I took my dog to have Kelli groom my dog and she was very empathetic of my dog being scared and she groomed her to perfection..Kelli is always reliable and on time with us and she does a great job.. she is terrific at making sure she is done in a timely manner and making sure my dog is comfy before and after the groom.chaar is always clean when I get there and always has great products to look at and a wide selection.. They clip my dogs nails great, even though hes scared of it! Lady seems to know dogs well and how to interact with them to put them at ease. Very much unlike my vet, who wanted to sedate my dog to clip his nails.

Great customer service and love their boots

Arrived on a Saturday morning at opening time. I was greeted with a good morning from 2 workers , I told the one worker why I was there and she proceeded to help me. I tried on 3 different pair of work boots until I purchased a pr I liked. The entire time the worker was pleasant and assisted me anyway she could, answering my questions, continuing to be pleasant. Everyone was wearing masks, including myself. They do have a bathroom there, you need a key from a staff worker. Overall the shopping experience was great with good old fashioned customer service. I will be shopping there again. They have a wide variety of dog supplies, along with western attire including boots.

I have never been in this store until now. Love it. They carry a great selection of good work boots, western boots, clothing, etc... They have agreat selection of good pet food, bag, can, frozen raw. All kinds of pet toys, dishes, snacks, seat covers, life jackets supplements. I could go on. And the folks there are nice and willing to help!

Last time Iam dealing with this store, purchased a pair of boots keen corburg, in may of 2021 they lasted not even a month, returned them and was told I had to go through the company, after complaining for som time they exchanged them for a pair of donner, expensive boots 215$, because I work in the construction field and need a good boot, we’ll here we are again September 2021 and the donners are not holding up , water getting in, was told by the store employee they cannot do anything Because it’s wear and tear?????? Not even three months old I have to ,again go through the company, Iam done with keen, donner and especially charr. Waste of time

First visit today. Young sales folks were helpful. Manager welcoming. They stock the Zignature dog food this puppy eats. I enjoyed looking over the Stetsons, too. I’ll be back.

Chaar does not value their customers! We have been bringing our dogs there to be groomed since Chaar opened their doors. Sadly, the level of service has declined precipitously over the last few months. The Dog Groomer who works on our dog, Kelli, has developed the habit of texting us right before our appointments and asking us to change the time or cancels them entirely. Once when a snow storm was pending, Kelli asked us to drop off our dog early and we obliged. We were rewarded for our kindness by having Kelli do a rush job on our dog that turned out horribly. The deshedding treatment was not done correctly; our dog still had huge clumps of hair in his coat.On June 2, 2021, we received a text from Kelli the morning of our appointment asking us to come in early yet again. She stated that she had been in a car accident the weekend prior, and she didn’t think she would be able to finish out the day. When we called Chaar to see what was going, they informed us that Kelli was going home early and they were canceling our grooming appointment. Chaar canceled our appointment mere hours before we were supposed to have our dog groomed even though she had been there grooming dogs all day. This comes after Chaar had confirmed our appointment the day before. We were at a complete loss. We tried in vain to find a groomer for that day, but our efforts were futile.Rightfully upset by this turn of events, we contacted Chaar again and left a message for the owner, Tony. A while later, Tony’s son, AJ, gave us a call. AJ couldn’t have been less sympathetic or less helpful if he tried. Despite the fact that Chaar has multiple locations and another groomer at the location we normally go to, AJ did absolutely nothing to get us another appointment for that day nor did he offer to get us in as soon as possible with another groomer.Chaar is unprofessional and very disorganized. Kelli should not be texting customers without their consent and Chaar certainly should not have confirmed an appointment they were bound to cancel. Furthermore, Chaar should have made a contingency plan to ensure that all of the groomings scheduled for that day were covered knowing that their groomer had been in a supposed car accident several days earlier. Had this been a one-time occurrence we would have been more understanding but rescheduling our appointments has been a common practice. To make matters worse, Chaar did nothing to rectify the situation. It is a horrible way to treat longtime customers.Disturbed by Chaar’s lack of response we contacted the Better Business Bureau. It took Chaar over two months to respond to our BBB complaint and even then, all they did was make excuses.

Excellent, friendly staff from the moment you enter their store. Kelli their groomer is outstanding. Best groomer I ever went to. My Golden looked gorgeous after her bath, cut, dried, and brushed. She was completely dried and trimmed. Our Chocolate Lab also was given the best grooming. Kelli is calm and patient with your dogs no need to mussel them. You will not be disappointed. Stop in at Chaars for your best grooming and friendly service.

When I called, the staff was super friendly and helpful with scheduling a full groom for my long haired mini dachshund with Brittney. As a dog owner, it helps to feel like you’re in capable hands from the moment you call. I got a kind reminder call the day before and when I entered the store, I was welcomed warmly and they all asked if my dog was Pumpkin right away, no need to even reference a computer for whose appointment! I talked for a moment with the staff up front while waiting for Brittney and they were all so outgoing and polite. It felt so nice to feel expected and comfortable, especially since Pumpkin can get anxious easily. Brittney was knowledgeable and attentive to how I would like him groomed. When I picked him up around the time she said she’d be done, he looked exactly as I imagined him but even better!! She did such a wonderful job and I can tell Pumpkin feels pampered. We can’t wait to come back!

