First time - first impression. Underwhelmed. The place was packed and obviously has a strong local following of regulars. Service was good, but my order was very simple. Quality of food was OK but not exceptional. Off the top know 3 similar nearby breakfast/lunch cafes that offer a better product at a better price. Not naming names here because that is not fair.
Me and my boyfriend are now regulars. We love our waitress, very nice lady. Prices are great, and we enjoy the vibe of the small breakfast diner in Allen. We really do enjoy our mornings coming here especially on weekends. Service is always great. Despite it being busy they make sure they get you seated right away. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves going on breakfast dates. Better than any other place around.

We ate breakfast with our family here and it was a great cafe. Our waitress was wonderful and took great care of our table. The breakfast was outstanding and delicious. We will dine here again next time we are in Allen. Thanks for keeping these types of cafes in operation.

I think it says alot for me to have left Allen & return 4 years later and our waitress be from Chicago!! She was funny and very helpful, but we gotta get her a Texas list for Greek & Italian food. She misses it greatly! So glad Allen Cafe, which took care of us all for so long still running and serving the community. Breakfast was fast, SUPER Delish and very clean. Beautiful work team.
This is a classic hometown main street diner. If that’s what you’re looking for, you won’t be disappointed. Think strong coffee, greasy spoon breakfast fare, homestyle sandwiches, and griddle-top classics. The staff is friendly, everything is clean, the locals are chatty, and the environment is welcoming. In short, we love this place!
Love Allen Cafe. I will literally never visit an IHOP again. The amazing customer service, food, and atmosphere is a huge plus. Highly recommend!
It’s okay. Old fashioned diner with the same clientele & aura as when they first opened. They will get you out inside of 30 minutes but don’t look for attentiveness or flavor. Portions are good and staff is friendly while located in downtown Allen.

Easily my favorite place to eat in Allen. The breakfast food is always amazing. The pancakes are nice and fluffy, so good you could eat them dry and still enjoy them, not to mention the whipped butter is 10/10. I wish I didnt have to settle and give them five stars because they deserve another five. Overall 10/10!!

Sunday at noon and they were slammed, crowded, but not flustered at all. I had a short wait, but so worth it.Just a simple breakfast: 2 eggs sausage and hash browns. Everything was great and I was out in time for my day. I recommend this place to anyone in the Allen area seeking a central Texas breakfast.
I drive by this location pretty much every day and Ive always been curious about it and decided to stop in and try it today because of all the glowing reviews. Well, the reviews are well received because this place is a real hidden gem. It has a very old school feel about it and the food is excellent. pancakes are fluffy and perfectly cooked as well as the bacon - - not too crisp and not too chewy-- and they will even give you hot syrup on request. All the waitstaff are very friendly and accommodating. Anxious to give their lunch menu a try!
My boyfriend and I visited this cafe on Saturday morning. The atmosphere reminded me of a cafe that my grandparents and I used to go to when I was younger. As a customer, you feel welcome and you are very well taken care of. The waitresses are attentive and they work together to make sure no table is without anything they may need. I ordered the corned hash breakfast and my boyfriend ordered the breakfast burritos. The only criticism was that you could provide more salsa for the burritos. The coffee is great and they have a good creamer selection. Honestly I’d come back again just for the hospitality and the nostalgia feels. Keep it up, Allen Cafe! We will be back once a month for breakfast.

We started going here on Sundays a few months back and fell in love. The staff was beyond sweet & personable and the food was delicious. My toddler loves their Mickey Mouse pancake. I definitely suggest trying Allen Cafe out, you wont be disappointed. A wonderful mom & pop place that loves & supports to local community.
Friendly staff and the owner was there helping and talked with us. I had the Farmers Skillet with toast and my friend had the hash brown omelette, eggs with toast; everything tasted great.Waitress stopped by regularly to see if we needed another refill on coffee although the place was packed. Kudo for that!We went on Sunday at 10:30am and only waited a few minutes to be seated. By the time we left there were people waiting outside..

We were going to Allen for another reason and got hungry, so we browsed for food and found this awesome gem. The food was great, service was fast, waitress was as nice as can be and to top it all off....the prices are very reasonable. If your in the Allen tx area, stop by!

We enjoyed breakfast here one Sunday while visiting family. The food was wonderful and the owners were extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend eating here, but be sure and check their hours before you go. Everything is made from scratch and the food is absolutely delicious, I never had anything disappointing.
My wife loves a good breakfast/brunch! I am not the biggest fan of breakfast in comparison to other meals in the day, but I don’t mind if the food is good. Normally we might hit up IHOP for a quick and easy breakfast, but she mentioned a nice local venue in town called Allen Café. We went there and I will never go back to IHOP (which never quite did it anyway)!The food is very fresh and tastes delicious. My wife has been on a French Toast kick right before she was pregnant and hasn’t stopped since our daughter has been born, and she LOVES their French Toast. What I like about Allen Café is the portions are great for the price. The breakfast burritos are HUGE two people can share them!We have gone back a many times since going here for the first time and the staff never disappoints. Very good place and if you are in Allen you need to check this place out! There is usually a small wait time, but it is really worth it. They get people in and out pretty quick. They also allow you to call ahead and do take-out which is a nice treat!

It was really good. Forgot to take a picture . I had a gyro omelette , shredded potatoes , biscuits side of gravy. Ate all the gyro , potato there was leftover and the 2 biscuits with gravy leftover also. Alot of food.

Cinnamon French Toast!Thanks to our friendly and helpful server, I ordered the French Toast Combo. The medium well eggs were cooked perfect and the crispy bacon was perfect too. But the Cinnamon French Toast was the best French Toast Ive had! Hubby really liked the sausage patties with his scrambled eggs, bisquit and sausage gravy and hasbrowns. He said the sausage patties had a great flavor.
Staff is friendly, food is good and at a good price. Will be back!!
Food was great. Staff was very friendly. They have glass barriers between booths now due to Covid that fit right into the existing woodwork; looked very professional. We like going there for breakfast occasionally.

I got french toast and it was really good! So was their regular toast. Service is extremely fast! It was busy yet we got our food in like 5 minutes after we ordered! I recommend! Server Alicia was super nice!

The service is always wonderful no matter who you get, but I adore Mirsada, the very sweet Bosnian(?) waitress. So sweet & attentive... and she remembers his face even with a mask on, haha. He always gets country fried steak (fantastic) and Ive tried the cinnamon French toast, 10/10, and the sirloin steak, also 10/10.
This place makes you take a trip down memory lane back when your momma cooked them meals that use make you tell everyone else that your mommas food is better...well I m grown now and momma dont cook for me no more..but Allens Café so good ..Cant believe It Aint Momma..The people and staff will make you feel like the family reunion Biden wont let you have..Food that steels your heart and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy no lie come and lets be united not devided
