You know what I love most about Home Depot? They always have in stock what Lowes is out of it. Their prices are usually lower as well. This Home Depot is always laid back. Not too crowded. Always someone to help if needed. So depending on what you need this Home Depot might be the best option for you.

We are at HD constantly, and I felt bad I never gave a review. We have used HD for so many things: major construction, new appliances, Christmas Decor, landscaping, small projects, buying tools, and have been in every part of it several times. Every single time the staff have been so friendly! You can usually get assistance immediately when needed. Many times if you look a little confused or unsure, they are always coming by and asking if you need anything. 100% of the time we have been greeted, saw friendly staff, and had expedient check out. Thanks all at Altoona Home Depot!

Greatest store ever! This Home Depot is kept spotless. It is the only home improvement store that I havent felt like I needed a shower when I leave. Things are not covered with dust or look like theyve been sitting on shelves since last century. I liken it to browsing in a fine department store. Also, they have some harder to find items. We travel an hour to this location and Home Depot is always tops on our list. We have an upcoming home project and have chosen some items that only Home Depot carries so we will be going back---with our truck this time. Also, if you think you can find any paint that beats Behr paint or stain, it aint gonna happen. We bought their best outdoor paint this trip for one of our outbuildings in the fall. Also, I need to say that the employees are helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this store!

I bought a washer and dryer here and paid cash. The representative told me it would be delivered in 10-14 days. At day 15 I called. Home Depot stated it hadnt left the manufacturer and I may receive in 2 weeks. I explained that they failed to hold up their end of the agreement and I expected compensation for the cost of using a laundromat while I waited for their product. Home Depot stated no compensation would be made. Later that evening I received a call that they were able to re-route a unit and have delivery tomorrow. The delivery driver showed up with his dog and let him out on my property. If that wasnt enough, the machine was completely wrecked. It appears they re-routed a returned machine. The store management takes no responsibility and only offers me the same machine - now 3 week from today. Terrible service. These stores have gone down hill. DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT.Update: The store just called and said theyd rather refund me the money than make right on the purchase. PEOPLE: STOP LETTING THESE LAZY, GREEDY, INEFFICIENT, INCOMPETENT CORPORATIONS KEEP SCREWING YOU. STOP BUYING FROM HOME DEPOT AND OTHER LARGE CORPS. GO LOCAL.

Bought a GE washer from them with an extended warranty and it broke after 6 weeks . Its been a week and my washer still isnt fixed nor will they return it! Dont buy anything here !!!Edit another week has went by and again no contact from GE Ive spoken to the Store Manager several times and he seems to be a nice gentleman and wants to help NOTHING! At what point do you just not replace the washer?

Absolutely worst experience buying a new fridge! We all work until 2pm and we have no refrigerator until they could deliver. We called the number provided to us by Home depot the day before delivery and told them we cant have it delivered until after 2. The delivery team called at 12 and left no number to call back and said they were 20mins away. When ordering the fridge we also told the person to put in the delivery notes that no one will be here UNTIL 2PM!! Nothing is communicated between the store this random number they had us call and the delivery team. Come to find out they are an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR not even associated with home depot!!! This was an absolute mess and will NEVER recommend buying from Home Depot again.

They were busy in the garden center. The one cashier encouraged some of the 6 different people waiting in the line to go to the self checkout if they could just use their card instead of cash. I was too lazy to load up 50qt of potting soil onto a cart so I just waited in the line behind two customers ahead of me to ask if she could ring me up. She was friendly and could key in my soil without the barcode to scan. I also asked if it was ok to move my vehicle to pick up the soil afterward. Aside from the wait with people in line before me, it was a good experience overall. Got a 5lb box of miracle grow for $10 which is a bargain when about 1lb costs about $6 - and 50qt potting soil for $15. Lots of good selections of plants. Various vegetables and lots of other plants like hydrangeas and roses. Some new guinea impatiens looked terrible, like they got frosted, but everything else freshly watered and healthy looking. People were buying. No one was masking inside or out.

We stopped in looking for a toothbrush holder and they only had 2 really bad choices. I guess for some things Home depot is a good place but just not toothbrush holders.

Picked up a hard to find item...1/4drywall. Needed more than what was in the bin. Associates were gid to restock quickly and help us get on our way fast. Painless through the checkout. Another associate helped in the parking lot. Thanks Home Depot! Ill be back!

The staff is very helpful. Nice and cozy inside. They have competitive prices and stock on things not available at other hardware stores. The shopping experience here is very enjoyable and I am always asked if I can be helped by staff. Love it here.

Always a good experience when i have to visit the depot... One other thing i want to add is that i recently downloaded the home depot app to my phone and it is nothing short of amazing.....it is super convenient to be able to shoo and pay for your supplies at your own convenience the. It is no more than a five minute grab and dash on the way home from work to pick up your stuff. I highly recommend tryi g the app if you havent already

Great place to get anything you need to get your projects done. Staff is always friendly in here and usually ask me first if I need help. Online pick up is pretty good. I use that service when Im in a hurry. I have lowes down street but usually go here cause prices are usually better and everything I have electric tools are Dewalt and ryobi and this place sells both. Have great deals usually every holiday which is nice. Great store and great deals and products which will make me coming back when in need of stuff.

