This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool. The Vietnamese sandwich, pho and spring rolls were bomb 💣 I am definitely coming back !

This place is so well done. The proportions are not huge but they perfectly done with every detail and amazing side sauces. The craft drinks are so fun! For the $9 lunch special its 100x better than the $$ I spend at panera, Jasons deli, corner bakery, etc

Fresh and delicious Vietnamese food. The staff is helpful and friendly. We ordered at the drive through and they delivered the food to the car. The Bahn Mi is a must order. The summer rolls are a great light appetizer. The shrimp in the rice bowl was hot and cooked perfectly.If you are wanting something healthy and tasty: Give this place a try!

This place is amazing!! Everything is sooo good!! I just had their bahn mi pork, yummy!! It had a yummy sweet and slightly salty sauce, sliced jalapeños, finely shredded carrots, cucumbers and plenty of cilantro which I LOVE! Also ordered the summer rolls which are always excellent, and Texan and prime rib pho for later tonight. Y’all please, please, please open a location in McKinney near 380, you would do sooo well and we’re in such need of great food dives like yours over here! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

The service at SALTLIGHT is super friendly!Its rare that I want to finish drinking pho broth, because it usually leaves me feeling thirstier with all the added MSG at other restaurants, but its so tasty here that I just order it straight up. The summer rolls here are my favorite.The coffee / hot chocolate here has cute designs on it. I also LOVE the honey lime tea here - it smells and tastes so good!Secret order: pecan pie + ice cream + espresso. Order them together and combine them for a real treat.Oh, I wish I lived closer, so I could come visit more often.

Very kind owners, very tasty with best quality ingredients, no MSG! Definitely recommend to try more than once. Prime rib is awesome and the boba is made from natural ingredients unlike the majority of tea houses around here.

Let me start by saying this is a review during COVID, where this restaurant is currently only drive-thru only. I also have been wanting to try it out for about two years, ever since I drove passed it. Therefore, I may have overhyped it in my mind. Due to their strange hours, and the fact that I rarely come to Allen, this was the first time Ive been able to try it. All I can say is that Im underwhelmed. The very spicy broth I ordered isnt anything special, on flavor or spice level. The Vietnamese coffee is also pretty standard. Definitely drinkable, but with a little bit of that burnt flavor that comes from using beans that arent the best quality (I dont know where they get their beans). I think this place is meant to be more of a neighborhood restaurant (based on their hours), which is perfectly fine! I just dont think its meant to be a destination place on the weekends. Glad I tried it, but wont be going out of my way to go again.

Just had a Ban MI, chicken type for around $8+Sandwich was 10/10 but just touching the kinda little to expensive category in my mind. I think if they offered $9 with a side and soda would be a better offer... Will defiantly be back though.

A nice, calm, inviting atmosphere with tasty food and great drinks. There are some fun, extra options such as craft soda and Henrys ice cream and classics like lattes or boba milk tea. The staff is so helpful and kind. The grounds are clean and well maintained. They have live music on Thursdays and even have some open mic nights. I love the multiple options afforded with a full restaurant and coffee shop with a laid back coffee house feel.

Honestly I was so surprised/ amazed at how good the pho was. Personally I like my broth less fatty and heavy and their broth tasted perfect! Both the bone broth and the spicy lemongrass were amazing and the meat was so tender! I think it has been the most tender meat I’ve ever had in pho before!I would say the banh mis were pretty good too but the bread didn’t have that signature crunchy exterior I’m used to. The meat and veggies however were a 10/10 for me.Staff is very sweet and kind, so overall good customer service. Definitely me new favorite pho place.

Delicious food with friendly and helpful wait staff in a cute and super clean restaurant. You know the pho is going to be good when you walk in the door and the wonderful aroma of simmering soup greets you! Spring rolls were gorgeous and fresh. The sesame dipping sauce was perfectly seasoned. My friend had the jalapeno/cilantro dipping sauce which was excellent, too. Ill definitely be back!

