Outstanding price on quilting fabrics good customer service.

I am extremely disappointed in the sewing machine tune-up process And the fees. It seems cheaper to buy another machine. Not to mention It took several callsTo the store Before they answer.

Staff was friendly, prices were reasonable. They didnt have a lot of choices for upholstery, but what they had was great.

The place is not bad. The employees are nice and attentive. They have common material on stock. Its the least common that they dont e.g. 91%poly 9%spandex, 80%cotton 20% poly

The staff is so friendly and helpful. I asked many questions and they always provide consultative advice! Much better than Joanns as I needed a bit over 4 yards of fabric and she told me that would no problem. I havent been able to order an exact amount of fabric from Joanns in the past. Will definitely be coming back here instead in the future!

Are there any type of coupons you provide for the store? Or do you match prices from other stores? What is the awesome thing about your store. I was there yesterday and customer service in the cutting area with Christmas stuff at 3 :30pm the lady was not that helpful she would not get out to help me find plad fabrics. She asked me to go ask some one else because it was not her area what ever that means..

COVID19: Theres a line outside marked by red tape spaced 6ft apart. A man is controlling the number of people in the store and was very proactive about it. He even brought out water bottles when we were waiting in the sun.Cotton prices were good ($6.99 for licensed and $8.99 for quilting cotton/batiks). The cotton thread was expensive IMO ($9.99 for 6000yd). Ive seen this for about $2.99 and cheaper in other places).Overall, very satisfied with the store and will return.

Went in with my friend, a bride to be, to find some fabric for her wedding and the employees were SO SWEET and excited to help. They helped us make sure the fabric was right for what she wanted and gave us some amazing insight and help figuring out the length we needed. Overall had a fantastic experience! Thank you!!!

A huge variety of fabrics, notions, and cutting tools.

Bright store with a great selection and organization. The major sections I noticed are notions, fashion, quilting, and home dec; not sure if there are more, as I mostly lurked in quilting. The quilting section is broken into many subsections by theme and color, e.g. solids, florals, batiks, stripes, etc. I was shopping for 19 different fabrics for a quilt and found everything I needed easily. I’m remembering so many prints I liked and would have bought if I weren’t already buying so much lol. There was one employee in particular working checkout who brightened my day just by being so cheerful, and the first thing I saw when I walked in was her aggressively sanitizing a shopping cart before putting it away. My minor complaints are the thread selection didn’t fit my preferences, and the prepackaged batting supply was sparse and needed restocking. I will have to continue to buy large cotton thread cones online.

I Love it, Love it, Love it! This is a very unique fabric store. They have all kinds of fabrics, trimmings, notions, and services. If youre looking for African, leather, suede, vinyl, cotton, and foam they have it all.The sales and cashier were very personable and friendly. They take their time with each customer.Their prices are very reasonable and they have grab bags of items like buttons, flowers, zippers, and piping.They are open until 7:00 pm weekdays. The store is clean and there are no strong odors from chemicals or dyes.This place got my creative juices flowing! I will be going back for two projects that I am working on and need some fabrics!

I took my daughter fabric shopping there recently. I had gifted her with a patch collection that I had been making for over 40 years. She wanted to get some fabric in order to make a wall hanging of all the patches. the staff was friendly and helped us find what we were looking for which was a faded denim fabric.

Love browsing (and buying) at FPB. Theyve got everything you could possibly need from a fabric store, and more. I confess, Ive made a greedy little pig of myself in their wool remnants bin several times. Love it!

I do not normally write review but for this one I feel the store deserves one. The store is really clean . it has a big collection and choices. The customer service of every employee is excellent. I want to give a special thanks to Donna. She shows beyond excellent customer services. She listens attentively, her smile never left her face. she turns the frustrating situation to easy one. I visited the store two times spending couple of hours searching for what I want and I was very frustrated but I left so happy. Deep thanks for every person works in Fabric place Basement.

I just visited the store for the first time and I cant say enough good things about it. The staff was friendly and helpful, the selection is fantastic - especially for quilters, though there are some really nice choices for apparel as well, and the price point is great. You will get quality fabric for cheaper than the premium fabrics sold at the big box stores. Plus, my 6 year old loved picking some buttons from the huge button bin in the middle of the store. Well be back often!

