I went looking for a beverage dispenser. Found a 2 gallon container at a very good price. Bought two. Will be using them for fundraiser events. The cashier was very helpful.

Everyone here provides good service EXCEPT for this one guy. He wears glasses. Curly wavy hair. Pale dorky looking. Horrible attitude. I prefer the big 5 in Monterey Park in Atlantic square. They sound fire this guy. More customers would return if he was gone!

The Alhambra Big5 store is good! The employees are nice and love helping customers, there are a lots of sports products, from the tons of instruments to Clothes and sneakers, and Knives and electric lanterns for camping. You can call them to ask about the information of some specific products before you are there! During this holiday season and in the COVID situation, please call them first! Especially when you are going to but weightlifting instruments.

The staff was very helpful in assisting me to find what I needed.

They have great athletic shoes for running and exercising. They also have work boots clothes and a lot of things to play sports.

The staff is very nice, always welcoming you as you enter. And they went out theyre way to help me find what I was looking for, above and beyond great customer service.

Im here at the Alhambra Place Shopping center at Big 5 Sporting goods store. FYI folks. Ive been waiting in the shoe department for an accociate to help me get 3 different shoes in my size to try them on to see which pair I will purchase.... waited for 10 plus minutes now. There is 2 girls at the front counter??? What, no one can help me?? About to leave. They just lost a sale. its just common sense right? Shame on them three girls hanging out at the front counter looked to be gossiping or something. So much for customer service. I do not recommend this Big 5 to anyone.

I have no idea who it was at the gun counter but they dont have a clue about california gun laws. They told me that they cant sell my dad a shotgun because he has kids. Thats pretty petty.

Big Five Sporting Goods always has good solid shoes for a great price ever since I was a poor kid growing up! So even now I am still buying shoes from this store, I guess old habits are hard to break. They also have various sporting, camping, weight training, knives, and other cool equipment one can think of purchasing for good fair prices. I will remain a loyal Big Five customer until the day I die. Now go get yours!

Big5 is one of my favorite stores. I can browse sporting goods while the wife is at other shops. Resonable prices on most things. If you sign up for their mailing list they send daily deals with even better than sale prices.

Big 5 Sporting Goods is a national chain supplying well, sporting goods and accessories. This store is pretty good and easy to navigate. They carry everything from firearms to fishing rods and reels. They have a large selection of clothing..gym oriented and casual sports. They offer a selection of shoes as well at average prices. You can find a good variety of outdoor great here, like tents and camping accessories. Equipment for baseball, soccer, basketball and tennis are here too. Service is easy to find up at the front of the store and the associates are friendly. They post sales advertisements on the front entrance windows.

My experience at this big 5 was the worst of the bunch. Small inventory, clueless employees, bad customer service. I come in for one specific item and they didnt even go look in the back where surplus inventory is, instead they brought to me the store used item and offered 20 percent off when the item was almost done. By the way it is flex tape i am talking about. Ive bought roles of it at other big 5s and never had a problem. But this one gets 1 star.

The prices for things here are not the greatest, although it is nice to have a brick and mortar store where you can see what you buy. Be sure to be on the lookout for their holiday specials and weekly ads. I havent particularly needed anything from here any time recently, although the few times I have purchased something from this location, they had what I needed (backpack and flashlight).

Black Friday is frequently a difficult time to shop. But at this Big 5, it was so well organized and staffed that even though the store was packed with People and Merchandise, it was seemless and easy to shop. The wait for checking out was less than 10 minutes. The staff, although busy, was courteous and took the time answer our questions.

You can get some good deals in this place! You can also usually find a $10 off coupon. The stores a Little small for all the stuff they have in it.

Went in to get an elbow brace & battery powdered mosquito zapper or repellant, they had the brace but mostly body sprays & creams but no zapper. Closest thing was a citronella candle for $11 that you can hang on your tent or tree limb. The only negatives about the store is the lack of sales personal to point me in the right direction, found them myself but after 2 passes in the entire store. The other negative is some of the displayed items are so close to other shelves, cant read the labels w/o moving the display stand. Otherwise it was a good experience, be back to purchase good prices on their hiking boots!

Need to restock on sizes 9 ,31/32, and more fitted clothes to many big sizes that no one wants just sit there.

One of the better Big 5s Ive been to. Prices are still hit or miss. And there are things that you can still get cheaper at a Walmart or Target. But, of course, this place has a wider selection of sports goods that the other places dont have.

Great place to come and get equipment you need for sports camping and etc. I recommend you should sign up for there own club which allows you to get coupon daily.

They always carry mens larger shoe sizes. Thats great.

The plus size selection is very sparse. Most of the 2XL are not a “true to size” fit. And depending on what seasonal merchandise you buy - count on price gouging. The staff here are more about ringing up sales or watching for shoplifting than actually HELPING shoppers...unfortunate. I’ve given this place a number of chances, but I won’t be returning anymore.

We had bought a pool from this store and found out once we got home that it had a huge hole so it didnt inflate. We took it back to the store and hoped they would exchange it even though we had already thrown out the receipt. The cashier was very helpful and still did the exchange for a cheaper pool and gave us the difference in store credit. Extremely happy with their service!

This place has always looked kinda dark for years. Maybe the management try to save on electric bill? Anyways, its good for picking up something in a hurry, otherwise lots of stuff can be bought online nowadays.

The staff is okay here there are a couple people that are friendly but also some that are rude. It isnt dirty and is the store layout isnt bad but the staff could be better and some of the stuff is over priced.