Very cozy atmosphere, great food, great amount of food for the price, very high quality. Feels like home even to non-Viet people, overall a very mellow and relaxed place to eat. Service is excellent, quick, and responsive. They have a drive through and do a wide array of delicious coffees and teas and offer takeaway for food. If pho isnt your thing they have some great rice bowls as well. Absolutely recommend trying the summer rolls here, they are perfection! Feels like a rest station straight out of FFXV!! To top it all off its a locally, family-owned business. I hear theyre starting open mic night soon as well. Their iced Vietnamese coffee was the perfect afternoon pick me up-strong and just the right amount of sweetness. I’ll be back ‘pho sho’ to try their food.

Staff is friendly, but she forgot my fish sauce. I didnt double checked until I got home :(( I got the thai tea with boba, but boba wasnt soft at all.

The atmosphere, the music, the service, the view, and the amazing food make this place a hidden gem. You go in and your greeted by a very welcoming and helpful staff, you can tell they really care about the costumers experience. Our server Allyson (I hope I spelled that right) was magnificent. They played a range of classical and jazz music that made for an awesome relaxing mood that complimented the soft color interrior as well as the slideshow of nature pictures playing on their tv. The pho - delicious, their summer roles - amazing, and their tea is served stylishly in a large ergonomic glass with class and is some of the best this reviewer has ever had. Altogether my experience was wonderful and Im excited to go back.

Great pho, limited pho menu but options for everyone. If youre looking for more traditional skip but if you like items more accepted in America and a nice atmosphere with nice seating this is a great place. Menu options for all comers including sandwiches and such.

I was so skeptical about this place until I read the great reviews, and I was not disappointed. Great food and good selection, from pho to desserts and even iced Vietnamese coffee! Also the place is very clean and looks nice. The pho is fresh and delicious and not greasy/oily like some other places. Havent tasted their boba yet but Ill be back soon! New favorite pho place for sure.

I had read the inspirational story of this owner and had it on my radar to check it out. I had an opportunity after a full morning. The menu is limited but interesting. I tried the tacos which were good but not the best I’ve had. The hot tea was pricey but delicious and when I asked for a to-go cup the server behind the counter filled the cup with fresh hot water. I think this deserves a return trip to check out some of their specialties

This place is worth the drive! The presentation is superb, the pho is genuine and flavourful, and the atmosphere is comfortably modern. A pleasant surprise to say the least.

We recently moved into the neighborhood and immediately wanted to try this place. Let me say that giving it 2 stars for the pho is being kind. We arrived and were immediately excited about the quirky ambiance of an old gas station being used as a restaurant. We even did the tourist thing and took a few pics as we entered. We ordered at the counter and ended up getting the Texan Pho, the peanut rolls, and my wife settled on the shrimp Pho since they did not have the prime rib Pho. The Ice tea was brisk and fresh. We quickly got the peanut roll. So far so good. The ambiance was good and the service was on point. The rolls were nothing to write home about, but good. Then our Pho arrived. I had the lemon grass broth & my wife had the regular with her shrimp. I can honestly say both were the worst Pho we have ever eaten. We love Pho and have tried tons of places all over DFW. The meat in the Texan Pho was dismal. The slices were dry, stringy and tasted on the verge of spoiling. The meatballs were like little balls of gross spice (fennel?). There were no fresh basil or cilantro leaves for the soup. There was just a lot of dried herb floating on the broth. The broth was ok at first taste but quickly got bitter from the dried herbs and bad meat floating in it. If you just want coffee, a weird place to hang out, and to laugh with your friends then this is the Pho place for you. If you want real GREAT Pho over over ambiance go to the place at Jupiter and 14th in Plano. Food is better and prices are cheaper and its only 6ish minutes from this place.

WARNING THEY DO NOT STAY OPEN UNTIL 9PM.I rushed over after work to get there before 9pm and I was told that their kitchen was closed. She said she could only make me a drink. It doesnt matter what business you are in but if you are open until 9pm then you should be able to help customers until 9. I recommend going to Forever Pho. The service is better and will even stay open past their closing time to assist their customers. Highly disappointed in Saltlight Station.

