona, PA this is a must stop in place. I dont live here but I know Im coming back and buying lots of goodies..friendly and nice owner by the way..and as my daughter mention to me. Lots of signer happening there..

Very cool comic shop with a collection of back issues as well as new comics, toys, t shirts, etc. Owner is extremely nice and helpful - obviously a fan of comics and pop culture himself. They run Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, chess, and other gaming on a weekly basis and occasionally bring in comic creators to do assert and sign autographs. Everything a comic store ought to be.

Great place and service! Neil is phenomenal and knows his stuff. Great for kids and adults. Something going on almost every day.

My favorite shop to play magic the gathering at. Owner is super friendly. Store is amazing to walk through and check out. An old bank thats been turned into an institution for comic memrobila and collectables. Check out the old bank vaults located around the shop and look at all the statues, and custom pieces and covers done by numerous artists.
