Simply the best is how I wrap it up at Penske. You can count on the unit you rent to be fixed and reliable. Other rental companies do not have as high of standards for their units. Yes things happen that no one can predict. But they make it right.

I never leave bad reviews but for this location I would give them -5 stars if I could. They have the worst customer service. Long story short, they charge you for anything they want. Always say they will call back regarding issues and they never do. Don’t waste your time here.

Penske needs to go to U haul to learn about professional customer service. I reserved a 26 foot box truck to be told upon the reservation that I could load my Harley Davison collection. When I arrived to pick up the truck I ultimately was turned away . . . No vehicle to load my bikes !!! If there was a no star rating Penske definitely deserves one.

When they say you have a reservation for a truck its actually only a chance at a truck. Zero Stars.I reserved a truck 1 month in advance of my move date, movers, contracts all lined up on a house I was closing out of. ONE HOUR before I was supposed to pick up the truck I got a call saying there was no truck.Penske does not give a flying fiddle about their customers.Enterprise truck rental saved the day. Dont waste another second dealing with these non-professionals, go to Enterprise right now.

Just great! I stopped in after making my reservation online because I really didnt think I reserved a big enuff truck. I did get a bigger truck. Staff was outstanding, Erich had me all set within minutes, double checking everything. Brianna was knowledgeable, easy to talk to and both she and Erich were very kind. It was a good feeling kinda thing, ya kno? I did my homework, they have the best rates out there. Yup, I give 5 stars 👍👍and would definitely recommend.

Never take from penske sale used trucks, because they dont do their services on time, they are generally not interested in the condition of the truck. They have a woman in the main service department and she understands nothing

Was using this box truck for work in Detroit for some power lines. The truck was very clean. Carried a lot of equipment we needed. No problems. No complaints. Returning it was nice and easy the ladies at the counter were very kind and friendly. They took care of everything and I was on my way in minutes.

Went in to get a truck great service at first once i got the truck noticed a nail in tire I let them know and said id have the service team check it out currently been waiting an hour and still am really sad i have work to take care of truck is on running fuel which i will have to pay full not offered no discount wasting my work time will most likely not come back here will take my business somewhere else. Disappointment because i always worked with them not anymore after this keep asking how long said they are in a meeting and telling me you can take it with nail in tire.

Take a video of the truck your are leasing. Take your time a video of all the marks, scratches and dents.When I leased my truck, I had to sign some paperwork in the office and they gave me the key and pointed where the truck was.When I walked around the truck I noticed some scratches, marks and dents and I thought it was normal but I took a video anyway.When I returned the truck back they pointed out a dent, a scratc and a crack and tried to convince me that they went over the truck minutes before I picked it up and those were not there. I was told they will send me a repair bill.I called their manager and was told to take the video to them to prove that I was not responsible for the damages.Will up date you once this is settled.Thanks for looking

When I return my rental. I went into office to let them know what I was returning an the manager seen to not pay any attention so I had to wait 10, min Just to be helped..Side Note... All I want is better customer service please an thank you 👍

Always here for work, mostly fuel which never usually takes to long but if you need actual services it depends on what you need service for and how many vehicles are ahead of you

My truck rental of a 16 foot had many issues,they swapped it out but the second vehicle had bald tires.The local Penske official pick up location only wanted me to drive the truck back on both trucks to fix the issues.The best way to handle any issue is through the road side assistance,the local pick up locations the people are uncaring even management and they act like they are doing you a favor,even though you are the paying customer. The furniture pads are not a purchase,,they rent out the pads at a high rate.

Poor customer service

I called this place a week ahead of time to tell them that I had a possible air leak and APU problems....when I got to Penske, I was told there is no room for my trailer and I should have been told that....I was not told that. So, the hotel down the street told me that I could drop the trailer...thank God. Now, Penske had my truck for Monday(12/23)...Tuesday(12/24)....Wednesday(12/25..XMAS...closed...I understand that)...and Thursday(12/26)...but this is what I was told....could not find a air leak..(ok...good deal)...as for the APU...could not check it do to the bedding needed to be moved. My truck sat for that many days and I received no phone call to walk less than a block to move the bedding. I was told about a notification that was sent out.....to who? I dont know. On the kiosk machine, I put my cell number in for best contact..so...why a notification? It was due to the unremoved bedding ...that Penske moved on to the next truck (I was told this)....wow... Its just disturbing to know that all I had to do was move some bedding to possibly have the APU repaired...but if I owed $$$ to Penske, I would have received a phone call.

