Damn cheap Banh Mi $4.50 for a #2.Its delicious, but according to many reviews its top ranking and often has a long wait line.Well came over on a Sunday morning shortly after 7am, theres no wait. And ordered the meatballs on a skewer $3.99 as well, they were both good but to me not a wait in long line good as Ive tried many competitors in LA and elsewhere as well.Small, take out place only.

Hands down the best Vietnamese sandwich in Southern California. Before I came to this sandwich shop, I thought I had my best banh mi at Banh Mi Cali in Rosemead. I have to tell you, this place has the best and most authentic Banh Mi sandwiches in the San Gabriel valley. As some of the yelp reviewers indicated that the Banh mi here reminded them of Vietnam. I have to agree. The taste of sandwiches are fantastic. I feel they are in par with the ones made in Saigon during my last year’s trip there. That’s why I was not surprised with the guy standing next to me in line telling me that he had come from Santa Monica to wait in line for the sandwich. For those of you wanting to have a true experience of Vietnam Banh Mi, I highly recommend to get #8. The meat is tender and tasty. The sauce and pickle vegetables enhance the Banh mi flavor.Craving for egg rolls? They have one of the best in town. The price is cheap. Get a dozen for lunch for your kids or yourself. This is a great side appetizer to go with the sandwich. Don’t forget to ask for a small cup of fish sauce to dip the egg rolls in.The owner was nice and kind. She was very efficient getting our order done. She has an amazing memory. She knows exactly what we ordered.

Incredible. I’d been craving a good bahn mi for MONTHS. This was one of the best I’ve had. And for less than $5?! Also the meatballs were amazing. It’s 15 miles away, which we all know is a HIKE if you live in LA. But it’s more than worth it. Just make sure you have cash!

Super popular banh mi shopTheres ALWAYS a long line. Usually at least a couple parties in line waiting to order. Then once you order, you wait outside for them to call your name/number. Ppl usually wait outside on the left side (if facing the shop) opposite of where ppl are lining up so dont get confused. From what Ive seen- you still have to wait in that long line EVEN IF YOUVE PHONE ORDERED! Lame. Its one of the reasons why this location isnt my favorite.

I absolutely love this place! I have tried their #1 (cold cuts) and #7 (grilled meatball) and both are absolutely great. My favorite of the two is the #7 the meat is so soft and juicy and the pickled veggies complement the meat perfectly. The bread is also nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. It does get pretty busy during lunch time so expect to wait a few minutes to get your order. I highly recommend stopping whenever youre in the neighborhood.

This is my first time here and the rating is specifically for the vegetarian ham sandwich. I was told the ham is made of tofu but it looked and tasted like ham. People make it like a holy grail of Vietnamese sandwiches in town. My friend recommended me that I should give it a try. Its not really that good that I would come back again. The meat is what makes the sandwich. They do have some tasty choices of meat. I wish my bread was toasted. Maybe a wheat bread? You only have one choice of bread. This place is crowded around lunch time or probably any other time. It takes around 15 mins or more on an average to place my order and have it ready to go. The county of Los Angeles Dept of Public Health gave it a B. Looks like a mom and pop sandwich shop. The mom is not very enthusiastic taking my order or recommend me which sandwiches she thinks I would like to try out. Poor lady, she probably has too many customers to handle on her own. Good sandwiches all around, but not the best of the best!

AUTHENTIC. I highly recommend, instead of going to Bahn Mi Che Cali which is a chain (which I also love!), coming here to this tiny, no fuss, Vietnamese establishment. They are always super busy, so busy that when we showed up at 2:45 in the afternoon today, they were out of bahn mi. They bread go quick! The early bird gets the bahn mi, I guess.I brought my friend here, who is originally from Vietnam, before she leaves for Texas bc its the place to go. So we were both pretty bummed that they ran out of bread. So instead we just got a few of the crispy spring rolls and meat on a stick. They were, well, meaty. The rolls were basically just meat and rice noodles encased in a crispy shell. They tasted delicious, v crispy, savory. The meat wasnt overly salty or sweet, just a perfect mystery meatball on a stick. If you are craving MEAT, get that. I think youll be pretty satisfied.Wish this could be a review for the sandwiches... I havent had one in a year, so I cant tell you more than it was delicious!!!Also that C health rating is now a B, suck it haters.

Darn, I hate to leave 1 star but SERIOUSLY, how dirty does a restaurant have to be to earn a C grade from the Health Department? Im posting this because the owners and or management needs to know that some customers do care. I drove there for lunch from Monterey Park, passing many fine eating places on the way only to turn around and leave when I saw their C grade. Theres no grade worse than a C. Next step, the Health Department will close them down until they figure out how to have safe food handling procedures. Disappointed in my regular go to place for Bahn Mi
