Dr. Joe was great. The testing was quick and easy and though I am showing very minor hearing loss, there was no pressure to do any more than keep an eye on my ears. Overall, it was a great first time hearing exam.

Dr. Brent Joe and his receptionist, Marcia, are so professional and a pleasure to interact with. Dr. Joe fitted me with a pair of bluetooth hearing aids that I love to wear every day. I can adjust them using my Android and iPhone. Calvert Hearing Care is covered by my insurance provider, Aetna, but I would recommend them to my best friends.

Dr. Mainord has fitted me with 2 pairs of hearing aids since I moved to McKinney several years ago. He is always patient, kind and thorough. He is personable and takes the necessary time to understand the patients concerns and needs. His staff is very helpful as well. I followed his recommendation for using the blue tooth technology that is now available through a special device that connects the audio from the TV directly into my hearing aids, and couldnt be more pleased with the difference it makes. What a HUGE improvement in my ability to hear & understand whats being said on the TV!! And with the blue tooth compatibility of my cell phone with my new digital hearing aids, the clarity of my telephone conversations has improved significantly as well. Returning to Dr. Mainord at Calvert Hearing was a great decision!!

Obviously, was a bit skittish about seeing someone about my hearing loss... but everyone here was amazing. Theyre incredibly friendly and helpful, and Dr. Joe is flat out amazing. I had some fit issues with my left ear, and had to come back a few times to get it right, and Dr. Joe was awesome and tried lots of different things to get it right. If you need to see an audiologist or get hearing aids, I cannot recommend this office highly enough! Truly amazing...

Calvert Hearing was recommended by my family doctor to look into hearing loss in both ears. After testing, I was startled at the amount of hearing that remains in one ear, since it has been damaged since childhood. Having had a hearing aid 20 years earlier, I was amazed by the amount of hearing that the aid allowed in the damaged ear. I obtained hearing aids for both ears and Dr. Joe is taking me through a gradual process of increased hearing as my ears and brain adjust to the aid. This has been an enjoyable process with a supportive Doctor.

Took me a long time to get up the nerve to get hearing aids. Now that I have them, I love them and wear them constantly. Wish I had done it sooner. Part of my reluctance was not knowing where to go. Calvert was referred by my GP and they were great. Dr. Joe is the best! So understanding and informative. And the cost was reasonable and well worth it. Cant say enough good things about Calvert.

The team is great from the moment you walk in. Extremely personable and very willing to help. My hearing aids are outstanding, but I did have to switch from a Samsung phone to an iPhone to get the full benefit of the Resound Smart 3D app. I was quite surprised when my phone calls were automatically streamed to my hearing aid which was quite exceptional.

I am a little biased, but I love Calvert Hearing Care! I work here in Allen. I have been here almost 3 years and this is the best job I have ever had. I have seen lives change due to people getting hearing aids. Personally, my parents have both been fitted with devices and I have seen a huge improvement in their quality of life. Dr. Mainord is a compassionate and generous boss. Our entire staff are people I consider to be friends. All the audiologist are doctorates of audiology. I didnt even know I had a hearing loss! Dr Joe was so very patient with me and I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised that the whole process was so easy. I had always heard wearing hearing aids was awful and I would hate them! But I have worn them now for over 2 months and have not complaints!! I can hear so so so much more clearly!!!

The folks at Calvert Hearing in Allen have been amazing. My experience with other hearing aid vendors had been extremely frustrating; Id go in, get a quick hearing test, then a hard sell for a particular hearing aid. They would put the hearing aid on me, give me about five minutes to try it out, then expect me to buy it on the spot. There was no opportunity to compare different brands, different price ranges, or different styles of aids. I left with no answers to any of my long list of questions.Then I went to Calvert and met with Dr. Mainord. He spent an hour with me going over my hearing test results, the differences between various brands (yes, he carries all of the top brands) and price ranges of aids. The then made a recommendation based on my age, my lifestyle, and my profession (music). I was thrilled to find out that he would fit me with a pair of aids he recommended and let me wear them for two weeks before committing to purchase anything. After that two weeks was up, I had additional questions about how they could be adjusted to render truer amplification of the treble range of my classical guitar. He set up a second program on the aids and sent me home to try it for another two weeks. After that trial, I went back and asked if a cheaper pair would accomplish the same thing. So, he sent me back home to try out a different pair that would cost less. This pair convinced me that I really needed the more expensive pair. Note that this was 6 weeks I wore hearing aids without putting a penny down and with no commitment to buy from him.I spent a lot of time with Dr. Mainord going over the terms of the final purchase. The price included batteries for life (not an inexpensive value), all accessories for life, as needed, and insurance on the model I purchased. He and Brandy have been great over the last several months of wearing them.There is one thing I wish I had thought to go over with him before purchasing the set I now have. I should have asked if there were any new technologies on the horizon that would make my chosen aid obsolete in the near future. As it turned out, a new upgrade promised to improve speech recognition, which was my main reason for getting hearing aids. While the ones I got gave me much better speech recognition, I cant help but wonder if I should have waited another 4 months until the new model came out.

The doctors and staff are great to work with and are very caring In making sure your needs are met.I have recommended several people to the great people at Calverts and will in the future.

Judging from my first visit it is easy to see why Dr Mainord and his staff get all 5 stars! I got a set of Oticon Opn hearing aids a year ago from another hearing center, which is now closed. I spent a lot of time online researching for a new place to go for an annual checkup. I was impressed with Dr Mainords credentials and the 5 star ratings. Even though two very excellent Audiologists had set up my hearing aids, Dr Mainord gave me a hearing test and made several adjustments to the settings. Those adjustments have greatly improved my hearing. I certainly plan to use Dr Mainords center for all my future needs.