I reserve a refrigerated truck a week ago. Confirmed. for a pick up on Friday night and return it following day on Saturday. I have a picnic for 700 people, Around 1:00 p.m. some lady called me to tell me that they dont have a truck for me. She said that she is going to try to find me another truck.Never heard from her. Couple of hours later I called back and i spoke to Sean. At least he was nice enough to call other places, but without any luck. At least he called me back to give me the bad news. He found me a small trailer but it didnt work out because they will have to drop it off and leave it in the park over the weekend which that is not allowed.I am left stranded. They really screwed me over. I would never ever again be able to trust them or to depend on them.

This Allen Park Penske is the worst Penske shop in the country. Dont take your truck there if you want it fixed and in a timely manner. I took our lease truck there 2 times now explained the problem. First time, truck was in there 2 whole days, they didnt even look at it. This second time, told them that Louisville Penske put steer tires on it 2 days prior and it didnt fix the problem, I even wrote that on the work order, they say that they checked the front tires, no problem found, well duh, thats because they are brand new.Louisville Penske confirmed or acknowledged the problem, I would have stayed there but had a load that needed to be delivered so since it wasnt a safety issue we were able to continue on .Allen Park Penske pushed the truck through because they didnt want to give us a rental unit, which we are entitled to by contract.

Agents are professional. When first truck had an issue, they had a backup ready quick. Truck was clean and worked perfect.

Reserved a sleeper truck on 6/21/18 to be picked upon 7/2/18 at 11 a.m.Get here at 9am to pick up the truck, and there is no truck available.9.39 am they call, tell me itll be 3 PM before they get a truck for me, its in Perrysburg OH, and we had no drivers available yesterday to pick it up.Obviously the reservation that was made doesnt not mean a thing to them, theyll get you truck at their own convenience and to hell with the customers schedule.Knowing my luck theyll get me a piece of junk like they have done in the past, probably be nasty as can be inside and out. Like normal.One POd customer.

I went to penske truck rental they are the most racist company I came in contact with from the moment I walk through the door the rep was mad I got a discount on the truck and miles the rep start making excuses why I couldnt rent the truck there deposit is only 150.00 but the rep said it was 250.00 then after she found out I had the 250.00 deposit then she said the truck was broke then she said it wasnt me on my drivers license I had 2peace id I had my social security card then at the end the racist girl have the nerve to say it still wasnt me what ashamed in 2018 racism still exists its sad white people still look down on black people and all blacks are not broke and uneducated as a people this need to stop can we all just get along. If there was a choice to pick 0 Stars they would have got it. Made a reservation 3 days in advance(monday 9/10/18) for a truck, spoke with the lady told her last time I made a reservation they gave me a larger truck which wasnt a problem that time. Told her I had to have a 16-foot truck with a lift gate, she said not a problem because your booking in advance. Go to location Wednesday(9/12/18)morning was told they only had a 26-foot truck with a lift gate. Told the gentleman 26-foot truck was too large, he told me they had a 16-foot without a lift gate. Told him liftgate was necessary he said there was nothing they could do then because personal use customers dont get priority with liftgate trucks. Ultimately went to Enterprise rental trucks and got exactly what I needed. Enterprise actually called a different location to get the truck I need it just to help me out. Will never ever use Penske ever again.

DO NOT rent a truck from these guys.. My first experience with them was yesterday november 19 2014. I rented a truck with a lift gate on it to move a copy machine, i got it home and the lift gate did not work. I called in and they tried to help over the phone but could not get it working. The person on the phone from the service department told me they couldnt get someone out for at least 90 minutes. I was only 15 minutes from the location i picked the truck up from so i just took it back. The people in the front office are completely incapable of providing anything that even resembles customer service. The guy in the front office told me to go in the back and tell the service guys that your lift doesnt work lol so i do that. The service guy comes out with me and tells me to go get the truck and pull it up over by the door so he can check it out. He cant fix it so he says pull it up to the last bay on the other side of the building I am now felling like i own this truck and brought it in to be serviced when all i wanted to do was rent a truck to move a machine. I sat outside the bay door in the 12 degree michigan weather for about 10 minutes and no one came out. I went into the front office and the employee told me that they will look at the truck. At this point I am amazed that this is how they handle these situations. I went back outside, completely lost as to what is going on, and the guy told me that i can sit inside while they look at the truck. I sat inside for about 30 minutes and asked the employee at the desk what is going on? he said you can go back in the shop and ask them how long it will take if you want I then said I am not asking anyone anything. I feel like i work here, just cancel this whole thing I wasted 3 and a half hours dealing with these people and I will NEVER use or recommend anyone to this company for any reason.