Staff is wonderful as always , store is always neat and clean , the only reason Im leaving a less then perfect review is the products they are carrying. The quality has seriously went down hill. Normally my ariats last a few years . When I stopped last week they did not have my size in any of the ariats i wanted, so i went with a pair of tony lama work boots . Six days after purchase the soles separated on both boots , just not acceptable for a pair of $200+ pair of boots Id even be fine with a few months but not less then a week . I know the stores is not responsible for the build quality of a product , but they are responsible for stocking and choosing to sell a inferior junk product

There arent many places that do cat grooming so I was happy to know that they accepted cats. It was the first time my cat was going to be groomed and I was nervous about her causing trouble for the staff but Keli took really good care of her and assured me that my cat had been great. She was able to get her nice and cleaned up with a nail and hair trim and bath. Everyone from the front desk to the floor employees were very friendly. Will definitely be back again.

Great quality, the shorter blonde customer service representative was amazing, friendly and accommodating. (Wish I had caught her name so I can give her credit where its due) also the cashier took the time to update my information in their system, and even check my new boots to make sure they were indeed a match set. Their prices are a little more than like say Walmart but even Walmart couldnt hold a candle to the service, and quality this place has.

When we first arrived in Pennsylvania we were overjoyed because we thought we had found a gem to take our dog for his grooming. Today we had our first and last issue with their appointment scheduling and lack of support for the people they do business with. I made an appointment on wednesday the 30th for 1:15pm today, on Thursday the 31st I was called by a lady to confirm the appointment as I had to bring my dogs immunization record. Today @12:25 she calls me and tells me if Im on my way for Todays appointment as she could not attend to me past 12:30. I was confused by the situation but I tried to explain that it was for 1:15pm the arrogant woman and subsequent person which I spoke to dismissed my claim that maybe it was a mistake on their part and the last person I spoke to told me about rescheduling and was fine when I said I will be looking for another place saying OK They must be overwhelmed with business to care to lose a client. good luck to those of you that still care to put money in the pockets of these individuals.

This is where I take all my dogs for grooming and nail trimming. The groomers are great I like Kelly, she’s amazing and has a lot of experience. The only down point is since they are very busy you need to call ahead of time for your dogs nail trimming to see if any groomer is available that day. Other then that this place is great. Also they have a shop of many items not only for dogs but outerwear boots and much more for the family!

Ive been here a few times in years past, I even bought an expensive pair of cowboy boots here without any issues but this time around, all eyes were on me and they wasnt even trying to be covert about it. Dont be thrown by the odd combination of pet supplies, pet services and workwear... While I was specifically shopping for work boots, the store appeared to be well supplied for other work/outdoor wear and pet supplies. Regarding the footwear: Chaar had a rather large selection. I cant speak for all the staff, but Jesse was our sales rep and I found him to be very knowledgeable; he made very practical comments/recommendations. If you have questions or perhaps dont know exactly what you are looking for when shopping for work boots, I would certainly recommend this store.

First time shopping there and I loved it, got a pair of Laredo boots put on Layaway last week and picked them up today. The girl who helped me was awesome, I think her name is Courtney, but she did a fantastic job helping me. Will definitely be coming back.

No one has the selection of quality dog food, treats, toys, and other necessities (dog beds, stainless steel bowls, etc) that Chaar does. Knowledgeable employees that are friendly, and eager to help. Occasionally, they have pet days (pics with Santa, Easter Egg hunts for pets, etc) that our dogs love.

I love this store. I bought my only two pairs of boots here, numerous hats and accessories. Its a great place to get things that you dont really see around here. I just wish they had a few more dress and fedora type hats. Like decent quality ones. I would be here so much more often if they carried those hats.

First time ever going to chaar about two days ago. They have a wide variety of supplies for pet owners and their staff is so helpful. Jeff helped me out almost my entire time shopping. I will definitely return as this is my new favorite pet store!

I take my cat for grooming at the Allentown location since they are one of a handful of groomers that will do cats. My cat gets a lion cut and they do a fabulous job. I am very pleased with their services. I drop him off and in about 30 minutes they call to let me know my pet is available for pick-up. If your pet will not tolerate a wet bath they will give it a dry bath. I was happy to know that when my cat got stressed out from seeing running water that they had an alternative and did not force my cat into a wet bath. If you are looking for a cat groomer, give this place a try. They do great work and care about your pet.

I’ve been bringing my Shih Poo Lola here for a few years. The results are always good, today was GREAT! I am not picky about her haircuts at all, but today’s was the best she’s ever had at 6 years old. I did not ask the young lady her name, but I will call tomorrow to find out. I don’t want anyone else ever cutting her hair again. The prices are fair, everyone is very friendly, and knowledgeable. They do book up though, make your appointment early. Thanks guys!

I was at chaar on airport road 2 weeks ago to get raw food for my dogs. I heard someone screaming. So I turned around and what I saw in the grooming department. Was disturbing. The groomer Brittany.was screaming n yelling at the poor dog she was grooming. She grabbed the dogs face also while continuing to scream..I asked to speak to manager to inform him what I saw .I guess chaar except this person to treat animals like that. I was there 2 days ago n she still works there...I WOULD NEVER TAKE MY 5 YORKIES THERE. Because there would b a major problem if I saw someone doing that to my babies...

Not from the area but my friend recommended checking out the store. Was in early Sunday morning looking for a pair of work boots, great selection. A girl named Rory helped me, very friendly and knew what she was talking about. The rest of staff was very welcoming as well. Only con is that they want to put you on a mailing list even if you dont live in the area, had to pass on that.