Got the vermicelli tofu salad and was impressed by the freshness of ingredients and the low salt and sugar content. Very healthy and tasty!!! Also the price was comparable to other Pho places I have visited.

The food was unlike anything Ive ever had before. I was there for the pho, but it was a little pricey. ($10-$15) so I went with this thing. I cant remember what it was called lol. But I got it with pork. It was probably the best pork Ive ever had before. They have an amazing drink selection. Soda I havent ever heard of.I loved the whole layout and vibe of the place. The service was friendly and the food was out pretty quick!I usually have to add sugar or cream to my coffee, or it winds up too sweet to begin with. The Vietnamese iced coffee was perfect.Definitely going back. ❤And next time Im trying the pho.

Pho Beef is so tender and so tasty. Creek fried rice is the best fried rice Ive ever eaten. This is a must go place and the staffs are very nice and friendly. It is a very neat and wonderful place!!!!

Amazingly good food. I’ve had the Shrimp Boat, Texan, Rancher and Farmer Pho. All were very good (especially the Shrimp) but my favorite is the Summer Rolls with Roast Pork and the Roast Pork Rice Bowl. Simply fantastic....

This place is a converted old gas station. Did not expect to see what I saw inside when I arrived. I like the concept and it’s very cute and inviting.Arrived on a Tuesday around noon and there were only 3 people eating which isn’t a good sign during peak time. Anyways, I ordered their lunch special. You get an entree, side and a drink for $9. I got the Brisket Pho ($1 up charge for the Brisket), Summer Roll with shrimp and a Cream soda. I’m not going to lie, when I saw the bowl of the lady sitting next to me, it looked really small. When my food arrived and I starting eating it, it was pretty filling and thought it’s not bad pricing for what you get. The pho was missing something (MSG, isn’t a bad thing) that I couldn’t put my hand on. It was okay, I’ve had better and worst but have to say it was pretty good to not have MSG. The summer roll was good. I liked the peanut sauce. On a side note, I tried my brother’s Iced Vietnamese Coffee and to me it wasn’t as strong as a Cafe Sua Da at other Pho Restaurant.Overall, I would be back. I don’t think the price is that high (for the lunch special) and the pho wasn’t bad. Might try other things on their menu. Only suggestion is that they should have used the original names of the vietnamese dishes.

My husband and I LOVE the chicken banh mi sandwich!! Bread is always crunchy on the outside, soft inside and sandwich just bursts with flavor! Staff is always very kind and courteous.

VERY vegan friendly. Staff was very knowledgeable about what was vegan and what wasnt. Overall vegan selection is a little limited. But the food was good. Very fresh and vibrant flavors. Nice decor and clean interior. They have a nice outdoor seating area. But it was a little cold to try out.

We just happened to be driving by and spotted this cute place and decided to give it a try. Their Vietnamese coffee was delicious and perfectly sweet. Their pho is so flavorful and were large portions. The summer rolls with your choice of sauce were also very tasty and left me wanting to go get another order because they were so good. We’ve gone back several times and everything we’ve had has been amazing!

What a FANTASTIC little find! They make their bone broth in house daily with no MSG-- the food was so fresh and great for people with food sensitivities to those kind of things. So delicious. Thursdays are open mic night- what a charming place. Oh, menu has a bunch of fun coffee drinks and tea too! Love supporting local businesses, especially when theyre this good.

