I really like this little hardware store. Its well stocked with just the right stuff not a lot of fluff and not half hardware half do dads and decorations. Theyre helpful and usually have some interesting stuff in here you cant find in the big box stores.

Pamela was awesome ! She went out of her way to help find just the right screwdriver and battery for my key fob that locked me out of my car across the street at Publix!She was a gem and they are just so helpful!I can’t recommend more!

They had the mower I was looking for in stock just as they promised when I called. It was a long drive from Tucker to Alpharetta/Forsyth but manager was friendly and helpful along with associate that helped to load the mower on the truck.

Just like you treat customers... no service no ( no cero but ) no rating. Guy dont care about stihl products. He said if we dont have it.. means dont sell stihl company must know about this.

Need that weird piece of hardware? That threaded insert, t-nut, or other odd bit? Theres a good chance they have it. Theyre not a big box store with lots of the same thing. Theyre the genuine local hardware store with a bit of everything.

My fav store...with an excellent and knowledgeable hardware staff. I try and find any excuse to pop in there just to chalk up another wonderful shopping experience.

This store is a GREAT addition to our neighborhood! Not only are they well stocked with all kinds of items, they are very knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. We have never had any issues getting assistance and it is much more convenient and easier to get in and out of than the big box stores in my area.

Ace is the place where they always charge you more.... But, they have hard to find gaskets.

This is my go to for random bits and pieces of hardware. I have yet to not find whatever weird nut/bolt/spring/hinge I was looking for. Employees are very helpful. Especially when you are looking for that random odd part among the thousands they have!

Its amazing what you can find in their nuts and bolts section! Its pricey but better selection than home depot and Lowes. When you need it you need it, and for the most part they have it.

Love this ace! Im not sure how they do it but the store is always staffed by a large number of teenage kids and I have never encountered one that was anything other than courteous, friendly and professional. A very rare thing these days. Well done.

Bought 2 new Stihl products, at a great price. Got a medium size chainsaw and a large heavy-duty backpack blower. The guys at Ace were helpful and nice.

It is never so easy to find stuff in the Ace hardware stores.

You have to love the smaller hardware stores its like a mom and pop store. There is staff that walk around and really help you find things. They have really cool things you wont find at lowes or home depot.

There is always someone there to answer questions and to find exactly what you want for your job. You can buy screws, nuts and bolts from just 1 to any other amount you fancy. Good people too.

Ashar or whatever his name is is a useless person. Im not coming back to fill propane in this store.

Quick and efficient staff that methodically get business done which more than makes up for that horrendous parking lot.

They have a sign on the front door stating that “masks are mandatory” but yet 2 employees in mower repair section were not wearing masks at all! These 2 people were also rude and do not know small engine repair at all! Go elsewhere......the employees in the hardware section are always helpful and polite! Shame the employees in the engine repair shop are so bad.

They always have what we need for our homes in thus area.good group of people.

Home Depot and Lowes obviously have everything. Its a little known fact that Ace does too. They may not have it on hand, but they can get it for you and you dont get lost in the crowd doing it. The folks there test you like youre there only customer in the store. They arent trying to run off to someone else or run off to break. If you need something, dont ignore Ace. They probably have what you need.

Top notch service - wow. This is an example of the way capitalism is supposed to work.There was a miscommunication resulted an ordered item not being ready when I arrived at the store to pick it up. Rather than make me wait, the assistant manager Steve delivered it to my house the next day - in person. Amazing.

Convenient location and good service!

Unfortunately will not be returning to this location. The gentleman in the engine repair shop was not only rude but unprofessional as well. Was nearly impossible to get in touch with him and had to communicate with only the associates in the “main” store.

We lost a few of our Adirondack chairs in the storm and went into this location to replace. They were locked outside with a wire so I could not try sitting in to to see how reclined they are. I asked if they could unlock so I could test one and they would not unlock them unless I purchased them first. They lost a sale and I will not be coming back here.

I love this Ace Hardware location. They’ve got great stuff and friendly service. I tell all my friends to get away from the giant box hardware stores and shop local here at Ace Hardware Midway in Forsyth County. All the employees and management here have always been really friendly and make lookin for what you need simple.

Found something which I couldnt find in the competition store. I feel its little bit on the Expensive side. There is always a cost for convince.

I mean, its Ace Hardware. They literally have everything. But the teenagers that work here lack experience. Theyre all nice and polite and professional, just young.