Ive had some issues in the past with ordering items. They would call to have me come pick up the items. Then the items would not be there ...BUT they have been doing a better job lately! Good Job HD!

Found the item we wanted, the staff was overhelpful even going upfront and getting us a cart.

Cashier was so polite. Went in there to get some stakes. Shows they have 62 even the cashier said so. Cashier sent my husband to the back of the store for them and he couldnt even get any help or find them. Lousy service. My husband said he waited about 10-15 minutes on someone and they never showed up. And I thought you were supposed to get a military discount.

Terrible customer service. Do not order a refrigerator from them that needs the icemaker installed. This is the second icemaker that has been ordered, and it is still not right. I need the correct icemaker for my model of refrigerator ordered. I have no idea what that is. Home Depot ordered the original one and it was not correct, GE ordered the second one and it is not correct. I ordered this refrigerator in January, and it was delivered in early April, and it is now June and I still do not have the icemaker that I paid for.

Today was a great visit! Christina helped me make a return, apply for a credit card and order a vanity! Kevin helped me find everything I needed and Yvonne was the sweetest cashier! Usually going to a home improvement store is stressful but not today!

It was pretty decent until the self check out started screaming customer needs assistance at self check out for a good 5 mins. It went down hill rather quickly from there. The nice lady with the pin number to shut the sqwak box off was very helpful, she was very nice too.

They have what you need. Employee help is 50/50. One was extremely helpful and helped me find the item. The other employee just gave me an isle number and walked away. 🤷‍♀️

Had them measure my house for carpet, they came up with 124 sqyrds, fine. So we go to pay for it and they want to charge us for 160 sqyrds, fine but can anyone tell me why I all of the sudden need 36 more square yards of carpet? Nobody can give me an answer. Had another business come out and they are doing it with 130 sqyrds. Be careful! 36 yrds of carpet is ALOT of carpet!

We are currently building our own home, and have made a multitude of visits to HD, Lowes, and other product suppliers. Every single time that weve been to HD, Service has sought us out and asked if we are finding what we need and can they help. The answer is always an unequivocal:YES! Yes, please help us. Help us understand...help us find...help us decide between...just...help us! And they do. And if they cant help, they call someone. Weve been so impressed with thier willingness to make the customer happy and to best meet our needs. Ive been so impressed that when an item⁰ may likely be at more than one location, and regardless of the price, we will choose HD. Stores need to realize that people long for great customer service. We dont even mind paying a tiny bit more in support of the right system.

National Company with Local management Local employees and undependable services that makes your jobs more difficult if not impossible: Why they require non-disclosure agreements when they screw up and they bounce you back and forth for months on end in the hidden cost of doing corporate business.TIP do not use their financing credit card services as they have terms written into it that are not in regular credit card terms as they own it and use it to pressure you to give, and keep their costs down , though other companies fiance the purchases.

I had been at Lowes to look at sliding glass doors for a home project. Waited 20 minutes and no help, even after approaching an employee in another dept to page for help. Another customer and I both have punched the help button. I left, went to Home Depot, within 3 minutes of being the store, one employee asked if I needed help, I said yes in the sliding glass doors. He had Heather help me. She answered my questions, showed different selections ,provided pricing and literature. She set up a free visit to have the door measured. Lowes just lost a 20+ year customer. Home Depot is customer friendly. 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Zero stars for zero customer service. Placed a order via phone for same day pick up. Only to arrive at the store location to find out the item customer service was holding for me was sold to someone else before I arrived. Also, no attempts were made to remedy the situation. And, furthermore no apologies were given. Again, zero stars would be my rating if it were possible for Home Depot in Altoona Pennsylvania.

I was very uncomfortable in the store as there was absolutely no effort to encourage customers to wear masks. If you want something at the state store, you wear a mask or opt for curbside. What is so difficult about no mask, no service?

Great home improvement store and the employees are knowledgeable. The parking lot is one of the many dispicable feats of engineering design in this city. so this is the reason I take away a star because I get stressed out every time I pull in.

I ordered a generator for my home. Went to the store to pick it up. Employee asked if I still wanted it because it came in dented. Of course I didnt so had to reorder it. Picked up an air conditioner yesterday that I ordered, got it home and opened the box. The side of the air conditioner was completely dented in but box has nothing wrong with it. Took it back to store which is a 45 minute drive. Home Depot could do nothing about it except reorder the air conditioner which is going to take another two weeks to come in. No gift card, no percentage off, nothing.Their customer service is terrible. In the past year we have spent alot of money there because we purchased a new home. No more. We will spend our money elsewhere.

Went there to buy a shower kit and washer and dryer. Out of stock on WD hey it happens. Went to bath for shower. Noone around but saw several groups of employees chatting with each other. Could not get help for 15 minutes. Ended up calling the store customer service to ask to get someone to assist me. Once again out of stock. Ended up getting both at Lowes. No problem getting help.

Employees are friendly and helpful! Had exactly what we were looking for! Flowers! No other place seems to have any that are alive other than mums.

I usually love home depot. But this was a terrible experience, placed an online order (which I have done countless times) stopped the next day to pick it up. The customer service individual told me none of my order was pulled because they didnt have room to store it once it was pulled. Very frustrating when I allotted a 10 min process in my schedule and instead turned into an hour process.

I always fine what I need at a decent price. And the people that help you are always so nice, they also give you tips and great suggestions for new DIY people like me!
