This place has a lot of stuff! They try to separate them into themes. There was a huge book section, furniture, clocks, sporting goods, hunting and fishing gear, lamps, glass, jewelery, games, you name it.The guy behind the counter has a lot of character and willing to deal, too.
I like it because its a giant crazy maze mess of random stuff, like a cluttered mind. Some stuff is worth the price and some isnt. Service is so so
That was a cool place, we intend on going back, we havent seen the basement or the upstairs
I live out of town and come up to alpena every year, I’ve shopped here every year and came up this year on Monday. I had my heart set on a painting but it was marked $59.00 so I waited and thought about it a couple days. It was an oil painting of a white picket fence with the canvas ripped up in the back. I came back 4 days later with my mother and asked if they could lower the price at all and he said he could do $50. We said we’d take it and left the painting on the counter to keep shopping. A few minutes later he yelled through the store, “oh wait this is $159.00, that won’t work” and there was a very clear 1 drawn in front of the original $59 in crooked darker ink. And every painting around it ranged around $45. We never even thought someone would do that? Super disappointed that I don’t want to go back to a place I’ve been going to since I was little. I wouldn’t leave anything you want on their counter unattended!
Some nice items but sky high prices.
Great time always find something interesting
Nice place, lots of old books and furniture.
Great shop packed to the brim with antiques!
Many unusual finds. Much to look at.