I was so happy this store took over the location after Hancocks closed. I live nearby so go often but probably would even if I lived farther. Very good selection of reasonably priced apparel, home decor, and quilting fabrics, including silks, some organic cotton, some nice Asian and metallic fabrics, and border stripe fabric, though not many panels. Above average selection of batiks and 108 quilt backing. They also sell patterns and notions, some quilt templates, cutting tools, Quilters Dream batting, pillow forms, and foam. plus a few quilt books and several inexpensive quilt patterns, but not many magazines. Focus is on sewing & quilting, not other crafts like jewelry, knitting, etc. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Such an attractive selection of fabrics at good prices. Much more upscale than the previous tenant. Great service, upbeat staff. Even features recycling of buttons and fancy collars to rummage through. A joy to shop here.

Visiting my nephew in Virginia and was looking for a fabric store, found Fabric Place Basement, the service was awesome, everyone went over and beyond to make my shopping experience easier. Will be driving back from Montgomery Al to shop again. Love this store

This is my neighborhood fabric store. I always find great fabric for clothing and quilts, as well as updating the curtains and furniture around the house, and the staff is always pleasant and helpful.

Much more interesting assortment than the chains. The prices are attractive, not dirt cheap. I will make the trek again.

As a quilter, I was astonished by the enormous selections of colors and styles. The prices are soooo reasonable. Also, the silks, linens and knits were lovely, and also at great prices. Im in heaven now that Fabric Basement has arrived.MARY

Meh. This store has a lot of fabric, but is definitely catering to a couple of sets of people. Quilters, and it appears also ladies who make beautiful, flowing burkas and saris (so lots of elegant and see fabrics). Thats all great, but it has been at the expense of many fabric types and styles that the Hancock store used to carry. There are very few fun kids fabrics anymore, just for babies and someones idea of, I guess, toddlers? Probably not fair for me to complain because the stuff I want and used to get here is now gone, because Im sure quite a few people would see this as an improvement, but, for example, the seasonal prints are just gone. Not many costumes being made from this selection anymore, Im sad to say. They do still have a lot of upholstery and home decor fabric, which actually takes too much of the store. And rows and rows of calico for quilters. If you dont want flat cotton or sheer sparkly veiling, you might have a problem. Fabric stores are going the way of the dino, though, so I guess Im glad it is at least here... It does have a lot of stuff, just not what I was looking for.

Pricing reasonable. Very wide variety of fabrics and trims. Oilcloth and sewable leather hides. Quilting and cotton type fabrics arranged either by colorways, theme, or manufacturer. I will go back.

I was looking for a pattern for my Galra Cosplay for Katsucon in 2020.They had the GREATEST I mean an excellent variety of fabrics.I would actually go to this place which is 45 mins away from my house, than Joanns 10 mins is closer.!!!😊❤Their prices are astonishing.This is better than Joanns, im sorry, but i vote 5 stars on this.Im amazed!Love this place!!💕Good customer service, they are very nice.I actually loved talking to them, they are warm and welcoming.⚘Ill be happy to share my cosplay on here when im done, they have helped me so much with this.Thank you Fabric Place Basement!!!!

The price is on the expensive end, but I buy a lot from them since it is the closest store to me. Some workers are nice and helpful but yesterday, I feel like Im being accused of stealing. I was in the store with my young toddlers, so I have to keep an eye on them. I often pick something to look at and put them back if I decide not to buy. One lady who had been following me for quite a while, came asking me where the patterns were at that I had and if I put the them back because she didnt see them after I had them in my hands. I told her I put everyone of them back where they belong. She stared at the rack with disbelieving look. I dont think Ill go back there again.

Great store! Alittle bit of backstory is that the store before this use to be a hancock fabrics. When hancocks fabrics was closing, everyone was rushing to get the last of the fabrics while they still could because Joanns is far away. But then Fabric Basement swooped in and saved all the Crafters in the area by popping up in the same spot Hancock fabrics use to be in! I couldnt be more greatful The staff are friendly and the store has a nice selection of fabrics. Its the little details is what I love about this store like how they use paper bags instead of plastic. The only picture I have of this store is the little diorama of the store