Better than average product selection and definitely above average sales help. At the big box stores I am used to being sent to a particular aisle when I seek help but here the employees actually go out of their way to help you.

I purchased 8” straight pipe about one month ago at Midway location and now I need 8” elbow so I called to ask if there was one in stock because Hwy 20 store was sold out the employee on phone with me said they do not stock any 8” pipe at all. I asked when did they stop carrying 8” stove pipe and pp that is when employee hang up phone with no goodbye or try again later it was just click. This is only the second problem I’ve had with any ACE HARDWARE but both times was at Midway location.

Lots of friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good selection of parts. Its nice to walk into a store and get personal attention with somebody who understand the trade helping you find what you need. Totally won over, I have a new hardware store.

Excellent customer service. The store is well staffed, and every employee is knowledgeable and courteous. Things are ready to find, well organized. They even offer free popcorn and coffee!

People there actually want to help you and know how to solve your problem. Easy to find all those pieces and parts you want for home repairs. In and out is a breeze... unlike the big box stores. I have found comparable pricing, too.

I dont usually leave reviews but their service was top notch. Because of the COVID situation I cant really interact with people and have to protect myself.I called them and told them if they could take my card over phone and charge it, so I can come in my truck and they can just load the item I bough straight onto to my truck bed. They took care of my request and I didnt have to talk to people or get out of my truck.

Great to have this little hardware store local now. Went in for a few things we needed while fixing up our new house. Even paint!! The kids love the free popcorn and the gum ball machine:)

Best hardware store in Forsyth! Fantastic products and service. The Sthil sales people are some of the most knowledgeable around!

Staff is very helpful. A while back they had a real stocking issue but theyve definitely fixed that. All in all I head here before I go to Home Depot for things they dont carry.

Placed an online order for pickup. Was emailed within an hour stating it was ready to be picked up and drove over one hour there the next day to pick up my item only to be told they dont have it. This was after ordering and after the order was pulled. Another Ace store an hour away had the item but they couldnt transfer my order to them becuase they were not linked together. Overall very poor customer service and poor management.

Super helpful staff... My shop is just down the street and love having Ace just down the road. If they don’t have have it they will get it. Hard to find a business that is willing to go above and beyond for their customers.

This location is very clean and organized. The people there are very nice and friendly. The also have fresh cheese popcorn there for you and [the kids] other people.

Repair shop employee was very rude when I called asking about a part for my mower. Will not be giving this store my business. Just going to have to go online so I don’t have to deal with any attitude.

Got to love your local Ace hardware. Needed a few things to complete a bunny hutch and they were able to deliver.

50-50 you get what you need. Then, itsprobably over-priced 15- 20%. And, ifI want help, I will ask for it. So thatthe upsell on convenience is generallya non-factor.This too shall pass.

This used to be a staple in our community, but its gone downhill. Badly. Went to get my propane tank refilled ($115) and not only did we wait about 15 minutes for someone to come out, the rudest elder man came out. When I asked (simply and politely) if the tank should be sitting on the scale, like every other time we came in, he belittled me, told me to get educated and told me I had no clue what was going on. You cant even support small business anymore :( Looks like its Costco ($43) from now on. Very disappointed.

Got a call from the store that my equipment was repaired and ready to be picked up.Spent the better part of 2 hours driving through traffic to get to the location only to be told that the shop part of the store is closed.No one is allowed in the shop after its closed.Store manager told me to come back tomorrow he cant help me. The shop is a separate business.Clearly says ace hardware on the front, but I guess customers are supposed to know the odd interworkings of this business.I am exhausted and frustrated and more importantly going to have to waste even more of my very limited time on this place.Once I get my stuff, I will never come back to this location again and most likely I will never step foot in another ACE.There was no effort made by the manager to help me out. Simply did not care. Been a loyal customer for a decade and a half.

Unfortunately just had to seriously downgrade my prior review. This is a small store with limited inventory but the potential for knowledgeable help and support of a local business seemed to outweigh that. I however will not shop here again. Called over a week ago to inquire about an item. Was told they didnt have it but could get it in a couple of days. They needed my charge card to order and I gave it to them. It didnt come in on a Thursday as expected but I waited until Monday of the following week to follow up. Stopped by the store and was told it hadnt come in. Left my contact info, again, to be sure they would notify me when it did. Went in again on Wednesday and feel as though I was totally blown off. I asked a staff member to please check to make sure it was actually ordered and he replied that it had. Called on Thursday to see if they could track it or something and he said it was not available. Appeared as though he could not care less. Requested a refund and was transferred to the woman who took my order. She was the only one in the store who seemed to care and explained the mix up that occurred. I understood that mistakes in delivery can happen but cannot excuse the rest of the stores apathy and lack of communication. Had the gentleman on Monday bothered to look into it I would have already had my item instead of wasting all of this time. Im heading off to one of the big hardware stores that have lots of my item currently in stock.

