I’ve been going to Alexandria Gold and silver for about three years now and when I first started coming here I was just selling my families old jewelry they wanted to get rid of. One day when I came over there I noticed another customer buy coins from Lamont. I did not know anything about coins or stacking gold and silver bullion So I asked him about it. Lamont and Jason both friendly people are very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of information and advice about stacking and that’s where it all began. Ever since I’ve been going there I noticed Their prices are so much better then those big online dealers and other stores around the area and I continue to go to them because of that. Even when selling my items both Lamont and Jason give the best prices in town.

I was wandering around trying sell my old high-school ring and after going to a few other gold buying places and pawn shops in the area, I came here. Lamont gave me the best deal of all of them and, by comparison, put two places (who were obviously trying to rip me off) to absolute shame. I am not one to share feedback and rate the places I visit, but I have to for this place. Usually, these types of stores have some shady characters that just want to rip you off.Lamont makes you feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I had a coin that was a special edition and Lamont pretty much begged me to sell it online because I could make more, lol. By far the best and most reasonable buyer In the DC northern Virginia area,dealing with metals. He gives the best deals possible, I have recommended him to several people and they have all been more than happy with there transaction deffinitly give him a shot.

All other 5 star reviews are true. It sounded too good to be true, but they really do give you the best deal on gold and silver. In my case, they gave me 2700 dollars for what Woodbridge Gold and Pawn offered me 1700, and American Pawn offered 2200 for the same thing. Few notes: 1. They only buy gold and silver, not precious stones, so if you have an engagement ring, or diamond earrings, this is not a place to sell it. 2) They are a little tricky to find, took me about 20 minutes. Its not a pawn shop, its located in a 4 story tall office building, and there are no signs outside. You have to go inside a building and go to the 3rd floor, and it looks more like a doctors office, actually.

I did my homework ( current spot pricing etc) before coming to Alexandria Gold and Silver. I fully expected to haggle. Was offered fair value for everything I had to sell out of the gate. No BS, no dance, no foolin. Ive been back a couple of times and had the same experience. My ONLY caveat is that you should call ahead to make sure there someone in the office. This is a private business and as a result, there can be some looooong lunch hours.