I pretty much love all things SaltLight, but my favorites are the Banh Mi Sandwich and The Creek fried rice.This fried rice has shrimp and bacon and all the rest of your usual fried goodness, but its just magical to eat! Ill never eat another fried rice again because Im pretty sure none can live up to this, lol.The banh mi always has perfectly crusty bread with fresh crispy veggies inside and deliciously seasoned pork.Im not sure if the woman who usually takes my order is the owner, but shes there often and shes sooo sweet! Ive only had excellent customer service here.If you havent tried Salt Light, yet, youre missing out! 😍

This was a swaggy little coffee shop. I did not eat any of the pho, but I caught a whiff of someone else’s and it was pretty good and made me feel warm inside. The Vietnamese coffee was really good, but I wouldn’t recommend drinking it at 8 pm like I did unless you are trying to pull an all nighter. Anyway, you should definitely go here unless you are trying to have a really bad time.

Average tasting and smallish portions at way above average prices. My bill for 4 people (just entrées) was $50...for Pho! Totally unimpressed

If youre in the Allen area this is an absolutely fantastic family friendly restaurant to eat some incredibly tasty healthy food and enjoy craft coffees and teas in a relaxed environment. I have stopped in there at least once a week since they opened about a year ago. The entire family really puts their heart and soul into making this place feel like youre at home hanging out with friends and they are always doing the littlest of things to make things just right. Additionally, if youre in the neighborhood on Thursdays and Saturday evenings they have soulful live music from different local artists (including members of their own family) which is just the icing on the cake. If you have kids, they have have some amazing hot chocolate and desserts there that my 2 sons have raved about. A huge 2 thumbs up way high for this wonderful local family restaurant called Salt Light Station.

The best Pho I have aver tasted. And the brisket Banh Mi is Delicious. They also make the Best Hot Chocolate. The food is fresh. The place is very clean. The owner and their staff is helpful and Very hospitable or as we say in Hawaii they have Plenty Aloha! Anytime I’m visiting from Hawaii you will find me at Salt Light Station.

This is a nice friendly restaurant with live music once a week. Its very clean and modern looking inside, and the owner and staff are friendly and professional. The food is simple but healthy and delicious. My girlfriend is Vietnamese and she approved of the food which is a testament to the authenticity and quality of the food since she is usually pretty discriminating of Vietnamese places. Overall you cant go wrong making a trip out to this restaurant, you will find something on the menu you like and will enjoy a pleasant dining atmosphere!

This place was a pleasant surprise! I’ve been passing by this place for months and decided to try, boy was it good. This is some of the best Pho I’ve had here, the staff was friendly, I can’t wait to go back. I don’t think they should charge $1 more for the spicy broth but oh well still good. I got the medium chicken Pho, the only thing I would I could say is it’s way too much extra stuff in there for me. I’m okay with lots of noodles, meat, and easy extras. Next time I go, I’ll just tell them not so much.

Delicious! An issue with pho sometimes is that itll get cold really fast if its in too wide a bowl.Not an issue here, as they use metal bowls that lock in the perfect amount of heat.The broth is fantastic!My only qualm (which isnt enough to remove a star) is that their hours are a little strange.I cant get coffee before work which is a bummer, but the place is good and super clean. Definitely recommend!

Wow!!! This place is a gem! Their summer rolls are fresh and delicious! Their coffee, honey lime tea, and hot cocoa are so good, much better than the finest competitor. We had the Texan pho to go and stored it in the fridge overnight and the soup became gelatin. This delicious soup was clearly made with bones and all the herbs goodness, tasted even better the second day! The place is clean, nice and spacious for any gatherings. The only downside, it is 4 hours away from us. Keep up the great work! Will definitely be back! Highly recommended!!

My husband got the Rancher Pho for me via the drive through. It arrived home very hot ! They separated the veggies/ meat in a separate container so I could gradually combine it into the broth which was very thoughtful.Great broth by itself and the meat was seasoned well and great fresh veggies.Go check it out. Next time I will dine in and try the drinks.

The atmosphere is feeling extremely inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful. Then you get to the food. The food is above and beyond. Some may call it a limited menu but the way I see it they picked what they are good at and excel with it. I especially recommend the Texan with spicy lemongrass broth. It’s two cuts of beef and meatballs with the normal pho accoutrements. Absolutely fantastic!