Management should have atleast one employee over the age of 11 working on a saturday. No product knowledge in the store whatsoever. Will find a new ace location for any future purchases.

I bought a Stihl universal weed eater, and other attachments for my lawn a couple of years ago. Items are still under warranty but apparently my motor etc has rust in it and Ace or Stihl are not willing to stand behind their equipment. How does a piece of equipment get rust inside of motor and carburetor after 1 winter of no use while sitting in my garage? Seems sketchy but it’s the truth. Spent hundreds of dollars and now I have attachments, a motor that doesn’t work and no way of using them. Spoke to the manager in repair shop who was extremely rude who had a nasty attitude in front of my daughter. Is this what customer service has become with retail stores.I will say thanks to the store manager who came over to speak to me. He happened to be really nice who tried to assist but I guess it was out of his hands. I also have called the owner with no response as of yet. I will no longer shop at Ace Hardware because of their rudnesss and they don’t stand behind the equipment they sell. Lost customer for life!!!!

Went to take my Stihl chainsaw to be looked at and they had my saw for 10days and the technician either was not able to look at or wasnt working or was sick. Very poor customer service. Very disappointing experience.

Always get personal attention and help when you need it unlike the ultra corporate behemoth HD.

Beyond disappointed with how their service department treated my wife and I. I dropped off my Stihl trimmer on 8/17/19, never received a phone call for several days so I called on 8/23/19 for an update, the gentleman on the phone cut me off and told me it would be another 2 weeks to fix it without even looking up my ticket. About 30 minutes later (around 3:45 PM on Friday) I receive a call saying that my trimmer is ready to pick up but they close at 4PM and are not open on Weekends, fast forward to today and my wife goes to pick up the trimmer. The lady at the front desk at the service department was extremely rude with her and yelled at my wife when my wife presented the claim ticket that she needed a last name, my wife calmly gave the woman our last name for her to look us up. The woman then tells my wife that its not appearing in the system. My wife had to suggest to her to use the claim ticket they gave us when we dropped off the trimmer, sure enough it pops right up. She gives the trimmer to my wife without explaining what the issue was, when my wife asked she said Well didnt they call you to come pick it up. My wife said yes but it was a VM and they didnt explain what the issue was. At this point the woman could tell she was being rude to my wife and tried to justify her rudeness by saying that the owner, who apparently owns the Ace at Crabapple too, yelled at her to man the repair department because no one from the repair shop showed up today (note that she didnt apologize, just try to explain why she was being rude.) Needless to say we wont be going back to Ace any time soon and will instead be going to Urban Hardware or another Stihl distributor in the area.

Generally have what you need and more convenient than big box stores

Very disappointed in the Canton store on Hwy 20. We took a mower in to have the carburetor cleaned, and new air filter... was supposed to be ready in a week. We called every week... they were waiting on a backordered part was the first excuse...then by the 6th week, they said they had no record of it. They finally found it - it had been taken apart and not repaired. We went half the summer with no mower — and then they wanted to charge us $25 for “diagnosing” it! Didn’t happen!!

Staff was very helpful. Asked what I needed and walked me right to it.

Busy Girls best friend, this is easy in, easy out, very well stocked with a great variety of both common and hard to find quality household products, and priced pretty well. I have found canning accessories, pots, pans, glassware, a whole range of kitchen tools including silicone basting brushes that I discovered are awesome for glazing sugar cookies, hard to find cleaners like NevrDull metal polish, Armstrong Once N Done floor cleaner, wood wax, Mister Clean Magic Eraser mops, every size and type of light bulb you can imagine...there is so much there it is worth an exploratory visit. And the staff there is super nice, they will help you find whatever you need. They get my recommendation, way more fun than going to a big box store.

I use to love this store but now it seems to be slipping. I think ace hardwares prices are not good at all. I think it is all about the convenience more than anything.

Bad ethics. Standing in line and hear the cashier asking the two people ahead of me if the wanted to round up their total for charity but when it got to my turn, she included it without my consent..I have nothing wrong with donating pennies but I do have a problem with the principal of it.

Easy trip, nice to have experts on hand to answer questions.
