If you are looking to purchase any trading card game cards, such as Magic: The Gathering, do NOT try and buy them from this store, and probably not from a Target store in general. My wife and I were going to buy around a dozen packs of JumpStart cards, and were told at the register that we would only be able to buy 3 packs. We informed the employee that there was no sign posted starting this policy, otherwise we would not have tried to buy such a quality. A manager was called, but at no time was it ever acknowledged that no sign was posted, but were just told that thats been the policy. There were no apologies, and I now realize why their stock of Magic cards was so high; THEY DONT ACTUALLY WANT TO SELL THEM TO PEOPLE. Have fun with that, Target of Alton. Try some actual customer service next time.

Been going in here for years (never because I wanted to, just the closest place) and dont think Ive ever met a nice employee here. Heads down, frowning, avoiding interactions with customers at all cost. Ask someone something and they get passive aggressive. Not to mention the store is as run down as anything despite their prices being 1.5x Walmart/Amazon. If you like a depressed shopping experience similar to what you might find in North Korea, this is your place.

Convenience. I love Target drive up pickup. Items are ready quickly and you dont have to pick them up that day if you cant.

The store is neat and clean and, thankfully, products are seldom rearranged, making it easy to navigate the store.

Restrooms were closed and products were cheap and overly priced. No customer service or associates available to help find anything. Will not be returning.

With remodeling store no one knows where anything is and trying to find someone is near impossible Even with them helping I’m glad I looked online to see thy carried what I was looking for but what should have been in &out turned into 20 minutes and checking out that’s a story a in it’s self 1 lane open wanted everyone to self checkout no thanks just left work not going to take someone else job

The store is clean, organized and products are easy to find. I use a mobility scooter and the isles are nice and wide. the staff are courteous and informed as to where to find products. I see the staff disinfecting the check out lanes after each use, another plus to me. I feel that Target truly cares about its customers and encourages them to return. I will.

Quick easy process and good service

Easy order and easy pick up right at the front of the store! I was right in and back out in less than 5 minutes. They have this working.

Being able to order items for two families (mine and my parents) has made my grocery shopping so much easier!!!! I order everything I can using the Target app for drive up/pick up! Saves me so much time and cart space at the grocery store. The associates at my Target are awesome! So thankful for this service!

Ordering was easy. Pick up was easy. Service was pleasant. Only thing is I had to wait a while to be acknowledged by anyone. An employee who was outside ended up coming inside seeing me wait (I was the only one in line) and offered to help me.

Miss Pat at the check out was a rock star. She has checked me out before but today she just made the process so fun! She made sure all the scan area was clean so one customer didn’t pass on a virus, she was patient, organized, and had it all under control - even when another customer behind me didn’t want to follow the social distancing rules and signs. She treated him with respect and authority! Her megawatt smile just brightened my day! She was even patient with me while I couldn’t figure out if I had given her the right amount of money🤪! We had a good laugh and conversation! We need more people like her!

I hate that one competitor store that everybody feels they need to go to for one reason or another. I on the hand love Target, and can usually find exactly what I need with little or no problems.

Usually has what you need, pretty clean. Not the most advanced target. Theres no pharmacy, no Starbucks, no photo center, no optometrist. But there is a place for food and there is self check out. They have a place for sanitation wipes but they were out. Over all good shopping experience

I frequently shop at the Alton Target. Its convenient and Target carries just about everything I need. The staff is always very courteous and friendly!

OH.MY.GAWD. If you havent used Targets drive up service, you gotta do this. Kids in the car? Tired after a long day? Got the top down and dont want to put it back up? This is the way to get your shampoo, laundry detergent, and paper towels bought, paid for, and delivered to your car while you sit in it! And ending today, 9/7 you get a $10 gift card just for trying this out.

This location is pretty well organized and clean. They normally dont have many employees at the registers but when they notice customers accumulate they tend to be pretty quick about opening new ones. Although Target isnt a full blown grocery store, the produce isnt very well stocked. Overall havent had any issues and am happy to do my shopping with this company over other chains.

The employees are fantastic and the bathrooms are great. I can get good clothes here for cheap-ish and food as well. All-around a great place.

I want to love Target, especially this Target. But what I really love and miss is the Target of 10 years ago. Store is clean just like all Targets, but stocking is an issue for some of my key household items. Stocking on grocery, especially fresh produce can be an issue as well, especially on the weekend. Target, as a company, needs to commit to having more bodies to staff the stores. Its very difficult to find someone to help should you need it, and always a longer wait than necessary to checkout. What ever happened to 1+1?

This is an older target with a limited selection. Even though they are in Illinois they only stock Cardinals stuff. Not one single cubs item in the store, even though the local Walmart has both. No Starbucks in the store. Very limited Womens clothing select. The staff however are wonderful. The store just needs a makeover. It is terribly outdated.
