Great brewery with outside seating and perfect location if you are ever riding fox river trail. There is even a sign and new road made especially for cyclists to go there for a refreshing glass of beer. This was our first time there but definitely not the last. Good selection of beers, wish they had some food on site available as well.

Rude and disrespectful bartender/server. Demanded a mask and refused service despite my polite offering of a medical (Doctors note) and religious exemption (1 Cor 11:7). Beer was not great, overly citrusy and overpriced at $7 for 12oz. Very disappointed, never again. I will go elsewhere where I will be treated with respect.

Have seen their beers in our local Woodmans grocery store, but had never actually tried them. One day while visiting binnys in Schaumburg Illinois, one of their employees had recommended I checked the place out. Im glad I did. I have to say that I was quite literally blown away by the quality of their sours. One of their IPAs was quite good, but the other I didnt much care for. However their Porter was excellent. Ill be back.

Off the beaten path but worth a stop in. Great selection of many different styles of beers and a few different flavors of Spritzers. Outdoors seating as well as indoors made for a safe COVID visit. Excellent lacing even in a plastic cup makes me think these folks know there craft. Cheers all.

First time there, had a great time. Everyone was very friendly, and the Covid patio was very nice. Plenty of tables with umbrellas for good shade. Got some eats from the Noodles and Stix food truck and it was killer. Good beer selection of both in house brews and outside brews in cans or bottles. We will definitely return....hopefully mask free next time.

Im a huge fan of sour beers and they always have a great selection. They also have some off the wall beers in addition to the standard styles. Trivia night has been fun and they have various food trucks that come out so you can sample different places. One of my favorite beer drinking places in the area!

I love breweries and brewery hopping. Of the breweries Ive visited, I havent reviewed them. I needed to review this one. The decor is typical for breweries that I visit, but yet, still unique. And its October 9, so they have additional Halloween decor, which is a nice touch. Theyre spacious (for a small brewery, if you arent familiar with small breweries) and have a cute beer garden/patio area. Their beers are high quality, tasty, and they have a good variety of styles. If youre in the area, and even if you arent, its definitely worth a visit.

I definitely recommend.Scortched Earth offers something for everyone. They continue to show love to all styles of beer. They constantly use locally grown fruits to create exotic variants of many of their core staples. They offer a constantly changing Sour and Barrel aged line that will keep you coming back to try whats new. While their core staples are really good, their small batch taproom only exclusives are hidden gems that are creative and packed with flavor.I do have to give a shout out to their Octoberfest. Its one of the best brewery variations I have ever had. A perfect balance with the right amount of Carmel notes.as of 2020, here is my list of favorites1. blood orange Hickster variant: blood orange infused Cream Ale2. Passion Angle: passion fruit and hibiscus infused Belgian Ale3. Crypt Keeper: imperial pumpkin Porter4. Octoberfest5. Flipmode: New England IPA6. Agent GoldBrew on Nitro: golden nitro milk stout (where your eyes deceive your taste buds)7. Schwarzbier: German style dark Lager8. Sodfather: American pale LagerNow, Im not a big fan of Sour or Barrel Age, but I have heard great things from people who enjoy those styles.Scortched Earth is constantly innovating and trying new things. Their staff is friendly and for being such a small brewery they are pushing out some awesome stuff.being that its a Veteran owned business is another added feather in the cap

Beer is OK but over priced, staff is clueless and can be rude. When busy the staff is easily overwhelmed and tend to only serve their regulars. This place could be awesome if they would hire competent staff and put in a Juke Box so people play music they enjoy versus the bartenders play list on there phone.

Great location, atmosphere, and most importantly beer! They dont have a kitchen or food available, but you can order delivery from a number of restaurants in the area. The location is a little hidden and off the main road - if you are not local you could easily miss it. The decor inside is cozy and warm feeling. But on a personal level, I just never liked any beer I tried there. I tried to like it, but alas it was not for me.

Beer was ok. Overpriced for what it is. Customer Service was terrible at best.Warning: Crawlers are TO GO only! You cannot open it on premises and they do NOT tell you this anywhere on the menu. My father had his 32oz taken away and they didnt even offer him up a complimentary beer for the error. He paid for the beer and they couldve made it right by just giving him a glass to poor it in.$10 down the drain, literally. Promptly left after that and will not be back.

Small tasting area but adequate depending on when you arrive, so plan accordingly. The aromas and beers are not disappointing. Those who drink wine or liquor are your drivers from this stop just like most tap rooms in this area. They have several brews above 8abv. Take care, but return and use a ride sharing service to get home.

Scorched Earth used to okay. Their location is not ideal, but they do have some very good beers. The bar layout is awkward and their customer service is terrible. The staff is rude and unfriendly. I made my final visit to their establishment Friday. It was a horrible experience. On Saturday, this brewery participated in The Great Oudoors Beer Trail for the McHenry County Conservation. The event started at 1:00 and went until 5:00. Scorched Earth was out of beer at 2:30. I am done with Scorched Earth. Too bad this place has failed at being a go to local brewery. If you are looking for a fun, friendly brewery experience, check out the Cary Brewery or the McHenry Brewery. These both have very good beers and they are way better at customer service!
